Me and family went in on Xmas Eve and it was the first time we felt very uncomfortable. The lady on the counter didn't look like she wanted to be there. Her attitude was not good at all. As she was serving us she was saying that we are closing in 10 minutes. Most of the chairs had been stacked up and put away, Which is fine but it didn't make any sense because it was 3:15pm and the sign opening time for Christmas Eve said closing at 4:00 p.m, so gave us a good 30 minutes. My wife witnessed the manager shouting at one of the staff on 2 occasions, in front of customers which wasn't right at all. I understand it was Christmas Eve and they probably want to get home as we all do if you are working, But if you agree to be open until 4:00 p.m you can't be telling people you are closing when it's only 3:15pm. If that's the case, you close at 3:30pm instead of 4pm. It might be a while until we go back there again. It's a shame really of the bad experience because We have been there loads of times over the years. But on a positive note Ice cream is very good.

This seems to be a very popular place! You can eat in or takeaway. Even on a cold autumn day there were plenty of folks stopping by for icecream. If you're an icecream fan you'll love the various sundaes they create. My partner had the strawberry sundae and a cup of coffee. I can't eat icecream unless there's a heatwave and so I had a pot of tea and a toasted teacake. We were able to relax and take our time, reading the newspaper, which the cafe had. We'll come again and try something else on the menu.

Confusing pricing. £8 for a milkshake and I’m not sure why? Pretty basic. Would expect about £5 but extortionate. Even as a takeaway. No extras for that price like sauces ect. Wrong straw provided also, chocolate contained just sank to the bottom and needed a spoon to eat it. Could do to assess costings. Staff nice enough

I have gone to Tootsies many times with my family and we’ve always experienced lovely service from the staff who are helpful and welcoming. The ice cream is delicious, so many to pick from. Every time we’ve visited, it’s been clean and tidy. I’ve never left a review before, I’m a bit lazy when it comes to reviews. I read reviews on Trip Advisor before my most recent visit and I was quite shocked to read negative reviews. I thought something must have happened since my last visit to prompt negative reviews. No, everything was the same. The staff were friendly and helpful. They Offered ice cream samples to help with the decision making process. Everywhere was clean and tidy (including floors and bathroom). We had a lovely visit. We will definitely be going back again. Tootsies definitely deserve full marks, for quality, service and cleanliness. I Highly recommend.

THE BEST Ice Cream Parlour outside of Italy. Quality ice cream, delicious flavours... we are regulars and have been enjoying tootsies ice cream for years. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for... 100% every time... delicious 😋

Three birthday 'girls' out for afternoon tea, did not dissapoint, lovely friendly staff, very good sandwiches, and super selection of cakes. Had to ask for doggy bags as too much to eat at one sitting. Nothing too much trouble, very busy, which tells you how good this place is. First time visit, will not be the last.

Perfect little place for a snack or a lovely dessert (which are to die for). No issues at all even with my daughter who has a nut allergy; very accommodating. We had a fabulous time

I've never been here when there's not been a queue, but it always moves quickly, and the ice cream is fantastic. Seating indoor or outdoor.

Came for my birthday and didn’t disappoint! We booked a table of 10 and were wonderfully accommodated. There was something for everyone and the staff were lovely. Despite how hot it was they also had hot apple pie to the delight of my partner’s mum, and plenty for his 2 younger sisters too. I have a severe nut and peanut allergy and the lady who served us was brilliant, ingredient checking everything for me and it tasted amazing! Would very much recommend for families and people with allergies like myself.

Lunch was lovely milkshake amazing. Cooked breakfast was amazing. Wish I knew where the sausages come from, they are extra delicious. X

staff are grumpy and there one lady that makes the milkshake these days and they arr rubbish the over staff that have made my milkshake are realy nice and thick and can taste the flavours i wont be getting milkshakes from there from now on ill make them at home for cheaper and better

Been here a couple of times now for a little sweet treat and a coffee for myself. Such a friendly bunch of staff, laid back atmosphere and beautiful food. Always perfectly presented. Can see myself piling on the pounds at this rate haha.

Great little ice cream parlour/cafe. Nice outside area for the good weather and pleasant interior when not. Friendly, helpful staff can't do enough to help. Very good coffee too!!

Lovely sundae, fast friendly service

Driven past this for quite some time and always fancied it as tend to see large queues so assumed it was nice Went to sit down and stood at the counter for a while before a lady got up and asked someone to serve, every table was a tip, all full of pots and the place looked very dirty. All staff were very young and pleasant but obviously not very inspired to clear tables and clean up. Ordered a cappuccino and a slice of Victoria sponge, waited....and waited, coffee came and it was dreadful, literally couldn't drink it so left it. (Good job given what was coming) Was then asked if I wanted my Victoria sponge hot ...which is a new one. When it arrived the staff member then sprayed the table and wiped it down, covering the coffee in cleaning liquid and that was it for me. Absolutely will not be returning. I get they can be busy but 5 staff I counted and not one bothering to clean or clear tables sends an awful message. Maybe the ice creams are nice but the cafe seems to be a secondary concern and was a tip when I visited

Overrated, I've cream is very so so, service is terrible, grumpy staff. Avoid. Better off going to Billy Bob's in Barton if you want great ice cream.

Always a pleasure to visit Tootsies! Amazing selection of flavours, friendly staff and nice atmosphere when sun is shining. Great asset to the local area. Hope to visit again soon, when we get some sun!!

We dropped in for 2 ice creams. They were very tasty and well worth every penny. The cones were great - we shall be coming back for more flavours yo try.

Called in for a breakfast on way up north on my bike. Ordered a full English breakfast, pit of tea and a can of cola. Can and tea came within a minute or two, breakfast however turned up 30 mins later, and was told this was due to losing the order. When breakfast arrived, the egg was like rubber, the bacon was very small, and tasteless, and the hash brown was undercooked and fell apart. And the cost for this tasteless and bland breakfast was £13.50, which I found very expensive. The tea, after stiring and standing was very very weak, and obviously made with very cheap catering tea bags. The staff and surroundings though where very good. It was below average, and not to be repeated. Sorry, just being honest.

Called in today on my motorbike on way to Fleetwood. Ordered a breakfast, pot of tea and a can of diet coke. I got my can and pot of tea within a minute or so, so was looking forward to my full English soon after. It didn't turn up until 30 mins after the drinks. When it did turn up, it was average to say the least. Egg yoke was like rubber, and the bacon rashers must have been off a piglet, or a pigmy pig. Quite tasteless and bland if I'm being totally honest. And what really yanks my chain is that you have to butter your own toast, which was quite dry and not warm in the slightest. You live and learn though as they say. The staff were friendly enough though! Clouds & silver linings I suppose, wasn't all bad. Oh yeah, the hash brown wasn't cooked properly and fell apart, and the tea was extraordinarily weak too. And i had ALL of this for £13.50. Not exactly cheap then. Just being honest.

We have not had a large fruity ice cream for around 60+ years, so attracted by a recent advert decided to try our luck. We are glad we did, we got good help in our choice and enjoyed our Cherry ice cream with 3 scoops and plenty of juicy Cherries. I think we will not wait another 60 years for another one. Excellent experience.

This is a very popular place on a warm day so expect a small queue. They serve a good selection of quality ice cream in various size servings as well as waffles and a selection of warm food and drink. There is seating inside and outside on the verge next to the A59 but it’s not too intrusive and it’s worth putting up with for the ice cream. We will definitely be returning here.

Our favourite ice cream parlour. Me and my kids have always loved stopping by. Today there was a bit of an unfortunate incident involving my young daughter, which wasn't the fault of the shop owner or staff, but they were lovely and gave her a free ice cream anyway, which was kind of them. It's well worth a visit and they've always have a really good selection of top quality ice cream, which I think is good value.

Fabulous ice cream and pancakes. Only looses a star because they no longer have black pudding in the breakfasts.

We came across this gem of an ice cream shop and cafe whilst travelling from Southport to Blackpool. What an excellent place. The cafe was quite busy when we first got there, which is a good sign. We managed to get a table easily. The different flavours of ice cream is incredible. The desserts menu is amazing. I had the strawberry delight and you can chose which the three scoops of ice cream you want. My partner had the knickerbocker glory again with three scoops of his choice of ice cream. Both came with loads of fruit. Strawberries for me, strawberry sauce, crispy fan wafer and a biscuit curl. Unfortunately this day they didn't have any whipped cream. But that didn't matter as they were both delicious without the cream. I'm not a fan of scooped ice cream, but I am converted now. The ice cream was delicious. The cafe does do food other than ice cream. The cafe is accessible to wheelchair users. There is a disabled toilet and a car park nearby. Well worth a visit. The staff were lovely and friendly

Tootsies serve the most delicious ice cream, otherwise it's a local cafe, value for money; would like to see the plastic tables and chairs replaced by something more in trend/up to date.

Excellent find!! Dog friendly, lovely well cooked and tasty breakfast. Fantastic latte too. Extra sausage for Molly. Very friendly staff and great service. Worth waiting for such a good well cooked breakfast. Definitely be back!

I proper love this place. We've been going for years. Sometimes the tables don't get cleaned up promptly but to be honest it's always busy and they work really hard. Other than that can't fault it. Ice cream always great with loads of choices and the food is great and tasty. They do screw Halloween food for the kids etc. Well good I tell thee.

Christine is an incredibly welcoming individual 😇and real asset to the company. The breakfast was also delightful.

Fabulous ice creams at a great price

Popped in for a cool down ice-cream during a random heatwave in September. I ordered mint & choc with Oreo flavour ice-cream it was incredible so soft and creamy, and good value for money. Well worth the 20 min drive and very good portion sizes too. Service fab and AC was a bonus as my ice-cream didn't melt as quick as it would of outside. Ample free parking too which is a huge bonus.

The icecream scoops were so big, couldn’t even fit the toppings on and they had to come in a separate tub. Would prefer a more manageable size, seemed over whelming, especially for the kids.

Delicious Ice-cream. We stopped on the way back from Soutport and with both outside and inside seating and a choice of portion sizes it's easy to find something to eat for everyone.

Amazing! Ordered 2 ice cream milkshakes £3.50 each which i think is an absolute bargain! Lots of staff so service is really quick no matter the length of the queue which can get out of the door. Buts thats the quality and rep this place has landed. Plenty of seating aswell. Only suggestion i would make is have a seperate exit as when the queue exceeds the door people have to squeeze past to get out. Looking forward to going again soon

Went today at a very busy time for ice cream with a friend. We have a few issues with allergies and the lady serving us was knowledgable,patient and understanding. Excellent customer service,oh and the ice cream was great too.

Sat outside eating double cones of ice creams having been served by an exceptionally nice lady who has only recently started working here. Wonderful personal skill, absolute pleasure.

Wow is all I can say. Never had so much ice cream fit into a double cone before. 2 scoops was more like 5 or 6 definitely value for money. £4 for 2 scoops with nuts on top. I had mint choc chip as well as one on my daughter's. My wife had Biscoff and Chocolate brownie. My other daughter had Chocolate Brownie and Bubblegum. 5 extremely large ice creams for £25 could now beat it anywhere.

Just had a lovely BLT and luxury hot chocolate from Tootsies. Friendly, quick service and lovely hot food. Bacon was extra crispy just as requested and hot choc came with marshmallows and flake in a separate pot so they hadn't all melted by the time I drank it. Thank you Tootsies!

Ice cream was lovely. Not as much choice as Wallings ice cream. Not much seating inside. The queue was long but even after paying we waited 10-15 minutes for just a milkshake even though the rest of us had our ice cream.

Never been before but would certainly return. I've driven past many times and noticed it but didn't go in. Staff are friendly, an excellent selection of ice cream (including black forest!!) along with a good range of breakfast and lunch meals too. Parking is just outside and free to all

First time visit to the cafe, ordered two full english breakfast's, the food was excellent and the price very reasonable indeed. The service and staff were first class, the only downside was the toast, it was very under done, for our tastes at least. Overall we will be going again.

Always get fantastic service, and in my honest opinion the best ice cream in the NW, friendly staff and delicious food, I just wish there was a Tootsies closer to home but well worth the 30/40 minute drive ,(which we do as often as possible).
