The most delicious bakery was close to me. Literally every day I break my fast with it, delicious in a way that you cannot count on types that are not halal. Ask them and they will teach you ✋🏻

I went to him twice, the first time I had a reasonable almond croissant The second time, I ordered a cheese croissant and confirmed that I wanted a cheese croissant When the order came, it contained pork, and I asked to change it and they refused, knowing that it is clear the reason for my refusal, which is that my religion does not allow me to eat this type. However, the seller was very rude in the response. He said, “You have paid, so we can’t return it.” The simplest thing was to apologize for the mistake. Definitely give it a try. It is not repeated and there are many options in London that I did not stop at.

They were out of ice. Iced tea tastes like flavored water. They were out of Chai as well. Tables were not clean.

02. 08. 2024 I think the lady had a bad night or was simply very unwell. Kindness 0. The counter still had about 20 products, it was almost empty. I bought a roll with feta and spinach. I don't know what the hell non-chewable sticks were inside and spinach leaves that I had to spit out because they were too hard. Since the prices are enormous, the quality of the products leaves much to be desired. Totally disappointed and unsatisfied. I'm definitely not going back!

The egg pie is amazing, the croissants are very delicious and light, and the cinnamon is special and we come every time because the service is excellent and classy.

Food isn’t special, just regular taste in small potions. Staff is unfriendly (as others have already described). Tables aren’t cleaned at all, the toilets look like they’ve never been cleaned too.

Stop somewhere. The cakes were very good. But we ordered two lattes, a scone and another small cake. The sign for scones said cream and jam, which we didn't get. When we went up and asked for it, we were told that it was extra, but we were lucky and were graciously allowed to get it for free today. When we had reached half way through the food and the coffee still hadn't arrived, while people who had come after us had had their coffee, we stood up and found out that they had forgotten us. Also, we had to pay extra to eat on site, which we did when we also needed to use the toilet, only to find it out of order. Also, the clerk behind the counter was very angry, rude and arrogant, and seemed very indifferent to the mistakes she made

The restaurant itself is quite charming, but my experience was unfortunately tarnished by a particularly unpleasant interaction with one of the staff members. I requested a spinach pie, only to be told that it was no longer available. However, just five minutes later, I noticed the same item being served to another customer. Additionally, there were dishes left on my table that I asked to be cleared, but the staff member completely ignored my request. He was neither welcoming nor polite, which left me feeling angry and disappointed. I had hoped for a much better experience, but the poor service overshadowed the otherwise nice ambiance of the place.

GAIL's bakery has it all! A delicious selection of sweet and savory pastries and tasty coffee. We enjoyed their sausage rolls, sultana scones with clotted cream and jam, and pistachio/rose cake. They went perfectly a the rich Americano. We were also able to snag a seat to enjoy it all.

My order was apple pie and custard with blueberries. The first was delicious and we would recommend it as the second one had a not-so-bitter taste. The vanilla tea was excellent and had a nice smell.

My friends had the sausage rolls and said they were good. I had the blueberry and custard brioche. Was tasty. Would go well with coffee.

I was happy to see a Gail's not far from my hotel, having had a pleasant memory of my previous trip to Pimlico, I even abandoned the free hotel breakfast to eat porridge at Gail's. I first came across a waiter who barely spoke English, I understand that there are a lot of Japanese in the neighborhood, but still...then the manager(?) without smiling, came to act as interpreter, with a haughty air (because he works in Marylebone?!) paradoxically the whole thing reminds me more of a pho restaurant where, as Ali Wong says, you're emotionally abused but you still go there for the good pho lol , except this time, the scone was cold! In short, this type of service would shock me less at pho 13, but something doesn’t feel right here at Gail’s. And the WiFi didn't work!

Food is great, as any Gail’s, but this venue never cleans up their tables, and most of servers just ignore clients while they finish chatting. I used to come daily and had asked to warm up a bit my scones and never been an issue, but this time the server not only ignored me for a while but also said she couldn’t do it, in such an unwelcome way that I decided to leave and never coming back again. As a hospitality worker, I’m very disappointed. Go to Pret next door and avoid this venue, same food quality but outstanding service and better price.

We came today for breakfast. A muffin and a chocolate, 8 euros… The glasses are dirty, the seat I'm not even talking about. Too bad at this price. I do not recommend.

At my table eating a bun and having a coffee a beggar walked in .. I was on my iPhone at the table. She put a “I’m hungry “ paper into my face … fingered my sandwich … so I looked up shocked , about to say something and she snatched my iPhone and calmly walked out. I made a police report as the manager said the police have to request the cct footage. The police have contacted them and they have REFUSED to hand it over !!! Shame on you Gail’s. My investigation has been closed due to the managers attitude of not caring about the customer

We came to Gail’s today when we couldn’t find a reservation for afternoon tea. Boy am I glad we did! I really wanted to try a biscuit with clotted cream and jam and I LOVED it! It was so delicious, I plan to go back for more tomorrow! The biscuit is perfect and their cream and jam combo is seriously delicious. I have been reminiscing about eating it all day long! I also had the Parmesan chicken sandwich, the bun was delicious, the chicken was well prepared, seasoned nicely and had a great semi-spicy sauce on it. I was really surprised how delicious it was and would order it again. My husband had the ham quiche which he enjoyed and said the brownie finger was a “better than normal” brownie which for him is a great compliment because he’s quite the brownie connoisseur and usually restaurant brownies fall flat. Basically, if you’re thinking about going here, do it! But go early, I got the last scone of the day shortly before 3pm.

Terrible service!! Asked for a scone next to a tea to eat inside, got a cheddar scone and a tea to go. Will definitely not come back.

I work in the area and these guys make me smile every single time. Today, Pawel, made the yummiest cappuccino without burning the milk. Honestly, this is so precious in busy London. OK, I know it is Monday morning, but come on Gail's employees, try to put on a smile when you serve your customers!!! The Asian male employee has the most grumpy look ever... he did say thank you with his grumpy look. Maybe it's NOT a good job fit for him, should consider working behind the scenes.

Morning of 11 Dec 2023. No festive cheer here! Guy at till with glasses robotic. Need to improve customer service. Kitchen catering for a corp order thus long wait for breakfast… homework mark… could do better.

Great cafe, alternative to Starbucks. Lots of pastries and savory items to eat or out. Plenty of cafe drinks. Seating indoors or out.

I purchased a Ham & Cheese croissant and a Spinach & Feta Roll, and both were delicious! However, I asked the staff if there were any nuts in the products I selected. One staff member said, "I don't know" and the other printed off the ingredient list (did not hand it over to me) and said, "well are you going to pay for it?". How does your staff not know anything about your product offering?

I visited Friday afternoon for coffee and cake having collected my daughter from school. The staff were attentive but tables weren’t wiped and the loo didn’t have soap or paper towels. It was pretty unpleasant. There isn’t a signed rota for staff to check the toilet. I’m sure this would help. Thankfully I had hand sanitiser .

The food was nice but the seating area and the cleanliness is not that good..

I came here excited to try it for the first time, but one of the staff members was rude enough to ruin the whole experience. I asked him about warming my pastry and he just said no and when I told him why not he replied "why not!!" with an offensive tone. Never coming back. The pastries were average and the flat white was not worth it.

Wow! Having visited this establishment in Didsbury, we were we excited to have breakfast here . Unfortunately, you could’ve used the sourdough to build a small town house…… sizeable yes, however, I needed a chisel and hammer to get into it……. It’s a bit grubby inside also…. No one wipes the tables …. The loo didn’t look like it had, had a good clean either. Great coffee….. very undercooked bacon and crazily rock solid bread……. It was actually funny 🙈 Probs ok for a coffee takeout….. NB they don’t do the syrups….. NB I’m writing this from the dentist…. My bill is on the way 😂

Not clean. I had breakfast there this morning around 7.30 and the floor was filthy. I don’t think it had been moped in days. The toilet didn’t have toilet paper and was out of soap, the walls and floor were dirty. The staff are friendly but the manager needs to really tighten the cleaning regime.

I come to Gail’s as a regular but most of the branches, including this one, has very poor cleanliness, leaving customers having to clean their own tables from previous customers’ trash before using. The place is filthy, tables never cleaned with coffee stains on it, bread crumbs on the floor. Proper hygiene & cleanliness should be a bare minimum for a big food company/branch like this.

Coffee and pastries are in line with the standard Gail’s brand. However, the staff is hit and miss in terms of service. The most recent experience involved a lady who was rude and shouted at customers as she was not happy to be working on the till taking orders (she preferred washing dishes). It seems like she was taking out some internal discrepancies between staff on its customers. Disappointing, rude service.

Dear Gail's, You promised to follow up on this from previous reviews from other customers, but I encountered the same issues this morning. Unoccupied used and untidy tables outside - not a staff member insight to clean up and make presentable for customers. I observed for the entire 30mins I sat to eat a meal. A meal which payment was processed for me by the most unwelcoming and rude staff member. Two stars were given because the lady who made me the coffee was very pleasant - I guess she observed my previous treatment, and it was her way of apologising for her teammate. I frequent the Blackheath and Soho branches, and service is always impeccable. Seymour Place needs to follow on their example. I'm so annoyed!

Delicious pastries and good coffee. They have an app where you get your first coffee free which is a great bonus. I had the flourless chocolate cake which was deliciously rich afternoon treat and the overnight oats which was a perfect breakfast. I am looking forward to going back for more yummy treats. It has the added bonus of friendly staff.
