My husband and I stayed for two nights and dined here both evenings. We very much enjoyed all of the dishes that we tried - starters, mains and desserts. The jalfrezi fish curry was the best that I have eaten outside of an Indian restaurant. Also, the breakfast menu didn't disappoint. The full-english was good, but the dropped scones with bacon, poached eggs and maple syrup was lip-smackingly good. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Even on a very busy curry night we had the same level service as on a quiet Monday. We shall certainly stay again when visiting the area, and thoroughly recommend dining and/or staying here.

Absolutely brilliant pub and now one of my new favourites. Really quirky layout as it's clearly a very old build that is full of fun and character. Great friendly staff, very dog friendly and some fabulous beers on hand pull. Couldn't really ask for more ... But if you did you'd find an amazing space outside too!

A local pub. Looked good for food.

We had an absolutely brilliant lunch here. Despite being Easter Monday, the pub wasn't very busy (it really deserves to be) and we nestled in to its incredibly ancient interior. Everything the four of us ordered was faultless and delicious, from a simple burger to the perfect pork belly roast. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. This was a delightful and happy experience and we'll be back.

been sat here for 30 minutes in the car waiting for click and serve, they have not once bothered to look to check outside if i’m here, i can see that my drink is done on the counter but unable to get it due to my child. the drink has been on the side for twenty minutes now 🙃i will be leaving and i best get a refund for this, surely they can’t give me a drink that’s been left out for how long and haven’t bothered to try to give me it

Lovely food. Sunny day. It was very busy. The food was slightly slow, but the chicken burger and beef burger were worth the short wait.

Stumbled across Golant following an aborted trip to Fowey. Delightful find and kudos to the chef for accommodating a difficult combination of food allergies at short notice.

A very old but pricey Everard's pub. Had to take our pint of "Old original" back as it was undrinkable a quick swap and all was sorted. Five different handpulls. The beer garden was good with Comfortable seating and heating.

Community owned pub. Pure Dead Brilliant.

Where to start .... after a 45 minute drive as back few years ago the food was amazing went this evening the food was not good the chef firstly needs to learn how to use his seasoning garlic mushrooms had no taste just tasted of butter an cream ... an mains well we'll start with the steak over done pepper sauce tasted of gravy with pepper corns thrown in ...an then to say a lasagne is homemade when its clearly come out of your microwave honestly incredibly disappointed 😞 only given it two stars as your front of house staff couldn't do more but can honestly say this place has honestly let its standards drop .....

Excellent host. Continental breakfast. Parking. Easy access to most areas in Cornwall. Would stay again.

Called in via a walk along the Calder & Hebble Navigation & River Calder. Nice & Sunny day, outside was busy and nice and cool inside with plenty of space, also Benny the cockerpoo enjoyed the shade & dog water bowl. Lots of beers mainly from Osset Brewer, friendly & welcoming staff.
