Lovely pub where we stopped when looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening. The carvery was amazing and the others had pizza, which again was great (had to take the rest away in a doggie bag. Would definitely recommend!

Overall excellent. Only docked the one star as I got a £60 parking fine for using the car park. You have to give your car registration details on a tablet which had only just been installed, and this seemed some time after the requirement was put in place and the car park camera was put in. But as a local it's hard to swallow getting a fine to use your local pub...

Really lovely carvery. We drive by and stopped on spec, had a delicious carvery, we sat outside and they even brought a treat for our dogs. Really lovely Sunday lunch experience.

It was my birthday so I arranged for a party of 6 with 2 cars, we are local to the pub so we know the carpark set up. On entering the restaurant side we were shown our table, we then said to the waitress we need to log our cars, oh don't worry about that she said if you get a ticket come back to us and we will sort it out. Eventually we got served. The waitress was so slow and very unprofessional, and we were the only one's in the restaurant. Several weeks later my two guests had parking tickets £60 or late payment £100 . I felt so responsible for the upset that I phoned the pub landlord only to be told it's out of his hands.one car driver appealed but was turned down and the other i appealed on behalf of the driver on line also turned down. The email notice for this was missed as they tagged a verification code on the end of appeals email weeks later. We now have run out of time so a £100 enforcement notice has been received. We shall never return under this management.

Excellent lunch taken here. The food was really good and plenty of it. Waiting time was fine, food great ab Mike was very friendly. As local we will definitely be back. Well done you.

We stopped here after collecting our car from the garage (so 2 cars). Thought we'd have a nice meal before returning home. The place it's was somewhat rundown and in need of some TLC. Frames on the wall with no pictures in and boxes of packet sauses stacked up at the side on the way in. After waiting about 1 hour for a lasagne and a burger (with 1 other table in the restaurant), we were presented with what I would consider a mediocre, edible meal. The service was no existent and after an hour we were only asked if we needed more drinks once the food arrived. A week later, we were issued with 2 parking fines for the pubs car par (£100 each car). I would just like to point out that a couple of days prior to this, we'd popped in for a drink and been informed that the car registration machine at the bar was not working. In addition to this, there was a black sack covering the metre outside, which was also misleading. We were not given any reminders or warnings from the staff inside when we sat down to eat (and we had plenty of time!!!). On informing the pub about the fines we'd they been issued, they accepted NO responsibility, despite clearly having a contractual agreement with the parking company as they have the machine at the bar. We were told to contact the parking company, who were 'being lenient at the moment' and who have subsequently turned down our evidence of being genuine customers of the pub. Needless to say, we will not be recommending or returning to this pub.

Very nice pub. Super friendly service, and the food was amazing. I had the steak and ale pie 🥧 😋 with a side of chips and vegetables.

Excellent Sunday Roast and friendly staff. They even gave us an extra chocolate mint for Humphrey, our Orang Utan glove puppet.

Six of us, all local, booked for an evening meal at the end of April. We hadn’t been since the pub reopened under new management, and were keen to try it again. There were only two other customers in the pub; which surprised us. The girl who welcomed us showed us to our table, then disappeared saying she would be back to take our order. When she eventually took our food order , it was almost an hour before it was served. During that time, the girl (now behind the bar) seemed particularly gloomy. The food, when it arrived, was to be honest quite average pub food. Not terrible, but not outstanding either. It was served with little enthusiasm. The barmaid started clearing our plates when five of us had finished. The sixth had not quite finished, so we asked her to leave his plate. It was still there when puddings arrived fifteen minutes later. We had to ask her to take the dirty plate away. In the meantime, we were treated to an argument taking place at the back of the restaurant between the barmaid and a gentleman who had come out of the kitchen. Our main issue of the evening however was not the food, nor the lack of friendly atmosphere. It was the car park. We knew , from signs in the car park, that we were supposed to give our car registration number at the bar. The car park is ANPR controlled. During the course of the evening we asked the barmaid, when she was back at the bar, about registering. We offered to give our car registration numbers ( we had two vehicles). She replied “ don’t worry, it’s not a problem, if you get a ticket let us know and we will get it cancelled “. Consequently we accepted her assurances. She DIDN’T tell us that there was a screen in the public bar ( which you don’t pass through when entering the restaurant from the car park) where we were supposed to put our car registration in. Needless to say both cars received Parking Charge tickets. Both drivers have told the landlord; and asked if he could cancel them in accordance with the promise given, and as we were genuine customers. “Nothing to do with me” was the response in one case; and a refusal in the other to even speak with the driver. Despite the fact that the barmaid was his daughter, he was not interested. I am aware that hospitality is struggling at the moment, and sympathise with many landlords who find it difficult. I have never, however, encountered such a total absence of interest in customers such as that displayed by St. Aubyns Arms. Despite being local, we will not patronise them again whilst under the current management.

Wow, Sunday lunch at it's best, it's enormous and tasty! I finished mine just but didn't have pudding. Beer was good. Would highly recommend this pub!

What a great pub!! I had time to kill en route to Camborne so popped in for a quick pint. Two real ales were on. Great real ale and a wonderful bar area. Plenty of dining space the other side of the pub and plenty of space outside in the nice garden - I imagine that it would be a wonderful sun-trap in the hot summer months (let's hope we get some!) I will definitely return on my bicycle in future.

Recently reopened, I fancied a pint in my local pub. Full of very friendly locals, served by very cheerful bar girl, excellent selection of beers and ales, including Doombar on the cold tap. A shelf full of gin and a few wines on the list. A simple food menu, don’t have a clue what the food is like, but sometimes you just want a good pint and an old school sociable atmosphere…which this pub definitely has.

Very tasty and good sized portions. The home made onion rings were great.

*sigh* and so yet again this 'establishment' has been hosting the notorious Four Burrow Hunt, who hunt foxes illegally and enjoy the brutality of watch a pack of dogs rip apart wildlife. Definitely one to avoid if you have morals and prefer your local pub to not host known animal abusers.

Excellent value for money, would go again, friendly pub

Our band played there. Midlife Crisis,great crowd and atmosphere, the food looked excellent, and people were commenting how good it was,well worth a visit.

We have visited here several times now on our visits to Cornwall every year or so, and we have never been disappointed. We had quite a long wait for our food but the waitress did come and apologise and explain that they had a large table order before us. The food was delicious, portion sizes were generous and everything tasted and looked fresh and the whole family loved their meals. The desserts were also great. No complaints here, we will happily return again.

Four of us attended for an evening meal on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday last week.The food was individually prepared and excellent value for money each day. We went for a meal in the restaurant area at 6pm last night to check out this pub which is under new ownership. We ordered our food and drinks and waited. After 5 minutes the waitress returned to say that neither of our choices were available so could we choose again. We asked if everything else was available and were told yes apart from one pie flavour. We quickly reordered different meals and thought that was done. Over the next 45 minutes we saw other tables order and wait for their meals and watch one diner return his whole meal calling it ‘inedible’. After 45 minutes the manageress arrived at our table to inform us that they didn’t have any chicken wings after all…..so could I choose again. We strongly suspect the last portion of chicken wings were given to a diner in the bar area when they should have been on our order. Whatever the case, we walked out and told the manageress it was totally unacceptable….to which she seemed indifferent, no apologies at all for the awful service just a shrug of her shoulders. If the new owners are trying to impress they are making one almighty mess of it. Avoid this place……you have been warned!! 1 star is purely for the free parking!!!

Family of 6 called in and we had a lovely meal at good value and surprisingly large portions. Will be happy to return during our stay in the area. Thank you to all the staff both out front and in the kitchen.

Comparing with previous managers. Less favourable in all areas. That aside thanks for being here. Service levels can be readily improved.

The staff were friendly and our waitress was excellent. In hindsight, it was telling that the staff we saw eating on their break was having a bowl of chips. The fries we had were excellent, crispy, soft and salty. Unfortunately, the rest of our food was wholly disappointing. The pasta was dry and had clumped together in the pan. The pizzas had soft bases and too much tomato and cheese - they certainly didn't live up to their 'stonebaked' label, or the price tag.

Thank you for your response. Update: We did go in through the back, door using his manual wheelchair this time as wife hoped it would fit through better but it was still a struggle. My Stepson, Wife and his Grandfather had lunch Two weeks before and experienced the same issues with his electric powerd wheelchair.

We went there for a quick drink on the way home. The pub is done out nice . Did not stop to eat. The barman took our order and disappeared. Sat there on our own. Had one drink and left

A very friendly pub with very hard working staff and good pub grub. Very generous portions which meant we had no room for dessert which was a shame as there was a good choice!

We had a meal there yesterday evening. Food was first class, nice surroundings and attentive service. Couldn't fault it.

Nice evening out. Booked ahead for party of five, forgot to tell them there would be a small dog as well. When we arrived, the presence of the dog required a shuffling of the table arrangement set out, but the staff were very accommodating. Friendly, attentive service and good quality comfort food: steaks, burgers, pies etc with really good chips and well-presented side salads. Enjoyable hum about the place too.

This is our local pub and the food is excellent. We eat here on regular occasions and they never disappoint. The staff are always friendly and the service is always quick. Keep up the good work!

The girls serving & the food & working the bar were fantastic. The only negative was a lady who worked I think in the kitchen with pink hair. Quite rude on a couple of occasions - it did put us off coming back in our 2nd week which was a shame.

I ate here most days last week, week ending 13 August and all the food was amazing served by friendly staff.

3 stars is the most your get . You realy need to push for excellence! You are way behind with so much , customer service, time , speed , food and much more it was not the worst experience ive ever had but you need to rely work at this to bring your overall standards back up to scratch.

If a customer prefers Wetherspoons food to the meals served here then that customer has absolutely no taste in food. This is a delightful place, friendly staff and yokals. Only wish I'd had more time down south

I have eaten here several times of the past 12 months and I have always had a delicious meal and attentive cheerful service. Some times there is a bit of a wait but I am more then happy to wait for great freshly cooked food.

What we would call Yorkshire helpings. We have eaten here a couple of times and this time we were reminded that the portions are quite large. Neither of us could finish our plates and although the steak (for my Wife) and steak and kidney pie (for myself0 were well cooked and tasty the chips etc were far too much. Afterwards, we thought that one portion divided between two plates would have been quite sufficient!

We visited for an evening Sunday lunch, had the turkey and the beef. Both meals were served on piping hot plates with separate servings of vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and swede. All perfectly cooked and a gravy boat too. The food was excellent value and generous portions. Highly recommend

We visited (family of four) after a 6 hour drive, weary and tired, we hadn’t booked ahead but fortunately they could accommodate us. We were told straight away that food would be a wait, as the pub was quite busy with lots of people sitting outside in the sunshine. This was fine with us anyway, we were glad of the rest. We had bbq ribs, kids steak and a burger and the portion sizes were very generous. All the food was delicious and we had no complaints. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely visit again but perhaps book ahead next time.

Went for pre - booked evening meal (gammon, and chicken burger. Food was fine, but unfortunately took over 50 minutes to arrive! Also had to ask for wine to be replace because of dirty glass. Service staff were pleasant and generally efficient, and certainly apologetic about the delay!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was very nicely presented and good value. Happy to recommend it and more than happy to go back again when next in the area.

Have been a couple of times for a Sunday roast since moving back to Camborne from Marazion. Was treated to a meal on Mothering Sunday and again it was superb. Everyone enjoyed the food including the grandkids. Ample portions and lots of freshly cooked vegetables....

We were a group of six friends meeting for drinks and dinner. Food and service was excellent, lovely to chat to Lorraine and Gordon and Alex was a star.

Lovely, friendly local pub with great food. Never had a bad meal, and have enjoyed everything off the menu. Proper portions for great prices and all done to a high standard, this goes for the bar too. Definitely recommend to everyone :-)

Very poor - avoid. We had a very unpleasant, 'Faulty Towers' dining experience here. The welcome from the landlady on 2 occasions was far from welcoming and rather cold and disinterested. One of the glasses for the drinks we ordered arrived with lip stick marks...

Staff were very welcoming. Draught beer was good. We sat in the lounge on a Tuesday night. We were the only ones in there but the bar was full and had a good atmosphere as it was quiz night. Tuesday night is burger night. Two...

Have been staying at Clowance Estate this past week our last night decided to try the local . Fantastic meal from starter to dessert . Great service from Dakota as well . Well done . Highly recommend this place for all round enjoyment 👏👏

We recently arranged a wake at the St Aubyn Arms and Lorraine was brilliant throughout the whole experience. To start with, she sent me a couple of sample menus and was happy to adjust the menus to suit our needs including some vegetarian options. We ended up with a buffet which exceeded our expectations in the quality and quantity of food. Which we finished off with some excellent home made cake and coffee. The hostess was attentive, clearly cared about our experience and was a pleasure to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate in getting her to arrange another function for us and will be going back to try some of the food nights with my family. Thank you for making a difficult day a little easier for us.

Just had an excellent roast beef dinner and pudding at the pub. Highly recommended and good value. Plenty of fresh veg, giant Yorkshire pudding,and lashings of gravy. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Turned up on spec on a busy night and the lady who served us was very helpful and fitted us in for a bar meal in the garden when there were no tables inside.

Really enjoyed our meal here, nice kids options, lovely home made cakes. Few local beers on tap, only tried one but it was very well kept. No complaints.

We visited while on holiday in Cornwall. I had a burger, which was very good. My husband had a steak, which was excellent. Having paid twice as much for a terrible steak in an 'upmarket' restaurant earlier in the week, this was a pleasant surprise! Good food and good service at good prices.

I would not recommend this pub for food. Made trip for the pizza night and it was not good. Pizzas seemed like they were frozen, at best pre-bought bases, and not fresh. Sent 2 pizzas back to the kitchen. Ordered beef Lasagne for my young son and they brought out vegetable Lasagne. When I mentioned it they said the Beef Lasagne has vegetables in it. So I cut it open to show them there was no beef and they then took it back and brought out a beef lasagna 10 mins later (this was after waiting an hour for the food already). Gave waitresses the feedback on the meal, but nothing was done. Cannot understand the 4.7 rating? ******UPDATE****** Changing rating to a 3. The owner called me, apologised and offered a full refund. Can't ask for any more than that, and shows that the establishment cares about their customers. Looks like I had a one-off bad experience.

We had the last meal of our holiday and we really wish we had found it sooner. The menu variety is amazing, and priced well too. Massive portions and service and speed was impeccable. We felt very comfortable and all staff were super friendly. So...

Reasonable priced pub with car park and very large portions

Ate here 3 times in a week with my family whilst on holiday last week. Food was outstanding evey meal was beautifully cooked and presented. Staff very helpful and friendly. Surroundings where lovely too. The Landlady was excellent 👌 and so friendly. Will definitely go back there next time we are down that way. 11 out of 10.

We returned to this pub due to the Covid safe environment and the home cooking. Lovely staff and service . Attentive land lady. Good variety on the menu. Ron and Sylvia
