Great spot, staff were very friendly

This place misleads you with a sign of Fish n Chips saying 12,75 pounds for a portion... Except in small letters it says "from" in font size 4. End up paying 22.50 pounds per portion and a ridiculous service fee. Taste overall was decent, but chips were soft. I would expect better for that price.

Nice pub, we done Bottomless Brunch, the cocktails didn’t contain much alcohol just a lot of juice, good value if you stick to beer. Great atmosphere

We chose this restaurant without any prior knowledge just because it was near to the Guildhall, the City Walls, the Peace Bridge & all a 3 minute walk from the multi-story car park at the City Hotel. It said on the website it opened at 12 but when we arrived we were told by staff member Maria that they didn’t open until 12:30 but instead of making us wait we were welcomed in and given our choice of table and menus to peruse while we waited. We had wonderful food and as a Dairy & Gluten intolerant diner I had a wonderful vegan GF curry. My family had the fish chowder with Guinness & treacle wheaten (which was a big hit), the brisket toasted sandwich and the hot chicken Caesar salad. All were gorgeous and just the right amount to ensure clean plates all round. Then staff member Colleen went and asked the chef if we could buy one of his homemade wheatens to which he agreed so my 90 year old father went home a very happy man. I would highly recommend this venue and the wonderful staff who looked after us all so well. Well done Maria & Colleen, we shall be back … and give our compliments to the chef.

Ordered this via the Just Eats app....and I was absolutely blown away by how quickly it was delivered (prepared quickly and despatched fast) I ordered the Cod Supper and kids Cod goujons. I received free Onion rings for my multi-order. The portions are generous and the fish was fresh, hot and perfectly battered (not too thick, crispy and soft). The chips were enough for two and were delicious. The onion rings were so good,my 6 year old who "does not eat onions", finished one and asked for more!! This our new favourite takeaway! We'll definitely be ordering again💕

Gran selección de desayuno disponible. Mis chicos disfrutaron de las tortitas recién hechas con Nutella. Calentaron el Weetabix para mi hijo sin molestarlo. Estoy embarazada de 6 meses y me preguntó si era posible tener huevos revueltos recién preparados calientes y esto no fue ningún problema para el maître d y Stephen Chef. No solo prepararon los huevos, sino que incluyeron pan recién hecho, caliente, tocino, salchicha y papa. Un desayuno muy agradable y estaba muy agradecido.

Myself and my husband have been coming here since I was pregnant with our first child together as my craving for his pregnancy was the veggie curry and again for the fish and chips when I was pregnant with our youngest so that's alot of years I've had family members that have also worked here over the years and never once have I ever had the slightest complaint ever as the staff have always been very polite and well mannered..... Yesterday was out sons 8th Birthday and when he was asked where he wanted to go for his birthday dinner he chose the fuzzy beak .... We had booked for just after 7pm as soon as we went in our youngest who'd nearly 6 needed the toilet .... I had taken her and let me tell you I was shocked the toilets were disgusting .... My little girl always puts the toilet seat up as she has a habit of cutting the back of her legs on any toilet seat so she went to lift that it came half off in her hand then once that was lifted the dirt someone had obvs been sick as it was all around the edges of the toilet bowl the dust on the cistern and dirt around the bowl itself wasn't great either I had to get a ton of toilet roll and hand soap and clean the toilet so that she could sit down to use the toilet inside the toilet was blue toilet cleaner which had been carelessly fired into the toilet and left it hadn't been scrubbed the second toilet was exactly the same as well ... Once she was done on the toilet she went to wash her hands the sinks were also dirty with watermarks the plug also needed a good scrub it would have taken 10 mins at most to give the toilet a good clean ...... The meal itself was lovely that I will say the food has always been spot on as had the service the girls are lovely ... But maybe suggest giving your cleaner a few tips ...... I'm saying this we will go back again and if the toilets are the same my OCD may well kick in ....

We recently used The Barrows Bistro to hold a Birthday Party and I was extremely impressed. I wanted somewhere a bit different to the normal Hotel or pub scenario and I was not disappointed! The service was excellent and the food was very good indeed. The surroundings made the event feel very special and I found it reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this as a venue for those special occasions

Absolutely outstanding meal - scallops to start followed by chateaubriand. Bramble was gorgeous too. We have visited countless times. stunning food every time. Lovely team as well!

Only chippy take out in this busy country town. For a Tuesday night had steady stream of customers. Everything freshly cooked and place spotless. I just ordered a chicken breast and some thousand island dip. The chicken was crispy skin but succulent flesh. Enjoyed it and at £4.90 is fair price. I will call again when in the area. Try it.
