0/10.. Food poor. 0/10 check in . 0/10 wait staff at reception. What wait staff?. However a lady and a gentleman worked clean off their feet at reception and the evening do. 2 of the hardest working people i have ever met. Hotel has very poor staffing levels. Aswell as inability to fullfill basic staffing levels.... Now for the coup de grais.... After spending a clean fortune on a complete wedding package. And to go to the residents bar to be told, oh we close at 2am... Asking then to speak to duty manager. To be confronted by a lad barely out of nappies ans arrogantly and smugly told. Wether guests or not, closing 2 am and tough!!!.. Arrogant, smug and unprofessional!!!... I will ensure this is shared far and wide.. I will never again cross these doors. After what was spent.. No!!. Management very poor.. Staff very poor Clenliness 0/10. Best part of hotel is check out.. DO NOT ATTEND OR BOOK FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!

This is my second visit to the Crowne Plaza Belfast, I would not use any other hotel now, the staff are wonderful, most of the now recognise myself and know what I order at the bar, which is really nice. Gemma works between reception and the restaurant and always makes time to welcome you, Gemma is a great communicator and is so polite, she does everything to make your stay welcoming and enjoyable, I look forward to returning on the 7th of November, I'm normally over every two weeks and this is the hotel I will continually be using, well done to the staff for making my stay a wonderful week. The hotel is clean and well presented, rooms are big and fresh, if you wish a wonderful experience, please stay at the Crowne plaza

The Green Room Restaurant at the Crowne Plaza is a very attractive venue with a nice atmosphere, and lovely food. The breakfast is buffet style, but eggs to order can also be included. They have potato bread, black pudding, and some other Irish offerings as well. There is also a continental breakfast option at a slightly cheaper price. Dinner offering on non-Spice Club nights is typical of hotel in house restaurants. I had fish and chips on night and found the portions very generous for the price. the fish was well cooked, and the batter golden. We found the dessert menu a nice change with some nice options like ferrero rocher cheesecake. All in all, this is one of the nicest hotel restaurants I have dinned in.

Great hotel, lovely food great setting and decor. Had do not disturb on my door and the house keeping staff outside my room were shouting and very loud well on a meeting. Great room, lovely bathroom. Good snacks in the fridge and room. But the hot chocolate obviously hadn’t been changed in a while and there was dust. Some serving staff were very slow to come to the table. A shame as the meals were lovely.

The Green Room is the restaurant on the first floor of Crowne Plaza (aka Ramada Inn in its previous incarnation). A rather surprising observation is that they insist you make a reservation but by the non-existent pressure on tables, at least when I visited, it may be a ruse to increase its sense of self-worth! It has an open kitchen, well within view. The unsmiling waiting staff rush briskly about and the food, when it is finally served, is well presented and tasty. Yes, that implies that there’s a very long wait before the rather pricey food arrives at the table.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

We went for Christmas dinner yesterday to the carvery for the 3pm sitting. Firstly the room was unnecessarily brightly lit on a par with a large branch of Boots the chemist/solarium. We were shown our seats which were very close to the dessert table and no one took a drinks order or explained anything so we just sat looking around the enormous room and central dessert station inches from us and adjacent starter station until we saw what other people were doing. It was then we had the unfortunate experience of watching people pick and poke at the desserts, not use tongs or serving utensils and one woman put a large splash of cream on her plate, stuck her finger in it, licked it and decided to return half of it to the cream bowl. Others sniffed at the fruit coulis and sauce jugs, bringing them close to their noses and sharing this culinary skill with their relatives whilst screwing up their faces. I was going to tell a member of staff but at this point so many people had stuck fingers and noses into the desserts I felt there was no point. That ship of hygiene had sailed. My daughter is phobic about hygiene and refused to eat apart from 2 items at the the main carvery. I couldn’t say I blamed her. At this point I knew I had perhaps misjudged my Christmas dinner location. Every time I stood up from the table someone just pushed into me and it was the same at the carvery tables. The starter table was massacred, the poor salmon looked like they’d been abused and people were diving into the bread roll basket, leaving the tongs redundant. Some folk seemed fond of examining the items and then putting them back. Normally including a sniff of the bread for some reason. Soup was splashed up the tablecloth adjacent to us and being a brownish vegetable broth it didn’t exactly whet my appetite, diagonally splattered in front of my line of vision like vomit. It would have helped if a member of staff had been on these tables. I did not feel like eating a starter or a desert. I tried to pick something further away but alas it made me feel a bit sick as I couldn’t help but wonder how many peoples fingers or noses had been in it. The main course was served by staff at a different side of the room and apart from a messy gravy and sauce situation it was perfectly fine and serving staff friendly and pleasant. I decided to try and get coffee and eventually managed to get a waitress who brought back the weakest coffee known to mankind and I wondered if I’d ordered tea by mistake. I took two sips and decided to cut my losses and go home, it definitely wasn’t going to get any better. This entire Christmas experience had lasted an hour. It could have lasted 30mins but I suppose I couldn’t admit I’d got it so wrong and thus dragged it out and my daughter was ripping angry with me. On my way out I saw many people had plates of food with tinfoil over, some folk had thought ahead and brought large polystyrene dishes (like from the chipper) which they were filling with food to take away. Others decided to take their centre pieces and some even took any other people’s centre pieces, walking out, laden with plates, dishes and festive floristry. A true sight to behold, This hour of hell cost the guts of £300 A bit of an expensive mistake. There was plenty of food, plenty of staff and the hotel cannot be held responsible for the lack of manners of their customers but there should have been more monitoring of the health and safety aspect and to the customers who would have liked a drink, some guidance and the table was far too close to the desert table for comfort.

We had Christmas Lunch here yesterday and we were so very disappointed, the food was not at all as the brochure described, it was like a busy canteen, the service was terrible, a lot of young waiters with no proper supervision, and there was absolutely no Christmas feeling. The cost of this disaster was £95 per person, There was absolutely no finesse in the food service, I had the brie which was ok but cold in the centre, the roast beef was badly cut thick slices of an over cooked sirloin roast, Yorkshire pudding was hard etc, etc. My husband had the turkey which was very dry he did not enjoy it at all. Our Christmas day was ruined and when we told the manager he offered us a drink and suggested he would be speaking to the supervisors today. When my brother-in-law spoke to the same man he said it was nothing to do with him he was in charge of the buffet? Many other tables in the restaurant complained I heard a lady say they had been there since 1.30 and at 4o,clock they had not had there main course. disaster.

The Sunday Carvery has become a pre-Christmas tradition for my wife and I. This year, we had our ten-month-old daughter for company. Dining with a baby presents quite a few challenges. As usual, the food at the Ramada is of a very high standard. Because it's a carvery, there is no waiting about, plus parents can take turns to get food while the other is looking after junior. But it's the staff who really made the experience stand out. They were accommodating and attentive, while always being professional - a real credit to the establishment.A fantastic experience all-round, and highly recommended for other parents of young children, or families looking for a restaurant which will cater for everyone. My husband and I got married on the 3rd September 2014, we had a small intimate wedding with only 14 guests. 6 weeks before we were due to get married our reception venue closed down without telling us and we quickly had to find somewhere else. The Green Room Restaurant has a small section with a curtain to close it off to the rest of the restaurant, we used this area. We were allowed to come the night before to dress the room and make final arrangements for wine / Prosecco. When we arrived after our ceremony, we were truly amazed! The staff had made additional changes and added extra little decorations, all the candles were lit and the room looked stunning. Our table of 16 was given the option of two set menus (one indian and one normal menu) – the food was fantastic. All dishes came out at the same time, and everything looked, smelled and tasted delicious!! The service was absolutely impeccable, from the table being set up to the taking of orders. The staff were discreet and not intrusive, only coming into the room when they were needed. It was everything we wanted and more!We cannot thank the restaurant enough for the service and quality of the meal. Each of the 14 guests have commented on how delicious and special the meal was! We look forward to returning for dinner!

Was over at the Ramada last night with my family. There was 11 off us and was so impressed with the bar manager Wallace who pulled out all the stops with the table setting and the friendless of his staff. We where waiter on my a young man named Michael who was very attentive to all of our needs and made sure that we had a very memorable evening.

On a family holiday in Belfast for the first time. We're booked in for 7 nights. Ate at The Green for the first time. I think its a great idea combining Indian and European food in the same restaurant as it ensures that it can cater to all palettes. My daughter ordered the Grilled Chicken which she absolutely loved (she is a fussy 14 year old, this is indeed a miracle!). My Mum ordered the Caribbean Chicken (slightly small chicken portion but taste good). I ordered the chef special Monkfish Malabar and I wasnt disappointed! My compliment to the chef. Fish was melt in the mouth and the curry sauce was just divine. It didn't overpower the the delicate fish yet still gives a good balanced curry flavour.I definitely recommend it!

Great restaurant, superb and plentiful food and very friendly staff. Staff went out of their way to cater for a couple of us that are gluten and dairy intolerant. The breakfast buffet is great - plenty of choice and piping hot. Equally the food downstairs in the Suburbia bar is great. Again very friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is airy and spacious.

Have been here several times for the carvery on Sunday's and can honestly say the food selection is of a high standard and quality. Service is friendly and efficient. However, on Saturday 22nd March we called in for lunch and went into the Bar & Grill called Suburbia within the hotel. This was a pleasure - the food and the atmosphere was excellent, especially Samantha who was our server. She was very chatty and witty as well as being professional and fully informed about the menu choices. It is clear she works very hard and is enthusiastic about her job and this shows. Thank you Samantha for a pleasant time over lunch.

We went yesterday afternoon to the carvery. It cost £19 each and our child was free. It has a nice atmosphere and the staff were lovely and helpful. I found the food to be good for a carvery but we ordered a coke and diet coke and they were both flat but no big deal. The duck starter was my favourite and the gammon was lovely and succulent. The roasties could have been cooked more but I am just being fussy lol.Looking forward to going back again.

The Green Room carvery isn't bad but it's overpriced at £19 per head when there are much better options in Belfast for a couple of pounds more. The atmosphere wasn't anything to write home about and they were piping very loud panpipes music at us.The meat was fatty and cut much too thickly. Plenty of starters and dessert options but all pretty average.

Ate here during a stay at the Ramada at breakfast and in the evening. The breakfast is similar to other hotels of a similar rating. Nothing to shout about but well cooked and with fair amount of choice. The restaurant provides both British and Indian food but after tasting the Korma on the first night I decided to stay with the Indian menu and have the Butter Chicken on the second night. Some of the best tasting curries I have had, very recommended. The staff are also very friendly and polite and overall I would say you could do worse if you are staying in the hotel...especially as it is miles away from another restaurant.

Well only meet on the carvery was beef kept going up and asking if any turkey was coming out and was told they had a chicken coming out, which never appeared. I had to call staff several times to clear the plates. The pots and veg were just warm or just about. Won't be recommending them to anyone

Although the price has increased since our last visit and is now £19.99 per adult it is still great value.Starters excellent ..Poached salmon , prawns, ribs. various salads. Mains this time was Beef, Gammon and Turkey all with the various trimmings, delicious veg. Deserts are always a little disappointing although this time there were profiteros and strawberry flan but both went quickly and not replaced. Note to Ramada I like jelly and ice cream but would have preferred strawberry flan. Wine by the glass was poor. Nevertheless excellent value for money. You do need to book

A meal at 'The Green Room ' provided good portions and tasty food. The Ceasar Salad starter was like a main course in itself. I had the sirloin steak and found it to be a little tough. If I had been provided with a steak knife it may have been easier to cut. My companion had a salad to start followed by sea bass which she enjoyed. We plan to return and have a meal from the indian menu next time.

We went as a small family group for the Sunday Carvery. I find it very hard to believe how places like this remain busy and open. It was like a very odd throwback to the early 1980s. It made me think if The Skandia( once the only restaurant in Belfast city centre)These days you can walk into any tesco and buy a bag of mixed salad, a half decent rib of beef and an aunt Bessie Yorkshire pud; and you should because it will taste an awful lot better than what I was served at the Green Room. There are simply no excuses for unseasoned food served canteen style: being bullied and embarrassed by an annoying Santa Clause, being tortured relentlessly by children running wild with their faces painted and waiting 20 minutes for a jug of water. The staff brought no less than 3 catering size jugs of (instant) coffee after our meal for 6 people. Why? I have NO idea. We'd ordered tea.Dire.

Going to try recreating their special curry over the weekend, unless they'd like to send a recipe over? The fusion of the two restaurants works so well, as I had smoked salmon and crab roulade followed by curry, pilau rice, nan bread and poppadoms, finished with an autumn berry sundae and a cheeseboard. The staff were courteous and attentive. They brought our food promptly, allowed us plrenty of time to enjoy our food, and cleared away again afterwards with the minimum of fuss. Me and my husband decided to treat ourselves to the champagne spectacular for our anniversary and it is something that we would do again. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out we could not fault the service. We had apologies for the champagne not being in our room when we arrived but as this was something we were not expecting it didnt bother us. It arrived not long after we checked in.We found the room to be more than we expected, very spacious and exceptionly clean. We made our way to the Green Room for dinner were the service was very personel as we felt everyone went out their way to make us feel welcome and looked after, on numerous occassions we were asked if everything was okay. The food was exceptional except for the chips which were a let down as they were frozen and not a great taste compared to the rest of the meal. We would recommend the Green Room to friends and family and which we have already done.Breakfast the next morning was lovely with a wide variety to choose from. The staff yet again were exceptionaly and made sure we were looked after. We will be looking to book again in the future.

We visited the Ramada Plaza in Belfast on 19 February for a nights stay as part of the Champagne Spectacular package. What a joke. We booked it on the Friday night which was a bit last minute, but we booked through their own website and when we got there there was no record of our booking. The man at reception wasn't very apologetic, but he booked us in anyway. We got to our room, which was adequate (bathroom not exactly clean, but ok) and went for our meal at 7:30pm. The Green Room restaurant is decorated beautifully but wasn't exactly packed to the rafters when we arrived, yet everyone seemed angered by poor service. We ordered our three courses when we arrived and an hour later, received our soup. In that hour, we witnessed people receiving under-cooked meat, being treated like dirt by waiters and seeing the restaurant manager standing ignoring the problems all around her, not once coming to those annoyed by their wait to apologise. I ordered the chicken, which stated that it came with veg- it didn't. It was not a very large meal, quite the contrary, and my husband ordered steak and chips- he received 8 chips and a piece of steak smaller than my hand. When I questioned if I was getting any veg, I was told "you have chips you can share". EIGHT CHIPS. I was really disappointed, considering the Ramada is meant to be a 4 star hotel- the waiters were so rude and unphased by the angry customers; one customer was complaining to a waiter and a more senior waiter came up behind him and said "just take the order" and walked off. They laughed at the time delays with customers and took forever to take orders.Apparently one of the chefs walked out and that was why the service was bad, but I doubt that was the only reason. We were told by one of the waitresses that she would arrange for our champagne to be delivered to our room as we had not received it on arrival, but this was not done either and we had to go to reception and ask for it. They delivered it to our room a half an hour later. Overall, it was a disaster. Bad attitudes, poor service, inadequate food... customer service is dead in this hotel and I doubt we would go back.

I booked the "Champagne Spectacular" offer as a mid week romantic treat for my partner which consisted of an overnight stay in the hotel with a 3 course meal including Champagne. Check in was pleasant & speedy & the room was exceptionally well presented & clean. We quick changed and went to "The Green Room" restaurant for our "Champagne Spectacular" 3 course dinner. We were shown to our table where the said Champagne was waiting. No one offered to open the bottle & pour a glass for us. After waiting for 10 minutes we decided we should maybe do it ourselves while waiting for our order to be taken. After 15 mins our order was eventually taken and our subsequent courses came 40-45 mins apart. I had to repeatedly ask staff to check on our order but to no avail. After 4 times asking & 45 mins our desserts finally arrived, by which time the romantic mood had more than worn off. There were several staff on the dining room floor with none actually doing very much. The inattentive service in the restaurant really took away from the good food & also from the Hotel stay as an overall experience. It's such a pity that the service staff ruined the experience as the food was very good For something titled a "Champagne Spectacular" it certainly was not
