Cyprus Avenue in Belfast

We went for the Mother’s Day set menu lunch. First thing sat down and we got given bellinis and fruit salad instead of the bread for the lunch menu and had to ask for it to be changed, this was at 12:30 so I believe brunch was over. I got a starter and the salad had a bug in it which I had to be asked to be replaced. When the starter plates were being taken, cutlery was dropped over 2 members of our table, leaving food and stains on their clothes. This is when we had to ask for a different server. 3/4 of the desserts came out and we asked again for the last dessert and it never arrived. We were given what we believed to be complimentary Prosecco for the trouble but when we went to pay this had been added to our bill. We had to ask for this £36 charge to be removed as we never asked for this. The dessert was also removed as we never received it and we were ready to leave. £150 for 4 for terrible service. As a returning customer I am beyond disappointed in what ruined a Mother’s Day meal and will never be returning. Can get better service for a lot cheaper most other places in Belfast.

Lovely eating experience with the most AMAZING cheese board ! Oh my it’s just worth a visit for the cheese !! I have to say thought the burger and ribs were also very tasty and a great wine list to make for a wonderful eating experience

An old school pal of mine lives and works in Edinburgh; his native city, however, is Belfast. He comes over to Belfast regularly, and we meet usually for dinner at Ballyhackamore. Despite the seasonal weather I cycled over to Cyprus Avenue restaurant and met my chum for Christmas dinner. It was very busy, so it had been prudent to reserve a table. This was my first visit, and the experience was very enjoyable: staff amicable; service attentive; food and drink very good, too. We had French onion soup, turkey dinner, followed by plum pudding. The soup was delicious and well seasoned; the turkey succulent. I look forward to returning.

Came with my wife to celebrate my birthday -she mentioned at the time of booking it was for a celebration. Staff were so friendly and their attention to detail was exemplary, they couldn’t have been nicer. I even got a complimentary drink/candle with birthday greeting on my pudding. Really made me feel like an individual and not just a number at Christmas. The kind of hospitality I thought was long gone. Thank you

Ordered shellfish and hake gumbo tasty but v poor portion .shellfish?? Ok 3 mussels does not make it shellfish no prawns clams scallops ?. two pieces of potato and a couple if piec3s of carrott . Had an amazing meal at Cyprus Avenue with my family. Great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend! 👌🍽️

First time visiting as a party of 6 on Saturday evening. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, but I must say the service we received was top notch. Within minutes of being seated our server was explaining the specials to us, and taking our drink order, which arrived promptly. A member of our party is Coeliac, but this did not phase our server. They were able to explain which dishes were suitable without a seconds thought. I found this refreshing and very forward thinking that the staff are on the ball as far as dietary requirements are concerned, without having to consult the kitchen like many other restaurants I have visited. All our meals were excellent, especially the Mallard Wellington, which was just the ticket considering the adverse weather outside. Cocktails were also fantastic. I've been lucky enough to drink in some top cocktail bars in London and these were on par. We will definitely return 👍

Our main meals were cold with no heat in one of them. I took my wife to celebrate her birthday and I couldn’t believe they could not get the basic things right.

Reading some of the reviews here and felt the need to leave my own (which I literally never do) as I feel like some of the comments don't do the place justice, lots of mentions of overpriced food and small portions. Do you get a plate overloaded with a greasy fry...no...but the food on my plate at CA has always been beautifully presented and absolutely gorgeous which to me is well worth the money. It's whole ethos is locally sourced produce and this is what you pay for, along with the creative menu that might not look like the stereotypical breakfast menu at first glance. I've always been blown away by the flavour, personal fave is the ham hock waffles (my partner only ever orders the steak and eggs cuz he loves them so much). We've been for dinner too and the ribs, burger and fish and chips all were unreal. The restaurant is always clean, with a modern layout. Really lovely vibes and when I've been there staff were always very accommodating and checking regularly on how things were, attentive but not in your face. CA may not be to everyone's taste but in my experience it offers high quality produce, interesting and unique menus and most importantly beautiful tasty food all from a great service team. Will be back asap.

Disappointing! Offered roast chicken for Sunday lunch as no turkey left. Got 2 legs no chicken breast - off cuts from another dish perhaps? Poor! Service wasn't great either. Won't be back

£24 for a Roast beef dinner that came on a plate slightly bigger than a side plate, the 3 very small Roast potatoes were reheated that much there was very little potato in them, vegetables practically non existent, just awful!!!

Three tables of two in the entire restaurant and the manager or floor supervisor and colleague struggled to cope. The service was appalling. We both got burgers. The meat was over cooked, unseasoned, bland and bone dry. No sauce on the bun just dry bread and dry almost burnt meat. At £18 I expect at least a bit of flavour. The coffee is disgusting, I think the menu should state it comes from a machine that you find off a motor way in a services! I did say this to the guy who I assume to be the floor supervisor but he didn’t care and because of his attitude we won’t be back.

Came here as I’ve heard only great things. We’re created by a guy in a cheque shirt and he showed us to our table. Lovely seat by the window. Ordered two burgers, both came and they were bone dry. The waiter never came to check if our food was okay. I ate it all as I was starving and it was edible. We then waited for a while with our clearly finished plates, our waiter had disappeared. We had to go up to the till to pay - our waiter came and didn’t even acknowledge the fact we had to do this, nor did he ask us how our food was. His attitude was screaming “I don’t want to be here”. Good service and not good food is acceptable, as hey! It could have just been a bad day - but bad service and bad food is not acceptable. Won’t be back!!!!

A wonderful meal - really top notch food and service in a casually sophisticated environment. Plan to have a cocktail before dinner - the bottle of smoke was amazing, but I feel like I’d like to try most of the drinks on the list.
