As per previous reviews, the bouncers are the worst in the city. In the space of a few minutes saw a guy not let in, even though he had a booking! They were rude and threatening to everyone, some poor guy get rejected for wearing rugby kit! Even though the six nations was in their bar showing Scotland! They said it was full but then let in a group of girls who had no booking and had not gone out for a smoke etc. They said it was too full and tried to organise a queue but made a complete arse of it. After a few mins, took our business elsewhere and had a good afternoon in a few of the other pubs in the city. These guys are clueless and need to sort out their bouncers.

Popped in on Sunday afternoon. Great live music and TVs turned up loud in the interval so we could follow the Celtic / Livingston Scottish Cup game 👍 Friendly staff, loads of comfy seating and excellent choice of drinks. Very it's rockin' at night so we'll definitely be back!

Awful place! 4 of us (2 couples) tried to enter the bar last night after having 2 glasses of wine each elsewhere. The rude bouncers refused us and said we were too drunk. We were not even tipsy, never mind drunk. They then lied and said they had seen us swaying walking down the road with was completely untrue. Afterwards, we stood further down the street watching others try to enter who were told the same thing as us. If the bar is full then just tell people it’s full rather than lying to people saying they’re too drunk. The bouncers are on a complete power trip and need sacked

Poor atmosphere. Expensive drinks. Average service. Not sure I would rush back. Tables all dirty. Staff looked like they didn’t want to be there

Wouldn’t bother my hole. A disgrace of an Irish bar. We had 2 pints in the pub before and 3 of the 7 of us were ‘too drunk’. Shocking experience, ignorance and power tripping by the bouncers. Avoid at all cost and head to Molly Malomes. At least you’ll be served a pint or even get in.

Good live music gives a great atmosphere.

Original Kittys was my favourite place to go for a Guinness that was nearly as good as the homeland, but since the revamp, the quality of the Guinness has gone massively downhill. The pour was very poor and was so disappointed. Apart from that, it's a nice enough venue.

Seen this place on a Guinness page. Missed the one in Edinburgh. It looks like its just had a refurbishment. Slow service and it wasn't busy, Guinness was rotten had to leave it. Guys trying to drop things in girls tops from the mezzanine. It was like being run by teens for their friends. And leaving cant say the door staff is helping

Das Lokal war ein uriges dunkles Stübchen. Es gab Live Musik und es gibt in jeder Ecke Fernseher, wo man verschieden Wettkämpfe (an dem Tag wo ich da war, war es Darts) beobachten konnte. Man konnte sich entspannt mit seinen Leuten unterhalten. Das Essen kann ich nicht bewerten, da ich nichts gegessen habe, sofern es da überhaupt was gab. Die Getränke waren gut. Da ich keinen Alkohol trinken kann, musste ich auf Alkoholfreie Alternativen zurückgreifen, die zum Glück gut vertreten waren. Auch die Bedienung an der Theke (ûbrigens ist bestellen und von der Theke abholen angesagt, keine Bedienung am Tisch, aber alles supi :) ) war ganz gut anzusehen, also auch fürs Auge war was da. Es gibt auch Sicherheitspersonal, also sollte mal jemand zu tief ins Glas schauen, es wird kein Ärger geben bzw dieser schnell beendet :) . Auch die Preise waren voll in Ordnung.

In Glasgow on business with some associates. We had a great meal elsewhere and decided to enjoy a pint of Guinness with some live music while waiting for a taxi back to our hotel. This was mid-week, early evening, we had done the same the previous evening with no issues. The small group were professional mid-40s with an early start the next morning, consuming excessively was most definitely not on our agenda. Upon arriving at the venue on this evening, doormen stood in our way, without having even communicated with us, he singled out accused a colleague of being drunk! None of our group were remotely drunk. We were turned away, and decided to enjoy a pint of Guinness at Malones Irish Bar instead, which was far more welcoming, and had great live music on. Looking at the reviews on this site, it seems common practice here - I'll never return. I wonder if management either know about, or care about this behaviour on their front door.

No warm welcome here. Turned away at the door by a bouncer on a power trip for no reason whatsoever. Couldn’t see an SIA licence on display. We headed over to Malones Irish Bar instead, and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at Malones, with live music and food. Give Kitty’s a miss, it must be a hell hole if they feel the need for bouncers mid week.

Absolutely awful attitude from the door staff, would absolutely avoid this venue in future. Real shame as our group went the evening before without any issues.

When we were trying to get in to the pub, the bouncer asked one of our friends in the group if he was with anyone but he couldn’t hear what the bouncer said and because of that, didn’t let us in (“because he was too drunk, literally didn’t have a drink yet that night) and then got in our friends face shouting at him and telling him to answer questions when he asked. Absolutely shocking behaviour and bouncers on a complete power trip

The establishment hires completely disrespectful staff to work as the bouncer. Myself and my friends attempted to take entry into the pub however we were turned away due to my friend mishearing a question. We then explained the situation and were advised our friend was too drunk to enter the premises despite my friend clearly not being inebriated. After mishearing the question the bouncer then proceeded to get in my friends face and be condescending by stating “do you not understand, next time I ask you a question answer correctly” which given the situation is completely unacceptable. I appreciate his job is to dismiss inebriated people or people he deems a threat to the other patrons of the pub however this situation did not constitute this reaction nor the disrespect. I requested the bouncers name who then proceeded to state “ if u want my name call the police” once again in a condescending tone.

Cheap drinks, friendly staff, amazing entertainment. The only downside is that they now don’t serve food anymore and that the larger 4 floor venue next door doesn’t open till 5pm even on busy Saturdays and Sundays….

First visit. Fab atmosphere. Plenty of drinks to choose from.

Absolute buzzing place to go pre or post the football match. Smashing crowd , great people , Guinness is wonderful. Didnt have food but will next time. Get there early to secure your seat , it gets packed

We were on holiday in Glasgow on a Monday and looking for a place that's opened a bit longer. This bar was not only very big and nice, but it also had nice live music and very friendly staff & bouncers. I highly recommend this place.

I don’t normally write reviews but I had an absolutely great experience in this pub. I visited on a Saturday and there was live music on the whole day. The drinks were slightly on the expensive side but it is in glasgow city centre. The staff were brilliant. A girl with orange hair (I didn’t get her name) sat out booking and took our drink order straight away. She continued to check on us for the duration of our booking. She clearly really enjoyed her job and spoke very positively of the pub. Having a staff member like this really makes an experience for customers positive. Really looking forward to visiting it again when the upstairs opens!

Basement bar, stranding room only when certain matches are on. Always a good atmosphere and great pint. Just about the best pint Guinness this side of the Irish Sea. While small plenty of nooks and crannies if you’re wanting a quiet drink at other times.

Place is a basement bar low ceilings get's jammed quickly and hot as balls Parnell would approve of he was still alive banging kitty's kitty.

Power trip bouncers manhandled us because of their mistaken double booking, stole our drinks. Avoid at all cost.

We had booked a booth (which we have proof for) and basically the power trip bouncer who couldn’t get a real job wanted to show off to the women and essentially give them our booking by saying that we hadn’t arrived on time (which we had) and had been sitting in for a good 20 minutes before it was even mentioned, I was then manhandled and had my drink stolen out my hand by said power trip bouncer, will definitely be taking this further, avoid this place at all costs.

Went to Kitty’s on Saturday 18th Nov with friends as part of our annual Christmas Day. We had booked a table for the MAIN area where the music is on. Instead we were given a table in a “bothy” which was. Very disappointing as wee felt excluded from the main area and entertainment . When we complained we were told although we booked the main area we should have put a note on the booking saying where we wanted to be seated as apparently the bothy despite not being in the main area is classed as this . ??? So thanks very much Kitty’s fir spoiling what should have been a great night. Time to re think your bookings is it not 😡

Nope not for me or my friends, booked a table weeks ago for Saturday 18th Nov for our Christmas day out, asked for middle of pub as we wanted to see musicians who were on, was told we had booked early enough for a good seat, on arriving we were put into"the shed" which was very claustrophobic and no view of musicians, after asking to be moved we were told we should have been more specific on where we wanted to be seated, you can't be more specific than saying middle of pub with view of musicians, this wasted our day out so would say yous really need to review your booking systems 😡

Went in on Saturday and John Jo was on the guitar which was great and the Guinness was tasty.

Very strange place full of wee nooks and crannies, and touristy signs to the Cliffs of Moher and for some reason, Beal na mBlath (where Michael Collins was shot). The beer and hot drinks were nice enough, but to order food you had to scan some kind of QR code (why are these being pushed everywhere now?!) to get it from a neighbouring place. This was confusing and to be honest a bit stressful. The people who worked there were pleasant enough, but this didn't help. There was a guitarist playing as we left but there was little audience which was a shame as he was pretty decent. Outside the door they had put up metal barriers and bouncers were on the door so I'm guessing it gets a lot busier on evenings.

I had an amazing time here as I’ve not been to an Irish pub in a long time and I was getting home sick for my country of Ireland 🇮🇪 and got a lil bit of relief when I came in here! I got myself some Guinness and some fellow people who were kind gifted myself and my pal a “baby Guinness “ which I’d never tried before and absolutely love! I enjoyed the atmosphere and it was like back home I can’t wait to come back again hopefully with a different pal for a different experience! Highly recommend coming from an Irish woman

Popped in there for a bit rest from walking the city and stayed for hours. Staff is amazingly friendly, great hospitality. Had a blast with the other costumers while watching football and listening to great live music. Super dig friendly, got a waterbowl before our beers arrived 😂👍. Best pub experience on our scotland journey so far🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🤘

Friendly & efficient staff very polite. Lively atmosphere in here with great live music was there July 2nd & there was a young guy early 20s playing & if that's your usual singer each weekend you guys will get the crowd returning he was brilliant. Will return & recommned here.

Great location in town, very central and as near a Dublin pub as you will find in Glasgow! Cracking pint of Guinness and greatly very singer for a Saturday afternoon day out! Highly recommended!

The salmon was really good and well cooked. The tiramissu dessert was really nice! Also, the staff is friendly, thanks to the Polish waitress and Italian waiter!

3rd visit now, each time really empty but all tables reserved for hours later so never actually got a drink yet. Do yourself a favour just go to Coopers.

I went in to watch the uefa cup final and ordered 1 drink and was happily watching the penalty shootout when I was asked to leave for no reason by the manager. After 1 drink I was not drunk or even disruptive but I followed the bouncer orders and left. Complete joke of a place avoid at all costs.

Place has a great atmosphere. It was sadly ruined by a very rude girl behind the bar (blonde with a fringe). A gentlemen offered to allow me to be served first and she stated “no thanks” went and sorted her hair and came back to the gentlemen again who pointed to me. She then proceeded to serve me at this point - not sure what it was all about but very rude.

I was the city centre kitty’s and I honestly can’t believe the service I received. I’ve been to the one in the west time and it’s always been a fun time. I was served by a male server with in a shirt with a ginger...

Basement bar with live music. It’s always really busy so sometimes hard to get a comfortable table but on the flip side also has quite a good atmosphere when other places are empty

Live music in a proper Irish bar in the heart of Glasgow. Very busy but very cosy. Staff are lovely and good craic all round. Plenty of seats and nice cubby holes when on a date. Last time I had food it was sublime but in there most times for a drink and a dance. Very welcoming, homey barplace.

Staff are very polite and welcoming. The atmosphere is cool too. The only negative (and it’s a big one), is that the prices are over double elsewhere.

Was good, getting told we brought the atmosphere to the pub that locals haven’t seen it in a while. Was l then told by the bar staff we were too much? Not sure why, so won’t be back as we were only enjoying our time...

kitty o shittys more like. Bouncers absolutely horrible for no reason, not worth wasting your time here. Sexism at its finest, me and my friends were not even drunk and people who were 10x drunker were getting let in. Absolute joke, disgusted at this place 0/10.

Went here for new years, bouncers wouldn’t let us in as we had apparently had too many drinks. Despite having been completely sober. Unprofessional and really not worth going here.

We were here with friends to watch the latest quarter of finals match for the World Cup. Great vibe, cosy lounges, lots of large screens around with commentary on (differently from most other places where you can hear very little), live music between the two...

I can't complain but it was really packed out but there's waitress service so that was good the guys on the door were really nice I could not fault them thanks to them we got in which I can't say for a lot off places I enjoyed it it does play Irish folk music so I enjoyed the night was really good XX 💞💞💞🤗🤗🤗❤️

I might just be timing it well, but the place is chilled out, decent selection of drinks, excellent for watching the football..unique layouts and a really nice and welcoming atmosphere. I suppose I am glad they don't do food otherwise I would probably never leave 😁

I’m old enough to get past the initial abuse (friendly 😂) from the excellent staff about bald men! (It’s not my fault)! Loved the atmosphere much laughter and a “family/community” feel. This hostelry will change my drinking habits in Glasgow for the better 😁

Schöner verwinkelter Pub in einem großen Keller. Hier gibt es viele kleine Stuben die miteinander Verbunden sind, so kann man als Gruppe auch abseits der offenen Bereiche sitzen. Das Servicepersonal war freundlich und nett, die Auswahl an Bier und Spirituosen gut. Preislich absolut in Ordnung. Highlight war die Live Musik von einer sympathischen Band mit Blockflöte und Gitarre. Cheers.

Best Irish bar by far in Glasgow. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, live music... great craic! It's a wee hidden gem. Highly recommend
