Molly Malone's in Glasgow City

Guinness was perfect thanks. Food decent value with friendly service. Seating mixed but ok. Mid afternoon so reasonably quiet.

Great pub, lovely staff, special mention to Katie.

We booked a table of 10 for family meet up. The bar manager and staff were very accommodating and we all had a great time. Highly recommended.

The mac n cheese is horrific. Staff fine Booze all good, steak pie fine not great but fine. Foods very average or below use to be better 😔

Irish stew was supposed to have lots of root vegetables- but there were no carrots, parsnips or turnip...only potatoes, and a lot of gravy n not a great deal of meat. The few bits there were, were at least tender. The place is warm n offers lots of cosy spots to sit in. Music a bit loud. Staff ok.

Went n midweek. Now, normally, I won't order food. Usually stick to a drink. Bought tenant's good pint as always. I opt for som grub. Mix grill was finished. So got bacon cheese burger. The green sruff insde thenburger i physically had to remove every one of It. Your aren't meant to have in a burger It was not up to high standard. But it won't put me off to come back.. n bring my partner here The pint of ice t always spot on.....for your reply. It was definitely not lettuce as ther wasn't any in the burger. It was something else that should never get added

Food is amazing, came back for more. The fish and chips was delicious only maybe the fish could have more salt or flavour in general. The pies and stew were amazing, big portion sizes and good prices. The staff are a bit cold. Well recommended, we stayed in Glasgow for two nights and came back here for both.

Visited this pub on Saturday with my girlfriend, food was excellent and for how busy the pub was, the food came in great timing. The service was also superb, one of the waitresses saw I was watching the football from a restricted angle and then proceeded to offer us a table which had a perfect view of a tv. Could not recommend this place enough!!

Was over from Ireland 2 years ago and first visited this wee bar as my hotel is 1 minute away glad I did best wee spot ever bar staff and management would do anything for you always made welcome and the food and pints is delicious was back over again on the 28th December and still top notch Credit due too the Owner/ very well mannered staff 🍀🍀👍👍👍👍 See yous soon

Mi esposa y yo teníamos un vale para gastar, así que elegimos a Mollys. El personal era atento y amable. El menú era abundante también. Optamos por un postre principal. Tenía la hamburguesa Chieftain y mi esposa tenía los filetes de tocino, ambos vinieron bien presentados, cálido y sabroso! Postres Comí pudín de toffee pegajoso y mi esposa tuvo el pudín de Navidad, de nuevo ambos bien presentados, cálido y sabroso! Vale la pena visitarlo.

Best Guinness and cheap good food

Recientemente visité aquí por primera vez después de escuchar de un amigo para ir aquí. Gran pub acogedor para un par de bebidas. Delicioso, barato pinta de Guinness! Nunca conseguí comida, pero miré el menú y voy a defo tener un poco la próxima vez!

Ambiente relajado, buena comida del pub y precios competitivos. Gran personal servicial. Sin duda recomendaría y sin duda volvería a visitar en el futuro.

Quick visit to this very lively place. I love it. It has been a while since my previous visit. The atmosphere is still the same. Football on the screen in the background provides some chatter. The food is typical grub. Burgers are fantastic. Staff are very helpful and friendly . Service is great. Clean and tidy

Visitado para cenar antes de ir al teatro. Ojalá hubiéramos ido a otro lugar. No hay mucha elección en el menú y el servicio era muy lento y camarera era solo un poco extraño. La parrilla mixta era una broma, el bistec estaba crudo, el pollo había sido cocinado en un microondas al igual que el bistec de gammon / tocino, que era solo toda la grasa, sobrecocinado y básicamente asqueroso y casi ninguna patata frita en el plato (alrededor de 10 y esos eran solo extremos si eso) . Fish and chips no fue mucho mejor. El pescado estaba demasiado cocido y saboreado de aceite viejo y de nuevo casi ninguna patata frita. De nuevo, no es muy agradable comer. Para los precios cobrados la calidad de los alimentos / estándar de cocina no debe ser tan pobre. Solía ser muy bueno aquí hace años, pero realmente ha ido cuesta abajo, así que no volveré. Realmente arruinó nuestra velada y el comienzo de nuestras celebraciones de Navidad. Es una pena, ya que fácilmente podría ser mucho mejor si se pusiera un poco de cuidado en las ofertas de alimentos y productos de mejor calidad ofrecidos.

A good pub with a standard offer of food and drinks

Been to visit Molly Malone' s a number of times. Just as good as ever. One cool thing that I noticed was that the Guinness bar pumps have usb connectors built in so that customers can charge their phones. How cool is that? Large screen tv all over the bar showing sports and good music pumping out in the background. Live music later in the evening as well. Great atmosphere and great prices. Haven't actually tried any of the food on offer but everything I've seen coming from the kitchen looks pretty good. Looks like there is a revamped menu available now as well. Can't fault it. Well worth a visit to check it out! Molly Malone's - recommended 👍🏻

Nice little boozer in Glasgow! Showed the sport as well

Impromptu night out resulted in heading in here for 1 before heading home. Turns out there was a live band on and we stayed until closing time! Great night, long wait at the bar as it was so busy after the game but still a fab night nonetheless!

Good place to stop for lunch. Friendly staff, good food at a fair price. Good selection of drinks, but small beer choice. Good place to watch sports if you're interested. Handy for the main shopping areas and Glasgow Queen Street station.

The Irish stew is really good. Service was quick and the staff is really nice. I was on a Saturday with a bit too many young party people which is not necessarily a bad thing, just not mine. It's a nice Irish pub with great food and fair prices.

I was here a few years ago when National Hurling Championship was on TV so the atmosphere was just stunning with all those fans dresses in their favourite jerseys. Food was also amazing, I am not a fan of onion rings but these were delicious. I hope one day I´ll return.

Live football, on several screens... the prices on certain drinks was surprisingly low... The selection of food on offer was excellent and not too expensive. Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this wee pub !

Just called for early evening drinks so can't comment on food, Guiness is good at a great price good atmosphere but was largely a sports bar during my time there. Worth stopping by.

Booked a table for two online, for drinks and dinner. Received email confirmation, travelled 38 miles to the venue to be told my table had been cancelled as it was 'match day'. Found email sent 25 mins before reservation in my inbox. No apology, just stating the fact table had been cancelled. Disgraceful way to treat customers and I certainly won't be back. Plenty of decent Celtic bars in town, Molly Malone's isn't one of them.

Food gone downhill recently. No table service. Had the bbq chicken. Presentation wasn't great. Looked & tasted like a microwavable meal. Won't be back.

I once loved it but today when I ask for Irish stew I was serious served up a bowl of gravey with two pieces of mutton and a slice of carrot and half a small potato really crap

I think thay need a new chef, was in on a Monday, lunch time, thay need a new masher for the colcanne, it was absolutely disgusting, and only mash nothing in it,thay may need to give the chef the recipe for colcannon, sausages were absolutely burnt black, could hardly get a knife through them, no service what so ever, on fone the whole time we were in, absolutely shocking lunch, lost another couple.

Menu needs looked at as Colcannon mash with no cabbage or butter filled with hard lumps in all the food we ordered. Gammon steaks not fully cooked and very fatty. For the price I would expect more as been coming here for many years and the food was excellent once. Always used to ask how your meal was and if any problems, but npt nw so no wonder a lager promotion on to try and draw customers in. Cannot justify £13.00 for poor presentation and poor ingredients. A family favourite has went down hill and you need to fix it Mollys

Have always loved going to mollys and incredibly disappointed on this visitOnly had drinks and that was enough poor service at the bar bar staff chatting between themselves. I asked what wine they had red or white was the answer

This was a fantastic pub and the people working there are so friendly. I wish I remembered the bartender's name because he was really incredible. We told him we were visiting and he went out of his way to write us up a list of all the things we should do in Glasgow while we were there. It was above and beyond. The pub itself is an Irish pub and it looks like one. The food was pretty good and of course the pints were cold. I think they claim to have the cheapest Guinness in town. That I cannot vouch but it was pretty inexpensive. I would definitely come back.

What a great place. It may look and feel like a typical cozy pub, but the service and some unusual food items push it to excellent. Of particular note was the friendlies of our server - in fact everyone was lovely. Definitely on my to go back list

food not good in here. this is the second time i have been and thought the first time was just chef having a bad day. the mixed grill food looked and felt like plastic. staff was lovely and refunded my meal amount from the bill as she could clearly see it wasn't good

I've eaten and drunk in here several times and always enjoyed it. Not tonight, sadly. 1st, ordered a Guinness barman started pouring the extra cold which I don't like. When I pointed out I wanted the regular he took the 3/4 poured beer, topped it up with regular then practically slammed the glass on the bar quite far from me and walked away without a word but with a glower. I'd ordered fish and chips. Tonight it was soaked in grease with a visible patch in the batter. Despite this it was... Cool. Not hot. Not warm. Cool. Given the attitude over correcting my drink order I can't be bothered with dealing with it any further. Very disappointing from a place I like and had detoured from my route to come to.

We were having a lovely time in Molly's until my wife came in with my Children 14 & 17 around 5pm. She ordered drinks from the bar , cokes! Then one of the Male Staff came over and asked us if we were planning to eat, we said no and then he changed.. " Well you will have to leave as we can't have children in here unless they are eating a proper meal " We said sorry you never made that clear when we were buying our drinks! He came over quite aggressively as if we were trying to make a scene!, we were only trying to explain that we didn't know the licencing rules! I thought children were allowed in a bar until 8pm!! He then got defensive and said he didn't like Our "aggressive attitude" and said " You know what, I'm not liking this conversation so I think you should finish your drinks and leave" Absolutely shocking customer service, not that they will care but won't be in there again!!!

This is actually one of my fav bars in Glasgow and we have been in loads of times . Staff are friendly and efficient . I also like the greene king brand and have visited a number of them mainly in England . We didn’t eat this time as we were in mid afternoon to late for lunch and to early for dinner , however when we did eat previously the food was decent with good sized portions . The thing I noticed this time is that the toilets ( which are away down the stairs but that’s not the issue ) just seemed tired / dated and a bit smelly if I’m being totally truthful . Funny you judge a place but nice toilets for some reason seems important . There is a decent range of beers and prices are good for a city centre pub . I will revisit as it’s nice bar and we like the wee booths . Maybe the toilets will have had a wee spruce up before then .

Incredible value for money! I had the steak pie with chips. 10/10 for £12.25, taste, presentation, smell was spot on for me who is a very fussy Eater! I will be back on my next visit to Glasgow!

We stopped here for a quick one night visit to Glasgow and it was such a great little place. First of all the atmosphere was great...a few old dudes reminiscing about the old days, quiet music in the background and very much like your typical Irish pub. The food however was so good. I had a simple burger and fries and it had to be the best burger I ever tasted. I kept oohing and ahhing over it! Service was tops! Highly recommend.

Service was exceptional. Our server, Daniel, was attentive to my son’s allergies and patiently walked us through the menu using a tablet, ensuring we felt comfortable with our choices. I’d definitely recommend Molly Malone’s for their outstanding customer care. The food was reasonably priced, especially considering the prime location in Glasgow city centre. The dishes arrived quickly, faster than a New York minute… the meal itself was delicious and well-prepared. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal.

Traditional Scottish pub with excellent food and an enormous bar.

When in Glasgow … go to Molly Malone’s. Local pub away from home. I already love Glasgow but with Molly Malone’s I’ve found the missing piece. And not because a pint of cold, smooth and creamy Guiness costs £3.55 (yes! £3.55) but the atmosphere is fantastic. Most of the customers seem to be regulars and thanks to very friendly bar staff and rather good looking manager I feel one of them too.
