Malones Irish Bar in Glasgow City

Great music. Great atmosphere. Brilliant to watch the 6n. Best pints I've had in a long long time.

We visited Malone’s Irish Bar last week when in Glasgow. We stopped in to watch the Liverpool v Spurs match. They serve a really good Guinness. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Only downside was the kitchen closed at 7:30pm but they allowed us to order in food which was nice. We really enjoyed our visit to this pub.

Well, why go to an Irish pub in Glasgow…? Because it's cool! Great shop with nice employees. Drinks and food good. Located in a side street. Live music every now and then. Whenever I'm in Glasgow, I always go to Malones for a drink!

The place was empty when I went in. The girl at the bar was busy talking to a customer while I was waiting to be served I asked for a half pint of lager while she was still talking to the other customer then she gave me a pint of lager. I said I only asked for a pint. She said she would only charge me for a half pint. I got three drinks for £17.25 which is not value for money 😕

Great wee place to sit and have a pint whilst watching the football staff are lovely and friendly.

Christmas night oot was a great night.

Good Irish pub Service is good too as is the live music

Wasn't very busy at the time I was in as quite early in the afternoon, but the food was delicious, and the service was great

Lively city centre pub, draped in Irish memorabilia, trinkets and GAA flags. Friendly staff and wide choice of beers, whiskies, other spirits and soft drinks. A decent pub kitchen gives wholesome filling food. I use this as home of Glasgow Spurs Supporters Club for televised matches.

Cocktails could have been better. Average.

really great bar, with delicious beer and very friendly staff. We particularly liked the “newspapers” in the toilet that had funny satirical news. We didn't eat there, so I can't rate it. But given the overall impression, I assume that it is also great.

Thought we'd grab food before the Crazy Heart Gig. Lovely wee pub!

Was here with a big group for a stag do and watched the champions league final at the beer garden in the roof brilliant set up. Came back another time on a Sunday afternoon, best salt and chilli chicken chips I’ve ever had and great atmosphere despite being quiet that day.

Wouldn't accept irish IDs because they weren't offical British IDs. Absolutely ridiculous.

One of the better pubs in Glasgow - hidden away up Sauchiehall lane but don’t be shy and venture in. Great Guinness, very reasonably priced food, good staff and attracts a pretty good crowd. One of my go to’s for sure.

Great place with a fantastic atmosphere. Live music some nights and a great pint of Guinness. The Malones Stew is a must try.

Im Irish and the Guinness was a solid 9/10. Highly recommend.

Food was fantastic and a great value. Huge order of fish and chips and the loaded chips were great.

Took my other half and her friends here for there 1st meal out in Glasgow and was very much enjoyed by all.

Great place, we went for match and pints and end up having nice meal and stay on live music after with amazing atmosphere all around place. Love decor, huge bar on 1st floor with lovely whiskey selection on 🔝 Perfect to watch match for sure👌🏼

The pub is an absolute insider tip. Anyone coming to Glasgow should stop here in the evening. Super service, great selection and mega good music. There's a terrace upstairs where Celtic fans also party. I am grateful for the great time and attention.

Perfect place to relax with a pint or a scotch while enjoying some authentic Irish folk music live.

Good boozer tucked down a side street. Nice roof top terrace, closes at 11pm. Ground floor closes at 12am No real ale which was a shame but good atmosphere

Came here to watch the Connaught Gaelic football final! Showed it on the main screen with sound. Great friendly service at the bar and live music started straight after the match.

Stopped into Glasgow for a night and stumbled on Malones. Excellent night and excellent atmosphere. Jumping on Wednesday night. Would have been 5 star but the bar staff that served us had 0 knowledge of whisky, shame as selection was good. Kind of expected in Scotland when you have the selection.

Booked a table for 8 over 2 weeks in advance and they then cancelled our table a few days before our event. Cannot be trusted to keep your booking.

Decent size pub with plenty of seats upstairs. Near the stage the seating is pretty dark during the day with no lights usually on. Good atmosphere and sport on the telly. I found the drinks to be a wee bit on the expensive side but that's a personal view.

Wouldn't say I disliked it but Guinness was poorly poured and food was average. I'd say it's good on other nights.

The only Irish pub in Glasgow worth visiting. (Turned away at Kitty's by a bouncer for absolutely no reason at all, as is common there), a warm welcome here, great music and great beer, proper pub

Stopped in for a few drinks with family & friends, found my first O Guinness

Amazing nice pub to visit, great variety of drinks and very nice live music (we were there at Tuesday night), Very strict at the door which is good so the pub is crowded but not to much.

Top drawer wee 3 piece band up the stair, working their way through the Irish song book. Great craic

Eat drink and meet nice people, Sampled a free draught beer too , which was great tasting, yeah , I will come back to listen to the great music.

Bit to much noise for my liking

Went in for the first time and it was phenomenal. The staff were so nice especially the lad Scott. Even though it was busy staff were still checking we were having a nice night. Music and atmosphere was amazing. Looking forward to going back

Lovely pub, my BBQ pizza was great. The staff were very helpful. Unfortunately, and only for us, we went for a quite drink and food after work, when there was a celtic game on (we didn't know) 😂

1 A irisches Pub. Versteckt gelegen in einer dunklen Seitenstraße von Glasgow. Aber nicht abschrecken lassen, das Pub ist spitze. Vernünftige Bierpreise und das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Probiert mal die Loaded Fries.

Lugar oculto en un callejón con poca publicidad donde está uno de los murales callejeros. Excelente sitio para tomar unas cervezas, además fue una gran sorpresa la calidad de la comida. El ambiente es muy bueno, tranquilo y con una música tradicional escocesa con toques electrónicos. Fuimos con nuestras camisetas del Atlético de Madrid y no hubo ningún problema. Recomendar la comida del PUB, los nachos una delicia, y en general todo lo que pedimos era de gran calidad gastronómica.

A cozy feel with great selection of whisky both Scottish and Irish with live music and sport shown. Upstairs is a fantastic function suite and above that a great roof terrace.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon - too early for the weekend entertainment. I also didn't eat here, but from previous experience, the food is excellent.

Think that it's fair to say that the four of us drinking in Malones were comfortably the oldest in there but we weren't made to feel uncomfortable by the younger crowd. Watched the first half of Ireland thrashing Tonga in the Rugby World Cup before moving on. Not too expensive by Glasgow standards.

First time in here, my son took me for lunch. The food was excellent and incredibly reasonable. Great bar staff, my son wanted to go up to the beer garden, but I wanted to stay indoors, but I wish I had ventured up their now. I would highly recommend this place

Stopped in looking for dinner + music. For whatever reason they didn't have dinner going that night, but I enjoyed the music, a few Guinness, and some football, then went down the road for dinner. Staff was great, it was pretty empty but I would definitely go back.

Absolutely shocking service from Malones.Running 20mins late as we got a bit lost to be told we can no longer be seated by the bouncers then the manager .there was 3 empty benches outside bar.Their loss, will never be back and will never recommend.

My husband and I went to this bar and where asked to pay £5 each to get in so we left. Absolutely shocking.

Great place to sample traditional Irish food and of course irish hospitality. The upstairs opens up a total inclusive experience with a great range of traditional Irish music .A must for all fans of Irish culture

Had a lovely Irish coffee on a cold and wet day, along with scampi and chips - all was delicious. The bar people were friendly and we spent a lovely afternoon here.

Estábamos visitando Glasgow como un grupo de 10 y vinimos hasta tarde un viernes por la noche. Tuvimos la suerte de que tenían una increíble banda tocando (The Hootin Annies) y bailamos toda la noche! Fue un ambiente fantástico y se lo recomendaría a cualquiera que visite Glasgow.

Justo detrás de Sauchiehall Street, en una calle tranquila y céntrica para ir de compras, autobuses y trenes. Fui allí después de una sesión de capacitación de negocios en Glasgow y el personal y los clientes habituales me parecieron amables y serviciales. La comida y la cerveza eran perfectas. . Justo lo que se requería después de un largo día.

Was there for a drink and a little bite, all was perfect and the prices ok. Can recommend this pub for a stop on a busy day
