Good food but large chip portion size is terrible! Need to throw a few more on!

Just nipped in for a chip on the way home, customer service was terrible.one girl took my order another girl wrapped the food, no please or thank you. No idea how to speak or treat a customer. £4 for a chip!!

Sorry, use Gordy's a lot, but not anymore. Fish overcooked & rubbery, chips overcooked. Binned most of the meal.

I have to say that the quality of food has dropped significantly over the past few months. The last couple of orders have been poor. The chicken burgers are deep fried, hard and are far too greasy. The bacon was hard and overcooked, and the chips were uneatable after being dipped and recooked too many times. It all left an awful greasy feeling in the back of your throat and we through most of the food out, which is not good considering the price paid. Whilst I realize that Gordy's have become extremely busy but I'm afraid the quality of the food isn't great which is maybe detrimental to their recent success. I'll be looking for somewhere else I'm afraid ...Back to basics guys, quality is better than quantity!

Love their food but pricey. Also note on its website, prices are less expensive than when you order delivery eg. Meal deal for lunch 6.50 on its website. Ordering through just eat etc price is 8.50 - before delivery even.. then a tip is added!! So sausage and chips cost me over 12 quid because I injured my foot and couldnt drive. Macdonalds and kfc better value for money sadly.

We regularly travel from the other side of town to eat out of here. We have had just eat orders, app orders, phone orders and face to face orders here and they have always been right and the food is absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are great also and well priced. Definitely our favourite chippy!

Tried a Christmas feast out of here and it was fantastic! Highly recommend!

Shockingly bad experience! I downloaded the Gordy's app last night and placed an order for delivery totalling £30.00 at 6pm. By 6.30 the order still hadn't been acknowledged so I rang in to check and found the shop hadn't received it. These things happen sometimes, I accept that and was happy for the young girl to take my order over the phone. By 7.30pm there was still no sign of our order so I rang back to be told they hadn't had an order from us. This suddenly changed to ''Oh, it's out with the delivery driver. 45 minutes later, Still. No. Food....... I rang back, no answer. We then discovered that they closed at 8pm. So either the world's most incompetent delivery driver is still touring Northern Ireland with some very cold chippie food or I was lied to. I'll let you draw your own conclusion. You only get the one chance to make a good impression, you well and truly blew that opportunity.

The best chippy in Portadown, menu is amazing for all needs and wants, staff are always friendly and give the best service, highly recommend!!

I never had a bad fish and chips or anything else for that matter untill my last order it was in around 6.30/7 on a Friday, am not sure what time it closes but think staff were cleaning up the trays as they put the under paper in a bin, all I want to say is from your 1st to your last with today's prices every customer is important so don't forget about us that work late ☹️

Been a few times and won't be back. Battered fish is supposed to be nice and crunchy but not here, was soggy and horrible. Very disappointing especially when you pay so much now for a fish.

The food is amazing always hot and freshly made the delivery service is always on the time the staff are really friendly and good size portions it's not expensive either love their fish and chips

The service was good and friendly the fish and sausages where above average but the chips where a big let down some looked fresh and some looked and tasted like they had been cooked several times

Gordy's special chicken burgers will all the toppings are fab

If you want excellent chips this is the place to go ,food is fantastic highly recommend!!

I got an sausage supper from gordys on the 25th of August, and got food poisoning from it, not the first time ive heard of this happening from there either. Wont be back still not right.

Ordered on just eat waited on food and never received even though said delivered. I rang Gordys who said once it left shop it was nothing to do with them. Didn't wanna know so stole my money and fobbed off with we don't know who delivers. Totally disgusting. I will never use again.

Miserly with sauce portions. Ordered a Hot Dog with any/all extras - I was given a dry burger bun with 2 sausages cut in half - not even any ketchup or mustard; how a dry bun and sliced sausages equates to a hot dog, I'll never know. Asked for a portion of curry sauce with my fish and chips, I was given the smallest possible portion cup size of curry sauce, and the sauce was globby and too thick. There was a super chip as part of the order, again, the absolute minimal amount of super chip sauce was used - disappointing. It was ordered on a Friday evening, so I can take into consideration they were maybe busy, and the order did come very quickly through Uber Eats, but the way the food came was disappointing.

Superchip was not so super - Very disappointing portion sizes compared to other places. Carton wasn't even half filled ☹

I am told the first installation of Gordy's simply vanished into thin air one day, however my nuggets did not and I found them to be extremely pleasant! 🪱🪱
