Bob and Berts in Craigavon

Visited on Saturday past along with my friend. We ordered a toastie and a panini, a water and a tea. Staff were friendly and ordering was easy enough. However it was over half an hour before the food arrived at the table which for a toastie and a panini was poor. The toastie I found stale and not very enjoyable. First time visiting Bob and Bert’s but won’t be rushing back.

Bob & Berts in Portadown is a great spot to relax, especially on a cold day. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it the perfect place to sit back and enjoy a warm drink. Their hot chocolate is rich and indulgent—just what you need to warm up. The café offers plenty of seating, making it a comfortable place to unwind while waiting for something, like an oil change for your car. With a great selection of food and drinks, it’s an excellent choice for a quick break or a leisurely visit. If you're in the area, it’s definitely worth stopping by for a comforting treat and a welcoming experience.

Worst coffee ive tasted! Cold dish water is only way to describe this place! Only i had taken away I'd of wanted a refund

Visited with friends for breakfast, staff ok not very friendly we ordered food and went to find a table up the steps only two tables didn't have dirty dishes and trays on them. My friend asked for a highchair which was at the front of the cafe and had to go and carry it up herself. Our drinks came lukewarm at best and the food came my berry stack didn't have white choc sauce on so had to ask for it. The food was just warm. All this time staff standing chatting and walking past all these tables with dirty dishes and not cleared. The place was also cold we had to put our coats on. Sadly we won't be back a lack of customer service and hygiene issues and cleanliness we would avoid.

This place has went downhill ... the hot food is cold and horrible.. Long waits and bad service.. The staff know it's rubbish and will readily give refunds it's hard to tell who is to blame but nobody that works there gives monkeys about the customers..

Delicious coffee, delicious cake, everything would be nice if you didn't have to ask to clean the table and everywhere there is dirt and crumbs on the floor, is someone cleaning there or just talking with friends?

I've eaten in bob&Bert's throughout Northern Ireland, their food has always been lovely, but today in their Portadown cafe it was horrible, coffee's Luke warm and breakfast was served with cold poached eggs on fried sourdough with avocado, I spoke to a waitress who informed me that the eggs are always served cold, I informed her that I have never been served cold poached eggs previously in any eatery. She said that she would speak to the chef, unfortunately that was it, no further discussion, we left the building very disappointed, and have no intention of returning.

Overall not bad, good food quite cold though

Foods beautiful, a real fry with black pudding which I love. However, please get the door fixed, -4oC outside and no one has the sense to close the door properly, was froze sitting at the window seat

Staff are far too young to interact with customers, no smiles, no please, no thank you ... I'd suggest employing people that are really interested in Good customer's Service ...otherwise we could be looking at another shop closure on the High Street ...

This café is a lovely place to sit and eat . There is plenty of seating room, and they tended to my every whim. There was an inviting warmth about the cafe also. I would recommend the cafe to family and friends to experience.

Got the Boxing Day Toastie …. Didn’t care much for the gravy… But the toastie was tasty… 8.5/10 👍

Only had tea and toast but service was unacceptable. When I asked for a different cup for the tea that would be easier to use the staff member made this seem like a massive thing. We then waited almost 20mins for 2 slices of toast...during which my mother went and asked when they had a moment could she get more hot water for her to tea to which the response was just and an eye roll. There were others who got fed up waiting and left after being told there order had not been out through after 30mins. The whole place could do with a good clean as tables rather sticky and tables uncleared when customers have left.

Great Sevice, Lovely Place , we came from malaga and the irish breakfast was exellent, elf cake was amazing. Highly recomend!

We called in here for lunch on saturday. The order was taken quickly at the till. he food took al ong time to arrive and was at best- average. The drinks were finished by the time the food arrived. There are plenty of good cafes in Portadown to use in future.

One of the worst Fry's I've even had, look like it was cooked last week. have summited a refund and provided photos.

Been awhile since ordering out of here, we really enjoyed it :)

Expensive, for what was an adequate snack, in my opinion. 2 cappuchino, 1 scone, 1 caramel slice. Almost 15.00 pounds. Would not choose again.

Delayed delivery.Wrong drink delivered. Asked for Honeycomb frappe some kind of a cold coffee delivered. Wouldn’t know if not drank and cannot return as well.

All good EXCEPT PLEASE UPSTAIRS QUIET ZONE. Most people are on computers or reading or chatting. It's set up as chill area with books and sofas. Loud music some days spoils it.

forgot two items from my order, pancakes were cold with no cream as ordered :( coffee was very nice but that was the only nice thing about it, won't be ordering delivery again !!

Ordered the short stack pancakes today, paid the supplement of £2.25 for extra bacon. This brought my order to £11.20. I ordered a delivery at 11am which was due to arrive at 11:45 my order arrived 20 minutes late at 12:05 and I got less bacon than if I would have just ordered the stack without the extra.

Place was very dirty today and the toliets!! Had to leave. The staff need to keep it in better condition

Not one to write up a comment but thought id try bob and berts for the first time today and when i went in i also had to use the bathroom. Sorry to say i wont be back. The place was very dirty and the toilets where rotten. Dirt left all on floors and tables dirty

1st time ordering. Had been put off in the past with the negative reviews. But the fry up was spot on, and delivery was fast too. Will order again.

Got raspberry and white chocolate scone it was tasteless wouldn't recommend.

Hands down the best coffee I've had in a while. Aromatic and strong, but no bitter after taste. The meals are delicious, and even though we didn't taste the cakes or multitude of treats, these looked incredible. The vibe was cozy and festive but quiet enough to enjoy a good conversation.

Food was nice, warm and looked good when it arrived. No signs of squishing, spilling or getting over-steamed whilst on the delivery run. All delivered to my door by a very pleasant, smiley and friendly delivery lady. Great job all round.

My 2nd visit and last, ordered tea, toast and scrambled egg, worst in my life I have ever tasted, cold and like rubber, no milk or butter used in the making of, sent it back and what came back was much the same only warmer, tried only a couple of spoonfuls, enjoyed the tea and toast but who can't make that.disappointed to say the least.

I've been before and its been OKAAY. Today was definitely substandard. Ordered waffles because there were no pancakes (at 10.30). Waffles were dry, stale and overcooked. Supposed to come with maple syrup (i PAID for maple syrup) but in fact came with golden syrup. Over-priced (considerably) but underperformed- an unpleasant breakfast. Coffee was OK though.

Takes too long to be delivered from point of order. Food came slightly warm and needed heating in microwave.

Love their burgers & the rainbow cake is a must-try for sweet tooths. The breakfast menu is great and anything tastes great in my opinion

Generally go very often to Bob and Bert’s, mostly Portadown. Went today, Sunday, as usual, ordered Panini with 2 salads and a new loaded fries dish with bacon, sausage, cranberry sauce together with coffee lattes. Received panini a short time later but loaded fries arrived much later. The panini was luke warm but eatable. However it was a different story for the loaded fries as it was impossible to find a warm spot. Called the assistant to explain who took the loaded fries away, brought them back later but the only thing warm was the plate. She explained the fries couldn’t be reheated. We asked to speak to the Manager but a supervisor explained she could not replace food as we had tried the food and ate a couple of forkfuls of food! This has been our first disappointing experience in Bob and Bert’s. We are 3 females who have being going faithfully every Sunday for at least 7 months, obviously because we love Bob and Bert’s, but after todays experience we will have to rethink our choices.

Food arrived cold!! I was disappointed as this has never happened before.

As a visibly disabled customer I have been left standing, numerous times, by the same staff member. Even when I asked to be served I was ignored. There were no other customers were around when I've asked this, I am not expecting special treatment just a bit of sensitivity. When there was no seating available I was told to go up stairs. Yup, someone with a mobility aid told to go up a flight of stairs to sit. No thank you.

I've been eating at Bob & Berts quite often and never had any big issue with them, however this time really let me down. I've paid almost 17£ and waited nearly an hour for a restaurant that's 1km away from my house to receive a small box of soggy fries and a sad excuse for a hot dog, smushed by the box, with soggy bun and no extra filling except for some onions. This is my first time ever complaining about my food delivery but I can't find an excuse for this.

As someone with MS I find it appalling that the same staff member, Katherine I believe she is called, repeatedly leaves me standing for up to 10 mins at a time when it's very clear I have a disability; a woman in her 30s doesn't use a walking stick or crutches just for a bit of craic. I have asked her to serve me on different occasions to not as much as 'I'll be with you in a moment'. It's gotten to the point I leave whomever I'm with to order. I'd had the sum total of one interaction with her before this when she barked at me to help her to fix her necklace. I did, her hair was tangled round it. I'm now at the point that I plan to never return. Oh and, just by the by, its not appropriate to tell your disabled customers to sit upstairs when there are no seats available.

Absolutely dismal customer service during a visit today. I have had no idea ever that Bob & Berts are dog friendly. It's not signposted or displayed anywhere in store. I found this out by encountering a simple man who sat with his two small dogs and encouraged them to wander as far as their extendable leads would take them. This included other tables, customers and of course staff who were feeding the dogs treats from their hands. I have nothing against dogs, but if I wanted to eat with them, I would have stayed at home with my own. When I enquired as to why there were dogs in such close proximity to food, I was cheekily informed that it was 'dog friendly' (I hope for everyone's sake they were flea'd and wormed) and that dog free seating was available upstairs. I informed the staff member that this was unacceptable as my wife is disabled and to ask someone to climb a long flight of stairs in that condition is frankly offensive. The staff member then walked off to retrieve the takeaway containers I had asked for with no further attempt to engage. Charming. Will NOT be back.

Not great. Very small portion. Kids meal was bigger than my adults meal that came out. The place was nearly empty and the food still managed to be cold as well. Disappointing.

Order was very late. Had to call the restaurant. Friendly staff. Order was delivered 45 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered.

First time visitor for Sunday brunch. Ordered a fry-up but several items were missing. Pointed this out to staff who claimed I’d ordered something different but it didn’t include those items either. Eventually got the missing items, without an apology. Food overly greasy and sausages over cooked.

Really disappointed with the price of the food vs the portion size. Kids wanted this for their weekly treat and were very disappointed when they got home. £3.25 for a portion of fries is expensive, but when the portion size is so small, it really doesn't give value for money. McDonald's would actually be better value at £1.99 for a large fries, and the portion size would probably be larger. I rang the restaurant thinking they had made a mistake. Got speaking to a B&B employee and she agreed with me the portion sizes had become a lot smaller while the prices had also increased. She also encouraged me to write this review expressing my disappointment, in the hope that the owners would see it and take some notice. As she said that the owners are taking no notice of the complaints that staff are passing on from customers. Definitely won't be back until things improve and the owners stop putting profit before happy customers and staff.

Nice place /cafe with. New unusual treats. I got a biscoff slice which was yum and a friend got a waffle which was fresh made crispy not chewy which was also great too.

my friend ordered some cake and needed to return it as it had mould on it. servers seemed exhausted but evidently tried to perserveer in chaotic conditions. happy staff makes happy customers.

Lovely place! Well decorated and amazing friendly staff, the food was good and filling. I came here with my blind Grandmother who struggles to read and doesn't know brail. I suggest a menu for the blind and those that have difficulty seeing making menus in brail and larger text menus. I think with that small change it will be more friendly towards people that struggle with sight.

Everyone who served me was incredibly pleasent and helpful, although I waited a wee bit I loved the food that came, top quality stuff. I got the Bert's Loaded Fries and they were a great portion size as well as that they tasted amazing. My colleague got the breakfast bap which they loved. Highly recommended to anyone who is visiting Portadown and is looking for some coffee, cake, pastries or some delicious food. Only other point would be that some people were waiting in the queue for quite some time.

Cheese debate. Went for quick food here as my daughter and I were starving...not been there many times so made a nice change. Sat by the window and ordered food..however when it came I could nt see or taste the cheese in the cheesey chilli potato ..literally thought there was none in it. I went up to the counter like Oliver Twist and said there was no cheese in my food...the girl held it up..got a fork and literally picked up a tiny bit of cheese on the side of the plate..not the food itself. Yes there is cheese in it says she. Well I cant see or taste it I said and laughed. Could I have some more on it I asked? No we have set portion sizes she said. We are only allowed to put on a certain amount of cheese she said. Ok...but theres none on my dish....I stood there with my plate in hand and she was not going to budge. Other customers were watching. Like Oliver Twist I asked for more cheese so I could actually see and taste it. Huffing...someone came over and grabbed cheese from the counter and put it on my jacket spud. Its just cheese ladies and not a crime to expect some on my dish!! Apart from that its ok...but pricier than other places and you dont get value for money..well not in my case . Plate was only a small plate too!! So sorry, but better places to eat!

We ended up coming here twice over the weekend for brunch as it was fabulous! Great food options which were delicious. Hopefully be back to try some cakes next time.

The girl behind the till lovely but you could see that she was stressed. Plenty of staff yet tables were not cleaned down and the poor girl at the till was left to herself. Ordered four food items. One was gluten free but we got given the burger instead of the chicken. Told a member off staff and it was switched no problem and got issued a refund. Good amount of options for those who are ceoliac

My review is about the delivery service. First time on deliveroo app, good. Food was great. Then it went down hill from there. They had to reimburse me twice for failed deliveries one no receipt of confirmation although delivery confirmed. Then the other late delivery. Then they asked if I could download their app. I did this the first delivery great then the next shop was shut due to electrical fault reimbursed. Then the delivery service went downhill again. Instead of the boxes keeping the breakfast buns nice they wrapped in foil which sticks it altogether and is a total mess and soggy. Now when trying to order delivery the app says shop closed. Disgusted to be honest I have no interest in ordering in the future. They need to get this sorted. And please Bob and Berts no apologies written down because these are just words. Actions speak louder 👍

Great spot in the centre of town. Can get quite busy at brunch or lunch time. Traybakes as well as savoury treats excellent.

Brilliant cafe with lovely coffee and snacks. Dog friendly on a whole new level. Staff are always helpful and friendly but Vera is amazing with dogs. She spoils them rotten. Our dogs really enjoy visiting Vera.

Was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at 15.50 and found there was no queue, I ordered 2 medium cappuccinos but was told they would be in take away cups because they didn't have any medium cups. I asked a young male server if he could clear the table for us which he acknowledged and said give me 2 minutes. We left at 16.40, just after very loud music was put on. The table still hadn't been cleared 45 minutes after we arrived.

Got the Bobs fry up was missing the black pudding and pancake. I ordered and extra half of a pancake and got that instead so wasn’t worth just over £10.

First time there... took 30 mins before we got our breakfast... people who were behind us in the queue got their breakfast before us. Counter staff helpful and pleasant.

Luv this shop but today I paid neatly £5 for a piece of cake that was less than a cm thick. I complained and was told sorry about that. Definitely wasn't worth £2 if I'm being honest.

Clean, friendly, pleasant & welcoming restaurant. Staff were equally as pleasant and friendly. One of the best bob and Bert’s I’ve visited.

Been here a few times but it's clearly going down hill. Place needs a serious deep clean, build up of dirt on the floor, large cobwebs on most high lights and fittings. LED strip lighting hanging down. Just looks very tired.. food ok and no issues with service as it is what is is. But PLEASE lift your standards and sort it out before you lose more custom.
