We came in for lunch, and was quickly seated in the conservatory which has nice views out over the golf links and towards Islandmagee. They had an offer on at £ 10 for a main course. 2 of us picked the chicken chilli strips with chips and the 3rd person had the burger with chips. For dessert we choose a selection of small desserts that came in presented on a board. See photoes. All was very tasty.

Thought we'd give it a try under the new management. Absolutely delighted. Staff were very friendly, decor is lovely and more importantly the food was absolutely delicious. Best steak I've ever tasted, monkfish was lovely. 7 of us and everyones meal was perfect. Definately recommend, and will be going back 100%

Firstly, the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful, welcoming and nothing was a bother to them, secondly the food was the very good, I had the pressed 6oz burger my wife had the beef, I must say very good, so what’s the downside, NOT enough staff, they were run of their feet, so consequently we were left forgotten about, Catherine wanted to try a desert but it took so long we just got fed up paid and left, would we go back, only if there was more staff to look after you, they were serving tables, working behind the bar, crazy, so come on whoever owns this place sort this out or it will soon become like Ruby’s in Antrim and Larne somewhere else we don’t go back to

Had a great lunch. Unbelievable price - ten pounds. Very good value for a restaurant meal. I had the sticky chilli chicken strips. Comes with Asian slaw and chips. Liked it. Had the mushroom soup as a starter, and it was fantastic. Could not decide on a dessert, but they had a platter with small versions of several dessert choices, so that solved the problem. It was a real treat. I should say this place is newly reopened. New chef, new menu, new staff, everything except a new name. That lunch menu lasts from noon to 4pm, then their evening menu takes over. That has monkfish, so I must come back. 5 out of 5 for hygiene, staff were attentive. Free car park right outside. Great view across to Muldersleigh Hill and Islandmagee, Full bar. Lift / elevator if you need it. Big, spacious dining area. This used to be Bonugli land, back in the day. The building was originally the club house for the second site of Whitehead Golf Club.

The service was appalling. Having received the menus we had to then go and seek out a server to take our order after over a 20 minute delay. At end of starter course we again had to seek a server and ask if our dishes could be removed and the next course served. The food was little better. The goats cheese starter was little more than a roll of cheese, where was the advertised caramelised nuts? Main course fish of the day, Hake, was dry, served in broken pieces and had zero flavour. We like to support local business but sadly will not return here.

The initial greeting was that there would be a 15 min wait. No issue although the restaurant was quiet so a bit surprising. They then forgot to bring us menus so when we did get a menu we ordered dinner and it came in good time. I immediately though noticed that my fish batter was limp and not cooked properly so sent it back. When it came back all was ok however I then noticed that there were 8 chips in total. When it came to pay we mentioned that there had been no acknowledgement of the food issue and were told there would be nothing off the bill as they had recktified the issue. It would be difficult to recommend a restaurant with such poor customer service and lack of attention to what they serve with portions very poor

We went for the first time for Mother’s Day 3 adults and 5 children, the staff were amazing from start to finish couldnt do enough for us and the restaurant was packed, the food (all three courses)was one of the best meals we have had in a very long time ,the goats cheese starter was a proper portion of actual goats cheese not mixed or watered down with anything else to save on cost like other places do and really good portions with all the meals, the pork was melt in your mouth gorgeous and moist ,the kids meals were made from good fresh ingredients and a good size also ,we will definitely be back to try the steak night and Sunday roast 🥰

Lovely lunch with friends, we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The standard of service and food was as always excellent. We were really well looked after by all of the staff but a special mention to Mark who made us the most delicious cocktails. Looking forward to dining at the Fuzzy Beak again.

A great experience from the moment we walked through the door. Friendly, welcoming and attentive staff, super decor, and a great buzz. We both had steaks and they were perfect. Lovely prawns, pepper sauce, mash and chips too... and sure why wouldn't you finish off with a rhubarb crumble? Can't wait to go back 😎

Third time visiting this restaurant and have always enjoyed the food and staff are lovely and very attentive but we feel the prices are too high unfortunately. This is reflected in how quiet it can be at times especially early in the week at lunch times. These are city centre prices and portions are not that big for the price paid. I do hope this place doesn’t become another victim of the cost of living crisis as a result because it really is a great wee place.

This was our second visit - our first one about 6 months ago didn’t impress us so we decided to try again. The staff are superb - so polite and helpful without being too intrusive. Our food was absolutely beautiful - incredibly tasty. We had main courses and deserts and both were first class. (Totally different standard of food to our first visit). We will be back.

Venue is very well presented. Waiting staff are very professional, pleasant and attentive. We have been 3 or 4 times since restaurant first opened and always left feeling the food was mediocre. Had high Hope's with new chefs starting. Pork belly starter and main awful! The starter was over the top hot (chillies) and tough and the pork belly main again tough! Beef and bird was marginally better with pleasant mash and beef n overcooked chicken strips . Again waiting staff are very pleasant.

We have been here on numerous occasions and it never disappoints. From first contact with the wonderful staff right through until we left nothing was too much trouble. The food as usual was delicious. I would suggest the lamb shank which was cooked to perfection. We had an extremely enjoyable evening. Once again well done to all the Fuzzy Beak team!

I live within walking distance of here, when it was the bentra we were never out of it, we were all excited about the new venue opening, unfortunately we have only been here on three occasions since it opened, we went on one of the first nights and it was a disaster, no other words, we put it down to the chaos of opening and decided to wait a while before returning, we waited over an hour for our steaks to arrive, it wasn’t a huge issue as we were enjoying a bottle of wine and a chat, the steaks were fine nothing special but saved cooking ourselves, we were here the other day for the first time in maybe a year, food was cold and really nothing special the prices are crazy and I can’t imagine ever going back, we eat in whitehead golf club most weeks and the food and the service is always excellent , such a shame as the decor and views are lovely, most of our neighbours feel the same as none of them use it

This was a charming venue with attentive staff. The menu was quite broad and the food tasty, I liked the idea of cheesecake of the day plus it was delicious.

Last time I visited, this was the Bentra bar and grill, they have given the place a makeover and it is very nice with a pleasant atmosphere. The food was high quality, I had bird and beef I think it was called shredded beef on a bed of champ(tatties and scallions) with some chicken goujons. Will definitely have to visit again when I'm next over

Brought the wife and kids here for Sunday dinner. The staff were amazing, couldn't do enough for us. The food was first class, starters, main course the lot. It was actually the first time in a while I ordered my steak rare and it wasn't over cooked. We will difinetly be back.

Let’s start with the positives lovely views, clean and spacious restaurant but the most important positive was the excellent staff. The young waiter was enthusiastic charming knowable and helpful lovely guy an asset to the restaurant. The food on the other hand was disappointing the open prawn sandwich was lacking in prawns and the wheaten bread was hard and dry. The overall taste was of caramelised onions ????? Who thought onions in abundance was an essential addition to a traditional prawn sandwich. Sorry the taste didn’t work for me. My friend fared a little better her Caesar salad was just ok So all in all lots of positives but the food let it down

After spending £45 on a meal for 2, there was no salad or sauces with poppodoms. Felt it should be included as standard and was tight.
