Creed Coffee in Carrickfergus

Creed is the best food in Carrickfergus. There burgers are awesome. Friendly staff and beautiful food. I can’t wait until our next trip.

My wife and I regularly go here for coffee, but unfortunately it has gone really down hill recently. They appear to have plenty of staff, but service is painfully slow. Today my wife ordered a cappuccino and got a latte instead, an easy mistake to make. What we found hard to believe was that it took them around 15 minutes to make right their mistake. I really don't know why this place has become so bad lately, but if they don't improve their service, I for one won't be going back.

Nice cafe. Serves a great coffee and reasonably priced. Stood by myself waiting for 9 minutes until I was served eventually. Edit to response: they seemed busy in-between their floss dance moves. But I felt like an idiot and was unsure if I was standing in the wrong place (in front of counter where cakes are). A wee acknowledgement of my presence and maybe 'I'll be with you in a moment' would have been useful 😊 Staff were nice, happy and friendly though.

Decent coffee place. We sat at a table that was recently used and had not been cleared. As we waited for someone to come and clear it they did not. Our order arrived and the young girl thought it was fine to just put our coffees in and around the previous customers empty cups and plates without having the sense to have it cleared before our order arrived. We asked if the table could be cleared first and she said oh yes. She started clearing but it was taking so long we had to help her. By that stage our coffees were lukewarm. I just put that down to a little bit of inexperience. Other than that it was a nice time, we ordered extra coffees and stayed over an hour. Would definitely return.

Only ever sampled the tray bakes but they have a great variety and taste delicious. Like to go there for a coffee and relax in the armchairs catching up with friends. Staff are very pleasant.

Visited on Friday before Christmas. Cafe not busy but staff appeared confused and unattentive. Half order taken then waitress disappeared left standing. Reappeared order placed. Order brought but had to ask for cutlery to eat.

Coffee was outstanding (soy flat white) and the club sandwich was very tasty and big enough to share (if your not starving 😂)

I want to do an update on my review from a year ago. Unfortunately my most recent experience has really put me off coming again. There were some young ladies serving who could do with some training in customer service. They were most unhelpful and had very sullen expressions. They didn't have several of the options my friend wanted eg bagel (at 12.30!) I ordered chai tea but was told they had runout and I joked that I should check what else they were out of before deciding on my order- I was glared at and she snapped'well what do you want" !! my friend at this stage gave up on ordering food and just ordered a cappuccino. At the seating area, the sun was very bright so my friend asked one of these young ladies if the blinds could be pulled down. she replied "I'll ask" and never returned. We then noticed the blinds aren't there any more which is a shame as it was really helpful when they were installed. There was a young man also on duty who was very pleasant when we spoke with him and another gentleman on duty has always been very nice too- I wish it had been either of them serving us. These girls gave the impression they didn't want to be there and wished we weren't there too! The whole experience really put me off - and there are plenty of alternatives to go to in Carrickfergus. I do hope someone in management notices this review and implements some basic customer service training with the staff as it's a real shame their attitude has soured my impression of a previously favourite spot. Another great coffee spot in Carrick. You can preorder your drink to pick up via their app?( I need to double check the process as I haven't done that) which is great. They have tinted the window which faces onto the road which is very helpful as the sun hits that side - much more comfortable for the customer. Very pleasant staff and today we managed to get the lovely seats with multicoloured fabric which are not only very cool but comfortable ( quite a number of the seats at tables are very uncomfortable I find for an old crock like me but there are a number of soft seats as well- choose carefully if you need comfort like me). The only negative I have is the artwork - the brooding, dark , menacing men in flat caps do not enhance my experience but I guess that's personal opinion and I'll just try to not look their way lol) On the plus side there is a wide ranging menu and lots of yummy cakes etc

Went on the basis of generally positive reviews but was just average and quite high prices also..Had the eggs royal with smoked salmon and spinach - it was served quite cold and the spinach was uncooked for some reason which isn't great - not sure why you'd serve uncooked spinach. coffee was quite good. service was fine. would be unlikely to return given other options in the area.

Busy spot on Sunday lunch times. Good ambience usually. All girl staff most days, could do with a fella or two. Prices are reasonable.

Got soup and crusty, soup was delicious and was still warm. Just what you want on a cold day

Good coffee and nice breakfasts and early evening meals. Nearly always busy. The only negative is parking so pick your time carefully.

Incredible food, absolutely love to have it delivered frequently for my lunch, the club sandwich on granary bread is my favourite and it's perfect every single time.

This place used to be really great, not sure if it’s been taken over or what, we were in the other day for the first time in a long while, the coffee is still great but waited about 40 minutes for it, they seem to care about their delivery customers more than their sit ins

We haven't been here in a while so decided to give Saturday breakfast a try. It did not disappoint... There was a lovely guy on the till & serving. He was polite and helpful & so was the girl clearing tables. The atmosphere was lovely it was peaceful and not too busy at the time. Then the food was amazing, everything I like in a breakfast, looked and tasted great. We will be back

This was our first time trying creed and what a find the food was amazing !!! I never knew creed served food I thought it was just a coffee shop ,but my girlfriend looked it up on Sunday morning and we couldn't believe the menu she found .We went for the pannies a soup which was delicious,and 2 slices of chocolate fudge cake !! The pannies have to be the best I have EVER tasted everything was perfect even the presentation of the delivery I just wish I had known they served food before and delivered.If I can say anything to creed ,guys get the word out there you do such amazing food I live five minutes from you and I honestly didn't know 🙈keep up the great work you have definitely got new customers

Delivered to me the first time I ordered from it on uber eats. Ordered twice more to have the order sit for over an hour before rejecting my order for being too far away. Needs to be removed from my uber eats. Won't be ordering again.

The cool chef who brought food out went above and beyond, rest of staff have a severe attitude problem.

Friendly relaxing and luvly food

Took 30 minutes for takeaway of two bagels. Watched people who got here before us get their food faster. Once we said something food appeared within moments… a bit odd. Would NOT recommend… staff was apathetic. Better off at the McDonalds nearby

Absolutely love getting the smashed avocado on sourdough bread I get it every time I go to creed and also for delivery. This time I ordered the honey roast ham salad aswell they did not skimp on the ham was absolutely gorgeous

Had the mixed sandwich platter, really great selection and absolutely delicious.

Astounded at the price of a very basic sandwich. Ordered 2 sandwiches online for collection. Email was very clear and agreed time for collection as well as price being on there, my fault for not checking price as service was good. Sandwiches were very basic, yet 2 sandwiches was £16.10p. Totally astounding considering competitor prices and the quality. I was with a colleague who had recommended this place as I'm not a local, fair to say he's an idiot.

We recently had our baby shower catered by creed. The food was incredible and everyone raved about it all day. We also couldn't fault the service that louise and the team provided from booking the food to delivery for us. It was more than we could of asked for.

Cesar salad made with wilted salad, paid £9 for a wrap and got half a wrap cut in 2 and about 6 tortilla chips. - table not cleared even when food was served so had to eat alongside others leftovers - no urgency with staff, very laxy daisy - 1 star because the food was edible but very disappointed otherwise

Sadly this place has gone down hill. Use to be lovely last few times, staff have been abrupt and my orders have been wrong. Real shame as I always use to enjoy going.

Disappointing customer experience - waited 25+ min for 2 x tea, 1 x coffee, 2 x scones and 1 x brownie. When our order arrived, it was wrong! I think that you have overstretched your operation. We witnessed - corporate orders, online orders and casual customers. The place was chaotic, staff didn't know what they were doing

Very friendly and professional staff, food lovely though I just had a tray bake but it was amazing.

Nice place for a quick bite and coffee. It always has a great selection of buns and cake to suit everyone.

This place is a very nice place to eat or have a drink , I always get a iced coffee with carmelle and it's so nice and great when it's really warm,it's so good I still have it in the winter,I know crazy,that's how good it is,I only have to wait like 2-3 minutes but like 4-5 on a really busy day but it's really good the people there are so nice as well

Tried the new dirty chip in Creed Coffee today. Absolutely amazing from the meat to the sauces, theres a good kick of it. Presentation on delivery was spot on. Good eating in this bad boy! Will Definitely be getting again very soon!!

Las pancakes riquísimas pero el servicio terrible. Primero llegaron las tortitas y a los 15 minutos el resto de la comida y cafés. Las mesas sin limpiar pero porque no piensan en recogerlas cuando vuelven de dejar platos en las mesas. Eso es lo más básico en hostelería. Muchísimo staff y fatal servicio. Majos pero nada organizados. Seguro que pueden hacerlo mucho mejor!

We treated ourselves to a breakfast delivery today and it was fantastic. Never had breakfast delivered before and to be honest Never really thought about it. Lol Going out for breakfast is good but having it delivered was nice for a change. The food was great, eggs still soft and all delivered still hot. Great job! 👍

Today as is every visit to Creed a very enjoyable experience, the food is delicious and presented to the highest standards. The coffee is definitely the best in the area! The staff are pleasant, courteous and very polite and a credit to the establishment. I look forward to our next visit. Thank you. 😊

We were disappointed with our stay here, very inconsistent. When we got there we noticed that the table that was for 4 did not look practical for eating at because the table was too low down and that the waitresses were only cleaning the tops of the table and leaving the rest. When we ordered our meal we were told that "nobody ever buys that" which seemed quite off. There was then a confusion when we ordered our meal with the staff and we were told they have "no idea what happened". The decor was rather nice but there was a lack of light and charm in the place all over. The service was quite lacklustre and a lack of warmth. The food was ok at best, undercooked burger, dripping wet egg and £3 for a reasonably miniscule Flat White which was definitely Flat just a shame it didn't have everything else. Our order came to £16.80!! Far too much for the standard that was delivered to us, we didn't have a good gut feeling and we wer right. Sad customers here :(

Really nice little coffee shop with a big selection of food options. We had the club sandwich which was amazing - it was a jam packed full triple decker! The service was slow but it was busy with every table full. Would definitely come back.

Ordered a brunch to dine in with my daughter after an exam. Waited well over 30 mins before realising almost everyone who had come in after us had been served (and some had already left), but we hadn't. When I chased it at the counter (had to go to counter as no staff came to us despite us having been given a table marker number which was prominently displayed) I was told it would be 5 mins more and that we'd been forgotten about. We then waited at least 20 mins more. Was asked twice more what we had ordered - not sure why we had to give the order multiple times, it was just a simple order from the menu. I'm only giving them 2 stars rather than 1 because at the very least we had a compensatory drinks refill and an apology of sorts (albeit one that came with some excuses, such as the 'docket had been lost', the 'kitchen hadn't received the order' and 'the staff weren't able to rectify'). When the food turned up, almost 1 hour after we arrived, it was OK... just 'OK'. I paid £18.60 for basic brunch for 2 (an adult and a child). I don't intend to ever go back as I suspect there are much better places to go in Carrick and the local area with much better service. As a side note, some empty tables were not clean (despite already being cleared of dishes) when we arrived and we had to search around for a clean one to begin with. If I'd have been on my own I'd have asked for a refund and left well before we were eventually served. But, my daughter didn't want a fuss and wanted to wait longer, so we persevered even though we ended up very late. Overall, far from a positive experience. Not sure what went wrong as their reviews normally read better. Complete shambles for us though. The place seemed to be overwhelmed with delivery or collection orders or something which seemed to trump the dine-ins completely. Majority of staff were completely disinterested in us, unfortunately.

The food and speed of service were fine. The staff seem pleasant in their interactions with other staff but is there a policy that staff should not smile at customers? Really cold as well but can't be too hard on them for that because of the current cost of heating. Leaving now ...

My family was visiting Northern Ireland from the U.S. We loved this restaurant so much that we visited this restaurant twice during our visit. It’s very family friendly, the food is delicious, and the service is great.

Had lunch for three people. The food was very good and I have no complaints about that. However I noticed that the tables and chairs were rather dirty. Our table was very sticky with dried food particles sticking on the sides. I noticed that most of the metal chairs in the place had dirty finger marks down the backs and sides which looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Not very hygienic. We won't be back.

Have to wait a long long time to be served - I mean around 45min for a toastie as 1 person making. They had 4 people behind the counter yet could not keep up with service. Tea and coffee coming at different times to food and have to take a number to get a traybake and a coffee. Think they need to seriously rethink how they get faster at service for sit in and take out. From reading the most recent tripadvisor reviews this level of service is common.

Creed is the only place I order from/visit. Their menu is varied, reasonably priced, big portions, fresh, quality ingredients and a big bonus for me is they offer a big selection of smoothies and milkshakes 😊. Very easy to pay. They also cater for dietary requirements and when requesting any changes in the additional notes, they do take notice unlike some other cafés. A**** 👌

The picture tells you how good it was. 2 scones cherry and a raspberry and white chocolate heated with real butter and 2 lattes. Absolutey beautiful I would definitely recommend Creed to anyone. *****
