The best restaurants serving Indian food in Scotland

Order a take away from this place that arrived in 2 hours. During this time I've made multiple attempts to get some explanation from the restaurant about why my order was late. Been given various excuses and when the food finally arrived, we couldn't eat it, extremely spicy( was described as mild) and lacking in flavour. Sent an email about this and I was ignored. Shocking level of customer service. If you want value for your hard earned money, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

The best Indian food in Edinburgh. Fresh and a burst of flavor at normal prices. The restaurant has a nice modern atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful. At the end of the Royal Mile, on a side street off the High Street on Cannongate, so very centrally located. The Indian Kobra beer is also recommended.

Muy mal servicio. Llegó a tomar la orden de comida y luego pidió la orden de bebida. Arrancador y la red se unieron lo que significa que la red se enfría mientras comimos el entrante. Mesas demasiado pequeñas. Pedí pollo con mantequilla que era muy picante con poca salsa y se parecía exactamente a mis hysbands Pollo tikka masala. Muy pobre nunca volverá. Muy caro para lo que tienes. Vinimos por mis maridos 60 en septiembre del año pasado y fue encantador totalmente diferente. Personal muy atento pero no en esta visita. Fue una visita para la celebración de nuestro aniversario de bodas. Pobre show. No impresionado

Ordered food from this place at 1938 and was quoted delivery time of 40 - 50 minutes. Food still had not arrived at 2127 so called and was told would be leaving in 2 minutes! It is now 2146 and have still not received order. Raging! Food still not arrived at 2218. Called again they said sorry we are short of drivers but it's on it's way now! Really! It never did arrive

Good food very tasty. However our currys were slightly on the cold side. Nice interior and decent price.

The worst takeaway ever. 2 hrs 15 mins from order to delivery. Tried to cancel when I realised the restaurant was just taking folks money without having the capacity to meet their own timescales. I will never be back. So disappointing as have heard good things, but obviously not for delivery. The person on end of phone kept saying it was with the driver for a hour! Wouldn’t be surprised as it was cold. Will go back to Shergrills, Ruby’s and Red Tiffin who have nicer food that tends to come in 25 mins. Avoid unless you order well before you want it.

We had visited Cafe Kisimul some 6 years ago when walking Hebridean Way and were really looking forward to taking our respective wives there. I'm sure they thought we were exaggerating that there was a really good "Indian" restaurant on Barra. Neither we, nor they, were disappointed. However if you want to try the place for yourselves yo may have to wait until Spring 2025 as I believe they close for the winter season. Friendly staff, busy so reservation recommended. Probably essential

Was here last night with meet up curry club, meal was amazing and great value also service was first class and Ian event host was fantastic at welcoming everyone and taking time to chat with everyone, had a great night great food and great company 😊⭐️
