The best restaurants in Scotland

Very fun night out for us all. The staff were excellent and the food was great! Loved the whole experience. Also got to try 3 new beers you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else in Glasgow. The mead was the best I've ever had.

Popped in for a takeaway coffee. Wished I’d had time to stop and eat. This is a very funky place. Coffee was great and the staff friendly. Liked like great cakes.

I love this café. Great menu, tasty food, and friendly staff. I was studying with a couple of friends and they were more than happy for us to be there, which is unusual for cafes who usually try kicking you out if you have a laptop. I had the granola bowl which was so tasty and great value for money. I will be back soon

Imagine you come back by train to stirling after a long day in edinburgh. Tired, grumpy and hungry walking through the streets. All you want is a coffee from unorthodox roasters. But the place is closed and the vinyl shop beside also. Then you meet a guy walking to his car and saying „how are you?“. You have a little chat about coffee and other things, ending with a present (grinded coffee) to take home to germany. Happens only in stirling, scotland, in front of unorthodox roasters. The guy we met was Neil, the owner of the place (unorthodox roasters), who reopened his place just to give us this present to save our day! Unbelievable! Thank you so much, my friend, we enjoyed the coffee a few minutes ago back home in germany freshly made with our little espresso maker! Can't recommend Mibbies Aye highly enough. Great friendly service and the best rolls around! Sneaked in a few cakes as well as they all looked so good. Great coffee to wash it all down. Got to give this place a try if your in the Hamilton area!

This was our second visit to Gardenstown. Last time we just had coffee and cake in this lovely café. We stopped for lunch this time and enjoyed delicious soup. For such an out of the way village, this café is always busy. It’s well worth a visit.

Lovely wee pub, nicely decorated and very clean. We were in Lochgilphead on holiday, wish we had found this pub sooner as it serves delicious food and staff were very friendly and helpful. Try it, it’s great.

3rd visit and we will be back, lovely food, service and atmosphere. My husband had the sticky toffee pannacotta and said.. That was truly yummy and Paul Hollywood Handshake worthy!!!

Went back today after it being a while since we had been. More great chat about jam making and great service. Had lovely soup and toastie. Really recommend dropping in if you are in the area.

Fantastic brunch, arrived during a very bust spell, staff stayed cheerful and friendly and we got seated within 10 mins, I had Turkish egg and they were very good and very spice, Hubby had the black pudding skillet he said it was very good again something was spicy, the sourdough bread was a star. We also had a sweet treat each, myself a black forest doughnut this was amazing and hubby on the recommendation of another customer had the carrot cake this was also amazing we both also had a coffee each. I definitely recommend rain, for friendly staff, delicious well priced food and lovely atmosphere.

Cannot fault the pizza - it’s delicious! Nice staff and a good service. Loses a few stars as it’s not dependable. Don’t get yourself excited for a pizza takeaway in Crieff as good chance it’ll be closed. Devastating. Closed more than it’s open.

What a gem of a Cafe! My wife and I have been to this Cafe a few times and on each occasion have been delighted with the service and excellent tasty food. We have tried the soups, casserole, muffins, brownies and sandwiches which are all absolutely delicious 😋 Nicola, James and Elsie are superb hosts and provide a Cafe with charm, friendly atmosphere and great fare 🙏👍😃

Ate here on a recent trip to Crieff, having heard lots about this restaurant, all very good & it exceeded my expectations. I chose a scallop & prawn starter and then a barley mushroom risotto Both were delicious, the risotto essentially. Dessert was a lime panacotta with a berry compote, which again was delicious. We had a bottle of organic Tempranillo, which was perfectly described on the wine list. The device was quick, professional & friendly without being too much. We will definitely return & highly recommended this to anyone who finds themselves in Crieff but want a taste of Europe

Just visited the Cow and Parrot for lunch with my husband and 2 dogs. The place is very relaxed and welcoming and the food was delicious. I would certainly return and would recommend a visit.
