I really like a subway, but unfortunately this one isn't very good. The food is the same as always, but it's the service, it's incredibly slow. When we went in my daughter commented on the length of the queue. I thought nothing of it but I wish I did. We queued for over 20 minutes, the longest ever in a subway until we finally got served. What followed was incredibly poor service, and I really do hate saying that. I understand people are not robots, but it was terrible. My son's sandwich kept getting moved from the counter to somewhere underneath without any explanation. The person serving us kept having to move it back up only for someone else to move it down again. Strange behaviour. I ordered a Furious chicken and asked for it to come without cucumber but she kept trying to put cucumber on it. When we were finally served we decided not to make it a meal deal just to get out of there. I saw just eat and deliveroo drivers cancelling orders and walking out. Won't be back.

I don't normally leave reviews, however on this occasion it was a must. I was in Glasgow visiting family members I hadn't seen in a long time. Whilst in the city centre I came across Pepes, we thought we would try it, well I was impressed by the food and the presentation and staff. I was approached by a soft spoken fellow who asked how everything was, turned out he knew of the city I was from Leeds, I found him to be friendly and easy to speak to, later on, I asked to see the gentleman again to say how positive my experience was, the other staff member said he was the owner and had left to visit the other stores he owned, I was taken back, there was a rolls royce convertable parked around the corner, I commented on how lovely the car was, he agreed but never said it was his, his staff told me it was his car, they liked working there because the owner treated them well and was a very understanding employer, he was so humble, I could tell he really had a passion for his product. Prices have gone up everywhere, however when the place food and staff are that good I don't mind paying extra for that quality of food and the great experience we had. We will definitely visit Pepes again when we are next in Glasgow. I will try and post a picture.

Decided to have a takeaway lunch. Popped into Marinis for Fish Suppers. Was not disappointed as the lunch time specials price was very tempting. The Fish was massive, chunky flakey with great batter and really the best cooked fish I have ever had. Chips were also on point, fluffy and crisp. Staff welcoming.

Chopstix Noodle Bar is a solid choice for a quick and casual meal if you're craving Asian-inspired fast food. The menu offers a good variety of noodle and rice boxes with popular toppings like Sweet & Sour Chicken, Katsu Curry, and Caramel Drizzle Chicken. The portion sizes are decent for the price, and the service is usually quick, making it a convenient option for a lunch break or a snack while shopping. That said, the food quality can be hit or miss. Some dishes, like the caramel chicken, are flavorful and well-seasoned, while others can feel a bit greasy or lacking in depth. The noodles themselves sometimes come off as overcooked or under-seasoned. If you're expecting authentic Asian cuisine, this might not be the best place—but for a fast and filling bite, it does the job. Overall, it's a decent grab-and-go spot, but not necessarily a must-visit unless you're specifically looking for quick, familiar flavors.
