Mcdonald's Restaurants in Edinburgh, City of

We used this McDonald’s as our go to breakfast during our trip to Edinburgh and can’t fault it, usually I rate all McDonald’s the same but this one never skipped a beat, normally always find something wrong but the food was always so fresh and hot unlike other McDonald’s where your order is usually wrong half the time.

It's a macdonalds food is tasty service is slow

Staff at drive through can’t tell the different between bacon and sausage. I guess you have to be a nugget to sell them.

Good McD location, busy but always up to scratch.

Normal McD food but App didnt work so experienced a fair delay in ordering.

Customer service is awful. Refused to take my order and instead insisted I serve myself. Update = still the same problem if paying with cash. Other than that it's a reasonable McDonald's

McDonald's don't know the difference between a large and small when it comes to fries

sorry but waiting nearly 2 and half hours for my food to arrive , stone cold !! couldn't get a refund from mcdonalds or just eat who said I'd have to pay 100 percent of the order to cancel my freezing cold stale food that was clearly made ages ago , soggy chicken nuggets , cheese hard like bricks . delivery time a joke two kids disappointed really really bad do not order online from this McDonald's or just eat

Pretty much always gets it wrong. Double check your orders before driving away. Or sit in. UPDATE: Don't bother sitting in. No clewn tables, had to clear and ask for a cloth to clean it ourselves. Floor was manky and predictably enough, made a dogs dinner of the order.

The litter in the surrounding carpark is atrocious . Management needs to get this sorted .Disgusting . God knows what tourists think .

Really disappointed. I’m staying at the hotel next door and my food is cold when I get to my room. Literally 30 second walk. Missing items from my order so had to return to the restaurant. Even colder food on my return. This isn’t the first time I’ve been disappointed with this restaurant. Unfortunately my choices are limited. Won’t be making this mistake again though.

Absolutely awful every time we make the mistake of coming here. The orders are never correct; missing sauce on burgers, missing nuggets in the sharebox, flat syrup stuff instead of fizzy juice. Utter abysmal. Couldn’t run a bath never mind a Maccies.

Ordered at 4 pm arrived at 7 pm, food was cold. Mc donalds said was fault of no delivery guy from just eat available. So disappointing

Ordered Philly cheese stack meal - looks like it was thrown burger split in half and freezing cold chips also the same cold and very over cooked McCrispy - same again freezing cold and chips over cooked Happy meal - freezing cold and chips were the same Only thing good was the drinks and that's no hard to get wrong. Will not come here again

food is very very cold. the restaurant kept on changing and pushing the hours of delivery further. unbelievable never ordering again

I was delivered the wrong order

horrible driver didnt find right address rather than looking sat in car only got my food as i went looking for him foods basically freezing by time i got it

Waited 15 minutes for a drive through breakfast before having to leave without it . Ended up having to leave without it or being late for work-no refund . Horrendous service.

Worst fries I've ever had, unfortunately I'd driven away and then opened the bag to discover soft, soggy chips. Won't be going back there in a hurry 😔

We went to eat at McDonald's and got what we expected. Food with a taste we know, fast service and a nice and helpful staff.

Wow. Delivery time is well over 2 hours. Ordered food at 16:45, and its now estimated to deliver at 19:15 - the delivery time just keeps getting later and later. Won’t be using this again. Totally ridiculous.

Unbelievable. Delivery time was 3 hours! No way to cancel order or get refund or access any kind of customer service whatsoever. Deleting this app, definitely not using again.

Food showing as delivered, but never arrived. Ended up going to takeaway myself. Delivered time is 2 hours and 25 minutes after order time.

The food and service was excellent the best McDonald's that I have been to got the new double big mac and it tasted amazing plus a portion of chicken mcnuggets and they were freshly cooked 😋😋😋😋😋

Time of delivery kept getting later and later. phoned restaurant after order has been confirmed then it was a further half hour before a driver was assigned to deliver. food not warm and had to heat up once received.

ordered at 9.21pm didn't receive it till 11.01 the food was cold & delivery guy couldn't find my address. Will never use just eat app again.

Well over an hour late, half the order was someone else's but there was no point trying to get it changed and wait another 1.5 hours. Won't be ordering McDonald's via Justeat again.

Food took over an hour to get here when I could have walked there and back with food in less than 30 minutes. Not the best quality and food was barely warm when arrived. No surprise though as McDonald’s food isn’t really suitable for delivery

Never warm food! ,can never get order correct either! And when complain get told nothing we can do have to call our offices, or Uber if ordered via McDonald’s app Needs to be shut down with the dirty mess everywhere stale chips & burgers left on the floor in front of fryers etc Management clearly has no idea how to run a fast food restaurant and should be ashamed to run somewhere dirtier than plublic toilets

Despite the small number of people, we waited a very long time for the order. It definitely wasn't a fast food place.

Almost every time we order from this drive-through, there's something missing. This time, they forgot to put in an entire McSpicy. Of course, this being a drive through, we only discover this theft (because that's what it is) when we get home and then there is no way to actually get our food as there is no way to prove that you DIDN'T receive something. To add insult to injury, someone went completely nuts with the deep fryer today and everything was burnt.

Food never arrived after stating on the tracker that it had been delivered ... do not use this mcdonalds the just eat drivers clearly dont know the area very well or were just hungry

2 burgers looked like someone poked there fingers in them. and one chicken burger had no bun. I mean really McDonald's why has your food quality done down hill. it use to be made with love but now it's like there is no care

Staff get the order wrong time after time

Took far too long to deliver. Wouldn’t have placed the order had I known how long it would take

Chips are usually filled halfway and are unsalted. Long waiting times even when the restaurant isn’t busy. Almost always forget or give you the wrong sauces. It’s a shame as some of the staff are great and are clearly trying hard but the overall standard is one of the lowest I’ve experienced.

Normal food for a McD's and really friendly staff. Toilets were grim though and need cleaning properly.

Over two hours for delivery from less than a mile away. Ordered a veggie burger meal, milkshake and fish burger. Drinks arrived nice and cold, food arrived warm(ish). Except for my fries which didn't arrive at all. I understand that McDonalds is garbage junk food but, sometimes you're just in the mood for that. However, not worth trying to have it delivered. Which probably isn't a bad thing really.

Staff were helpful and quick at sending food out. The food was made fresh The restaurant was clean and kids friendly with a play area to keep the kids entertained.

once again took one hour 15 mins to arrive , once again missing items , this time the Oreo mcflurry . last order was my chicken big Mac , order before was a chicken wrap missing so last 3 orders have had missing items and because I've complained so many times to just eat they won't refund me , so what do we do ?we've called your store U say nothing U can o it's with just eat , but it's your taff who at this point seems deliberitly forgetting to put items into our orders . it's not on.

Visited at lunchtime , wasn't overly busy. Some of the worst fries I've ever had from a McDonalds. Tepid dried out cardboard is how I'd describe them. The burger however was perfectly fine.

They didnt give me the receipt or the fries when i returned back manager said i was lying and i need to pay if i want to have one.

Didn't get the right order and stuff was missing. The drinks were rank too, not sure how they managed that. Avoid if possible.

Food was fresh and still warm, well-made burger and nothing missing in the order. Delivered within estimated time, arrived a fraction over 30 minutes. From reading other reviews I must have been lucky or improvements have been made. Thanks.

delivery times are getting worse and worse , ordered today at 8.30 still nothing at 9.44 and estimated 10.45 , ridiculously long , each times it's taken nearly hour n half upwards , so I cancelled today's order

in the drive thru the girl had the window closed on us, made eye contact about four times before opening the window after about ten minutes and asking us to park up. when we got the chicken mac (no lettuce) it had barely anything on it. we went back around and spoke to the manager, i was really polite and said i didn’t mean to be a bother and i hate doing this (i have previously worked in mcdonald’s) i showed him the burger and he took it away. he returned a minute later without the burger basically telling me that for future reference “thats how it comes”. i understand customers can be a pain but that was unnecessary, i explained i’ve worked in mcdonald’s and i know you don’t only get cheese and a DROP of sauce on a chicken big mac (i was way more polite than i should’ve been about this unnecessary comment) he proceeded to slam the window on us and come back with an attitude. as we pulled away getting dirty looks from staff and hearing giggling i opened the burger to a MESS. drenched in sauce and i counted 16 pickles. i just wanted my big mac mate x

1.5 hour wait so far for delivery just another hour to go according to app, don't think I'll bother with another delivery again.

Went into the drive thru this evening order and payed on the app all went through successfully and we headed to the first window to make sure everything was ok and the worker just had there back towards us so we thought we were all good so drove to the 2nd window to be told the payment didn’t go through and to go back round and pay bare in mind if the worker decided to actually pay attention to the customers we wouldn’t of had this problem and we questioned why she didn’t say anything and her excuse was I was taking another order which was all lies and she’s wasn’t even speaking!

Read the reviews, but thought I would see for myself, food came 90minutes later chicken and chips frozen cold.

Could have been better and one very annoying member of staff hovering to close being nice wanting to make conversation but sorry too close and too annoying 3 times in 10 minutes. Just met me eat my food while you don't stand so close while I order, while I wait, while I ate. Some staff need to give the uniform a wash!

Just wanted 2 coffees the shop was not busy and staff seamed to be doing nothing and I had to wait for a while and I was the only one in the queue

Atmosphere is what it is, a fast food joint. Not much to be expected. Certainly kept clean enough most of the time. Staff are very friendly when chatting or being served but tend to ignore you when you're at the counter and have to shout over to get someone's attention but always very apologetic. I think they assume anyone near the counter is waiting for their order though. Not to take away from as I said very friendly, helpful smiley despite being busy or under pressure. Keep their cool and seem to thrive in it and always happy to help. Some of the staff stand out as exceptional customer service provider's and that should be noted. Service always with a smile. The food is good. Hot and fresh. Never had any issues. Kudos to the chefs 👍 . Asset to the mcdonalds chain and a far cry from the awful stories you hear about makes this mcdonalds head n shoulders above other branches. Give em a wee Christmas bonus 😉 Recent add. Staff very resilient to the awful attitude they get from some of the "entitled generation" these days. Whatever happened to manners. Kids don't say thank you anymore. I don't know how the staff put up with it. Give them an easter bonus.

Dependable good value tasty and fresh

Was given a half filled mango smoothie and when asked for a full one i was given the same smoothie with water added. She slammed it down on my table and stormed off and started laughing with another colleague whilst staring at me. Brunette tall girl working at 8pm 5/03 horrible attitude 0 customer service skills whatsoever.

Awful. I've been here a few times. Again tonight, wrong meal given, food stale and tasteless and juice tasteless also and mostly carbonated water. Service sloppy, hence the order wrong and had to reverse to pay because nobody was there in the first place. Rotten

Wow the shift manager EBONY needs to go and have managers training. Spent £25 on food and drinks I asked her “can the cream be put on last” her reply was yes . Not even 5 mins after food was brought out the cream completely melted. I took up and said I asked you to put cream on after and you said it was . It was completely melted. I asked for the cream to be done and she said “it’s melted” and then said I’ll just refund you. WOW . Come all the way from Cornwall and to be spoken to like this is absolutely disgusting.

I arrived at McDonald's and by its surprised with its clean vibrant atmosphere I went to the used toilet facilities And was disappointed by the gentleman's toilet being smelly and wet floors more checks we could help this? However was greeted by a lovely lady called Sam who helped me use the other technology machine I ordered my third smoothie she explained every step Sam was a lovely & cheerful employee and a credit to McDonald's staff! she explained that I didn't have to pay by card as not clear to customers and it should be a sign for up explaining this that you can pay by cash if you wish but I think you do this to discourage cash payments Is this true? I ordered a bacon McDouble and milkshake and coffee absolutely lovely just what I needed for my busy day a head driving taxis kind regards Mr Ewen Macdonald

Ordered a delivery in the app at 10:45pm, bearing in mind that they shut at 12am i assumed that OVER AN HOUR would be enough time to make a couple meals for my family. NUH UH apparently if you want a couple meals delivered at 11pm youre gonna have to order hours in advance. Absolutely raging, will probably order again tho cuz im fat xoxo

Sceptical about their service. Collect cones up after least 5 minutes before your food is ready. Suspect someone is massaging their internal stats. Delivery food was not kept hot while waiting on a driver. Sat for ages. And the meal was average at best. Served by a manager without a smile.
