Pepe's piri piri in Glasgow City

En realidad pedimos desde una sucursal diferente más cerca de nosotros, pero cambiaron a un reemplazo a 5 millas de distancia. Cuando llegó ya habíamos comido ya que no teníamos fe en que llegara cuando el dijo como ya habían mentido 3 veces antes. Hacía frío, así que en la papelera se fue. Evitar a toda costa. Ahora viene la lucha por recuperar nuestro dinero. Ninguno de estos lugares o aplicaciones le permite cancelar cuando fallan. Totalmente inaceptable.

Is the 5th time they forgot adding all the items I called they said cannot help and I should order again 50£ waist and just eat wouldn't compensate so avoid ordering from them

Had a horrible experience at the Woodland Road branch of PEPES. The cashier was unprofessional, and the entire staff seemed completely disorganized. The food was very disappointing—poor quality, bland, and lacking any spice. To make matters worse, I found a hair in the chicken burger I ordered. It’s clear that hygiene is not a priority here. This place definitely deserves a one-star rating. I would recommend avoiding it at all costs.

The chicken tinders smelled and had no sauce on them the rice was hard and the chicken wings where raw also everything was cold and they forgot the dip very disappointed strongly recommend ordering elsewhere

Came in ordered food takeaway.... although the rice boxes was good. The burger we ordered for our child was rock solid and not edible when we got home..... giving our experience a 1 star as we told the guy behind the counter we wanted a burger for a child.... won't be back

The best pepe in Glasgow, i had experience in others pepe but this one the no 1 in term of taste. Nice people as well.

I got the chicken nachos. And I’m wishing I would’ve got the hot sauce on them instead because I got sweet chili and it was just kind of a random flavor concoction. That’s my bad but my nachos were cold. The garlic sauce that I got was a bit watery. The fries were amazing though hot fresh and crispy and the portions are really nice. The service was absolutely incredible and I would go back. They also packaged my meal perfectly and gave me napkins and silverware and everything the way that I needed.

The food is good and very filling but the only thing which bothers me is the cleanliness and hygiene situation of the shop. Every time I go for an evening snack/dinner the place is always dirty and makes you feel uncomfortable. I always prefer take away compared to dining. Overall a once in a month place but can work on hygiene massively.

Shocking. My neice ordered a chicken burger from Here on 24/12/23 she got food poisoning from here she woke up Christmas Day vomiting and severe diohrea. Missed her family Christmas as she’s been bedridden since Xmas eve and she still is on 27/12/23 . Told the shop Who apologised and refused a refund but offered her the exact same meal Free of charge. ? No She refused it ,don’t think she’ll eat from here again. Really bad customer service. I will be contacting the environmental health

They were out of the option i wanted I was over charged I was given mayo despite specifically requesting no mayo.

I’ve been going Pepe’s for a while and yesterday was the biggest disappointment from service to food, yesterday for the first time in my entire life I couldn’t finish my burger that’s how bad it was. Very disappointed. And when I told the staff his reply was “that’s how it comes”

I've ordered food on deliveroo they took ages to deliver the food (more than 1hr 30 minutes of time). At the end I cancelled the order - Deliveroo has credited my money back, due to that incident I stopped ordering food from this outlet.

It seems they play russian roulette with the orders they hand out to just eat etc very angry and disappointed that i now have to email just eat for my own money back which i spent in good faith. How very silly of me i know. So there'll be no more custom from me and my just eat account will be put in the bin alongside it.

Me and my partner order from here on uber eats and the service from uber eats was appalling, a delivery driver telling us to come and collect our food? Not only this when we finally got it there was hairs in my partners chicken and rice box absolutely revolting and very disappointing to say the least! We have contacted pepes multiple times asking for help to resolve the matter and nothing they gave us was helpful. Uber eats is just as bad no help for refunds in an easy matter, Do not recommend at all.

Order a quesadilla aswell as a chicken XL menu with peri peri sauce and it came about 20£. The burger was a joke, it had nothing XL about it, probably only the box that came in, and the chicken inside was as thin as my phone, really bad. The good side is that the fries that came with it where delicious as well as the chicken quesadilla which felt like more of a meal than the burger, that’s the only reason I give me more than a one star

I usually order from this pepes a lot, SERVICE has went downhill waited over 2 hours for a cold meal. When I say stale I mean the food was stale as if it’s been reheated and if this shop continues running business like this then I’m sorry to say customers are going to be lost including myself I don’t expect the food to be piping hot and I would not blame the delivery drivers as there’s no reason to justify why my food was delivered in a stale condition! I’m never the type to leave a bad review but in this case I’ve been left with no choice

came here for lunch whilst at work. food looks good on menu but definitely not the same in person. First of all very overpriced! I had the chick n rice box which was 90% rice 10% chicken. I ordered the mild spice and it was too spicy to even eat would hate to see the extreme. chicken was cooked okay but nothing special and had a weird taste, Everyone raves about the garlic mayo from here but it really isn't nice at all extremely watered down was disgusting definitely wouldn't be back

WORST PEPES IN AND AROUND GLASGOW!! Avoid at all costs as we will now be. 1 in 5 times is the average of them getting our order correct. We spend £50 each order and ask for a few changes to certain meals almost EVERYTIME i arrive home 14 miles away and they have gotten the order wrong. The staff in this shop when i call to complain are always very hostile and in denial of the situation. Tonight, again my order was wrong they had to then remake the order taking up more of our time. This month over £400 has been spent in this store alone and this is the kind of service that is received. Atrocious! They refuse to give you their names or any contact information of a general/area manager. STAY AWAY unless you have a spare half hour each time you go so they can correct your order.

My sons have been bragging how good this place is so my hubby and I decided to try , we just got chicken wings and fries and omg the chicken just fell off bone it was so juicy and fries wer lovely too so as soon as we got home we ordered a big takeaway for family and everyone couldn’t believe how tasty it was, by far the best takeaway in Glasgow 🙌🏽🤤

The food here is absolutely delicious and the staff members are very attentive and friendly. This place is much nicer than Nandos. Try the chicken wings, they are always cooked to perfection and so flavourful. I'd suggest going for the hot version if it's your first time trying Pepes but extra hot is also delicious. Piri fries are also phenomenal.

Let down today by the service. By the look and blatant staring that we got for being a mixed race couple by the two girls behind the desk. They couldn’t even hide there expression as both were not wearing a mask and then to top it off we got advised after driving over to collect our meal it was cash only. I arrived with Apple Pay like most people and my husband was told he could use the cash machine. Should the girl who took our order not have advised us of this before she rudely hung up the phone? The attitude of the girl who took our order and the eye rolling was appalling. She then proceeded to call me names from behind the desk and her ‘colleague/friend’ jokingly advised her to watch her language. Maybe don’t do customer service? The girl at the desk on the 4.12.22 at 6.30pm, needs to go. Regardless if she is a family member filling in a job her behaviour is disgusting. I am extremely concerned. How is no masks and cash only preventing the spread of covid? Including chef behind cooking with no mask on. So that’s a total of 3 staff members working, none with masks on including the customer facing girl. The amount of grubby fingerprints on the door that we had to touch as we came on was disgusting. I am really, really concerned about my visit today and recommend to others to thoroughly wash and gel hands after leaving this place. The only good thing, chicken tasted good. Is it worth me catching covid and getting called names? I don’t think so.

Amazing ! Nando’s haven’t been that good or reliable lately so we tried this place. It’s better tasting and priced even gave a wee call in to say to the staff how good it was. Well worth giving this place a try and be converted like we are.

Had my first ever pepe’s today after being recommended by a friend. The chicken rice I received was genuinely vile and the portion size of chips was a complete joke. Finishing the food would’ve been torturous. Only person I’d recommend this pepe’s to would be somebody looking to kill off anyone they’re associated with.

Driving through Glasgow this place was open so stopped here. The staff were very friendly. However the mango and lime burger was just bland. Disappointing.

Just at the weekend, me and my friends attended Pepe’s for a takeaway, not only were we disgusted by the food but also felt disrespected on a personal level. We ordered via Uber Eats for pick up and came to the door to collect it. The young man serving me and my friends could not have had any worse customer service, talking so quietly to me and my friends and then goes onto become impatient with us as we could not hear him. He was the height of disrespect and if the boss could’ve seen his manors, he would’ve been sacked on the spot, customer service is a huge part of a business, and Pepe’s have clearly missed this memo. Beyond disgusting and beyond terrible service, I WILL NEVER BE BACK!

Placed an order over the phone. The girl on the phone very unprofessional when placing order you feel very rushed and don’t understand what she saying and speaking to fast on the phone. Food was nice

I decided to order Pepe’s for the first time. When it arrived, I saw that half of my drink has spilled out with only half it in. I also asked to get garlic sauce on the wrap but it was drenched in it to the point I couldn’t eat it. Overall, the food was cold and not enjoyable. I’m quite disappointed in the meal because i didn’t even eat it.

Lazy staff. Asked them to put some peri peri salt in my garlic mayo and they said i wasn't allowed it for some strange reason. So yous can cover the chips with peri salt but can't add a tiny bit to the mayo?

I visited Pepe's yesterday for the first time yesterday and was so excited in doing so after this particular Pepe's was highly recommended to me. The first time I ever tried Pepe's Piri Piri chicken was three weeks ago and I couldn't wait for my family to try it as it tasted so good. Unfortunately my experience has been utterly disgraceful. On approaching the service counter it was a young lady who took my order. Her face had a scowl on it and her attitude in serving me was the exact same. She clearly was in a bad mood and didn't want to be there and serving customers and let everyone know it. But alas, when two attractive young men came in she quickly brightened her face, smile and demeanor then after they left returned to being a grump. A young tall broad man rudely told me to wait at the side for my order. I thought, ok, maybe everyone in here is having a bad day or its just the general attitude of the staff who work in here. I received my order, drove home to my family as even though I'd had a horrible customer service experience I knew the tasty food was going to make up for it! Did it? No, it dam well didn't 😡😡!! I opened the packaging, divided up the chicken, wings etc and as we sat down and began eating our 'peri peri' chicken it was bloody well curry??!!! 😡😡😡😡😡 If I had wanted to eat chicken curry, I would've stayed at home and ordered it. I am so DAM ANGRY that you cooked and gave me curry chicken instead of peri peri chicken that I ordered. How dare you mess with someone's food like that and I've kept the evidence to take and show to another Pepe's shop! How dare you!!! How dam well dare you!! None of us ate it and you ruined our dinner!! Disgraceful, utterly disgraceful that you did this!!! I will NEVER return here and I WILL be telling as many people as I know so that they avoid coming in here and having the same horrific experience. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
