Bought fish supper and single white pudding yes nice big portions of greasy over cooked food straight in to bin prefer quality not quantity never go back

Went in for a sit down late lunch and had fish and chips. Overnight both of us were ill which lasted for two days all through Christmas. The taste of burnt oil kept coming back. It couldn’t have been anything else as we didn’t have anything else to eat afterwards. A dreadful experience and we definitely will not be going back.

We went in for ice creams with our grandson, I asked if we could sit in and were told by the young girl this would be perfectly fine. However when just about to sit down we were approached by a staff member telling us quitr abruptly that we could only sit down if we were having something to eat. I told her that I had asked specifically If we could sit in and was told that this would be alright. We were then told that she would go and check. On her return she told us that the girl had not undestood me. Now I guess the girl was local, as we are, so communication was not the issue. I was just about to tell the staff member to keep the ice creams and give me my money back when she had a complete turn around and told us it was ok to sit in. If Marinis want to encourage returning customers this is not the way to go about it. Whilst there, there was only one more customer and no others arrived. This is one not returning customer. Rotten experience.

Absolutely terrible food - there was hardly any fish underneath the coating and the fries were dry and rubber-like. After a few bites we had to throw away everything.

We went here today for a takeaway lunch. I ordered a chicken burger and all I got was a chicken patty, so I questioned why there was no bun and they told me their chicken burgers don’t come with buns and I had to pay extra for it. Awful service!

Excellent takeaway fish supper - the haddock was soft and flaky, perfectly cooked. And a good selection of ice creams too. Good value.

Had a fish supper from here 6 weeks ago and it was okay . Went back today and bought a large fish supper . It was rotten . Bone dry fish with burnt greasy batter . Chips were poor as well . I maybe got them in a bad day but it was busy so the fish should been fresh. Sadly will not be returning .

Visited here today with my wife. It was cold and driech outside so we decided to sit in. We both had the standard battered haddock and chips and it was delicious. The fish was fresh, batter was crispy and chips cooked to perfection. We finished up sharing a banana split which was excellent. The young waitress was cheery, welcoming and always smiling. Would highly recommend.

Great sit in restaurant and not too busy at 7pm on a Saturday. Breaded and battered haddock was excellent. Had with mushy peas, and bread and butter. Plus large pot of tea.

Definitely not to usual high standard obviously been cooked and kept in the hot hold far to long. Unfortunately my black pudding was dried up rubber. I had been looking forward my dinner from here all day

The fish and chips are the best in the area - by a long way. The are consistently superb. The service in the restaurant was quick and efficient and our waitress was very pleasant and polite. Overall a good experience again

We have visited regularly at lunchtime for several years but after our latest experience will be going elsewhere in future. Service was diabolical!!! We sat for approximately 15 minutes before being attended to. The waitress was clueless ,asking what we wanted on an ad hoc basis over a long period of time, eg white/brown bread then later breaded/battered fish. The standard of food has also fallen by the wayside with our chips undercooked and the fish tasteless. The ketchup from the bottle on the table was pink and flavourless. Prices have inevitably increased which we understand but standards have fallen so far that we will not be returning.
