Lovely Coffee shop,Really friendly atmosphere with a great selection of food and tatsy cakes on offer.I visit here often, It's not only a friendly comfortable,clean place to sit in, Gillian the owner has a wide range of delicious fresh homemade food and cakes to suit many dietary requirements. Most importantly its all great value for money and very affordable. Can't recommend this Gem of a place enough.Highly recommend the soup and empire biscuits 👌 Bakes By Gillian Coffee Shop ☕️🍰

Love to pop in for breakfast or lunch but today was just collecting some amazing cakes , honestly I haven’t tasted better in my life ! I also use Gillian for special occasions as the whole family love her birthday cakes . Can’t recommend highly enough

Lovely quaint cafe, staff welcoming. Had a floured roll and bacon with a coffee. Was pleasent and coffee went down well, Lovely blend 👌

Gillian’s makes the best French toast! All baking is homemade and delicious soup, sandwiches, hot rolls etc served at very reasonably prices by friendly efficient staff. Definitely worth a visit

I regularly visit bakes by Gillian for breakfast & lunch, great selection of food and amazing cakes, Gillian and her staff are friendly & welcoming, if you live in or near the village in cumbernauld give bakes by Gillian a visit you won’t be disappointed

I'm a regular visitor to gillians coffee shop. I can honestly say that I've never had a bad meal. Portions are very generous and note is taken of your requests and they aim to please. Staff are friendly and so attentive. Oh and did I say how delicious the cakes are? My personal favourites are the iced ginger bread and the gluten free lemon drizzle... yummmmm

Visited several times for breakfast catch up with friend. The staff are always lovely and polite. The place is clean and welcoming if a little uninspiring. The menu is typical cafe fare but always hot though theres been a few times it seems they are new to this sort of thing. Scrambled eggs on toast came with the toast on the side, on another occasion we asked for french toast with bacon and syrup but it was very boring. Another time we asked for a jug of water for the table and was presented with a tiny milk jug. However they always aim to please, their cakes are amazingly fresh and they also make to order celebration cakes which have looked so beautiful - very talented cake decorator !!

Conveniently situated close to the Black Bull. Free parking nearby. Excellent quality freshly cooked breakfast. Opened 9am and quickly served up a full breakfast.

Ive visited Bakes by Gillian on several occasions now. The shop is warm and welcoming and most importantly family friendly. It sells a wide variety of food and delicious cakes. The staff are always happy to chat to there customers. The shop is spotlessly clean and covid friendly. If your after a cuppa and a cake or a bite to eat I highly recommend this place!! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Ive been to Bakes by Gillian regularly. Friendly coffee shop and staff are really helpful. Food is great as is the coffee. The homemade cakes are delicious and a great selection. Always seem to leave with a box for later, cant resist!

I have been eating and drinking from this establishment since it re opened..food is of excellent quality, staff are welcoming and helpful, premises are immaculate....her home baking is exquisite..a tasty and varied range.with the Mars bar cheesecake as the star of the show, i highly recommend gillians, best place in the villiage

Gillian is the unfriendliest owner/host and needs to learnt to crack a smike. I had high hopes and was looking forwards to this place opening. Coffee was pretty decent, roll was overpriced and average. Shop was freezing with the windows completely condensated. Musty smell from either toilets/damp. Cakes looked great but after the unfriendly service I didn't hang about to try. Only saving grace was the younger staff member who at least summoned a smile. Left a review on Facebook which has now been deleted and I've been blocked from page, clearly doesn't like constructive criticism. Won't last.
