We have a delicious afternoon tea at The Snug today. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing. Lots of thought is put into the afternoon tea with a great choices of sandwiches, yummy homemade sausage roll, scone and lots of delicious sweet treats. I would highly recommend this just make sure to book in advance because obviously this needs to be prepared. Excellent value for money. Great atmosphere too.

This wee cafe was an amazing experience to go to, just moving into alves I decided to go and see how it was. As i entered the doors I was instantly greeted with smiles and taken to a table. Then I ordered a wee breakfast and some orange juice, when I say the orange juice was good, it was amazing. The music in the background was also fitting and was quite relaxing. The breakfast was amazing also completely filling me up. If anything, the butter I was given was overly melted but that is really nothing to worry about. I will be back thank you for the amazing service

We have been regulars for over a year, attended events, had a birthday party, had lunch, evening meals, take aways, and have always been made very welcome and eaten great food, including the cakes. We are a mix of vegetarian / vegan / gluten free and Phil chat's with us about what we'd like and makes us 'specials' which is wonderful. We particularly like the butternut squash risotto and home made vegetarian burgers. We recommend The Snug if you are looking for a family friendly experience, comfortable place, with great staff.

We had booked the afternoon tea with Santa. Unfortunately we had to have one of our horses put to sleep on the morning of the event. Our kids still wanted to go so we turned up very late (having phoned to explain what was happening) and were greeted with friendly staff. The whole team provided a fantastic festive environment while being sympathetic to our grief, and didn't rush us out at the advertised finishing time. Santa and Olaf were both great as well and the added bonus was that the food also tasted delicious! We'll definitely be back!

We didn’t have a booking but the restaurant fitted us in which we really appreciated. We were not disappointed the food was exceptional and so was the service. The menu is small, but perfect. We all ordered a different main course and none of us were disappointed. I have a starter again, beautiful and the rest of the party a dessert again fantastic. The complimentary soup was a nice touch too. It was the first evening of our stay and it could not have been any better. A really great restaurant. Thank you.

On our holiday in Glenelg we popped into this cafe, which is popular with both locals and visitors. We only had coffee, but the food on offer looked very tasty. The owner was very friendly and helpful. There is ample parking nearby. Overall a nice place for a snack. Highly recommend.
