Great all-day breakfast burrito, an imaginative combination of tofu cheese and avocado, with Spinach and tomatoes. Haven't tried other dishes yet but look forward to that!

The Culture Cafe is a fantastic place to eat as the food is creative, delicious and served by lovely, friendly staff. I usually have the Breakfast Burrito with a choice of salad (which is not just washed out lettuce, half a tomato and a slice of cucumber) you can actually taste each of the ingredients and the combinations are perfect, I love the Kale salad. The drinks (whether coffees, teas etc) are equally as creative and the London Fog is (to me) a hug in a mug. Long may this excellent cafe remain open even with all the challenges such individual businesses face today - well done ladies.

Tolles kleines, veganes Café im Zentrum von Inverness. Der Kaffee ist enorm geschmackvoll und die Speisen (wir hatten Tofu Scramble und einmal Avocado Toast) äusserst lecker.

Lovely freshly made healthy nutritious delicious food. Not a processed sausage in sight I’m happy to report. Had the scrambled tofu, perfectly seasoned and a juice. Will be back before I leave Inverness. Staff are just the right level of attentive. Friendly, informal, welcoming.

From NZ tourists: The best coffee! My first try of a coconut/ oat milk flat white. Delicious!! Our vegan meals were super tasty. ( and we are typically meat eaters) and the staff very lovely. So glad we were recommended this place to try.

As a confirmed, old guy, meat eater, the vegan dishes at Culture were amazing to me. Delicious, texturally correct, and mouth watering. The tofu scramble on toast was so delicious I had to inquire how it was made. I WILL be adding this to my repertoire. The staff were friendly, efficient, and very happy to share their skills with me. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, thoughtful and (most importantly) delicious vegan food. They're always speedy and attentive, especially for the takeaway orders. They offer free water with fruit/veg which is a nice touch. Very sweet, cosy atmosphere. I'd recommend their arancini and spiced apple cake especially!

An excellent selection of plant based options. The Scotch Broth soup of the day was delicious. The selection platter for one was a great way to try more than one thing for the indecisive. Friendly, cheery service and a great asset for the Highlands. You should be rightly proud of your creations. Thank you for making vegan dining a celebration and not a limitation.

Culture Cafe & Deli filled the gap for a vegan place in Inverness but it doesn't overtly market itself as such and has something for everyone. Since they make their own vegan cheese they are able to offer some unique sandwiches, and the vegan cheese is by far the best one I've ever had! Sometimes they sell it in the deli too. They also have sweet options including doughnuts from Perk and a massive choice of hot drinks. Best of all, Ella (the owner) and her staff are always friendly, welcoming and have made the cafe into a lovely, comfortable environment. Long live Culture Cafe!!!

Excellent food and a lovely atmosphere! It might be vegan food, but it's certainly not just for vegans, but for anyone who appreciates tasty fresh food and great service!

Not just a vegan/plant based café, this has probably the tastiest and by far the most nutritional food in Inverness! The Culture Café has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff and management are wonderful. The music is spot on (great vibes, not too loud or too quiet); the decor is calm and pleasant; everything else is either great or way above average. The food and drink on offer is thoughtful and complimentary - it's not just random stuff like a lot of cafés. Some of the best salads I've ever had, incredible vegan cheeses, a really nice selection of cakes, incredible breakfast burritos, really delicious sandwiches. There are always new items on the deli counter, and they are always excellent. Eating here will not just be a lovely experience: it will also be good for you! Everything feels healthy and satisfying. The portions are spot on, too. I could go on forever. The place is understandably busy, but it is well worth waiting if you have to; you could always walk along the river or go to Leakey's bookshop while you wait! I wish there were more places that could combine great flavours with nutritionally balanced ingredients. I hope the Culture Café gets the others to up their game!

I stop by this new cafe-deli at least a couple of times per week. Decor is lovely, staff are always welcoming, even when it's very busy. There are seats outside, and space for groups of up to 6 to sit together. The coffee is a class act, and they do the most authentic chai latte ever, alongside lots of drinks that you can only get in here like reishi hot chocolate. Everything is plant-based but most people I see in here are not vegan- just loving the food. They have changing deli items like wild rice and pecan salad, loaaads of amazing sourdough toasties, and the breakfast burrito is incredible. Cakes are made by local suppliers and are always amazing, and they stock pastries from the vegan bay baker in Aberdeen! Inverness has really needed this place! So glad to finally have a regular breakfast and lunch spot that serves fresh, creative, healthy and delicious food.

We stayed at Taigh Ailean for our trip to Skye. We also had the opportunity to eat dinner there (Breakfast was included with our stay.) The dinner was so delicious! The view is lovely as you can see the loch from the windows of the bar. All the staff is fantastic and so friendly! I had a great dinner and I would describe it, but the menu changes to suit what is in season and available from the sea. Whatever you get, I guarantee it will be the best! Make sure you call ahead and get a reservation as it fills up quickly. I know that they also have live music, which would be great, but we didn't have any while we were there.

Agree with the other reviews. This is an unlikely place to find at the end of the world. We felt welcomed and in the main enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the cost for the 2 of us. £200 for a snack, breakfast, plate of curry and a bunkhouse bed with no shower and a outside toilet seemed breathtaking expensive. To put this into perspective, we go to a nice hotel each year for a winter break, that's more than we pay per day at the hotel with vastly more civilized amenities. I do understand there are logistics involved at Cape wrath. However for an 'ordinary' local Scottish person I'd be looking to stay at sandwood bay and make a lunch trip to the cafe as I simply can't justify the cost/value. However, it is altogether improbably situated and a must experience if you are doing a long walk. Just be prepae your expectations.

Your restaurant came highly recommended and the food and wine was absolutely superb. Unfortunately this is where the great experience ended as we have never been made to feel so uncomfortable in a restaurant by the people serving us, to the point that we couldn't wait to pay the bill and leave! We were the first table in the evening at 5pm and were seated right by the bar but we struggled to get eye contact with the staff who were either chatting behind the bar or staring into space. At no point did they ask us if everything was ok or if we wanted another drink. We tried to engage them in some chatter when they served us but to no avail. I don't know if in someway we offended them but we really could not work out what we had done wrong to be treated this way. Unfortunately we will not be returning, which is a shame as the food is excellent. Fortunately our evening was not completely spoiled as a visit to the local community centre in Nairn found us invited to a Ceilidh and a very warm welcome and fun evening.
