Lovely fresh food and very tasty. Pakora was lovely and poppadoms crispy. Just one wee fault..we ordered a lamb and a chicken dish but we got two chicken, no lamb. The restaurant was very apologetic and have offered us a free lamb dish next time! Great customer service! Thank you Green Gates!

The food was amazing also we loved how they made the day special for us. It was my wife’s birthday and i really appreciate the effort done by the team to make it for us. And we still cannot forget the taste of food we had.

The Indian cuisine was well prepared and nicely seasoned. Delicious! We were looking for a place that was fairly close to the airport and easy to get to and found it. Green Gates was a yummy surprise and had lots of free parking. It came with a complementary tomato soup. It is a place that is enjoyed by locals who know its value and return often. We had plenty leftovers because the portions were substantial. We highly recommend Green Gate's Restaurant.

Visited Green Gate Indian restaurant in Renfrew with family on Friday and what a find. Fantastic food with real Indian flavours and great prices. The ambience and service was spot on too….will definitely visit again…. Thank you Green Gate Renfrew…..

This time, we finally found an authentic Indian restaurant that truly captures the real taste of Indian spices. The food is incredibly fresh, delicious, and genuinely authentic. The ambiance is very welcoming, and the behavior of every staff member is humble and courteous. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and will definitely come back again. However, do keep in mind that the service is a bit slow, so make sure you have ample time when you visit.

Food was absolutely amazing, the service was brilliant. Had a great night, 6 of us eating. I had the mixed tandoori, and loved it.

Came here for my brothers 21st birthday last night, incredibly welcome atmosphere from all the staff, food was excellent and everyone was very happy with the quality of the food. Awesome wee hidden gem, definitely recommend a visit and will be back

I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant multiple times, as it offers an abundance of authentic desi flavors, particularly those reminiscent of a typical Delhi eatery..Chef Tarun and the team provide exceptional care to their guests, enquiring about any desired modifications to the dishes and skill fully tailoring them to individual preferences. During my visit with friends, we savoured their genuine butter chicken,Daal makhni,naan and biryani. along with the excellent selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian starters.

We went to green gate Renfrew with 2 of our USA visitors Amazing food. Starters were very tasty. Portions are huge. I ordered Bindi curry. Every dish was very nice. Kulfi was excellent. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent staff. Very friendly and attentive and understood our needs. Place is spotless. Just like going for a meal with family. I would love to take my family there. 15 minutes drive from Glasgow

First & last time to order. Curry tub was half full. Curry was tasteless. Veg pakora undercooked.

Went to the Green Gates in Renfrew after it being recommended by friends. Had the absolute best Indian food we've had in a long time. Service was perfect, everyone was so friendly & the menu was varied to suit all tastes & prices were family friendly as is the restaurant. A small cup of beautiful complementary cream of mushroom soup was served to us before our starter & was delicious. Will definitely be back!

I know Green Gates in Stirling so it was good to discover the same owner now has Green Gates in Renfrew just by the ferry. The food was absolutely delicious. And the service was attentive, courteous and friendly. We were there for my father in law's 86th birthday. The youngest member of our party of nine was four years old. All had an excellent evening. Highly recommended.

Being a vegetarian, finding good food choices is a bit hard. But at Green Gates, they have such a well curated vegetarian menu. Absolutely loved the paneer tikka shashlik and malai kofta is a must try!!!

The food from here is always fresh and tastes great. My favourite takeaway and the staff are also friendly.

They did not have a lunch menu as photos show. No one was there on a Sunday afternoon, the only diners. Pakora sauce tasted and looked like burger relish. Spiced onions were poor. Main was ok, garlic naan the highlight but extremely disappointed.

Hate to say, but we were in green gates a long time ago, and toilets weren’t clean at all, plus dead blue flies on their window display, that had been there for ages, as I pass it about 3 times a week with dog. Maybe it’s changed hands for the better.

Our visit to green gates was anything but disappointing. The staff were very polite and friendly on arrival and throughout the evening. They have an excellent menu and we were both delighted with our choices, in particular their haggis pakora was fab. Portion sizes were generous which meant we had to ask for a doggy bag. If you have never had Indian kulfi I can recommend their home made pistachio kulfi. One of the best I have tasted. We both had beautiful food with excellent service .

Probs as close as your getting to a homemade Indian curry to be honest. Lamb always tender and good amount with it - if was any less in there i’d be disappointed, no flavour sacrifice at all, garlic nan beautiful, veg pakoras when done right are quality. Green gates is a rare find.

First time eating here, the food was fantastic. Service exceptional. We commented on the very light and tasty nan bread, we were invited to the kitchen to see the process. The chef told us that dough is prepared freshly every day. These guy’s over and above, you will not be disappointed.

This has to be one of the best takeaways we have ever had! Food is so fresh, cooked to perfection and full of taste. The lamb would melt in your mouth! This will be our new takeaway from now on! Thank you so much for such an amazing meal!

To start delivery took over an hour, the masala was shocking, chicken pakoras are so dry it’s like eating battered sand. The pathia was like a 6 year olds attempt at a Chinese sweet n sour chicken.

We went for our little boys first birthday party and we really had a gala time. Right from decorations to catering everything was well planned and managed.The food tasted great too .I highly recommend this place for close family gatherings or for small parties.

We recently celebrated my son’s birthday at Green Gates Indian Restaurant, and it was an incredible experience! The authentic Indian food was outstanding – from starters like Aaloo Tikki and Soya Chaap to main courses like Butter Paneer, Veg Kofta, Veg Biryani, and desserts like Moong Dal Halwa, Gulabjamun and Rose Lassi – everything was delicious and full of flavor. The spacious layout allowed us to host a kids' entertainer, making it a fun and comfortable event for everyone. A special thanks to Tarun ji, the owner, who went above and beyond to make the day stress-free. The staff worked seamlessly with our private decorator to create a perfect private party. First time here at the weekend and wow, food was delicious, the service was amazing and even the atmosphere was great while they had a celebration happening.

This was a return visit (we've been coming here regularily for the last 4 years) for a family dinner which was excellent as usual! As well as delicious, authentic food the staff are very friendly and smiley, going the extra mile to provide great service. Fantastic butter chicken and crispy, charred garlic nans to die for but everything we have tried is clearly freshly made and all delicious. Can't recommend highly enough!

As a family, we decided to do something different for Christmas 2024. We went to Green Gates for Christmas lunch and it did not disappoint. From the start to the end, we had fantastic service. The choice of dishes was good and the food was amazing. The restaurant was very accommodating on making a special dish for a person with specific allergies. If there was any negative, it would be that there was too much food. It was a very pleasant experience going to Green Gates for Christmas lunch. As a family, we are looking at booking it again for Christmas 2025.

Had a lovely experience at Green Gates Renfrew last night, where we were greeted with a delicious complimentary soup. Service was polite and all the preparations were great and totally authentic (loved the soya chap, kurkuri bhindi, garlic naan and kadhai paneer). Tarun is thoughtful and makes efforts to ensure that every guest leaves with satisfaction. Definitely my go to place when I'm craving Indian comfort food!

We recently visited Green Gates Renfrew on two occasions and it was such a delightful experience! They have a welcoming ambience and a lovely staff!!! What I look for in a restaurant is flavourful food, great staff and a welcoming ambience and more importantly, consistency in all these three factors that will determine our future visits and this restaurant has ticked all the boxes both times. Will be a shame if I don't leave a review of this amazing restaurant that has left us mighty impressed. They have such diverse options for vegetarians. I was told they can make anything off the menu too - just need a heads-up a few days ahead. A special mention about Payal who beams with high energy and recommended me to eat Soya Chaap and Tandoori Momos which I had not tried ever before, and I must thank her for these great recommendations. I loved both dishes so much that makes me want to again! Also, Bharati was the lady who made sure our food was delivered on time and promptly fulfilled all our requests. Verdict: It is a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian food in a comfortable setting. I’d highly recommend it for family dinners or a casual night out with friends. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try more dishes!

The Korma Ceylonese was perfect. Could really taste the coconut flavour in the sauce which I'm a huge fan of. The lamb was wonderful and very tender. The Mixed Parkora was a variety of delicious tastes!
