The Phat Bhuna in Renfrewshire

75% of the time, the food is brilliant. The atmosphere and staff are always pleasant. The only recommendation I would offer would be that occasionally, the quality of the food slips. So try to maintain the quality! But we'll worth trying.

Waited 2 hours for a delivery had company in my house and everyone went home hungry abso terrible service horrible attitude from so called manager I asked if she could guarantee Me the half hour she said i would be waiting after the 2 hours i already waited she told me she will just cancel my order. Friends had the same attitude I had off her as well. Abso no people skills . Won't be using phat bhuna cambuslang again !

That was bar none! the worst tandoori mixed grill i have ever tried smallest portion of chicken and lamb ever !! The curry sauce tasted like lentil soup the nann bread was cold and the meat was dry as a bone ! Pakora ?? Tasteless !! Whole lot went in the bin total waste of £20 . Would advise people to take your custom elsewhere !

Chick pea Dhansac was the nicest Indian dish I think I’ve ever had in a restaurant Unlike the onion bhaji which I was so disappointed with Why are they flat , they should be all fluffy Everything else was amazing 👍

Food was really good. Management should work on the service attitude of a guy who will be standing at the bar counter who shows zero interest in the job or serving or replying to customers. Maybe doesn’t reply to Asians properly? As this happened twice in the last 2 weeks.

Went to Phat Bhuna for lunch £8.95 it comes on a thali, metal tray with metal bowls containing all the food. It comprises; veg pakora, the curry (I had the lamb saag), boiled rice, pakora sauce, poppadom, spiced onion, daal, raita, small salad. Good quality saag plenty of tender lamb. Naan bread £3.95 extra. Service very good. Filled to the brim I now look like a phar bhuda.

Went for the good value pre-theatre menu last night, had the poppadoms, the chicken and the vegetable pakora and 2 curries plus rice and nan to share. Decor is lovely, rich teal colours. Real linen napkins are a nice touch. Food was tasty and service was friendly and efficient. There was plenty of melt in the mouth chicken in my mughlai korma. It was all going so well until the bill arrived and we'd been charged £7 for poppadoms, spiced onion, mango chutney and pickle?!!!! This is very steep. They are all priced separately, so if you're only interested in the spiced onions, just say so!

From service to food a faultless experience . I even almost finished it which I rarely do. I wish I lived closer to The Phat Bhuna.

My husband, my brother and I went here for the first time and had the best Indian food to date. The atmosphere and decor was comfortable as the lighting was very relaxing. Overall we had a wonderful experience accompanied by excellent service. Would recommend to those who want to enjoy a peaceful and delicious dinner for good value.

The lunch thali is great value at £8.95 The lamb saag and lamb bhuna were very tasty and good portion size. We ordered naan too which was excellent. Great service. Will definitely recommend.

Amazing place, thali lunch is unbeatable for price and quality. I have been going for years now usually at least once a fortnight. The best curry's I've ever had, garlic naan is incredible. Also if you go for dinner get the prawn butterfly to start 🤌

Food was excellent, restaurant was frozen, I was glad when they brought out the hot plates to put inside my jacket to heat us up. It was that cold they brought out more heated plates to serve the food on. They had radiators, but chose to use a to bar heater to heat up a restaurant about half the size of a 5 a side picth. Even the waitress was standing in front of it. She did come around often, her service was very good. I would go back, only if I didn't have to sit with my jacket on to eat my food.

First time here for lunch. Great food and service. Feels like a proper indian restaurant. Food presented very nicely. Quite full afterwards. Would definitely recommend.

Was given £50 of vouchers for Anniversary end of July. Husband had been unwell and unable to go out, when we tried to go we seen that vouchers had expiry date of 3 months from purchase. My husband phoned to explain as we get take away from here regularly and have eaten in as well, the speeding he spoke to was extremely rude and when asked for Manager he said he was the manager as the owner was on holiday. Really bad customer service from somewhere where we have spent a lot of money over the years.

Honestly never disappoints! Everytime I come here or order a takeaway it's 10/10. Couldn't recommend it enough, every just tastes amazing, high quality fresh ingredients.

Overnight before an early flight from Glasgow airport. Not a huge choice in Paisley but can recommend this restaurant. Stand out welcome and service and super tasty food at a reasonable price. Will def be back.

One of a party if 11 on Xmas day. Food was fabulous. Service good and a lovely relaxing atmosphere unlike most Xmas day dinners. Even gave us Santa hats to wear! Well worth the money, hopefully back again next xmas. (Hopefully before that!)

The food here is fabulous, cooked to perfection and so tasty, I will definitely be returning, I do not stay in Paisley but I would travel again to go here. Staff very nice also, and lovely decor and atmosphere.

Love the food here and the location. HOWEVER My friend purchased £100 of gift vouchers in July for my wife as a gift. We booked a table for Saturday 11th November (Steele) and was told the vouchers had expired. Hadn’t noticed a 3 month life. Most vouchers are 6/12 months so unexpected. Called tonight and told tough luck. No longer valid. No flexibility. So booking for 6 cancelled and future business. Shame. 2 stars cos the food is 5 stars. 😢

Cannot comment on atmosphere as only a take-away customer but the table area looked clean, pleasant and welcoming. I did not order food ahead; just at the counter but it was ready very quickly. Generous helpings, very tasty and generally good quality all round. First visit but I will be back.

Absolute scammers. If there's an issue with the food they don't fix it. The first twice I ordered garlic and cheese nan. They had no cheese on them. The third time I had ordered garlic nan and there was no garlic on it despite being charged an extra £1.50 for garlic. I phoned the shop and the owner insisted it had garlic butter on it. I told him that my husband and I are professional chefs and have been for many years. I would be able to taste and smell garlic if it had been on the nan bread. The food was FREEZING cold. The restaurant offered to send a garlic nan out to me by which point the rest of the food was even colder so I had to eat my curry with no rice and no nan. This is 3 times I've had an issue and the attitude of the restaurant is stinking.

It may be unfair but on a Tuesday night the place was pretty dead and is often the case now the staff are trying to get you out the door tout suite. Possibilya different experience at the weekend.

We went in for the Thalia lunch and found the food delicious 😋. The starter and main is served on the same silver salva with many individual small bowls. The chicken was so tender and we ordered a naan to share. It was to die for. So fresh and tasty. Loved it.

Little wait, lots of choice, the dishes are plentiful and delicious. Vegetarian option possible but large choice of different meats. The place is pleasant and well decorated. The servers are top notch and attentive. Nothing to say. top

Top quality Indian food. Very reasonably priced compared to similar Glasgow venues and service was very prompt and polite. Only minor gripe was bags of just eat food left sitting on adjacent table for driver didn’t improve what was other wise a nicely bustling atmosphere

First time dining here. We had the pre-theatre menu for £15.99 per head. Everthing from the starter to the main course, service and atmosphere were absolutely spot on. Best curry we've had for years. Would give 6 stars!!. Definitely going back!!

The food is superb and worth the visit

The staff member who dealt with us had zero customer services skills and didn't take the time to listen to our complaint. Despite being prepared to pay for what we had consumed the staff member called the police and alleged we were refusing to pay our bill, stating we had eaten all the chicken dishes we sent back. We had went to enjoy a thali lunch however our experience was one of harassment, intimidation and humiliation. We ordered 3 thali plates, 2 all chicken the 3rd with haggis and lamb. The chicken pakora was pink in the middle, which put us off eating the chicken wings, and the other 2 dishes that contained chicken (korma and chasni). We had also asked at the time of placing the order that the curries be made mild so that our toddler could have some of all the dishes, we purposefully made this request as on a previous visit the lamb sag was very spicy. Although despite our request the korma which should be a mild dish tasted spicy to 2 adults who enjoy spicy food, so no good for our toddler. The sag dish had also not been made to order meaning 2 out of the 3 of our party couldn't eat that dish either. When asked if everything was ok we advised the staff member that it wasn't and tried to raise all the issues we had experienced. However the staff member merely took off with the korma dish without hearing us out and when he returned put the dish on the table and walked off. He could see we weren't happy and we weren't eating our food and came back over again to ask if everything was ok. Again we tried to raise all the issues but the staff member kept cutting us off and didn't allow us to speak. He just kept insisting the korma dish wasnt spicy as if there was no other issues we'd raised. Finally when he did recognise some of our complaint regarding the pakora he tried to state that we had in fact ate the chicken pakora because there was only 1 piece left on the thali plate but failed to take note that the rest of it was in an additional bowl we had asked for to put food in for the toddler. Our toddler by this time was starting to get tired and it was nearing their nap time. We too were tired of being spoke to in a disrespectful manner and not wishing to argue about the situation we just asked the staff member to take the food away. He then accused us of merely sending the food back because we had ordered too much food, as it was his opinion that 3 plates of food was too much for 2 adults and a toddler. All that we had eaten was a small piece of garlic nan, some haggis pakora and half of the lamb sag with some rice between the 3 of us. The other dishes were tasted and not eaten yet the staff member expected full payment for all the food we had ordered. On leaving we tried to speak to them and explained we were happy to pay for what we had consumed but refused to pay for what we had sent back. The situation escalated into an arguement and the staff member called the police accusing us of refusing to pay for any of our bill. We felt held hostage, we wished to pay and leave but couldn't because of their outrageous accusations. After a good 20 minutes of trying to get the matter resolved and the member of staff denying us the opportunity to speak to the police on the phone, we throw down the money for the drink and 1 thali plate on the bar and left. Once in the car we called 101 to give our account of the situation to safeguard ourselves from the police coming to our home, as they had taken pictures and/or videos of us and our car. NEVER EVER have we experienced such a traumatic and humiliating ordeal. The only recommendation I would make about  this establishment now is to AVOID as you too potentially risk the same treatment if you are dissatisfied with their food, as their customer services is absolutely shocking!!!

Had a takeaway from here based on recommendations from friends and colleagues. Very disappointed. Food was well below par. Reasonably priced but really not worth it. Had set meal for 2

Friendly staff, better than average Indian scran. Atmosphere scores average despite a Monday night visit in lashing rain, and being in Paisley - visiting on a more lively night would no doubt improve matters, but nothing can be done about being in Paisley.

I used to like this restaurant & it's a shame because the food is good but must make people aware that if you add a tip for the driver online, the driver does not get it!! The owner's keep it so please tip your driver directly because it's not the culture we expect from a reputable establishment. If you earn it you deserve it.

Visited for pre theatre today. There was only one other table occupied when we arrived. We both ordered chicken chatt for starters which was delicious. I had chicken korma and my husband ordered south Indian garlic chilli and paid the £4 supplement for king prawns. My meal was lovely, no complaints but the prawns in my husband's dish were difficult to cut, overcooked, rubbery and tasteless. I would guess they were not fresh and had been defrosted in a microwave then added to the dish. My husband complained and the manager came over and explained the prawns were fresh today and had been prepared in the tandoori oven. My husband explained he couldn't eat them but the manager did not offer to replace the dish and we were charged the supplement on our bill. This was only removed when my husband challenged the manager about the cost. It was disappointing as the rest of the meal was excellent. We would return but certainly cannot recommend paying the extra for king prawns.

The Phat Bhuna has quickly become a regular go-to stop for me in the Paisley area, with their Indian cuisine being incredibly flavoursome with a fantastic depth of flavour at this price point. Their generous portions and welcoming staff are nothing to scoff at either be it at their bar for take-out or at the table for lunch/dinner. Overall a good pick if you're not looking to leave the paisley area.

Had a vey nice meal here, was with friends for a catch up and had a traditional indian meal served on an individual platter. Portions were good and sufficient for one, good variety of choices, staff were very helpful and food was served promptly

Dissapointed with curry a creamy tikia masla which they serve with peppers really !! The curry wasnt creamy more coucnut and salty have to say need have a word with you chef , stay clear from this place standards have slipped , any take away curry would be better . Customer service rotten why would you add peppers if it to be creamy . More like teying save on chicken cost

Fabulous restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. It was busy when we visited but we were welcomed, served, and food and drinks brought quickly. Food was very tasty, with gppd sized portions and we felt good value for money.

My daughter and I visited the restaurant on 18/03/23. The staff were very curteous nothing was to much trouble and the service was great. The food was absolutely amazing! Pakoras to start and 2 curries plus chips, Nan and rice. Fabulous. I highly recommend visiting here.

Where to start?? We had christmas day dinner at the Phat bhuna....OMG it was the best christmas day dinner me & my family have ever had, from start to finish....the staff were so welcoming & service was superb...the extra touches...the food was AMAZING with quality...

Have just been unceremoniously put out of the restaurant having barely finished our meal. We were told curtly that the next booking was there waiting for our table. When asked why, we were informed to leave, as alloted time for meal was 90 minutes. No time for a tea or coffee. We were not informed of the time restraints when booking, had we known we would not have booked as 90 minutes is not sufficient time to enjoy a meal with friends at christmas. Unfortunately this is the second time this has happened at this restaurant and we will not be back. Dissapointed as it spoiled our day.

4/5 only based on not being able to give atmosphere a 5, although I will point out this is outwith the control of the restaurant as most people seem to get takeaway from here

Fantastic lunch at a great price. Arguably the best Indian lunch for the money in the west of Scotland. Highly recommend.

Even on a really busy day the staff are welcoming and the food is beautiful. Never a long wait for a takeaway. Love this place.
