Great service, great food and value for money.

Food is good but I've ordered here twice in the last 6 months and both times it's taken over 1.5 hours to deliver. One time had to phone twice to check up on the order and it ended up taking well over 2 hours. It's only 10-15 mins away.

Fantastic food and attentive staff.

Went for lunch but chose from the a la carte menu.. Food was delicious. Will be back soon.

Every time we visit our Glasgow cousins ( we live in Norfolk) we have a set menu lunch at the Spice Garden 😀. The curry is so tasty, the side dish choice is excellent and the price is very affordable. Its always our favourite Glasgow meal now. Thank you for the kind service and advice from the staff.

Got a takeaway, absolutely brilliant food. Came back two days in a row. Price very reasonable for two people. Will be using this place from now on.

Waited ages to be served 7 people milling around but took ages to be asked for my takeaway order . Got the food home chicken bhuna had a very mediocre taste to it the pakora was burnt the best thing to say about my meal was the nan bread was good so was the pilau rice needless to say first impressions this will be my last visit .

On behalf of all my family members, the service was excellent. The food was excellent, and I, would recommend that if, you like, spicy, food, along with, vegan food, prepared to the highest quality, this is the place to eat. Superb.

I will not be back. I have had take out meals before, but I was very disappointed this time. Pakora was stodgy and the naan bread is the poorest I have ever had. Hardly any king prawns in the curry. Not good value for money

ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A PLACE!! Delivered me food 1 hour and a half wait for the food the Pizza came freezing so I think that made the pizza after I called then had it sitting the whole time but the other food were warm so I don’t understand. Called them and they agreed to make another pizza and send it out would be around 30 mins, still waiting over an hour I understand they were busy but if there is a complaint then it should have been sorted. After over an hours wait called over 50 times to get a hold of them to see what was happening and they guy was no help at all instead of giving me the pizza they offered to give me credit for the next time. “Next time” there will absolutely be no NEXT TIME!!! The first and last time I will call this please there food was terrible anyway from what we could actually eat that was warm!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Went for the buffet starters and main course were good but when we went for the sweet they said they were out of fruit grapes and melon and we offered a cut up apple 🍎 and orange 🍊 which was poor selection

Have not had a good takeaway like this in a long long time and cannot believe this is my first time trying food from here but it definitely won’t be the last!! There butter chicken was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection aswell as being hugeee portion sizes! I got a side of spiced onions and poppadoms too and there spiced onions were sooo good! Keep up the good work guys and I will most definitely be back.

I’m afraid we can only give this place 2 stars and that’s being generous. We went for the Sunday buffet. I will try and give constructive comments. The food to be fair was ok. Not great but ok. I’m afraid that’s the highlight. Table service was almost non existent. The buffet was chaos. The place was super noisy and the atmosphere unpleasant. The window ledges were covered in dead flies. It makes you think if front of house is so dirty what are the kitchens like? After being seated we waited 20 minutes to be offered a drink. We had to clear our own plates and move them to an empty table in order to start our main course and again to have our desert. We paid £70+ for 4 adults and 1 child with no alcoholic drinks and only 1 soft drink each. If the service had been better, the ambience better, if cleanliness improved and if the buffet wasn’t chaos then it might have been good value. As it was it felt like a waste of money.

Friday night curry doesn't get any better. Tandoori Lamb Chops for starters followed by chicken tikka with a bhutuwa sauce. Tender chicken with a spicy sauce along with a crispy garlic naan - amazing. Great value and the staff are very attentive. The Spice Garden never fails to deliver.

It was quite quiet when I was in but it was a Wednesday. The food was one of the best Indian meals I have had. The staff were very attentive and efficient

Ordered a delivery, once it arrived it had items missing from the order. Took over 30 mins to receive missing items after I contacted to highlight missing items. Ruined a family dinner.

The foid here is fantastic. Fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I will visit again.

This place was recommended to me today ( 1/4). I placed the order online and time to collect ( I didn't want to wait for delivery). I was not disappointed! The food was ready for collection as per order. The food was amazing! Hot and fresh. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back

We took friends there last night. I had never been, but the reviews were favourable. I was not disappointed. The food was amazing and beyond delicious, the presentation was impressive. The staff were lovely, but could have been a little bit more attentive . . Ensuring drinks were kept flowing and table cleared quickly. But overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

Can’t begin to describe how brilliant this place is. Myself and my fiancé are new to the area and discovered this place a couple of months ago. We have had several takeaways from here and keep coming back as the food is delicious and the staff are always friendly and efficient.

Absolutely fantastic. Portions are plentiful and staff lovely and welcoming. All dishes were delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Just pushed India Quay off of 1st place on my fave Indian list.

First visit to this restaurant. Went for the pre theatre menu and it was very good with a good variety of dishes. Chose the lamb madras which had plenty of lamb and a delicious madras sauce. Rice portions were generous and could easily be split between two. Staff were friendly and service was good. Will definitely be back for more and would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Spicy Garden isn't one of our local Indians but it's my mum's favourite. Delivery was quick and pakora and Chasni were delicious.

We really like this restaurant & usually have a takeaway once a month (and coming from Paisley to do so), and we’ve eaten in several times also - including Christmas Day in 2021 and never been disappointed. We booked for a family Christmas Day dinner for 12, but it was a bit disappointing. We arrived to a scene of chaos - groups of smokers standing in the doorway (selfish) , and probably around 15-20 people already waiting to be seated. The restaurant was bursting to the seams, and ultimately I think they’ve just taken too many bookings & could not cope. Our table wasn’t ready until 20 minutes after our booking time and it then took another 20 minutes to get a drinks order taken. 9 of the family were having the buffet, and so could obviously eat anytime - but the 3 eating from the A La Carte menu had to wait a fair bit of time initially for their starters - and didn’t get their mains as the kitchen “lost the order” … not sure how that is possible? It was only after I asked for the bill that the 3 were asked if they wanted dessert … very disappointing service overall. The one thing that saved the meal was the food - as always it was excellent & everyone really enjoyed what they had. When the bill was handed over I noted that our (3-figure sum!) deposit had not been deducted. Again I’m not sure how that could have been possible since a deposit was essential with the booking, and so they must have known it was to come off the bill? We will certainly return for a takeaway in the future as we love the food, but I doubt (sadly) that we will return for Christmas Day dinner due to the disappointing service.

Good was nice but the wait was terrible. We waited half an hour to order the starter's food came out wasn't overly hot, tasted ok! We waited almost an hour to get our mains the rice we waited another 10 minutes after getting the meat & we didn't get what we asked for! Definitely won't be back

Just discovered this restaurant the other day after moving in the area last year its literally on our doorstep , the Staff where really nice and the place was busy , food was lovely I had mushroom pakora too start was so light followed by tandoori chicken tikka and rice with curry sauce. Husband had chicken pakora and chasni curry said was best he's had in a long time. His was from pre theatre menu was really reasonable ,defo be eating here again

The food and staff in this restaurant are truly amazing and a big shout out to the chef’s. The people you don’t very often get to meet but are the most important staff of all. Can’t praise this restaurant enough, that’s why we keep returning, absolute consistency every time.

Had to phone restaurant after 1hr 45mins to see where order was, it had just left. Arrived 15 minutes later. 2hrs in total. Delivery driver rang doorbell, I answered and they decided they were at the wrong door. Went and sat in their car for 5 minutes faffing around before ringing the bell again, having decided that they were at the right door after all . If only I had a big plaque next to my door with my address on it. Got my order. Poppadoms were smashed to smithereens. And the price-£1 for ONE Poppadom. Pure greed. The curry was supposed to be hot (3 x chillies on the menu) it wasn't. Wasn't even as hot as a Madras. The nan bread, which cost £2.75, looked and tasted like one you'd get in a packet at Tesco. Doughy and not much texture to it. £14.25 for a curry and a nan bread. Too dear. The mixed pakora wasn't very well mixed. 3 x small mushroom pakoras, 4 chicken pakoras and about 15 onion bhajis, presumably because they are cheaper to make. The Chicken pakora from here used to be brilliant, it tasted home made, now it feels like the normal mass produced stuff you'd get from a wholesalers. I think the quality of food has gone down, whilst the prices have gone up. It has become a bit run of the mill which is disappointing. I think it's time to try somewhere else, I just hope they are not starting to take their customers for granted.

The food is excellent staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. There is music playing in the background but not too loud so you can hold a conversation with your dining partner without having to shout

The lamb is consistently tender and delicious unlike similar restaurants in Renfrewshire. All food at lunch service is cooked fresh to order. I love a curry, my wife not so much so,and have eaten here several times on my own. The food is delicious (personally love the Spicy Garden lamb curry with “well done” Nan bread) Nice crisp pint of Cobra to complement it. The value at lunchtime is incredible given the quality of food and service. Hopefully the pics speak for themselves.

had lunch in Spicy Gardens 3 courses for just under 8 pounds the food was plentiful and very tasty excellent friendly service too. We have visited befor also went to the Sunday buffet never been let down I would recommend a vist it is well worth while

We live Round the corner from this place, Handy ok for sit inmeal but what we found is they are very miserable on portions of chicken or lamb in curries etc, so the other night we ordered a take away of a pepperoni pizza which was ok, and a large mixed kebab I asked for strictly No Donner meat, so just give extra Shish and chicken, got the carry out back home 4 bits of chicken 3 bits of shish the rest was all bulked out with veg pakora absolutely fuming I phoned and complained he offered free pakora nxt time or 25percent off on my next visit, we won’t be back guy that is the Boss is just so miserable with giving folk meat, so annoyed won’t be back avoid this place

Poor. Maybe because we rocked up at opening time but food choice was limited (chinese/Asian chef doesn't turn up till later) Food seemed hurried and flavourless- a shame as we have eaten there before and enjoyed it

Delicious curries but most places have rice included with the dishes, whereas it’s £2.95 for rice on top of £8.95 for a curry. Also, there were no free poppadoms and spiced onions which we’ve always had elsewhere. It was double the price of a normal takeaway for our family and I’m not sure the value for money was there as much as the curries were really tasty. I feel mixed about this place because we really enjoyed the food but the cost isn’t justifiable unfortunately. I think they should consider including the rice with the dishes and definitely providing free poppadoms and spiced onions as is the norm in every other Indian takeaway we’ve ever had. We also had to wait 30 minutes in the restaurant for our collection.

Best place first time trying highly recommend😍

We've been a few time now and each time the food and service has been brilliant. We found a Nepalese restaurant in York last year and loved it so we were keen to try some closer to home. The momo's are super tasty and any of the Nepalese main courses we've tried have also been excellent. The spiced onions are how we like them, nice and finely chopped and tasty along with the Poppadoms. We've also had the lamb tikka which was superb - nice succulent lamb tikka which was tender and full of flavour, accompanied with a "crispy" garlic Naan - Fantastic. The staff and very helpful and attentive so if you like a good curry and want to try one that's a wee bit different (and better) then get along to the Spicy Garden - you won't be disappointed.

I went determined to try the Nepalese cuisine rather than Indian. Started with the Momo dumplings, great value (6 dumplings)and extremely tasty when dipped in the sauce. For main course I had lamb Thali. The lamb is as tender as I've tasted cooked in a very tasty not too spicy sauce with an aditional bowl of creamed lentils. My partner opted for veg' pakora and an Indian king prawn curry dish which she thoroughly enjoyed. £51 for 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 pints of Cobra and a pint of Coke so really good value. Polite, friendly and attentive staff also. We will def' be back.

After having the buffet on sunday, i can certainly say that this is the best Indian in Johnstone and even in Glasgow area. Food was divine and resonably priced. Best Indian/Nepali meal I have had in years.

First time back after Covid. Still great. Lovely welcoming staff and you absolutely cannot argue with £7.95 for a 3 course lunch. Food is fantastic, tasty and while the lunch portions are smaller than a main meal there is still more than enough!

Fantastic food & reasonably priced

This is our favourite Indian restaurant locally both to eat in and takeaway. Delicious, fabulous quality food which is truly excellent value, and the restaurant is run by really lovely people. Our favourites include South Indian garlic chilli dishes, butter chicken, chicken tikka and lamb bhuna. The naan bread is always gorgeous but is out of this world when you have it in the restaurant.

A group of us had the pre-theatre menu mid-week. Staff really attentive and helpful, food was good and reasonably priced. Was very quiet and we were able to relax and stay for as long as we wished. (Shame for the restaurant though as deserving of more customers)

Sunday buffet attended by 2 of us. Starters were cold. Said to staff brought us some fresh starters to table. Went up for curries and rice and noticed starters still on display. Curries were fine and no complaints. Didn't have a dessert as cheese cake and chocolate cake look as if lying out for ages. Not refrigerated either. Shame as food lovely during the day. Overall bad experience didn't enjoy food.

Great wee India restaurant, food was spot on nice comfy booth seating. Fast and friendly service. Don't seem to understand 16,17 year olds can have alcohol with their meal when ordered by an adult. Which has been law for as long as I can remember.

I go here regularly for lunch, dinner and the Sunday buffet. Always excellent service, fresh tasty food and excellent value for money too.

Restaurant has a bit of a "barn* feel to it. Not really a cosy place but pleasant enough for all that. Staff were polite and attentive. The curry was a bit sweeter than would be expected (I had a balti) but it was perfectly acceptable. Presentation was absolutely perfect - right down to the side salad - and was easily up there with the best I've seen anywhere . Price was about what would be expected. Starter for 2, a couple of curries with nans and a couple of drinks was £50. If you've not tried this particular curry house I would recommend it. It's probably the best in Johnstone and the close surrounding area.

The biryani was outstanding and the service was 1st class are visiting again real soon. Thanks again for a lovely meal

I did rate this until tonight, service shocking! 1.5hrs for pizza and burger that takes less 10minutes to make! Perhaps call customers and let them know your running behind schedule. Most likely will lose my business from now on.

Waiting ages on saturday evening for food, final arrives 1hour 50minutes later and food was nasty! Pizza was cold, chips tasted awful! My chicken was as dry as sand! Avoid!!!!

Id avoid ordering delivery, 2hours to wait to get soggy food thats been sitting for ages! Customer service is so poor! Avoid! Punjabi is much better!!!
