The best restaurants serving Indian food in Scotland

Food was awful very bland. You would always get a good curry out of here but a jar of sauce out the supermarket tastes much better... it has taste... will not be returning... only positive from our meal was the naan bread. It was small but the tastiest part of the meal. Would not recommend 😕

Ordered meal deal 2 x chicken bhuna , what we got was 2 x chicken curries (very watery) as written by them on the containers. Very disappointed as recommended to us by a friend. We won’t order from them again. Mixed pakora was good.

Frequent Indian restaurants in Philadelphia, PA, USA and this establishment was equally as good, if not better. There were five of us and the variety of food orders ranged from Butter Chicken to mixed Kabobs! The portions are large and the bread was delicious. Recommend this place completely!

One of my favourite Indian restaurants, it easily makes it into my top 5 favourites for food. Always have a lovely meal in the restaurant and I also use it for carry out meals which are also excellent. Staff are very helpful and always cheerful.

First time I've been to the Rupali Palace for a takeaway. Very accommodating to my food intolerance. Food nice and hot, chicken tender, very tasty. Owner very friendly and pleasant. Would certainly recommend.

Just today had a takeaway from Shukria Indian Cuisine, and I’m honestly blown away. From starters to mains, everything was packed with flavour and arrived hot, fresh, and beautifully presented. Starters: The Chicken Lollipops were an instant hit—crispy, juicy, and seasoned just right with a spicy kick that made them seriously addictive. The Sheek Kebab was smoky, succulent, and full of those bold, earthy spices that make you crave more. A proper, authentic start. Mains: The Chicken Jalfrezi had the perfect balance of heat and tang, with tender chicken pieces and a rich tomato-based sauce full of peppers and onions. The Lamb Bhuna was a standout—slow-cooked, deeply spiced, and melt-in-the-mouth tender. It had that traditional Bangladeshi touch that you just can’t fake. Sides: The Dal was creamy and comforting with that homestyle, garlicky finish. The Sag Aloo was perfectly cooked—soft potatoes and fresh spinach in a lightly spiced blend that paired well with everything. Rice & Bread: The pilau rice was fragrant and fluffy, and the naan was soft, slightly charred on the edges, and ideal for scooping up every bit of curry. Overall Experience: Shukria absolutely nails that Indian-Bangladeshi fusion—flavourful, generous portions, and consistently well-made dishes. Delivery was on time, the packaging was tidy, and nothing felt greasy or rushed. Highly recommend if you’re craving a top-quality desi meal at home. Rating: 5/5 — Will definitely order again!

Absolutely delicious food, particularly the naan!

We picked up a Tikka Masala, the sauce had no spice, it was like tomato soup, its was awful, the whole lot went in the bin. We will not be back. Took it up with Just Eat and they said no refund, even attached pictures showing it was in the bin.

Best Indian restaurant in all of West Lothian. We have been in just two of us, in large groups, Christmas Day and take away. Each time the service is always great and food lovely. Only Indian restaurant we eat at.

Our meal was so good. Fresh and full of flavour. All staff were professional and friendly. Good advice on chosen dishes given by staff member. Lovely place. Will definitely return.

The food is incredible, and the service is very good. The staff are lovely, so quick at serving and taking orders. The tables are clean, have good condition, and the seats are excellently comfy. Five stars 🌟 🤩 ✨️.

We just ate here this evening and wow what a amazing experience. Not only the food made bij Azaz was world class but for sure the very kind and helpful way Iqbal helpt us was out of this word. We will totally recommend this place to everyone. It is a true gem.

I am disabled which means I am almost completely blind and I also have some walking issues. However I am very independent and like to do things for myself. On the evening my husband and I visited the restaurant I went to the toilet by myself without any problem when I returned to the table one of the waiters came to our table and whispered in my ear as my husband was ordering some drinks “you madam may have one glass of wine with your dinner and no more, I’ve been watching you” we left straight away and I’m outraged and disgusted by this behaviour. Won’t ever return to this place. Very rud3 and ignorant
