Disappointing. Madras and curry with chicken tikka really did not taste nice.

Should have been 45 minutes fir delivery but I’ve now waited 90 minutes the restaurant is now closed and no deliver. I WANT A REFUND this is a restaurant I frequent with a group of 12 people I think I’ll be taking my custom elsewhere

Awesome food and service yet again. Great portion sizes and quality of the chicken was spot on.

Phoned the restaurant twice, the first time I don’t think the restaurant had even started making our food. The second time they were still waiting for a delivery driver. Not sure how long our food had been sitting for before it was delivered.

Food good as always but 1hr 20mins late was horrific. Also got a plain nan not garlic. Was good but due to all this I did not enjoy it as I should have. Money wasted.

First class meal.. we had chicken achari and kerala lamb . Tasty dishes. Excellent presentation and piping hot. Service is excellent always. Love this place. Janetre and john.

I suggest who so ever is eating there thinking as an Indian restaurant should keep there hopes down.All staff are unprofessional there they don’t know about Indian food.

Excellent, delicious food yet again from the Taste of India, Rosyth. THE best Indian food in my opinion. Never fails to deliver quality food every time. Shame I can only give 5 stars! Very highly recommended!

Staff polite and friendly, both starters cold and tasteless, Chicken tikka massala, one portion had only 3 bits of chicken, sauce was nice but the chicken its self was extremely bland. Rice well cooked but tasteless, garlic nan burnt and ineddible

Popped in while passing as heard it was good. Place was very busy but managed to get table, staff all very friendly. Food all excellent, very tasty . We had to wait quite a while for mains and seen other customers query their waiting time - also does takeaway meals and could see this was pretty busy too. Can only assume this was reason for delays. Saying that would recommend and return as food was great

The food here was absolutely delicious and will pretty much be my new favourite Indian from now on! Only disappointment was that the food took over 1hr and 30mins to be delivered and I was only ordering for 1 person, however since it was a Saturday night I’m willing to let this go this time but hopefully in future this improves but the food quality was worth the wait I have to say, absolutely stunning and wasted none!👌

Have ordered from here several times before. Food is always enjoyable but delivery is often hit or miss and when it is bad, it’s usually very late (tonight 45+ minutes later than the scheduled time). Quite frustrating that it seems to be a repeated issue that isn’t getting fixed.

Their Balti is absolutely flavour city. amazing portions, the chicken was perfectly juicy and the veggies were clearly crunchy fresh. their rice is also to die for. 10/10 quality service. ❤️

We were disappointed with the quality of the food, the Korma was very watery and the spice of the North Indian Chilli Garlic was excessively strong.

I've been coming here since opening and always had the best food and service So we thought before going on holiday we would drop in again they decided to change the recipe for a family favourites, and it was terrible. They had to be sent back and left Please go back to the tried a tested recipe you have been using for 30 years

Food very disappointing. Chicken Tikka was a strange yellow colour and didn’t taste like chicken tikka at all. I thought they’d delivered the wrong order but when I called the restaurant they said they’d just changed the colour. Food was bland and I ended up not eating the tikka at all. This isn’t the first time the take away food had been disappointing. For the price they’re charging, it should be much better. Don’t think I’ll be ordering again for a while, if at all.

£10.95 for a Chicken tikka masala. no rice, just half a tub of sauce with 5 bits of chicken in it. total rip off

I am writing to express my disappointment with the dining experience I had at your restaurant on 05/09/24. As a lover of Indian cuisine, I was eager to try your offerings, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Firstly, the quality of the food was well below expectations. The masala lamb was bland and lacked the authentic flavors that are characteristic of Indian cuisine. The dish was cooked with sugar and food coulor. The chicken butter was just sugar and a few pieces of lamb were overly greasy and tasted as though it had been reheated multiple times. Additionally, the naan was stale and again full of sugar. The coconut rice was sickly sweet , the rice was mixed with sugar and coconut. Even though I didn't eat even half of my food I felt sick when I got home. I hope that you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for your future customers. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

We had a lovely lunch today at Taste of India. I went with my sister, niece and mother who is a wheelchair user. The food was delicious and the 2 members of staff that served were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to another visit.

Good menu, friendly and attentive staff, felt food could have been more flavour some. Onion bhaji tasted sweet rather than spicy.

Brilliant food. Update 14/06/24 delicious takeaway tonight then curry was amazing chicken was soft and moist. I love the food here my only negative is the nan breads other places do much better nan bread I don't like them from TOI 19/08/24 once again brilliant food but I just don't like the nan breads from here.

Order was 35 minutes late, restaurant had a shortage of drivers. More spinach than lamb in the curry and not the usual standard of service or food.

From Italy and Spain! We arrived in Scotland yesterday. We were looking for a place to have dinner and we came across this little restaurant. The service was excellent, both the waiter and, I presume, the owner were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The dishes we ate were wonderful, the dishes well presented and tasty. I highly recommend it. Thank you for the excellent evening spent in your restaurant and for your attention.

Super friendly and funny service. Food was great and by far more authentic than in Germany! There were many different flavors and especially the Indian spiciness; at least for the dishes that were also spicy, i.e. if you don't like spicy, there's still enough for you! It looks rather inconspicuous from the outside and inside, but you shouldn't let that fool you! I can only recommend it, especially if you want Indian food that isn't Germanized!

Excellent! Very tasty, I don't know that from Germany. Clear menu, great selection of sauces. Price wise also totally OK. Is really recommended.

Excellent food and heartwarming service. We went here twice in a matter of 4 days during a Scotland tour with family. The staff and the chef went above and beyond to provide us with excellent service even as they were preparing to close for the day. Food was delicious and among the most authentic Indian food I’ve had in the UK! Kudos to the team!

The order was placed @1935 on a Wednesday night and took over an hour to arrive! Chips were awful! Looked a bit Like the end of night food .. disappointing as usually lovely. Won’t order during the week again as it seems to be better quality at the weekend 🤷🏻‍♀️

We had dinner for three people. The starters, main and dessert were lovely. Manish our personal man took care of our needs. We loved this man and make sure when you eat here to ask for Manish.

We stopped by for dinner on our way to the Highlands. Food was great. Manish and Ali were amazing and definitely helped us start our holiday on the right note. Hope to return again.

Really good experience. Chicken Tikka Jhalfrezi was excellent with fresh pops and very nice Naan breads. All piping hot and delivered earlier than expected! Recommended.

Unplanned dinner visit that unearthed a gem! From time of arrival service was great. The menu is varied with some interesting options. We ordered Garlic Chili Lamb, Lashuni Prawn and Naga Lamb alongside some veg sides and bread. All the dishes were tasty, plentiful and thoroughly enjoyed by the table. Looking forward to another visit!

Bit disappointed, thought would give a try from usual place, ordered and paid for garlic nan, plain nan delivered, smaller portions than other I normally use and no complimentary popadoms and chutney! Will definitely be going back to Handi Masala

Ordered lime pickle (and paid for it) which didn’t arrive. Although there was an extra portion of chicken pakora included. It was average at best. Disappointed.

Ordered takeaway here last weekend after several recommendations and was bitterly disappointed. Hands down the worst Indian I have ordered. Korma tasted and looked like blended sweet potato and the Rohan Josh was basically tomato puree and salt. The only good thing I have to say is that the meat used is of a good quality. Have been advised to give them another shot but doubt il be back given the price vs quality i received.

Great meal and service.We went there on Mother's Day.All of the staff went above and beyond with complimentary drinks for the ladies on what was a very busy day for them.Look forward to returning soon

takeaway food not as good as sitting in restaurant , onion bhaji burnt not nice tasting and cold , chips cold too both were cold due to packaging silly cardboard containers would be much better in foil containers to keep heat in .... curry was nice so was garlic bread but i felt the meal had been cooked in a hurry, i do enjoy my meals when sitting in so i think i will stick to that and no more takeaways

Food was 10/10 I ordered the butter chicken, chicken pakoras, cheese naan and an onion bargee they were delicious the chicken was beautifully sliced and tender which is always a bonus! The chicken pakoras I had were absolute perfection! The cheese naan was unreal and the onion bargee was extremely tasty. We popped in here last minute on a Saturday night with friends to finish a lovely day out. We were seated promptly and staff were helpful and courteous. The food was tasty, we ordered a mixture of starters and main courses to share and we were not disappointed. It was a good homely Indian. We will be back again when visiting friends. Well without going into great detail we attended a Sat night, we were served and my sons girl friend was asked how many men she slept with .......along with being subject to hear all about their sex life including how he is sleeping with a married man with a kid .......NOT WHAT I WANT TO HEAR this is totally unacceptable never felt so awkward in all my life have phoned complained still waiting for call back thats a week now !

The takeout lamb tikka massala was actually very tasty, and the meat nice and soft without being chewy, the sauce quite delicious, but I think the 'artificial colouring' of the dish was a bit over the top, too rusty/reddish looking.

when ordering it said predicted time 30 mins, when the order placed it went to 1 hour and 10 minutes. it arrived barley warm and missing items.

At the beginning everything looked nice but 1) asked for not spicy dishes. Unfortunately spicy dish, ruined our night... 2) when we asked for desert, they waiter said they are closing now. We did ask before we order our food if it will be ok to order and desert later and said no problem. The order took some time, regardless we're only 2 parties in the restaurant including us. However, we said ok, we would like to pay then and the waiter brought to us the desert menu with bad attitude. It made us uncomfortable and we divided do not order desert and just pay and leave. We are not visiting this restaurant again...

Have been here several times in the past and was always ok however that cannot be said about last night night . Ordered food starter was mediocre then proceeded to wait 45 minutes for mains I had chicken balti 4 pieces of chicken and some very greasy rice my friend ordered chicken byriani not good curry sauce was sour and garlic naan very doughy . However on good side I have cancelled my appointment for colonic irrigation. Most definitely won't be back

Would not order again from here . 6 pieces of pale overcooked chicken pakoras with no sauce . Main rice in a small container whilst our usual place provides a large . No poppadoms or spiced onions which again we get as standard in our usual place. Chicken in the main curry old and tough. Did not enjoy at all

Very positive first experience of Taste of India, having been badly let down on last meal by restaurant (Bay Leaf in Pumpherston) which we used for years. Meal was delivered in good time, was incredibly tasty, and we are already looking forward to ordering from TOI again.

Definitely now our go to Indian, love these guys, never let me down yet with delivery or quality. Keep it up please!

Overall food was very tasty, and was a nice restaurant. Only downside was that we waited almost an hour and a half for our food. May visit again when it's less busy :)

Used taste of India for a while now and consistently the food and delivery time are both utterly fantastic! If only I could get a South Indian garlic chili chicken I would be in heaven but what is on offer will keep me coming back! Excellent
