Amazing food and great service all at reasonable prices

Order was a take away which we have had the same thing for as long as I can remember. Always been amazing, tonight however, the Dopiaza, Bombay aloo and Saag paneer were so spicy we could not eat it. Obviously a different Chef on who is chilli happy. Disappointed big time. 🙄

We ordered Chicken Dopiaza, saag Paneer and Bombay Aloo. we have ordered these meals many times and they have been really good. Tonight were inedable. Far too much chilli in all the dishes .we could not eat them. This seems to happen if we order at the beginning of the week as its happened before..Do you have a diffrent chef for Mon, Tues ? They are ruining the food..If we wanted very hot we would order that. Very disappointed. A waste of £30.

Found our new Indian!! This was our first time visiting on Friday after hearing some amazing reviews about this place. But we didn't expect at all that it would be as good as this. The food was tasty, and there's a wide selection on the menu to choose from. Excited to try other dishes, but the south garlic chilli we had was one of the best. What made our night even better was the service , the young waiter serving us was hilarious and really made our visit special, and the others were so efficient and friendly. We will bring our kids for a family meal very soon!

Took a friend to the hospital for some treatment in December and on the way back he treated me to a meal at this excellent establishment. I would recommend anything on the menus but I prefer Pathia or Bhunas which are medium spiced but if you prefer hotter then there is almost certainly something that will cater for you. I regularly have takeaways from this restaurant as I stay local however it is 2 years since I last sat down for a meal inside. Staff were really friendly and service excellent

I have been coming to taste of India for around 20 years. It has always been the best Indian food by far, tonight though was on another level. The food tonight was by far the tastiest food I have ever eaten. The chicken was so moist, the curries were so full of flavour and the tandoori delight was fabulous. The mushroom rice was to die for. I will be back very soon.

Tried the taste of India for the first time yesterday. The presentation of food was good. The food seemed okay. The rice dishes were good, and the onion bhaji was good as well. However, seekh kebab was a fail with a lot of food colour in it to make them red, the logic of which is still unknown. The curry was sweet as usual. But it's still not a bad place if you make your choices right. Couldn't take all photos lol

Disappointing. Madras and curry with chicken tikka really did not taste nice.

This was a first time visit for us. We ordered vegetable pakoras to share with a medium strength sauce, very pleasant. On the set lunch menu we moved on and I chose chicken tikka massala with pilau rice and my friend chose chicken quorma with a garlic nan. We asked for kulfi to finish off but sadly they do not have any - its like a fish and chip shop without chips. The dishes were not very big so we returned once more to try the a la carte but was disappointed there too still the portion size was very small compared to other restaurants, we will not be back you are pressured to finish up and go if you are near the set time.

We came in on a Saturday for a nice family dinner, guests behind our table were obnoxiously noisy but the staff sorted us out promptly by moving us to a different table (thanks!). The food was excellent all around 🙂. Then had a nice birthday sing and cake brought out, even served with cream and ice cream. We had a brilliant time, much thanks to all the staff, inside and outside the kitchen ☺️

Should have been 45 minutes fir delivery but I’ve now waited 90 minutes the restaurant is now closed and no deliver. I WANT A REFUND this is a restaurant I frequent with a group of 12 people I think I’ll be taking my custom elsewhere

Ordered food through just eat for delivery whilst at my daughter’s in Queensferry and got a phone call soon after to say that, owing to extreme weather and road conditions, the restaurant was closed for the evening and that I would be refunded for my order. Money left my account and on 29th my daughter got a visit from the restaurant as they were concerned that I had not claimed my refund. I had not realised that I had to do this with Just Eat so, after some difficulty in finding their customer service, I was informed that, as the issue with delivery was more than 24 hours ago, I was no longer entitled to any refund! Please be warned if using Just Eat (who I will not use again)! I phoned the Restaurant who were very apologetic and immediately asked if they could deliver another meal to us. Happily looking forward to next Friday evening’s takeaway! Thank you for your excellent customer service !

The best Indian restaurant in a long time, excelled in every area. From greeting on arrival, professional friendly staff, food was absolutely delicious. Restaurant was clean, excellent facilities. I can honestly give them 10/10. Even the restaurant music was brilliant 100% recommended… Well done!

Phoned the restaurant twice, the first time I don’t think the restaurant had even started making our food. The second time they were still waiting for a delivery driver. Not sure how long our food had been sitting for before it was delivered.

Food good as always but 1hr 20mins late was horrific. Also got a plain nan not garlic. Was good but due to all this I did not enjoy it as I should have. Money wasted.

PATHETIC PATHETIC PATHETIC food. We came as a tourist in Scotland, stayed in Dunfermline, after a long hectic day of exploring the city we thought of having some good Indian food, searching online we found this restaurant name TASTE OF INDIA honestly they should change the name to TASTE OF THERE OWN CHOICE because the food we ordered was I dont know from which country but definitely not INDIA. As an INDIAN i feel sorry for the Scottish people who are tasting this food thinking of INDIAN taste. The Palak panner (Saag panner)was not palaking honestly 😂 The palak so called Saag was not even blended it was directly used from the can food. We also ordered Garlic naan there was like no garlic at all and was fully burnt from behind, it was actually tasting very sweet I mean trust me it was super sweet as Naan. Additionally there was one more item called Chicken Tikka (Stater) there were small 4 pieces of chicken and no vegetables at all like basic also like capsicum onion and the food colour they have added what should I tell about it it was hellll. Later we called the restaurant to complain and inform about the food to give a feedback the person of call told a very funny line addressing that “ We never been to India physically but we know the taste of Indian” if u guys can please explain how is this possible to know the Indian flavour without knowing the real taste of Indian food. I mean really without being in India you guys are running a restaurant named TASTE OF INDIA. I suggest no INDIAN food lover ever should visit this restaurant. For reference I have added photos as the restaurant executive have informed us to do.

Excellent, delicious food yet again from the Taste of India, Rosyth. THE best Indian food in my opinion. Never fails to deliver quality food every time. Shame I can only give 5 stars! Very highly recommended!

Staff polite and friendly, both starters cold and tasteless, Chicken tikka massala, one portion had only 3 bits of chicken, sauce was nice but the chicken its self was extremely bland. Rice well cooked but tasteless, garlic nan burnt and ineddible

The food here was absolutely delicious and will pretty much be my new favourite Indian from now on! Only disappointment was that the food took over 1hr and 30mins to be delivered and I was only ordering for 1 person, however since it was a Saturday night I’m willing to let this go this time but hopefully in future this improves but the food quality was worth the wait I have to say, absolutely stunning and wasted none!👌

Popped in while passing as heard it was good. Place was very busy but managed to get table, staff all very friendly. Food all excellent, very tasty . We had to wait quite a while for mains and seen other customers query their waiting time - also does takeaway meals and could see this was pretty busy too. Can only assume this was reason for delays. Saying that would recommend and return as food was great

Have ordered from here several times before. Food is always enjoyable but delivery is often hit or miss and when it is bad, it’s usually very late (tonight 45+ minutes later than the scheduled time). Quite frustrating that it seems to be a repeated issue that isn’t getting fixed.

Their Balti is absolutely flavour city. amazing portions, the chicken was perfectly juicy and the veggies were clearly crunchy fresh. their rice is also to die for. 10/10 quality service. ❤️

I've been coming here since opening and always had the best food and service So we thought before going on holiday we would drop in again they decided to change the recipe for a family favourites, and it was terrible. They had to be sent back and left Please go back to the tried a tested recipe you have been using for 30 years

We were disappointed with the quality of the food, the Korma was very watery and the spice of the North Indian Chilli Garlic was excessively strong.

Came in this evening for our first time and wow we will be back! Couldn’t recommend enough, service is amazing and the food is even better! We will be back soon x

Ordered takeaway hoping for the best based on reviews. Food was not good quality (hard paneer, basic sauces overly spiced, red colouring in the rice, and same sauce used for multiple dishes). Kids ordered fish and chips which was cooked a lot earlier in the day by the consistency of it. Horrible cheap breadcrumbs on the fish. It also took 30 more minutes than the estimated time to arrive. Such a pity after the good reviews.

Food very disappointing. Chicken Tikka was a strange yellow colour and didn’t taste like chicken tikka at all. I thought they’d delivered the wrong order but when I called the restaurant they said they’d just changed the colour. Food was bland and I ended up not eating the tikka at all. This isn’t the first time the take away food had been disappointing. For the price they’re charging, it should be much better. Don’t think I’ll be ordering again for a while, if at all.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the dining experience I had at your restaurant on 05/09/24. As a lover of Indian cuisine, I was eager to try your offerings, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Firstly, the quality of the food was well below expectations. The masala lamb was bland and lacked the authentic flavors that are characteristic of Indian cuisine. The dish was cooked with sugar and food coulor. The chicken butter was just sugar and a few pieces of lamb were overly greasy and tasted as though it had been reheated multiple times. Additionally, the naan was stale and again full of sugar. The coconut rice was sickly sweet , the rice was mixed with sugar and coconut. Even though I didn't eat even half of my food I felt sick when I got home. I hope that you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for your future customers. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

We had a lovely lunch today at Taste of India. I went with my sister, niece and mother who is a wheelchair user. The food was delicious and the 2 members of staff that served were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to another visit.

Good menu, friendly and attentive staff, felt food could have been more flavour some. Onion bhaji tasted sweet rather than spicy.

I love the food here my only negative is the nan breads other places do much better nan bread I don't like them from TOI 19/08/24 once again brilliant food but I just don't like the nan breads from here.

Order was 35 minutes late, restaurant had a shortage of drivers. More spinach than lamb in the curry and not the usual standard of service or food.

From Italy and Spain! We arrived in Scotland yesterday. We were looking for a place to have dinner and we came across this little restaurant. The service was excellent, both the waiter and, I presume, the owner were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The dishes we ate were wonderful, the dishes well presented and tasty. I highly recommend it. Thank you for the excellent evening spent in your restaurant and for your attention.

Super friendly and funny service. Food was great and by far more authentic than in Germany! There were many different flavors and especially the Indian spiciness; at least for the dishes that were also spicy, i.e. if you don't like spicy, there's still enough for you! It looks rather inconspicuous from the outside and inside, but you shouldn't let that fool you! I can only recommend it, especially if you want Indian food that isn't Germanized!

Excellent food and heartwarming service. We went here twice in a matter of 4 days during a Scotland tour with family. The staff and the chef went above and beyond to provide us with excellent service even as they were preparing to close for the day. Food was delicious and among the most authentic Indian food I’ve had in the UK! Kudos to the team!

We had dinner for three people. The starters, main and dessert were lovely. Manish our personal man took care of our needs. We loved this man and make sure when you eat here to ask for Manish.

The order was placed @1935 on a Wednesday night and took over an hour to arrive! Chips were awful! Looked a bit Like the end of night food .. disappointing as usually lovely. Won’t order during the week again as it seems to be better quality at the weekend 🤷🏻‍♀️

We stopped by for dinner on our way to the Highlands. Food was great. Manish and Ali were amazing and definitely helped us start our holiday on the right note. Hope to return again.

Really good experience. Chicken Tikka Jhalfrezi was excellent with fresh pops and very nice Naan breads. All piping hot and delivered earlier than expected! Recommended.

Unplanned dinner visit that unearthed a gem! From time of arrival service was great. The menu is varied with some interesting options. We ordered Garlic Chili Lamb, Lashuni Prawn and Naga Lamb alongside some veg sides and bread. All the dishes were tasty, plentiful and thoroughly enjoyed by the table. Looking forward to another visit!

Bit disappointed, thought would give a try from usual place, ordered and paid for garlic nan, plain nan delivered, smaller portions than other I normally use and no complimentary popadoms and chutney! Will definitely be going back to Handi Masala

Ordered lime pickle (and paid for it) which didn’t arrive. Although there was an extra portion of chicken pakora included. It was average at best. Disappointed.

Ordered takeaway here last weekend after several recommendations and was bitterly disappointed. Hands down the worst Indian I have ordered. Korma tasted and looked like blended sweet potato and the Rohan Josh was basically tomato puree and salt. The only good thing I have to say is that the meat used is of a good quality. Have been advised to give them another shot but doubt il be back given the price vs quality i received.

takeaway food not as good as sitting in restaurant , onion bhaji burnt not nice tasting and cold , chips cold too both were cold due to packaging silly cardboard containers would be much better in foil containers to keep heat in .... curry was nice so was garlic bread but i felt the meal had been cooked in a hurry, i do enjoy my meals when sitting in so i think i will stick to that and no more takeaways

Food was 10/10 I ordered the butter chicken, chicken pakoras, cheese naan and an onion bargee they were delicious the chicken was beautifully sliced and tender which is always a bonus! The chicken pakoras I had were absolute perfection! The cheese naan was unreal and the onion bargee was extremely tasty. We popped in here last minute on a Saturday night with friends to finish a lovely day out. We were seated promptly and staff were helpful and courteous. The food was tasty, we ordered a mixture of starters and main courses to share and we were not disappointed. It was a good homely Indian. We will be back again when visiting friends. Been eating here most weeks sit in and takeaway, can say one of the best in fife for sure. I love a curry and consistency is something you get here. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Keep up the good work
