Amazing service and great food. Hussain picked out selections since we didn’t know much about Indian food. Spot on both times we visited. All staff were excellent. Appetizers amazing. If I lived here I’d be hard pressed to stay away.

Staying in Anstruther for a few days and called in to the Eastern Touch for a takeaway well, we weren't disappointed the food was delicious hot and plenty. Good price point as well.....go give it a try.....

The best Indian I've had in Scotland to date, probably in my top 5 of all time. We had a Jalfrezi and a Rogan Josh, garlic naan, pilau rice and chips. All of it well cooked. The naan was exceptional. Service was quick and the staff had a great sense of humour. We are holidaying and live 90 mins away, at some point my partner was genuinely considering whether this was worth journeying for more regularly.

We ordered a takeaway to our holiday accommodation. The delivery was very fast about 40 mins and driver was very friendly. The food was very nice and hot only reason for 4 not 5 stars it was quite expensive and I think takeaway is the same cost as restaurant price.

Had a table booked for 7:30pm got welcomed and show to our table then never seen them again till 8pm. Asked if we could order drinks and was told no, let me get your food order first!. Food came later and was nice enough. However, the mixed pakroa starter says mushroom, but we got none. I asked but told no u don't get this even though it's on the menu? They also forgot our nan breads. Again, we had all ate half our meal before we saw him again to ask for our nans. Now I know why there was a big queue outside the fish n chip shop

Can honestly say this was the best curry I’ve had in years. I’m from Glasgow so as you can imagine plenty Indian restaurants to choose from. Last night I had chicken & spinach leaf curry with a side of bhindi bhaji & a garlic nan - very fresh, lovely herbs/spice flavour, not too spicy. Absolutely fantastic. Service excellent, good wine, beer etc. Accessibility good. Without a doubt will return.

I didn’t care much for the curries. They weren’t really spicy and some were a bit sweet. The frozen prawns were like bits of rubber. Only another two people were there, and the staff were prone to staring. Don’t think I’ll be back, I really the Aangan in Cupar

Well, where do I start, we were a party of 4 adults. The staff were brilliant, couldn't do enough for us. I asked for an Asian style chicken curry with spinach which wasn't on the menu and it was excellent. They also suggested starters to share for 2 which were lovely. They also wanted us to try their freshly made lamb dish, beautifully tender and tasty. We had left overs to take home and they gave us more pilau rice to take home with us for free. Will definitely be back!! Thank you everyone

We have visited previously for a sit in meal and it was very enjoyable, we’ve also had some take away food and this was very good. Tonight’s meal was fantastic, the service was spot on, I only had zero beer as I was driving and the staff try really, really hard to make your visit enjoyable. Will defo be back again for take away and a sit in.

A Sunday night family dinner - I booked a week in advance - and was really glad I did. 630pm and it was 2/3 full. 5 of us enjoyed a variety of dishes - Lamb Madras, King Prawn and chicken Rogan Josh, Chicken Razella and Garlic Chilli Chicken. All superb. Good portion sizes. Exceptionally good garlic naan too - puffy and delicious. 3 pilau rice between us was ideal. Cobra lager on draught too - bill was a very reasonable £99. Service was friendly, quick and attentive- our waiter Hussain was tremendous. Comfortable layout, toilets small but clean and tidy. A family -run business (boss was the chef). Highly recommended - carry-outs available too. We'll definitely be back!

We recently attended Eastern Touch for a meal to celebrate my birthday after reading such good reviews online, and I can honestly say I’ve found my new favourite restaurant. To say the food was incredible would be an understatement. We had four starters, four mains, and accompaniments of rice and variety of naans. Everything was hot and fresh, and so flavourful! My chicken bhuna was delicious, and I cannot recommend the peshwari naan highly enough. From the moment we entered, we also received such friendly and attentive service from our lovely server Pin! He made us all feel so welcome and was so lovely to talk to. Since our experience, I honestly have not stopped talking about or recommending this restaurant to my colleagues and friends. I will definitely be returning to Eastern Touch in the near future. It truly is a gem of a restaurant, and a place you don’t want to miss!

After an ordering mistake on my part left my poor husband trying to pick up a takeaway order which I’d placed for a restaurant of the same name in a country south of here, the staff in Anstruther pulled out all the stops to prepare our meal, offering him a drink while he was waiting. And the food was superb. Definitely the best we have had. Anywhere. Thank you so much.

Food was amazing and fresh. We had garlic chicken and this came with rice and salad. Absaloutely amazing. The garlic nan was so fresh and tables on either side commented how good it looked...so we shared the nan with couple of Americans beside us. They loved it so much they where returning with their wives. Staff where great even though place was very busy nothing was a problem. Anstruther was beautiful and we will definitely be back...especially to return to this restaurant.

Omg wat an amazing meal 2nite we were the only people in but my god the food was amazing. Staff were lovely will definitely be back so deserving of their award .I just can't say enough about the food it was delicious. I stay in Glasgow but those place knocked socks off everywhere I've ever been . Fab fab fab 👌

The takeaway meals we got were priced at £7.95 each, we were charged £8.95 each. My husband pointed out the error, he was told it's a misprint on the menu, seriously? It's not the first time they've tried to overcharge us. We won't be back. I will contact trading standards about this.

Booked this wee restaurant based on previous client reviews. Fantastic food, great service from helpful staff. Very competitive prices and if we are in the area again will make a point of booking a table. The Korma sauce was delicious and plain nan bread freshly baked. Super. Thank you

We don’t get to visit this great local restaurant as often as we would like. It’s well established and hopefully will be around for many more years to come. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing, very reasonably priced and the service is spot on. The menu is varied so I’ve tried a fair few dishes over the years and not come away disappointed yet. The Eastern Touch has a big dining area too which is fairly unusual for East Neuk eateries so it’s also a good choice for larger groups.

Husband and I popped in for dinner when our daughter was at a club a couple of weeks ago and were so impressed we came back tonight. We were greeted by the friendly staff who can’t do enough for you and the service is very prompt. We shared chicken pakora to start and it really is the best I’ve had and I recommend it! I had chicken biriyani and it’s lovely, very flavourful and husband had green herb chicken which is also very good. We’ll be back!

Ordered a takeaway from here whilst staying in Pittenweem for a few nights. It was DELICIOUS!! Food was perfectly cooked and delivered quickly by a very friendly guy. Both my husband and I said we wished there was a place as good as this at home. Highly recommended.

Great takeaway meal while we were staying in Cellardyke. Didn’t take long from phoning to pickup and was ready on time. Great big portions. More than enough for leftovers the day after. Chana on Puri was lovely. Peshwari nan was better than most - loads of coconut inside. Can’t really think of anything to be critical of. Some extras thrown in as well which is always appreciated!

Fab food, fab staff, my absolute favourite place to eat in Fife

My wife and I called in to the Eastern touch in Anstruther yesterday for a carry out meal, we were met with friendly and helpful staff and very swift service. As a point of interest, the new restaurant across the road is not in any way connected to the Eastern Touch despite rumours to the contrary. Whilst I am sure the new restaurant is probably excellent, it is a separate entity. I wish both restaurants well but will continue to use the Eastern Touch as the staff and service are first class.

Fabulous, clean, food is excellent, and served by very freindly staff

Unbelievably impressed with our meals. Staff were attentive but not overbearing. 3 of us had the Eastern Touch Special Biryani - delicious, lots of lamb, which was so tender. Struggled to finish, didn't quite manage but was able to take naans home to enjoy later. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant. Wish we lived closer.

We had chicken pakora, lamb and chicken tikka, biryani and chicken tikka masala. All of the food were very tasty. However, lamb tikka and chicken tikka masala need special mention. The atmosphere was really relaxing. No doubt why it has been awarded best indian restaurant in Scotland.

We were given a very warm welcome and warm restaurant when it was so cold outside. The food was very good and the staff were so friendly and attentive.

This is a great curry house - never disappoints. Table of 5 - 2 adults, 3 teens. Service was great. Food is consistently very good. We love our curries and always have a good meal here - we are a mix of veggies and meat eaters and everyone was very happy with their dishes. The naan's are exceptional - the best I've had!

Don't know if there has been a change of ownership but our meal tonight was so much better than our last visit maybe 9 months ago. Food tonight could only be described as excellent, good portion size, great taste just very very good and pleasantly surprised at how relatively inexpensive the meal and drinks were. A real benefit to the town, thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Auf unserer ersten Schottland-Reise 2018 haben wir so gut gegessen im Eastern Touch, dass wir auf unserer zweiten Reise im August 2023 Anstruther wieder auf unsere Route setzten, um noch einmal dieses Restaurant besuchen zu können. Und wir wurden nicht enttaeuscht: alle Speisen waren wieder hervorragend, die Beratung großartig und das Naan riesig, und außerdem haben wir noch eine große Portion von unserer Lieblingssoße mit auf den Weg bekommen. Haven't been here for years but we had heard from friends it had improved so we thought we would give it a go. Extremely impressed with the food, choice on the menu and the service. I had the Chicken Karai with Mushroom Pilau Rice and I have to say it's the best chicken I have tasted in years. We go fairly frequently for Indian meals in St Andrews and this was way above the standard we have eaten there. If they can sustain this level of tasty food, we will definitely be back. By the way, the delicious naan bread is huge, about the size of two dinner plates, you have been warned ! We were in a party of seven and everyone enjoyed their meals. Note that it's CASH ONLY and they don't have a licence so it's BYOB which makes for a very cheap night out!

Lovely place to eat, delicious food and super friendly service. We actually ordered takeaway for the family and had an issue paying but the lovely people at this restaurant were incredibly kind and helpful. We will go back and recommend this place. Thank you. We will pay this forward :D

It's a fairly standard curry menu. They still didn't have an alcohol licence when we went, and their card machine wasn't working either. Neither of those things was a problem for us. I wouldn't go quite so far as some of the reviewers on here, but we had an enjoyable meal, enhanced by very good service. There's not any other curry options nearby (nearest is St Andrews which we have found to be not great) so it is the 'best in the East Neuk'.

Excellent food. Only soft drinks unless bring your own bottle and cash only. Nice staff. Very good value.

Up on holiday and fancied a take away after a long day of enjoying the beautiful scenery of east Fife. Drove to Anstruther and found a space to park on the folly, chip shops had lengthy queues as you'd expect but we result wanted a curry. Found Eastern touch uo a side street behind the bakers. Restaurant was well filled with diners. Welcomed in and given a menu to browse, asked advice on a couple of dishes, attentive and friendly service. Order taken then we went off for a wander returning 20 minutes later. Food was ready as soon as I paid, kept warm til got back. Food was so nice, 2 curries, a chicken bhuna and a special royal chicken, rice and huge garlic nan. Tasty and just the right amount of spice and flavour for me. Will definitely be back. Thanks team for a great meal.

My brother found this place to go for my birthday dinner this year and it was a very good choice. The menu is vast and very reasonably priced. The restaurant does not have an alcohol license but also doesn't charge corkage for bringing your own drinks. I had a lamb rogan josh which was delicious. All of us were very happy with our meals and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is also free parking very nearby. Definitely recommend if based in St.Andrews and looking for a new and reasonably priced meal. Much cheaper than curry houses in St.Andrews and well worth a visit.

Popped in for dinner 2nd June while having a weekend away with friends. Wish we had known before hand that they had no alcohol licence. Nothing advertised on web or on the windows. Obviously the locals knew of this as the other tables had wine etc. so glad we didn’t order starters as the mains and the nans were enormous. Got our nan flavours wrong but no biggy. My chicken biryani was delicious but the Chicken chasni and the chicken jaipuri had absolutely no spice, very tasty but no spice. The nans were delicious especially the peshwari nan.

This has to be the poorest Indian meal we have ever had. It was very quiet, which should have been the clue. Everywhere else in anstruther was busy. The poppadums were not crisp, the dips poor, the onion bhaji and naan breads oily, and currys were poor.

Loved the fact that unlike a lot of Indians Iv been to this came with lots of fresh chunks of vegetables mixed through the sauce and the chicken they used was lovely and tender . Dips that came with the Poppadoms where also lovely and...

The naan was really good but we didn’t like the curry’s that much. We had the passanda which was really, really sweet and the madras which was very spicy.
