Visited bank holiday Monday lunchtime The staff were brilliant. Proper service with a smile The food was amazing. We didn’t realise that the side orders were all included. I had fish pakora, chicken makhani, turmeric potatoes, daal and rice plus a lovely Indian rice pudding. All for £14.95 Small dishes but certainly enough to fill us up Our only issue was the drinks are pricy but we will go back

We had currently been before during covid, the experience was the worst then we actually walked out, we gave it the benefit of doubt as the staff said the main chief was of ill. Back to tonight, I ordered chicken tika massalla, the chicken was dry and without flavour, the massalla sauce was so sweet and packing the true massalla flavours ( awful). Then my husband had Lamb tika Madras, this was as tough as old boots, basically they've thrown the lamb in the same massalla sauce as the chicken , awful, the madras was none existent just the same dros as dished up with the chicken. No spice in the sauce or flavour to the big lumps of tough lamb. I won't waste my time explaining about the half cooked Nam bread. Cold re heated chips. Enough said, if we had been served this in the restaurant and not had a take away we would have left without paying. Rant over.

My partner and I ate here in late June 2021. The only criticism we could make was that my partner’s tomato rice was rather soggy, but in all other respects the food was excellent. Our chicken and lamb signature dishes were fresh, hot and delicately spiced. Portions were very generous and the service was very good. All COVID regulations were adhered to and we felt very comfortable. For around £66, including starters and wine, we felt we had good value. It was just a pity that there were so few diners- the manager thanked us personally for coming and said that the shortage of visitors to London because of the pandemic had had a negative effect on his business. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good South Indian meal in the Bloomsbury area.

We discovered this restaurant purely by chance last year when staying in Bloomsbury, so did not hesitate to eat here again on this year's pre festive season trip. Have to admit I think I ordered the same thing - saag paneer & onion bhajis - as I enjoyed them so much last year. I do appreciate being able to order two small plates/side dishes as opposed to a larger main course, although my friend's main did look as though I would manage the lot! I will make a point of having something different next year, as I have no doubt we will eat here again. The gentleman we spoke to was delighted we had made a point of returning, & I assured him I had written a glowing review last year & would do so again after this visit. It's a small but beautifully put-together dining room, with a lovely atmosphere & charming people.

I rarely post reviews on Trip Advisor (or anywhere else), but I need to call out this restaurant. It was terrific. The food was outstanding-- and my wife and I are very familiar with Indian cuisine. The service was outstanding as well. It's right outside the York walls so it had the added benefit of being a bit less touristy. Highly recommend.

I ordered a takeaway from here last night and it did not disappoint! Takes around 1 hour for delivery so make sure to order well in advance. Food was still hot when arrived which was good and such an authentic taste. We ordered a lamb madras, lamb was nice and tender, rice, bombay potatoes, onion bhargi, keema naan bread and poppadoms. The curry has a good kick of spice to it and we throughly enjoyed it. Will be ordering from here again next we fancy an Indian takeaway.

This place used to be amazing. Unfortunately it is now a run down poor excuse of its former self. We pulled into the car park almost sure that the restaurant had closed down. The place looked in a state of disrepair with paint falling of the walls and window frames. We were just about to leave when a member of staff came out and assured us they were open. Dubiously we went in, remembering how great it used to be. Inside, the decor was not much better, it was very tired, in need of some TLC and investment but as we were the only people in the place I guess that investment won't be coming any time soon as this place cannot possibly be trading very much longer unless it survives on take-away trade. Upon taking our drinks order, we were disappointed to be informed that they had no beer (draught or bottled) so had soft drinks. Unfortunately the disappointment didn't stop there as when our main courses came out, one was inedible and the other extremely salty to the point where it was only just edible. To be fair, the staff did offer to replace both of our meals, but we felt that the damage was done and just wanted to leave. I would strongly recommend you avoid this place, it is certainly not what it used to be. Such a huge shame.
