Karai Lounge in Cheshire West and Chester

Ordered for 1820,Updated that the order was on the way at 1815, waited till 1835 then stated it was delivered, nothing received. Called the restaurant customer service wasn’t great blamed us for not answering the door however we’d been in since 1800 awaiting delivery. eventually said the driver had come back, sent them back to us. Stated that they were banging on the door which was not correct. Stated that it was at 1750 when they tried to deliver however it was only done at 1835.

I’m really disappointed. This order took an hour and 50mins from the time of ordering and then the mango chutney was missing. I doubt I’ll order from them again

food was delicious, came hot, couldn't fault anything. this is now going to be my first choice to order from when ordering an Indian.

As always, beautiful food, delivered hot and on time (give or take a few minutes). Can highly recommend and we will continue to order from here.

Food is ok here but the delivery times and service is consistently bad. I just had 1 starter, 1 main and 1 naan and it took 1h 40 mins. Phoned the restaurant and there was no apology. Won't use again.

It was a very quick and easy collection, and the food was delicious, but a bit too spicy for my liking, nevertheless though the quality overall was good, perhaps just tone down on the spice levels.

The worst Indian take away I’ve ever had. Not from here, on a weekend away. Did a large order for 10 people. Luke warm curries. Not very tasty. Small portions also. Keema naan has no keema but had doner kebab style lamb in about 2% of the naan. Other naans were undercooked.

I’ve tried them all and this is by far the best Curry House in Chester imho! They clearly don’t scrimp on ingredients unlike others, 👍👏👏

We've been using Karai for well over 12 months now. The food has always been first class, and staff polite and helpful. The delivery times can sometimes be up to 90 minutes, but we usually get the meal within 1 hour.

Nice food but despite having used this restaurant for delivery a few times previously with no issues for some weird reason the delivery driver couldn’t find my address 🤔 I’m thinking maybe get a sat nav, use Google maps or maybe Apple Maps 🤷‍♂️

Ordered at 7pm, arrived at 9.55 pm.

Ordered a delivery last night at 6.30pm to be delivered at 8.20pm. I naiively assumed ordering in advance would allow for a timely delivery. It got to 9pm and I called them up to ask where my order was and was told it would be at least another 35-45 minutes (so pushing 10pm for delivery). When I asked why, I didn't really get any explanation which was extremely frustrating. Needless to say, not wanting to eat at 10pm, I had no choice but to cancel the order which in itself proved difficult with me having to call them on a number of occasions before they actually authorised the refund. It's a shame because I've ordered from Karai before and the food is very good but due to this experience I won't be ordering from them again in the future.

25-30 minutes late, every item of food was stone cold. We haven’t been able to eat a single item!

I’ve been buying Indian takeaway food for 35 years, I like my Indian takeaways hot and full of flavour. These guys hit the sweet spot, I was very impressed, I will definitely be using them again 👏 💯

Ordered food last night and waited over an hour and a half, on arrival it was all cold. Had to microwave it. Not impressed.

over one and a half hours to receive my food. Zero apology from the driver, food barely warm at all. Hardly any sauce in the madras.

they did keep me updated about the delay but unfortunately when you spend a lot of money on a treat, you expect it to not only be on time but atleast hot and tasty, which it wasn't great, but by that time I was starving.

Best Indian takeaway in Chester, so glad I found this place lots of others around have gone very poor recently and Karai Lounge have been spot of every time, fresh food, chicken tikka masala was lovely the chicken was juicey, chips fresh made in a clean fryer, rice nice and fluffy brilliant delivery is nice and quick hot food 😀

We have ordered before and it’s gorgeous. This time the poppadoms were burnt, the sauces were different. The food wasn’t hot, I would say the curry and rice were nice. I would order again, hopefully a one off!

delicious chicken tikka massala

I’ve not ordered a curry for several months since moving to Chester, but was so happy to find that my lamb Pathia was pretty spicy and sweet - much better than some I used to order in London. Grew value mixed starter too and I would definitely order again.

Excellent delivery meal tonight. They called to ask if they could deliver a bit earlier than which was great. Food was hot and very tasty. Ordered from here a handful of times now and always really enjoyed it.

Everything was perfect: the packing, the taste, and the portion size. I tried it for the first time, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for Indian cuisine.

Food was tasty but was disappointed not to receive the poppadoms. It meant the kids missed out and the chutneys we purchased were wasted. They were in touch to say food would be delayed so cannot complain about service.

chicken tikka starter seem boiled, not dry as done in a oven not to my taste. madras sauce was tasty but the chicken was a bit tough. I would try again.
