Fenugreek in Cheshire West and Chester

While the starter (Seekh kabob ) was reasonable, the Mains mutton Kadai was nothing but BOILED meat in a onion and tomato gravy, and absolutely tasteless meal. Strangely the establishment does not provide a VAT receipt nor did the sole server even have a standard credit card receipt . A very disappointing meal

Extremely overpriced curry, not even made nicely. Ordered a butter chicken and hardly tasted like any butter chicken we've had. Naan was more like Flatbread from a Turkish restaurant than real Naan. And to top it off, a small bowl of rice (see picture) cost £4 - absolutely ridiculous. We should have known when we walked in and saw absolutely no one in the restaurant at 7pm. Would never go here again, do not recommend. The woman that served us was very lovely though, no faulting her.

Had a really lovely meal here last night. Delicious paneer korma and chicken tikka masala. Feels like being in someone's lounge! Quite modern decor as opposed to an 'old school curry house'. Limited wine list and slightly slow service but will definitely return as food was so good.

Really nice takeaway. Certainly better than any other Indian in Chester where all dishes taste the same. Tasty and fresh.

Delicious food and fantastic service. The garlic chilli prawns were amazing. The server was very friendly and accommodating, and it was a really nice touch with the surprise birthday pudding too. Would recommend!

We called here after enjoying a nice couple of beers in the olde cottage in. There was no one in the restaurant which made us a bit hesitant to go in. We decided to go in and what a treat. We were welcomed by a lovely young waitress who was very polite and helpful. The food was very tasty and cooked to perfection. If you fancy an Indian meal, I’d thoroughly recommend Fenugreek

On a journey from Essex to Cumbria we had an overnight stay in Chester. We were about to walk past this restaurant but having looked at the menu we decided to go in. I have eaten in lots of Indian restaurants. Fenugreek was probably the best Indian food I have ever had. Everything cooked to perfection in just the right portions . Great service from friendly staff.

Awful awful awful Was told a delivery time of 19.20, called them at 19.30 and food wasn’t even cooked, they told me it would be ready by 19.50, called at 20.00 and they told me they were holding off cooking my food due to bad traffic, I checked google maps and there wasn’t any traffic, they lied. Food arrived at 21.00 and it was bloody awful, balti was just a tub of chicken swimming in red oil, we had a keema naan and a garlic naan, both were tasteless, prawn purée was average but they did get the boiled rice right, well done fenugreek for your rice boiling skills.

Awful. We waited over an hour and a half for our food and didn’t get an apology. We were told that they were busy and that the food hadn’t even been made at this point. The owner lied and said he would come to our door and drop the food off himself which he didn’t. We ate at 9pm. Will never eat food from here again!

Ordered a takeaway from here last night, everything was delicious and hot. Best takeaway curry in Chester and we’ve tried all of them at this point. Each curry was nicely flavoured, the bhajis were excellent and the rice was very flavourful. They called to say it was going to be a little late which was much appreciated and not a courtesy you often get.

Had amazing meal here...service was excellent especially as a young lady was seeing to group bookings at the same time as seeing to us..garlic nan lacked the garlic but the rest was delicious. Cant fault the price either.

I have eaten in and had takeaways/deliveries on multiple occasions as I have tried other curry houses in Chester, yet none compare. Excellent food and friendly staff. The only minor issue is that they can be hard to get through to on the phone.

Best Balti since I moved from Birmingham 22 years ago. All round tasty food, and excellent friendly service from the young lady who served each night I visited.

Ordered Vegetable Biryani and Egg Pilau and they are so tasteless. It’s so annoying the egg pilau provided to us doesn’t have even a single bit of egg in it. Vegetable biryani is just a turmeric rice with no salt, spice or masala in it and the sauce provided is also of so low taste. Totally disappointed.

Food fairly nice and price and service were good . My only complaint was my wife ordered a peshwari naan and got a plain one the waitress took it back then brought it back again saying it had coconut essence on it and that's how peshwari naans are . When I even know they have coconut and sultanas in them and are quite sweet .

Appalling service, food arrived cold and inedible an hour late and was delivered to the wrong address. Restaurant would not answer phone so failure on updates or ways to resolve problems

Went for a meal on Saturday night for my husbands birthday and it was one of the best Indian places I have been to.There was 7 of us and each of us had a different meal and everyone of us enjoyed .The staff were lovely thank you for decorating the place for our special occasion

Possibly one of the worst Indians I have ever had. First issue was that I wanted to ring for a dietary requirement but their phone line wasn't working and there was no other way of contacting them. Received my meal late, no big deal. When we received the meal the chicken gohst was unenjoyably spicy but had no other flavour. The lamb dish was oily and had little depth. The garlic and cheese naan lacked garlic and tasted like plastic cheese. Had a masala fish starter, which was essentially 6 pieces of whitebait weirdly. That also lacked any flavour. Won't be ordering again. Disappointed.

My family & me came across this place whilst looking for another restaurant but the decor and setting was so nice we thought we would give it a try. Hoping that the food was as nice as the surroundings and we weren't disappointed. This is possibly the best Indian food we have had in years ! I had the Chilli Garlic Chicken, my wife had the butter Chicken and our kids had the Korma. Not only were the mains extremely well cooked and seasoned but the rice and naan were also done really well. The service was fantastic and the staff very friendly. I can't recommend this place enough to those who like Indian food made to a great standard. I just wish we lived closer to go more often.

Went to this restaurant having detoured to off the motorway on Sunday 13th June 2021. Google said it was open till 11pm. We entered a little before 10pm but were turned away because ‘last orders have gone’. If I was the owner I’m not certain I’d be happy at custom being turned away (only one couple in there eating) and why I’m leaving feedback. Still no harm done as a few doors away was The Chester Tandoori who welcomed us with open arms and provided us with delicious food. We spent £49 there and were finished and out before 11pm.

Really nice food full of flavour! Curry night was £16 for two of us 😋😋
