We had my sister's baby shower here, they catered for 17 of us having afternoon tea and did seperate food for the kids. They were very accommodating with excellent service.
The food was delicious, everyone commented on what good quality it was.
Rather than having individual afternoon teas it was buffet style, which worked out much better! More room on the tables and you could pick food you actually wanted rather than it going to waste.
Highly recommend. Thanks for hosting it for us it was brill xxx
Authentic pierogi with a selection of meat and veggie fillings. My favorite was the sauerkraut and mushroom. Cash only! A lovely small space with friendly hosts. 🥟

Came here as a group of 4 before our bottomless brunch. The place was very inviting. And so was the coffee. I would also highly recommend the bagel. Great spot.
Laura's effervescent charisma has been a huge loss to Handbridge since Meltdown's closure, but will no doubt be a giant gain to whatever comes next for the (former) Toastie Queen. I say former, as there's one final chance to taste her magic creations before the apron is hung up for good at fellow Chester indie scene star That Beer Place on Foregate St tomorrow, which I wouldn't miss for all the cheese in Cheshire...
Exsqueezeme were a heaven send for our family during Covid. We were lucky to have fresh fruit and vegetables delivered every week. Ordered the Christmas box this year and it was amazing. I’m signing up for the weekly box now as the quality of the produce million percent outweighs what y ou get from supermarkets. It’s important that I feel my family nutritious and healthy food. Thank you!
We discovered Blinkers just after lockdown and has been our regular "go to" for our Thursdays bacon butty (other days are available). Within Blinkers Ziggy has created a friendly, down to earth atmosphere long since gone from most of the sanitised chains of coffee shops.
Very friendly staff great food and always doing something to help the locals who can't always afford chippy for the family ie offers on dinnertime and tea time meals and superb offers during covid and when the kids are off school. They should be rewarded for their efforts 👌
Amazing breakfast!
Lovely little place, good food. Would definitely come back. Shame it’s not an obvious find. Took a while to find it on maps as it’s upstairs
Lovely spot on the canel, food & coffee were delicious but very pricey! I ordered the pork in a croissant, which was small but tasty! Would have liked the rest of the croissant! Husband said his was perfect. Coffee was great.
Had the “fish” and chips !! It was ready in less than 10 minutes !! The portion was huge very tasty and fresh !! The owner is very nice and friendly food is amazing ! Highly recommend !!
Tripadvisor recommendation works again! On a short 2-day Chester stay, after a walk around the parks & the River Dee, headed for a restorative coffee to find this quiet cosy place. Splendid coffees, really good, with some nice cakes as well, very pleasant barista too. Pretty good pricing in my view for own roast coffee. Recommended. May get busy, for which there is some additional space in the back room but not great ambience there.
We yet again had a wonderful dining experience. The food was excellent. The table settings were very attractive. The service was second to none. This is our fourth visit to the Dining Room this year every meal has been delicious. It well worth a visit the students are very professional.
£8.50 for a sandwich that you can’t make amendments to. Tried to order a newyork deli sub without the peppers as that was what they’d ran out of but was refused and told rudely, ‘choose what is on the boards behind, that’s all we’ve got left’
Can’t add anything to a sandwich.
Wasn’t putting more chips on despite having 1.5 hours left open. Weirdly ran and v overpriced.
