Great fish and chips. Batter wasn't greasy. Friendly staff too. I would definitely recommend this chippy.

It’s exactly what it says, a corner chippy no frills , no fancy menu, just the simply the best fish and chips , in Winsford and surrounding area, They concentrate on getting the meals they sell spot on and not overpriced.

we have been going to this fantastic fish and chip shop every friday for months, this speaks volumes. great value for money and excellent service.

Tonight the family were treated to the family meal deal and it was absolutely delicious. 2 portions of chips, 2 lg sausages, a fishcake, 6 fish bites, 3 lg sauces and 4 cans for the bargain price of £16. We shared the meal between 3 of us, but it could have easily fed another 1 or 2. The plates were scraped clean! Thank you

Visited for first time and called prior the lady on phone was polite and understanding, the food is spot on 5/5 gave it one less star as could of done with more chips 4.5/5

Lived in area for 30 odd years only recently went to this chip shop,by far best in area,food is always fresh and hot and great value.Only chip shop l use now.

Had a family meal deal it fed 5 of use all drinks included had 6 large fish strips,sausages,fish cake , chips and cury , gravy and peas 👌 we also brought a foot long hot dog with onions and tomato sauce 😋 all for under £18 😀 i rang up and it was fresh and ready When I collected 👌 staff are really friendly 😊 this is definitely the number one ☝️

I won a free meal via a Facebook post from this business & I was not disappointed. Absolutely yummy, filling & portion was fab! Never heard of fish bites & safe to say I'd be getting them every time from now on, thank you for selecting me as I'm a chippy lover & this is definitely a place I'd order from again & again without a doubt. 10/10 & highly recommend to anyone who loves a proper chippy tea.

Great food, cooked to order and the best value. Staff are friendly and chatty; walking in to the corner chip shop is like stepping back in time, when fish and chips tasted incredible. There are great lunch and dinner time specials advertised on Facebook: today was steak pudding, chips, peas and gravey for £4...... Happy days ❤

Seen lots of good reviews so thought we would give this a try. Food cooked to (rather slow) order, cod advertised on the menu which is rare these days, prices are less than our local chippy but the food quality was not as good. Chips OK, peas nice fish in batter a bit greasy. Regular chips was more than enough for two.

Irresponsible grumpy faced staff and crap service ever i had. Me and my 3 year boy Went in ask for fish said cant take card when we we came back with cash that stupid women said no bloddy fish left. dis not even say sorry. Wtf!

Absolutely cracking food, the chips are always amazing, topped off with great prices and friendly staff. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Tasty food, not greasy, perfect chips, crispy outside, soft inside. Thin batter on the fish, so the taste of the fish comes through. Peas a little to mushy for me, but the curry is great.

Amazing food, highly recommend to anyone who wants a proper chippy meal. Fish was cooked perfectly, chips were gorgeous, everything was spot on. My family will definitely be back. Staff are very friendly too.

Only found out about this chippy after seeing a post on Facebook and glad I went. We have returned since and thoroughly enjoyed what we have brought home so top stuff!I have two gripes albeit minor and they are when photos are posted on Facebook of your food, they are not doing it justice and to be fair some look off-putting so either ditch the photos or make some effort into making your food look appealing.Secondly you announce you have lunchtime and teatime specials but it'd be nice to know earlier in the day rather than minutes before lunch or tea when you announce it.These things said, we will be revisiting again soon so thanks for lovely fish and chips!

I visit once week for a family treat, staff are faultless and the food excellent. I would certainly recommend a visit.

I contacted this shop to ask if they could provide a large amount of chips for my dad's funeral as they were his favourite. Not only did they do this, they even dropped them off at the venue for us. Everyone commented on how tasty the chips were (& there were over 200 people there), we were so pleased. I highly recommend this chip shop.

I have been going to the corner fish and chip shop for years as I live nearby. They never fail to deliver excellent food. The staff are always very friendly and you never have to wait too long even when they have a queue out of the door which is quite frequent. I would highly recommend this fab little chippy to anyone. If you are in the area, call in, you won't be disappointed.

Have gotten takeaway here for years and never had a bad one hubby always goes for the sausage and chip super and I love the fish bites which u get loads and are huge mushy peas and curry are lovely service always quick only complaint is there not open at weekends and close for weeks over Xmas but it is family run

Very poor portion sizes for children got told i could have a cup drink of the window sill as needed 3 but there was only 2 under the counter got home to the drunk on windowsill was out of date very greasey and when messaged the manager got a poor response also ordered a cheese burgee got home to no cheese on it would never go back here again

called here after a recommendation but won't be going again. Luke warm, chewy fish and dripping in grease. So disapointing when i opened it at home. All grease in the carrier bag. Could'nt eat it so had to throw it in the bin. What a waste of money. Made dinner for us instead.

La tienda es extremadamente limpio, ofrece buenas porciones y el pescado son enormes y bien cocinado a tu elección. Un poco decepcionado por la salsa curry aguado y la salsa.

El pescado es genial y las patatas fritas para conseguir nuestra prefiero un jueves, ya que es preparado a la perfección, pensando que no estaría tan ocupado pero aún forma colas de la puerta.

Siempre una buena relación calidad-precio y buenas porciones de tamaño recomiendo crítica podría abrir un poco más tarde en la noche

The best chippy u have ever been too. On the wrong side of Winsford so would never normally try it. But off chance gapped to come across it. I won't be walking to my nearest chippy anymore, I will be driving to this one. The fish bites are amazing. And fun people in the chippy service and amazing food.

Absolutely love coming here! Lovely food & staff. I'm fussy where I'll eat sausages from and I've never had any trouble with the ones from here! I find the portions big, I couldn't get through all my food, I was full half way through!

This chip shop is amazing... definitely the best in Winsford. Great Clean food, good size portions. I have lived up Wharton for 20 years and don't know why I did not discover this place until this year. I won't go anywhere else now. Only one disappointment... they are not open at the weekend but we all need a day off work I suppose

Having read the great reviews on TA, we decided to go some miles out of our way to sample their so called famous fish and chips after a days geocaching around Wettenhall. This was Saturday and the time was 6.15. When we arrived outside, the place was unlit and obviously not likely to be opening in the near future anytime. This should have been its prime business time so why was it closed.

Lovely fast service with very pleasant staff. Meals were very substantial. Drinks were nice and hot. Clean everywhere.

We recently visited here at The Corner Fry and had a family meal deal. Its more than enough for four people and is excellent value for money! Anne Marie and her team provide a great customer friendly service who are always cheery and welcoming. It certainly makes a difference when you get great service with a smile :-) A real proper English Fish and chip shop who provide decent portions, unlike other places we've experienced! Well done!

I have been to this fish and chip shop many times. I know predictable but i always have the same and I'm fussy how I like it. The staff always get it right and with a smile and a chat. The reason I keep going there for my fish and chips is because its the best I've had. I have tried other chippys but none come up to the standard of the Corner Fish and Chip Shop. mmmm

Excellent traditional chippy. Good quality fish, light crispy batter, and chips are always fresh. They do serve homemade daily specials such as curry or chilli which is always nice. The only downside is that it's always busy, but I guess that's just reflective of the quality of food and service. Staff are very welcoming and make an effort to talk to customers.
