No 32 in Cheshire West and Chester

Originally we had booked somewhere close to a venue we were attending. However on arrival the accommodation was not as expected and we needed to find somewhere else to stay. We contacted 32 Torporley and spoke to Ben who sorted us out with a room. On arrival Ben couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel and our room was amazing with everything we needed. The complementary snacks and cereals were a nice touch. All the staff we met were very friendly. We were unable to sample the restaurant food as we were attending a concert however we will definitely return in the near future. Highly recommended 5*

What an amazing asset to Tarporley! We had an exclusive booking for 30 for Sunday lunch. Catherine and the team were perfect from start to finish. Cannot recommend enough. We’ll definitely be back for sure.

This was my second visit here, the first was a breakfast, which was excellent ( beautiful bacon ) so went for their Sunday Lunch. This surpassed all expectations. Tender , plentiful , melt in the mouth Beef , rich gravy, properly prepared Roast Potatoes , notably fresh veg. it was up there with the best . I heard others singing its praise nearby table , so if youve never been , your missing out. They serve the best fresh which comes from a smaller Menu which is far better than razzle dazzle . Nice chap serving too , very caring.

Avoid booking rooms at this hotel if you don’t want to be able to cancel and get a refund For work reasons l had booked three rooms on different dates via hotels.com and a fully refundable basis I had to cancel within the agreed time for a full credit but they refuse I have contacted the hotel directly and the owner and hotels.com but cannot get any progress EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND OUT OF POCKET

I was only booked in for a single night but wished i coulld have stayed much longer i was at an event in chester so did not have the oppertunity to sample the food but the menue look really good .The staff i met a really helpfull guy called patryk who was going above and beyond to secure me a taxi to chester for which i thank him .I returned late back from chester but everything was messaged to me for access and room key again thank you for being so accomodating the room was fantastic beaulifully decorated to an extremely high quallity the bed was so comfortable the whole accomadation is amazing the only down side is the car park is a little small as it is shared but was not an issue for me but may be worth arriving a little early to secure a space then you have more time to enjoy this real gem I cannot wait for my next visit to this area will definitely be booking again Thank you for a very enjoyable stay

We recently held a Private Dinning Party for eight people at No.32 Tarporley for a retirement celebration. Absolutely superb - everything was just perfect. Our very appreciative thanks go to Catherine who oversaw our arrangements from our initial enquiries to the actual evening. Catherine and her team are a credit to the business, polite and attentive without being obtrusive. The menu selection we had requested for the evening was just delightful, offering a wide choice for our guests and beautifully presented. Five of the party had steak, all perfectly cooked to guests personal preference. We stayed overnight at the hotel as well and we were very satisfied with the facilities in the spacious and well appointed room. I would definitely recommend this place, now under new ownership since the turn of the year 2023. It no longer has any connections with the Hollies or subsequent owners, where you may have previously read mixed reviews. Good luck to Catherine and her team in their venture.

We stopped in here for a few drinks and a small bite to eat. Patrick was serving us and he was fantastic - so friendly and polite, couldn’t do enough for us even when short staffed. We would definitely pop back here.

Limited menu of excellent dishes, the service was superb. Patrick is a perfect host, charming, helpful and unobtrusive. Quality decor, glassware etc adds to the faultess experience.

We were looking for a short weekend away in Cheshire and came across No 32 Tarporley online. We decided to a chance on this place and are so glad we did! The restaurant is beautiful and the food is fantastic (and reasonably priced). In addition to the restaurant there is also a separate bar area plus some additional 'casual' sofa type seating in the main area if you just wanted to come in for a drink. Outside there is parking onsite and an additional seating area to the side of the building. The bedroom was just what we were looking for, a large king size bed, ensuite bathroom with bath, stylishly decorated and spotless - perfect. We were only intending to stay one evening but enjoyed it so much we booked a second night. The staff were very welcoming and could not do more for you. The "front of house" Patrick is quite a character and is very entertaining! We've never been to Tarporley before and really enjoyed our stay - its only a small village but theres plenty enough bars, restaurants and shops to keep you busy. We will definitely be back - and will be choosing No 32 again!

Great value lunch in classy restaurant in the beautiful village of Tarporley. Lunchtime special menu has a number of good value mains around £12. Cooking and service were fantastic and the decor is stylish.

I was visiting Tarporley and nearby Little Budworth and 32 had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The room and en-suite was very clean, a very good size and tastefully fitted out to a very high standard. A superb bed on which I had a very good sleep and parking at the rear of the hotel so all very convenient. Located on the High Street next to Ginger & Pickles (from which you can have, inter alia, a very good breakfast) and also close to the many other pubs and eateries you couldn’t want for a better hotel or location. 32 has everything you need from a short to a longer stay. Unfortunately due to health issues I had not been able to revisit Tarporley and Little Budworth ( in which I spent my first 23 years of life) but now those are behind me and I can resume my travels. This one was only short but the next one will be longer and I know exactly where I will be staying!!

This is our go to place when we visit Tarporley. The staff are extra friendly and the chef definitely knows what he is doing! The decor is warm and contemporary and nothing is too much trouble. If I was to recommend a dish, it would definitely be the chocolate brownie, a new recipe and so light!

Excellent Sunday lunch with the family. Superb food and very friendly service. It was also excellent value, particularly for the kids.

Very nice 3 course meal with well presented tasty food. Service was good and we appreciated seeing the sous chef front of house when we arrived.

We passed the restaurant and stopped for a meal. We had their home made burgers, beer battered fish, grilled veggies and a massive!!! Cheese plate. This was a very, very nice experience and when in the neighborhood, definitely going back!
