Lovely experience, friendly staff, sandwiches (fresh soft bread) , small cakes(so soft and spongy) , scones and pot of tea.

We booked an afternoon tea for a group of friends. Poppy was amazing at catering for our needs. I am quite fussy and Poppy took the time on the phone before hand to find out my needs. The afternoon tea was the best I have had. The staff were friendly and it is a beautiful room.

This is the most gorgeous tea room. The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to make your experience the best! I cannot recommend this enough. The cakes are all homemade and the sandwiches are delicious. The best afternoon tea!!

Stepping into Poppys tearoom is a real treat, always so warm and friendly but the delicious scones and cakes never disappoint, a real gem.

We loved our afternoon tea, the tea room is decorated lovely, and the food was delicious. The homemade cakes were especially nice was a great find in Northwich. Thank you we will be returning

This was my second visit to Poppy Rose for afternoon tea and it was superb again. They were so careful to cater for my dietary needs (thanks girls!) and everything was top notch, from the sandwiches to the scones (with clotted cream and jam) and the cakes - all of them were delicious and moist (not easy to achieve with gluten free flour). The staff were so attentive and friendly - and what a beautiful little café it is too! We also loved having a mooch about upstairs where they have antiques and china. All in all, a lovely visit and if I lived closer, I'd be there on a regular basis (and a stone heavier)!

A Fantastic afternoon tea in a lovely quirky tea room with the prettiest cups saucers and plates with lovely friendly staff and great service , we could not believe the value for money you get when booking here for afternoon tea we have had afternoon tea in places where we have paid twice as much for nowhere near as good food ,everything is so fresh the sandwiches are really tasty and the bread is so nice and fresh with the most lovely fillings , the cakes and scones are something else !!! They big enough so you can eat all of them without feeling too full , when our afternoon tea was brought to us. Everything was explained to us what fillings where on the sandwiches and what each cake was rather than having to second-guess everything like we have to do another places , if you’re looking for somewhere nice to treat either yourself or someone else I would highly recommend you visit here. You will not be disappointed. We can’t wait to come back in a few weeks time .

Just had melted brie and cranberry toasty with salad garnish and crisps at Poppy Rose. It was excellent. I then had a chocolate brownie with large coffee. First Class! Poppy Rose and her Staff are pleasant and polite with everybody. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I have already recommended Poppy RoseTea Rooms to family and friends. I know that they will not be disappointed.

The nicest tea room I have ever visited. Lovely fresh sandwiches and cakes, beautiful building and friendly staff. Bonus is they cater for fussy eaters like myself. I would definitely advise booking as it is always full. It is now our go to afternoon tea place and I travel a fair distance just to visit.

As huge fans of afternoon tea, my partner and I have tried numerous different places across the country - and this one (so close to home) is the best (and one of the cheapest) we've ever had! We opted for High Tea today, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff are also lovely - Poppy couldn't do enough for us! We will absolutely be back for more!

Delightful vintage tearoom with lovely staff, an excellent selection of teas, and great toasties and cakes. There is also a gift shop upstairs with all sorts, from scarves and hand-made candles to vintage books and bric-a-brac.

Unfortunately after arranging an afternoon tea for a special occasion which I won’t go into detail we were very let down when we arrived to find no disabled access. Although we were told there was 2 very small steps (Not 3 1 small & 2 steep steps) to which my mother was unable to climb yes they offered to carry her in but how undignified would that have been for my mother as we were unable to get access we had to cancel they had the cheek to charge us £40 only for the fact that my daughter was so upset that we paid it and left it is not clear on their website that there is no disabled access or terms and conditions of cancellation policy really need to consider people with disability’s and not discriminate against them then have the audacity to charge us for it not happy with their principles not happy at all

Foods are gorgeous serve with decent plate. Great service, absolute recommend it👍

This is a fabulous tea rooms. The staff are really friendly and pleasant. The decor is very quaint with gorgeous china ,just as a tea shop should be. We had a high tea which consisted of sandwiches, cakes and scones and was really fresh and tasty and the tea and coffee was refreshed if required. A very nice place and would definitely recommend.

Decided to take my parents for an Afternoon Tea as they like this when visiting me in the UK. It is a lovely little tea room, quirky decor but warm, welcoming & lovely atmosphere. Food is freshly prepared and of good quality, Service is efficient, friendly but not intrusive. Overall worth a visit and definately will be back. If you are in Northwich walk and looking for sandwich and cuppa walk that little further try Poppy Rose Tearoom.

This is by far the best afternoon tea spot I’ve been to - everything (bar the macarons) was homemade and you could tell. There is a HUGE selection of loose leaf tea for such a small place. So fresh, delicious and the perfect amount of food too. Often vegetarian afternoon teas can skimp out, but this one was lovely - the hummus and pepper sandwich is to die for. The decor & crockery is so cute (specially the teaspoons!!). The music was also very fitting and not overly classical.

Been meaning to visit for ages but went on Saturday (30/9) for the first time. We both had toasted sandwiches and they were delicious,not over priced. Staff friendly,nice atmosphere cakes looked great. Will be going to sample the Afternoon tea soon.

Adore going here. Poppy has done her best to make it accessible. I don't think a wheelchair would work there, but for the ambulant disabled, there is a downstairs toilet, the new extension area has handrails to access it, and there is a gran rail and extra step at the front door. The decor is incredible, so cosy and pretty, with fairy lights, vintage displays and some amazing wallpaper. The only hot food is toasties, but there is no need for anything more. The sandwiches are freshly made to order, the cakes are home-baked, the tea is served in bone china and there is an excellent tea menu. Every visit feels like a treat, the staff are amazing, and Poppy herself is always friendly and beautifully turned out to match the ethos of this very pretty tearoom and shop. Gorgeous vintage things and new clothes are on sale on the upper floors.

We visited the Tearooms yesterday for Afternoon tea.We arrived early so took a trip upstairs to the Vintage shop.The shop is filled with the most beautiful array of Vintage items.I bought a Vintage Bear there. We then sat down for the most amazing Afternoon Tea I have ever had.The sandwiches were made on arrival and filled with delicious top quality ingredients.The scones,Jam,Clotted cream and bakes were 5* all home baked and presented on a cake stand.AfternoonTea here is the best value I ever experienced.I have paid £50 + per person in 5* Hotels in Ireland and they didn't hold a candle to Poppy Rose's.The staff are exceptional too.I can't wait to return on my next trip to Cheshire.Louise,Caroline & Aine x x x

My second visit in 6 months, first was a afternoon tea voucher given to me for Christmas it was so good then I had to bring a friend for our birthdays. I love this tea room it is by far the best afternoon tea we have ever had and will be returning soon with our mums so they can try.

Wow! What a beautiful place. We visited today after being at the new kids golf course at Hartford. Staff went above and beyond. Helped me with directions to nearest car park, reserved a table while we parked, actually came over and had a conversation with myself and my little girl, asking about our day out. The tables and everything was spotlessly clean and the decor was beautiful with gorgeous fresh flowers on each table. Food absolutely fantastic. Fresh and just nicely presented. Upstairs there's a little gift shop and vintage shop. All eateries should be like this... and unfortunately they're not. They fall very short. Poppy Rose tearooms was just lovely, a welcoming experience and a breath of fresh air. Well worth a visit! Thankyou!

The perfect place for lunch or afternoon tea. Everything is freshly made and of the highest quality. My personal favourite for lunch is the chicken, pesto mayo, avocado and rocket sandwich - delicious. The scones are the best I've tasted (my friend reckons they are better than the ones at the Ritz!) and you are spoilt for choice with the cakes. Just make sure you book!

Delightful visit to Poppy's Tea Room today. Delicious Afternoon Tea selection in a wonderfully quirky setting. Cakes and sandwiches were lovely but we did have to bring some home in a doggy box! Will definitely visit again.

Visited Poppy Rose Tearoom for Afternoon Tea for two after reading the wonderful reviews. We were not disappointed. It is an enchanting victorian tearoom decorated beautifully. The food was delicious, good selection of small sandwiches, gorgeous tasting miniature cakes and light scones with homemade jam and clotted cream. Presented nicely on a China cakestand. There was an amazing selection of teas to choose from served in individed China tea pots. Poppy and her staff were very polite, friendly and attentative. Excellent value for money. An added bonus were the rooms upstairs selling victorian artifacts and a nice selection of ladies new clothes at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit. Many thanks.

Went today with 2 friends as had been bought an afternoon tea voucher. We loved the place, such a happy and relaxed atmosphere. Food was fresh and plenty of it, shall be returning for sure.

We stopped in for a cream tea and were tempted by the delicious looking cakes so ended up with their high tea which came with sandwiches, scone with cream and jam and a cake. A delicious afternoon treat and the Poppy Rose and the other staff couldn't have been nicer. It also has a quirky set of vintage and other items for sale which was great for a quick browse. Highly recommended if you're in the area, or even if you're not that close!

Came today and will definitely be coming back. Everything was so fresh and quickly served. The bread was the freshest I have genuinely eaten. Poppy and her staff are so attentive even offered refills on the tea and to take food home we had left. I am a fussy eater and asked for plain sandwiches which was accommodated. Will be booking very shortly 🙂

Fantastic place. Spent the afternoon there with 10 members of my family. All the afternoon tea came out together and all correct. The gluten free food was the best we have had. Everything looked and tasted great. Good amount of cakes that are gluten free and all tasted great. Fantastic coffee. If you are Gluten free I highly recommend this place. Staff so friendly made us all feel at home.

We have been to Poopy's a few times now and we always receive a warm friendly welcome. The food is amazing and there is so much for your eyes to feast on too with the dainty vintage decor.

What a treat and a wonderful find. We were supposed to be going to the Anderton Boat lift but due to all the road closures looked somewhere else for lunch and couldnt have been happier. Spent time looking at all the interesting trinckets then had a lovely lunch with a wide selection of homemade cakes. Poppy is a delight and added to the experience

I'm from the U.S so my experience comes from a different perspective than native U.K residents. I first walked in and thought that this looks like where you'd take your little girl for her princess themed tea party. It was quaint and cutesy looking but my friend had told me the reviews were fantastic. I couldn't help but look around and really take note of the table cloths, the vibrant pink cushions on the chairs, and the floral wallpaper. It did start to grow on me. The servers were very sweet and attentive and happy to answer any questions. The snazzy hot cocoa was something I couldn't help but get a photo of just because it was so amazing. My English Rose tea was floral and strong without being soapy. It was brilliant and bright. I could have made myself sick by drinking too much of it just so I could keep having more. The food was equally amazing and fresh, and I loved my chicken breast sandwich with the pesto mayo. Don't forget to browse the shop rooms upstairs! This place is wild, whimsical, and a little weird, and that's what makes it so amazing. I will absolutely return when I visit.

Went with my mum on a Saturday morning for a cuppa and snack. The cafe stood out from the rest of the street being bright pink and very noticeable! Small but cosy, and everyone was so friendly and happy to help. Tables were reserved but we were able to sit down at one that wasn't reserved until later. We ordered drinks and toasted teacakes. The tea was lovely (and available to buy which I noted for the future!), mum had a coffee which she really enjoyed. The teacakes were lovely and soft/fluffy and very tasty. Was offered extra hot water to top up my tea with, and I had enough milk (which so many places skimp on when bringing a pot of tea!). After we'd finished we explored the vintage shop upstairs and inevitably left with some extra goodies. So much to look at upstairs. All in all it was a lovely visit to the tearooms and the shop. First visit, but will definitely go back - would like to try more from the menu, and the afternoon tea. Highly recommend.

Our visit today was a first for me and the wife. It won’t be our last. Booked in advance for 2.30 pm. Everything was ready. Then we really did enjoy our afternoon tea. We had booked one as a vegetarian and they obliged. Scrumptious sandwiches and scone with clotted cream and jam, then cakes to follow all with a wonderful cup of tea. Great value for money. Fantastic food. Absolutely lovely staff (Poppy and her Mum I believe) we will be going again

Went for afternoon tea for 2 as a change from our usual meal out. It was absolutely full....luckily we had booked. The tea menu is very varied, a very good choice for tea lovers. Decaff tea also, but coffee isnt included. The crockery was lovely...lots of mismatched stuff which is what we like. Altogether we had 8 finger sandwiches and 6 small pieces of cake. Topped off with 2 plain scones with a little pot of jam and cream each. 2 pots of tea which held two teacupfuls each.Just enough to feel satisfactorily sated. Decor is very twee and 50s, but it fits very nicely with the general tea shop style. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and took good care of the clients despite it being busy. The Price came to just under £35 for afternoon tea for 2. That included an extra pot of tea for 1. Only thing I would suggest is more tealeaves in the pots as I found my tea a bit too weak.

What an amazing place. I came today with my 3 year old girl for a high tea, and i can honestly say it was the most delicious high tea we have ever had. The staff were amazing, so friendly, really made the experience brilliant. The shop itself is stunning. The best tea room we have visited and we will 100% become regulars. I've only given 5* because I can't rate 6*. We came for afternoon tea which included a delicious selection of finger sandwiches, a range of cakes, jam, clotted cream, and scones. Staff, and Poppy were very hospitable and sang my wife happy birthday whilst bringing out our awesome aforementioned selection of afternoon deliciousness. Wonderfully unique and quirky tearoom serving delicious cakes and afternoon tea. The decor is fresh and fun with a vintage twist. Take a wander up the steep stairs to see some fun jewellery, clothes, baby bits and vintage teasets.

Lovely place, really tasty sandwiches, and the pictures don't do it justice. I took my mum and nan here for her bday, the ladies sang happy birthday and put a candle in her cake 😊

This place and its hosts are quirky and lovely. It serves different varieties of tea in unique teapots, very nice toasted sandwiches and has gluten free bread. In addition, it serves afteroon cream tea which is popular and I will be trying with my other half, as they will cater for gluten free and I will not have to sit opposite sad and grumpy face as I eat my scone. Yippee!

What a fantastic place. My first but definitely not my last visit, lovely furniture, gorgeous china crockery and a cream tea to die for!!!! The staff so chatty and friendly and couldn’t more attentive.. Even a doggy bag to take home what you couldn’t eat. Delicious.
