Steins in Cheshire West and Chester

I ordered afternoon tea to be delivered to an air bnb we were staying at for my hen do, and the food was absolutely gorgeous. It came on beautifully wrapped and presented cake stands and individual dietary requirements were catered for perfectly, giving those people their own box of goodies. Everyone loved the food and it was soooo reasonably priced. Very impressed and would 100% recommend! Thank you 🥰

Really enjoyed this place, food was great and always love to bring new friends so they can experience it themselves. Will be returning soo so the restrictions are getting more chilled.

Just been surprised for my birthday with an afternoon tea from Stein’s. Wow! Not only was it a feast for the eyes but an absolutely delicious tea. Everything fresh, tasty, scrumptious and plenty of it too. Presented so beautifully and straight to my door….who could wish for anything more perfect. Thank you Stein’s you’ve made my day xxx

We had two of the Christmas dinners in a big Yorkshire pudding, one turkey n cranberry and a pork n apple sauce, really enjoyable and very filling, nice to have a beer too, lovely staff and owner!

I ordered an afternoon tea to be delivered to my Mum. It was last minute but they were brilliant- a fab choice, delivered on time, and delicious! My Mum was so happy with her treat thank you!!

I've been a few times to Stein's the food is home cooked and excellent value! I went with my 11 year old son and he thought it was really good as well! Can't wait for the Goulash to return, this is superb! Perfect food and friendly staff! You could ask for no more!

Can highly recommend @Steins of Chester Market for delicious meal deliveries - and all dietary needs fully catered for. An incredible Italian feast delivered yesterday was declared to be one of the tastiest lasagnas ever eaten, there were also beautiful garlic focaccias but we forgot to take a photo quickly enough before they were hoovered up! There were individual Gluten free and Dairy free lasagnas enjoyed by Coeliac and Dairy free family members - and Mandy from Steins had also thoughtfully added a GF/DF garlic bread and DF coleslaw. Fantastic food and fantastic service.

Ordered the afternoon tea for a friends birthday. They deliver it to your home which I thought was a nice touch. It arrived in lovely packaging and looked so pretty. Fantastic selection of food... sandwiches, pastries, scones, cupcakes and all so fresh and really delicious! The bread was so soft and you could tell they had been made in the last hour, maybe 2. The cakes melted in your mouth and were some of the nicest cakes we had ever eaten. Lovely touches with strawberrys dipped in chocolate! At £30 it was worth every penny. A real treat for a birthday or special occasion! Will definately be ordering again.

My twin brother Stephen and I were heading to the great beer bar in Chester Market called That Beer Place when we chanced upon Steins and what a great find. A nice stall ,lovely and inviting, great decor and furnishings and lots of seating options outside Steins . We were greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a beer each,we opted for a lager style beer, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and took in the great bar we were in. My beer was really good, a rich,well balanced and refreshing beer that certainly cut through the thirst, a very pleasant brew indeed. We both really enjoyed our beers in here and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit we were totally impressed with this bar located in Chester Market. A great bar,if your planning on visiting the market most definitely well worth checking out.

Took myself a seat as I was passing and desperate for a coffee and snack. It's very welcoming and comfy and I enjoyed a good coffee and a slice of tiffin. It got quite busy once I was settled with lunch orders and the home made lasagne looked amazing so I may have to return to try it. The place is also licensed so a cheeky glass of wine can be enjoyed too. I enjoy supporting our local independent places and this is another that I will be using again.

My Wife and I come here regularly,food and staff are excellent,this time we had the steak baguette which was amazing,always a friendly chat with the staff,prices decent too,well done Amanda and her staff!

A really interesting market hall with several places to get food .After a brief look around the various food stalls,this looked the most appealing.I had made a good choice.

Fabulous! Came for brunch and food was delicious! Tasty rosemary bread really made it special, staff were friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

Visited Chester's indoor market hall on Friday night for the first time in years, read locally that it was open late at weekends for food, absolute find, very bohemian and Stein's was a revelation, great Tapas, lovely beer, great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff, all this and prices that won't burn a hole in your pocket! Definitely give this one 5 stars and be back again soon!

Tasty food that won't break the bank & great service. We had the steaklet panini with salad & coleslaw washed down with a glass of Tempranillo wine. Lovely place to escape the wintery weather.

My wife had poached eggs on toast, great value for money! Both had tea too,lovely staff,customer friendly and a nice chat! Definitely recommend!

Revisiting the City after many years we were looking for a place to stop for lunch and came across Steins in the historic Chester Market. This is an excellent cafe with a very wide range of delicious home cooked food and freshly prepared salads at a fair price. The owner was very welcoming and we can highly recommend.

I met some friends for lunch at Chester Market and we all decided to eat at Steins.

Popped in for lunch today and ordered the beef salad. Fresh food well cooked and at a reasonable price. The ladies behind the counter were a delight with nothing too much trouble. Fair to say we will be back!

Lovely owner and staff, Lasagne really good, nice bacon and egg sandwich too with thick bread, this place is a must if you want food in the market, drinks nice price too, definitely recommend.

Popped into the market whilst waiting for a prescription, decided to have a coffee here, lovely staff, good coffee too, nice relaxing atmosphere,will definitely return for food at some point.

Been a few times. Food is beautiful and some quirky teas. Will be back again. The lovely owner makes special, so attentive to her customers. If you are wondering whether to try it out, do you won't regret it!

Top cafe in Chester Market, good choice of food, great value and great service. Good for lunch or Friday night food. Recommend the lasagne.

Been here several times and it's a pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by in the new look Chester market. The menu is basic home cooked food and the breakfast options are particularly nice including scrambled eggs on rosemary toast. Best thing about Steins is the owner Amanda who always makes her customers feel special ! Worth a visit

Me and my boyfriend came to visit Steins restaurant/bar, We had a lovely, fresh homemade meal and glass of prosecco too! The place looked lovely and clean and the staff and owner were lovely and kind and always up for a little chat! Highly recommend for anyone who hasn't been to the Market in a while!

My daughter and I stopped here to eat. I had home Cooked lasagne with salad and my daughter had chicken and bacon pannini all cooked fresh. Service was great and nothing was too much trouble for the owner. She brought over some roast potatoes for us to try too. Pleasant experience and totally recommended to all. Don't be put off by few chairs as you can eat in the food court to the side of the stall.excellent value for money too.

Found this little gem in Chester market, had a delicious panini, pot of tea, very reasonable. Lovely selection of homemade cakes as well.

We stopped for lunch and had a lovely panini followed by some freshly made chocolate and courgette cake. It may sound a bit odd but it really works!! Especially with a scoop of ice cream.
