Wild Mango in Mid Sussex

Gf decided to treat us to a birthday Curry. The most horrible peppery Madras I've ever eaten. There was so much pepper, it was inedible and the chicken was so overcooked and dry you couldn't even cut through it. Had to throw in the bin. When we phoned up, we weren't offered a refund for the wasted £50 we spent but were told we would have the next curry "free". Yes that's right, apparently if we ring up in two months time, they'll definitely remember to give us a free curry. (Sure.).. Nice way or not giving us our money back. and keeping the cash. Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely lovely food, as always with Wild Mango. Easily the best Indian takeaway in the area. Lovely Korma and Pathia, excellent Naga sauce and tasty sides.

Was surprised to see such good tandoori reviews. We got ours quite dry and tough. I managed a couple bites and didn't go back to it. (Aware that tandoori is supposed to be dry. I don't think it's supposed to be tough, difficult to chew and hard to swallow). The paneer was surprisingly good. Some of the best paneer I've had. Peshwari quite dry and totally average quality. Arrived in half the time they said.

The most weirdest experience I have ever seen, there was a man in a chefs suit from the back of the kitchen shouting and swearing! He was so angry from something that he was spitting on the floor. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. I won’t be eating here again. Vile.

We have ordered from Wild Mango a few times, whenever we’ve wanted an Indian takeaway, we always choose Wild Mango. Because their food is just delicious, the best tandoori around! Would 100% recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried Wild Mango before.

Had the best Indian the other day from this take away had a decent amount of rice and the korma had the perfect amount of sauce. Always polite on the phone too

Prawns were hard, meat was dry both in the chicken and lamb dishes. Not a great Mother's day treat.

Everything was 10/10 tonight. Could not fault any part of the whole order, we had large variety and everything was spot on.

A huge menu and we shall definitely be back for more. They're also cheaper than a restaurant. Food was ready waiting at collection time. Delighted.

New customer thought i try them ordered on line very easy delivery on time in fact 5mins early wonderful curry best I have had for a long time and will use again only downside they charge £3.25 for two average sized onion barges they need to make that af least 3 or 4 but apart from everything was spot on !

Hot food ready on time for collection. Nice popadoms and naan bread. Sad to only get 2 onion bhajis for £3.25 and no mint sauce or onion salad to accompany.

We have been ordering from Wild Mango for well over a year now, they never disappoint. The food is always so so good and always piping hot when it arrives. There flavours and vegetarian options are the best around and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. Can highly recommend, we have tried quite a few others is Haywards Heath but this is by far the best.

First order from them and will definitely use them again. All dishes were flavoursome, tender and non-greasy. Our delivery arrived right on time too.

Blown away with the customer service, Firstly was unable to get thru via phone, within 2 mins received a call asking if I had called. Placed my order for collection and again they called me back to advise it was ready earlier than the time provided if I wanted to collect earlier. I have been a hotel manager for over 26 years and this personal touch goes such a long way. Well done Wild Mango, see you again soon

Had a nice takeaway from here recently. Have tried all the Indian takeaway places in Burgess Hill, and 2 stand out as being far ahead of the rest (this being one of them). Great tasting curry, good amount of chicken in the curry, naans were excellent. Will definitely be returning, thank you!

Quite possibly the best curry I've had in many years of living in Burgess Hill! Had friends over and pre-ordered a very mixed selection of curry for delivery at a specific time. As it was a large order, did it by phone and was such a friendly experience too. The curry arrived at exactly the time I asked for. Everyone said they really enjoyed all of the dishes. I would 100% recommend Wild Mango. Just brilliant. Will definitely be using you again.

Absolutely horrified to hear that you have a customer seriously unwell after eating your food and the way you’ve dealt with it is shocking, I am glad that you are currently being investigated in regards to the food poisoning. Also claiming you are ‘the best in town’ is laughable by writing the comments yourselves.

Absolutely amazing! Cannot praise it enough, I gave up with all the so called award winning curry houses with their tasteless, watery all tomato based curries. This place has thick, creamy, vibrant with flavours that burst in your mouth. I used to have a job decided on places to host curry event nights (as dealing with a majority of Indian and Pakistani clients) if this place was a business back then, they would have won the custom hands down. Thankfully I now no longer need to travel to London to get a good curry... Unfortunately might have to get a second job as today is the 4th time ordering in about 2 weeks (all different days of the week I might add, no difference in quality)... addiction is back. Highly recommend murgh zafrani in mango specials... or anything else that!!

This was our first order and what can I say other than we now have a new favourite Indian Takeaway! We had a delicious meal from Wild Mango on Friday night which I ordered using their app. The food was all delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. I ordered the chicken shashlik which I would highly recommend. My husband had the Wild Mango Chef’s Special which was a bit sweet for me but he enjoyed. Our children loved the Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Balti! Happy family, happy times and thank you ‘Wild Mango’

WellI've used Wild Mango for about 2 years now, every weekend, without fail.Food is "ok" - nothing to write home about, but just "ok".Tonight, after ordering the same thing I order every week, suddenly it's over 30 percent more expensive.It now makes Wild Mango one of "the" most expensive indian delivery restuarants in Burgess Hill!No thanks!Whilst I paid extremely inflated price just this once, this week, I won't be doing so again. There are now cheaper alternatives (all Indian deliveries in Burgess Hill taste the same to me, apart from begal spice, which I don't like) so, will be ordering elsewhere in future, due to price.Sad, but true.Sorry.Not going to ripped off.

Always order from Wild Mango. Currently food is always great, as there was a period about 18 months ago when it wasn't as good. Food hygiene rating of 5 too. 😀

Do not use. Took over one and a half hours to arrive. Food is cheap and tasteless. Pilau rice was just boiled rice with streaks of red food colouring; onion bhaji was cold and uncooked in the middle; bhuna just boiled up tomatoes and frozen prawns. A shame as the menu looked promising.

Repaired the boiler in the kitchen.. probably the cleanest kitchen i have seen. Friendly staff. And the food is amazingly fresh. Highly recommend

We love this place. The food is always top drawer, the atmosphere is great and - and this is key - the staff are among the friendliest I've ever met.Nur gets a special mention - he always has my wife and I in stitches and always shows extra attention.Can't recommend highly enough.

OK we have not eaten from wild mango for a few years just through trying other places but tried it out once again just find it was still very good. Better than most in Burgess Hill. Quality will always win the day and stand the test of time.

Regularly order from here as the food is tasty and they deliver. Food is always hot and staff are very polite.

My go to for Indian takeaway, great service

Depending on which night of the week you order depends as to how good the curry is. On a good night the food is great, but on a bad night the difference is vast.

We have ordered from Wild mango several times now. Food was nice every time, heat level changes ( different chefs?) Portions are good, but might wouldn’t fill up a hungry lad.

Am not going to use this establishment again after being called a liar on the phone. Ordered : xx, yy plus 2x peshwari naan and a boiled rice. ( Note they call it BOILED rice on the menu and I read it from there when ordering) Food took 1 hour 30 mins to arrive with a driver apologising that they are insanely busy. That's ok, it's a wet Friday and he said an hour to hour 20 mins when I ordered. No boiled rice but have a plain naan! I phoned to tell them - straight away says - " I read your order back to you and you said plain naan not plain rice". So #1 he didn't read the order back #2 I specifically said boiled rice not plain rice so there couldn't have been a mix up. But then continues on the defensive saying that they won't swap it as it's my mistake!! I didn't even ask for it to be swapped!! Since then I've checked my receipt total and it's 65p too high for a plain naan...... Guess what : plain naan is £1.70, boiled rice is £2.35 difference is (wait for it.....) 65p !!!! Proves my order out. Food review : wife's food was ok, but chicken was extremely dried out and overcooked. My chicken was dry and overcooked. Peshwari naans were stodgy and very thick and doughy.... Overall - not a good service, food below average and I don't like being called a liar. That said, I'll buy elsewhere - Shapla has always been excellent - a little more expensive but as the old saying goes.... " You get what you pay for"

This was the last chance for Wild Mango,from us, it failed to deliver yet again on quality, flavour and price... We shall Not be ordering again from this Takeaway.

I have used Wild Mango on several occasions for takeaways, the food is always tasty and well prepared, and the portion sizes are very good. Slightly on the expensive side but the food is delivered very quickly.

First time I have had a takeaway from here and thoroughly enjoyed it .Two curries, rice,nan and papadoms for £ 17 represents very good value. Breast of chicken was cooked well and curries very tasty. Food arrived within 30 minutes of telephone order,.Will definately have again.

Ok, so we ordered the food for the second time here as the first time I wasn't really happy. I am a firm believer of second chances and thought to give it a go. But was disappointed the second time too. The lamb tikka portion was too small for one person and the lamb was dry and old. The tandoori chicken was okay I guess but was laced with food colouring. By the end of snack my hands were red as you can see in the pictures. Chicken chat poori was good and the chutney was fresh. I don't see myself ordering again from here and would rather explore some other Indian takeaways in the area.

Do not go here - they are very unreasonable - what we ordered was late & it wasn't what we actually ordered - when we rang & complained we were threatened with that they would come round and sort us out!! So definitely do not go to them for a takeaway!!

Wild Mango is the closest Indian restaurant to me so I decided to give it a go, having last been when it first opened.

Reliable takeaway Indian The Curry's are always enjoyable with a healthy portion size, friendly and helpful staff and a great delivery service! There is a reward scheme and when you spend over a certain amount a free side dish and maybe Naan bread too! We have never been disappointed!

Really gone down hil we where very loyal but now we go somewhere else as the taste is strange and we heard about the 1 star hygiene rating! So went right off it... plus it’s no longer fresh tasting just nasty

Food from here was standard. We had the food delivered and it took an hour and a half to arrive and arrived warm at best and the delivery driver was rude and grumpy. We paid by card over the phone and as I couldn't hear the beeping of the machine as I gave the card details I questioned this and was told that all card details are written on paper and then destroyed at the end of the night which. I appreciate that giving card details over the phone is very trusting and it was our choice to pay by this method, however I do not expect a restaurant to treat card details in this way.

We have been left waiting an hour and a half for food. After receiving a phone call to tell us some of the dishes we wanted were unavailable (confirming 10 more minutes till we would receive our food) another 30 minutes has passed and still nothing. If you want terrible customer service and a long wait order from here.

Sin embargo, durante los últimos 2 años cuando la comida pidiendo hemos tenido tan variada niveles de frescura y calidad que nos stoppe utilizando este llevar pero recientemente intentamos otra vez. Gran error como en Satuday nos hicimos un pedido y nos dijeron que sería 1. 30 horas antes de la entrega. . . Resultó tome 2. 40. Ludricrous! Era demasiado tarde para cancelar y no pedir de nuevo. Cuesta £30 llegamos a casi las 10 pm y era un desperdicio de dinero! !

Ordered a takeaway tonight and wish we read the reviews before we ordered. We ordered at 19:10 to be told takeaway would be delivered at 20:10, 1 hour wait for a Saturday we thought was average so we waited, then we'd thought we'd check the app for the delivery time to be surprised that the delivery time had changed to 20:40, 20:40 came and the app said order has been delivered when it hadn't, by this time we were very fed up but we waited until 21:00 and phoned to ask where our takeaway was and if there was a problem to be told we would have to wait another 15 minutes, delivery was finally delivered at 21:30 over 2 hours since we ordered it and was cold and we were very hungry any more, we will not be ordering again!

I've just had a delivery from wild mango - I've tried to call the restaurant to complain but no one was answering the phone. The take away was disgusting - the sauce in the curry was curdled and cold, the chicken was tough and there were only 3 pieces per curry, the cheese naan was raw inside, completely raw (not just because there was cheese in it) and the popodums were soggy. I should've looked at the trip advisor reviews before ordering - I had no idea it has a hygiene rating of only ONE!! I feel completely ripped off and let down.

Since March 2016 the Dansak has got worse and worse, in fact it is inedible. I have been back on and off and it has not improved. I have a feeling a very special chef may have left around that time? Shocked to see the...

Careful over vegan/vegetarian options

Qué montón de s*** wild mango en colina es pedir una comida burgess para 7:30 Primera llega 10 minutos tarde y cuando me vaya y plato que hace frío. Entonces cuando me quejo de que va a ser otros 45 minutos. El servicio es muy pobre.

I am new to Indian food... but in the oat few years I have tried every place runs burgess hill and haywards heath ... and this is buy far the best ... i crave it ... love it !!! ugh I want it now!!! ...I'm veggie and the biriani is amazing and just discovered the mushroom bahji!! my partner always has the lamb tika and the madras and LOVES IT everything is perfection ... comes with salad and popadoms and dips which none of the others seam to do... anyway WE LOVE IT !! see u sat wild mango!!! yum !!don't listen to negative reviews!!! very fresh food and huge portions !! wish them all the success!!!

Just had a really needed lovely chicken sag after a hard day of work. As always staff amazing, so helpful and generous x love the portions and actually served 2 despite a one person order. Thank you to Ali and all the fab staff and chefs at wild mango ! Best curry take away in the south!!!!

Glad we did as it's probably the best we've had!From the start - very pleasant staff on the phones taking orders, simple no fuss, collection ready in half an hour! No waiting aroundClean bright front of house, delicious smells eminting from the kitchen!The food - Hot! very tasty, very fresh, subtle tones across the palate, could not have enjoyed it any more than I did!Deffinitley the number one takeaway in Burgess Hill!

We order on the basis of an hour or less but phoning at an hour ten where told the meal had left 15 minutes ago - it arrived 10 minutes later. Driver told us he had collected minutes ago - someone is not being straight. The salad is clearly passed it's use by date (see photo) and no poppadoms included in the price arrived. Otherwise food ok!

The only Indian restaurant we order our takeaways from! Great food every time! At some point the wait is a little longer than we hope but this is only due to them being so busy as their food is incredible- order early and you will be fine!
