It seems a bit odd to choose an Indian restaurant in Barcelona, and it was very quiet... but this was a bit of a hidden jem. Food was very good.. traditional and authentic, but also a good bar for a group of us staying at the hotel next door, whose bar wasn't open so early in the season. Stayed open till midnight for us.

Such a shame we've been coming here for years but tonight they couldn't be bothered. I accept they were busy but we didn't get our second lot of drinks that we asked for. Trouble is there's no competition!

Absolutely first class . Booked a table for 8pm New Years Eve . We couldn't fault anything. The food and service were faultless and the cost was for nothing . Would not hesitated in eating here again 5* 10/10 Well done guys

Service was on a par with a motorway cafe. No care or interest. Went for the meal at 7pm and had a screaming child to contend with while talking. The restraunt didn't really smell like we were going into an Indian restraunt. Just couldn't smell cooking food. The madras wasn't exactly hot and pilaf rice wasn't the best. My thoughts were echoed by the couple next to us. Wouldn't recommend and won't go back.

Food is always really flavoursome, and consistently so. Plenty of options for all tastes. I've tried nearly everything on the menu now so I feel I can honestly review. Great service, and very comfy. Parking is free in town and surrounding area after 6.

Always get a warm welcome and a great curry (including takeaway delivery). Very central location and lots of seating. Nice and light modern interior with recently refurbished toilets that are genuinely very impressive now.

We really enjoyed dinner here last Friday night. The restaurant atmosphere was lively and I don’t remember the last time I enjoyed an Indian meal so much. Curries were exceedingly rich in flavour and nan bread found the perfect balance between soft and crispy. Service wasn’t very attentive but overall experience was great.

Fabulous takeaway tonight from monsoon. New paneer starter is awesome! Vegetarian options to suit all tastes. Thank you for restoring my faith in takeaway’s. 👍.

Absolutely love eating here. The staff are amazing and the service is impeccable. The food is always delicious and they always go above and beyond to make the dining experience something special.

+ dishes are spicy, tasty, flavorful + naan breads are amazing + customer service is polite and friendly + service is fast - some dishes are a bit oily - the price is quite premium for area, especially for a takeaway.

Beautiful venue, location is great. Food is fairly good. Service is a mixed bag — some waiters are friendly and welcoming, one or two are abrupt and borderline rude.

I have enjoyed curry my whole life and have eaten in many restaurants .The monsoon is by far the best. The food is amazing and the service is the fantastic . Friendly waiters who let you take your time. Highly recommend Shia Naga lamb shank !! J

First time dining at Monsoon, at it was perfect! Good atmosphere, lovely food, great service, even tho they were super busy! I am a fussy vegan and the man who took the food order was very helpful to make the required changes. We shall return!

We have been regulars before during and after lockdown so thought it was high time we gave a review as we take it for granted. Jay and the waiters are friendly and helpful and know exactly which table we like and have our poppodums and beers ready without asking. The menu is extensive with innovative house specialities as well as the traditional curries and all the ones we have tried have been delicious with a good balance of succulent meat or chicken or fish and sauce and a generous portion size. We have tried many many Indian Restaurants over the years the Monsoon is the best.

We ordered a takeaway for Mother’s Day. Jay and his team were very helpful. The meal arrived exactly on the agreed time (don’t expect this being Mother’s Day). As always the food was very tasty, piping hot with lots of different flavours and enjoyed by all. Best indian takeaway ever, would highly recommend. Fantastic service.

Had takeway, delivered food was hot but not piping hot. We had Prawns on Puri to start and Dansak and Chicken Tikka Karah mains both very tasty usuall side dishes good

We decided last night it would make a change to have some Indian takeaway food. I had been to eat at Monsoon a couple of times in the past and enjoyed the food and so was quite excited to eat their food last night. However, myself and my two adult children were very disappointed with the quality of the food. We each had Onion Bhajis to start and found them to be too dry and crunchy. Not sure if they were cooked fresh for us. We also found our main courses a bit bland - my Chicken Tikka Masala was ok, but not as spicy and tasty as I was expecting. I also ordered a Paratha bread, as always, but found it to be more like a chapati. All the food was eaten, but we were all left feeling disappointed.

First time using monsoon. Food arrived as expected but very disappointed with the meal. Onion bhaji's were greasy and the Bombay potatoes were like plain boiled potatoes. Chicken Bhuna was Spicy, chicken dry and there was no flavour to the dish, very bland. I love a good indian but this was the worst I've had and will definitely not be using them again. Wish that Tarana in Turners Hill delivered! Sorry Monsoon, but you were a complete let down.

Dinner for 2 which was exellent.Chicken tikka main course as a starter shared. They leave the chicken in large pieces so does not dry out.... perfectKing prawn and lamb sag as main courses with mushroom rice all cooked to perfection.There are many choices of Indian restaurants to choose from but this stands out at the top of the pack.like to consider myself a fair judge of a curry so try for yourself I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I have gone for dinner at Monsoon a handful of times over the past four years, but have always found the food to be a bit hit-and-miss, ranging from mediocre to good-but-nothing-to-write home-about. We gave Monsoon another try last night as we are not fans of Nizam, and The Gurkha does not seem to be open for eating in, and we are so glad we did! We had the Sunday banquet and it was exceptionally good. The portions were generous, the service attentive, and the food was great. The crab samosas, onion bhajis, and homemade chutneys were highlights, and I have never had a better chicken tikka masala. We will be back! Great job!

Great pizza, but I ordered an American Hot and was delivered a Pepperoni.

On the minus - A very small bag of salad between 3 people containing 1 small piece of tomato and some lettuce also no lemon for the 3 portions of onion bhaji, tarka Dahl was very watery. On the plus - chicken Tikka main - delicious & chicken tikka jalfrezi delicious

We had just arrived home on a Sunday evening after a long tiring journey and decided to go out for a meal. I telephoned to see if the restaurant was open following Covid closure, it was so we went straight up. The restaurant only had 3 tables occupied but the staff made us very welcome and were attentive. The restaurant complied with all Covid conditions as the staff wore face masks and gloves, the tables were set apart and quite bare for obvious reasons. We ordered from the takeaway menu which you kept and went for the Sunday banquet £13.95 for four courses. The food was delicious and exactly the right amount for two hungry travellers who hadn't eaten since breakfast. Would highly recommend Sunday offer and ask all locals to support independent local restaurants

We order from Monson every week - the food is lovely and they are polite and reliable.

Perfect tandoori and succulent lamb biryani would use again. Would be good if restaurant could offer range of heat variations for the vegetable curry sauce with the biryani.

We always have our main meal at lunchtime and it a lovely change on occasion to have an Indian meal. Prior to the pandemic we would often avail ourselves of the Monsoon Sunday Lunch offer. Always a very pleasant experience.

Really yummy food as usual. Sadly part of our order was missing and the food was delivered late but this has never happened before.

First time ordering from Monsoon - expected delivery time was 1hr 15mins but food arrived 30mins late. BUT food was delicious, fresh and piping hot. Worth the wait & definitely recommend the food.

Ordered online for collection and food was ready when stated which was good. Unfortunately we’ve had better Indian food. Chicken was really dry and there were only a few pieces of lamb in the curry. Maybe their in-dining food tastes better. We’ll try when lockdown is over. Can’t rate restaurant service as we got a takeaway.

Food was full of flavour, came early and great value!

It was the first time ordering from The Monsoon and dining in the restaurant is always enjoyable but unfortunately the delivery service was a bit of a letdown. It took 1 3/4 hours to arrive and wasn't very warm by the time it got here. I ordered pilau rice but they delivered boiled and the naan bread was very crispy and brittle suggesting it wasn't very fresh. The curries were nice but I had to heat it in the microwave before eating.

Food was fantastic, great to be able to order from our favourite restaurant! When we ordered delivery time was 2hrs which was alarming, but the restaurant then confirmed it was an hr. food was 15 mins late but restaurant was very polite when we called and it’s so delicious!

I have been a customer for over 40 years, and seen lots of changes in this time.It has always been a very nice place to eat with great food, great staff & service.A while back there was a short period of time with longer than expected waiting time for food due to some changes, but happy to report this seems to have long been sorted out now, I have no hesitation of highly recommending a visit.Special thanks to Ahmed for his kind attention on our recent visit, Another excellent dining experience , Many thanks.

2 x boiled rice instead of the 1 x boiled and 1 x pilau ordered. Very small naan. Minimal prawns on King Prawn purée.

Purchased another take-away from here recently. Efficient service, large portion of onion Bhaji, followed by king prawn bhuna and chicken tikka bhuna, poppadoms and a plain nan. Everything was well cooked, nicely seasoned and piping hot.

We had a girlie night out on Wednesday, can not fault the service and our meal. Food was delicious and catered for all six of us with different requests. Will definitely be going again... looking forward to our next visit!

We had a very odd dining experience in the Monsoon tonight. The staff have an extraordinary indifference to the customer. Quite unusual in East Grinstead where most restaurants and pubs are very friendly. Re the food my husbands lamb karahi was ok and my sons chicken tikka masala middling (he ate the rice and sauce anyway) but my salmon tikka tandoori was hard and dry and the cauliflower side dish cold and soggy. I didn’t eat it.This was noticed eventually and I did say it was not good. ‘We’ll tell chef’ the waiter said. Not can we bring you something else or take it off the bill. Or gosh we are so sorry. Nope. When we had our coats on and were paying the bill we did get a ‘can we bring you a drink on us?’. Too late my husband said, as you can see we are leaving.Bad service. Bad food. But worst of all such indifference showing a total lack of understanding of why anyone goes out to dinner in the first place. Customer Service training required!!

Went for a girls night out here on a Tuesday - excellent service and exceptional value for money. Starter, main course, rice & side for about £14. Beautiful freshly cooked food - will definitely eat here again.

Ordered a lamb bhuna but had more chunks of tomato than lamb in it. All food was cold upon delivery as it had been in the driver's car for over an hour. Called a couple of times for update on delivery and both times was told it would be 10-15 minutes. They should have just said they had no idea

We ordered a takeaway on Sunday. Having been here before to both eat in and order takeaways we knew the service would be great and the food tasty. We were not disappointed! We went for a meal on Sunday evening,the food and service was excellent thank you so much monsoon. My dum ka ghost was delicious.
