The king prawns were more like regular prawns and there were very few considering the cost of the dish. The prawns were also over cooked unfortunately, so they were very tough and dry. The onion bhaji’s, naan and rice were fine.

Our order was wrong. When we alerted the restaurant they attempted to say that we ordered wrong. The confirmation email showed that was not the case. We were told they would replace what was incorrect. They never did, meaning that people in our order had to go without food.

Good food as always, delivered quickly by polite and friendly driver.

Food was 20 mins late Sag paneer had no paneer in it! Butter chicken was really oily and rice portion was small. Loads of sauce and not enough meat in curries

Average food quality at best. Peshwari Naan was thin and tough with no hint of coconut m, potato dish was bland. The only positive was the portion sizes. A shame as I used to like this place and thought I’d give it another chance on a night that preferred local places are closed.

Just moved here and I love a good curry so I was sceptical everyone has a favourite one! So tonight I took the plunge, glad I did blady lovely it was! Lamb madras to try get rid of this horrible cold of mine tasty full of flavour generous amount to! The only thing I’ll say is no free mint sauce :(

Really good food. Sometimes you have to wait a bit when you collect but the end result is worth it.

I've tried a few Indian takeaways and this by far has the most authentic tasting food. They always deliver slightly ahead of anticipated delivery time too. This is my favourite Indian takeaway in this area now.

First time ordering here. Pretty disappointing as I had high expectations from the reviews. Lamb balti had hardly any meat in it and was tasteless and just full of carrots. The naans were big but dry and tasteless. Keema rice just tasted like plain rice.

I ate this and thought i had covid19. Bland tasteless bhuna and roghan josh that had never encountered salt or spice. The Korma was sweeter than my kids coco pops. The plain naan was salty. The only redeeming quality was the tenderness of the meat and naan. I thought this food was weak and flavourless.

Really tasty, arrived hot, only one issue was one of the lids on the tikka masala was not put on properly so all the sauce had spilt all over the other boxes and inside the bag.

Only complaint is I’m getting fat! Everything is very tasty! Best onion bhajis around. Most are never done enough and way to many fennel seeds. Naan bread very well done! Not doughy! I love mango chutney, and this is proper stuff not the ‘jam’ you get in some places. I’m afraid I’m a korma and person but very creamy and tasty with plenty extra sauce to dip into! Rice cooked well and not all stodgy! Highly recommend and great for a village restaurant! Support your local!

I have ordered from Velvety Ginger many times and have never been disappointed- I haven’t for a while but decided this was what we should have tonight I loved the food again as did my wife and daughter - I won’t leave it so long til next time - wonderful food delivered on time

Tried almost every curry in the area after moving out of London, this is the best in our opinion!

Food arrived 1hr 30 minutes after original quoted arrival time, that was 2hrs 30 mins after ordering. Unable to contact the restaurant to cancel order/understand the delay.... phone appeared to be left off the hook......managed to get connected once but phone was unanswered. I understand it was NYE but the lack of communication and mismanagement of the whole process means we will definitely not be using again. Very unhappy!

Found bones or big old black meat in bottom my rice my tikka also has bones and chewy wet chicken in it paid £40 for it

We order an indian take away from here about 4 times a year and every time the food has been very good. We have always enjoyed the food and generally the service is good.
