The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Recent meal here. Dined in. The meal was ok, definitely not the best, but also not the worst Indian food I have had. The chicken in my curry was a little dry and hard, bhaji overcooked. It tasted nice though and I ate it all. Fairly unfriendly staff on duty, whilst attentive it felt like I wasn't particularly welcome. Atmosphere not great.

Don’t bother with delivery! Was told on the phone it would take 1hr 20 (which is a pretty long time to begin with, but we were happy to wait) 2 hours passed and each time we called we got another ‘Oh they’re on the way 5/10 mins’ at this point we were starving and it was very late. Food was average and the service has been like this for years and they don’t seem to try and improve it as you can see from many other reviews

Absolute crap would never order from this India again. When we phone up about our order they were rude and not very helpfull. Food was Absolute shocking. It was dry and to me not even cooked With a lot of passion. Would never ever order a meal from them again

Came for an evening meal out, and unfortunately the food was terrible. All curries ordered were different yet looked all the same and wit similar taste- one sauce was burnt. We were asked how our meal was, and we spoke to the manager/owner to give the feedback and was met with a very defensive and argumentative attitude. He said the dinner wasn’t burnt without even trying it. He just said it was the Worcestershire sauce we could taste?! Mushroom rice was stodgy, again something he refused to take on board. Cheese naan was like a shop bought cheesy garlic bread. It feels like you are sitting in someone’s living room and not a restaurant. The table wasn’t even ready or set up for when we arrived so had to wait 10 minutes- we did book so you would expect it to be ready, especially when there was not even anyone sitting there or just leaving when we had arrived. Very very disappointing! Avoid!

I ordered from here tonight and I can honestly say that was the best curry I’ve had in a while! Great customer service and the best curry in st Ives

Ain't had shapla for years&this eve orderd one&what a disappointment!! Raw stringy dough in uncooked naan bread,cold tasteless chicken in greasy cold rice. My missus korma was just as bad we had a mouthful and fed the outside bin.....still poppadoms are ok but a toddler could cook them tbf

Best curry house in Devizes and i've tried them all - underrated in my opinion, everything so much better than others in the area - a great choice for takeaway!
