Stubbins Tandoori in Rossendale

Forgot part of the order, when I called to let them know, they stated they would come back and deliver it, they never did. Shame really as the food is decent but service seems to have gone downhill.

What an amazing place for a takeaway absolutely fantastic value had a mid week special chicken tikka masala and a lamb bunna both cooked to perfection.

Been meaning to try out this place for a while and finally managed to get my hands on the big tandoori box! Got the chicken tikka and donnor box and couldn't fault it at all. Perfect for sharing between two. Great customer service, very helpful in deciding what to pick and love a good chat. Easy to find parking so it's no hassle turning up to the place. Definitely coming back again, probably next week! 👍

I have recently toned down ording takeaways because let's face it they are very hit and miss but... the food here was very good, fresh, tasty and delivered hot. The meat was juicy and tasty, the samosas were soooooo good. Even my sons chicken nuggets were good. The wife said the biriani was very good (she is indian) and is keen to criticise. So very good. Great takeaway 👌

Only called in to collect something they were giving away on Facebook, but the guy who dealt with me was lovely and polite. The place was clean and tidy.

Travelled down from Scotland today, fancied a wee curry & chips, with a tikka sandwich for my wife... The food was ready nice and quickly, and was as tasty as tasty can be. The Masala fries have a right good nip to them, oh aye... The Stubbins special masala was sensational. That sauce is delicious... Only thing maybe let things down was the chicken tikka sandwich was little dry. Could maybw do with a wee bitty more sauce, but apart from that, top food from top people.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Food was an hour late. After ringing for a second time we were then told they were unaware as to where their delivery driver was. Utterly useless and complete time wasters.

Ordered over £60 of food and very disappointed! Never again. It all sounded amazing on the menu but defo was not.

Food was average. Chicken was dry and my curry was bland. Ordered a delivery which said it would be an hour but ended up being an hour and a half.

Acceptable wait time, but if using the app, the delivery cost has gone up. The food quality has deteriorated, often received warm, not hot. The naan bread poorly filled. Not how it used to be. On complaining about the food, was offered a 10% discount on the next order. I won't be taking this offer up. Sorry but disappointed too many times. Won't be giving them another chance.

Unfortunately the amount of fat and grease in the curries is unbelievable. Staff are great and friendly. But unfortunately the curries are poor. To the point I couldn’t eat it. Had to put in the bin.

We have ordered twice from here 1st time we was very happy we got a sharing platter which we loved, 2nd we wasn't happy, food took ages and the korma looked like mashed potatoes, it was so thick and tasted like boiled chicken sat in mashed coconut the kids wouldn't eat much of it. My bhuna was bland and the chicken was dry. I've given 2 stars but if had been reviewing the 2nd time alone it would be 1 star. If reviewing the 1st time it would be 5 star

We ordered for delivery last night. Amazing 🙏 mixed meat tandoori grill, lamb jalfrezi, lamb tikka starter. Also excellent naan bread. I’ve just warmed half the curry rice and naan up for lunch. Still amazing tender meat. Just 😋 delicious

New Years Eve is always hit and miss when ordering food. As we were visiting grandparents from North Wales on babysitting duty, we didn’t know Stubbins Tandoori and to be honest we weren’t expecting great things on what would’ve been a very busy night for them. How wrong we were!!!! King Prawn Sagwala and Balti Rojha, Keema Pilau and kulcha naan were absolutely top drawer. Plentiful portions. Super flavoursome and exceedingly tasty. Well done to the staff. The food used to be great with decent service. Unfortunately seems to no longer be the case. Last time I ordered half of the food wasn't delivered and it took ages to have it replaced. The food itself was only partly eaten by everyone as it was bland and all meat well overcooked. Thought we'd try again tonight as everyone can have a off day. Whilst they did get the order correct this time the food had gone even worse. Dry tasteless lamb, raw chips, peri wings that are just wings with chilli and no peri peri taste at all. Solid uncooked bits of rice. The only decent thing was the burger on the kids meal. Looking at the menu you can see they've gone from a decent place for a curry to a generic jack of all sort of takeaway and it's obviously hit the quality hard. Shame when once good businesses stop caring about customers

Fabulous food in a box if you miss this place you will be disappointed and delivered within 20 mins of time on Xmas eve very impressed. We will be back!

First time ordering for a long while, was excited to try their new box meals and my daugter got the usual kids chicken nuggets and chips. All 3 meals we ordered was not very warm at all. Very disappointing as the food actually had great potential if it was hot to eat. The burger bottoms were soggy as they had been in the boxes for some time. It has not put me off from going again but next time i will be requested to make sure it is hot!

Got the chicken tikka and donner stir fry smothered in Chipotle sauce just how I like it. So tasty so many flavours loved it! Misses got thr double peri burger what a beast that is. 10/10 would recommend. Definitely will be back soon we'll done lads

Have visited Stubbins many times since finding this 💎Gem 💎 recently. I can honestly say as a foodie this place is phenominal. Having purchased food from many places, they can always be hit and miss, one time great, other times not so great! This is definately not one of those places it is consistently right, curries are thick and the taste has been on point the first time and every time since. Customer service is also great, a young guy usually answers the phone and has a great memory of his customers. My Brother found this place, and recommended 👌 I arrived my first time to collect my order, and he was able to recollect my Brother (he had only been once). Must also add, we travel between 25-30minutes to go here, so its not like we order from Stubbins for conveniece. Well done to all at Stubbins, from the front desk to those cooking at the back! Keep up the phenominal food!

What can I say about this place… one word.. WOW!! The Sylheti Biryani Box should definitely be a award winning dish. And this is definitely the best Indian takeaway in greater Manchester if not then definitely England! The quality of the food is brilliant and you can tell they take care when it comes to presentation because it is always looking so amazing! Tried for the first time yesterday and what can I say wow. I ordered for collection, walked into a lovely shop it was beautiful and the cleanliness was second to none. Customer service was excellent the lad behind the counter had a nice chat with me and helped me figure out what I wanted next time & how I should have it cooked!! Most people just cook it spicy and Chuck it in the bag! When I arrived home I opened up these two trays and wow, as you can see, the presentation is beyond my expectations for a takeaway! These guys should definitely open a restaurant. The flavours were immense and you can tell the meat was cooked fresh, not like your usual takeaways when you can tell it’s meat from the day before. All in all lovely food, lovely staff & brilliant level of cleanliness and knowledge of there dishes. Thank you very much Stubbins Tandoori and I shall see you again soon!

It was about 2 hours late and ln Google maps it take 7 minutes to get here and even if they took the slow route it would take 10 minutes and the food was cold. Properly wont go here again.

Delivery and service appalling, over 2 hrs for delivery very poor!!!

Despite being a meat eater, I ordered the veggie madras for a change. Spot on! Had a fair kick to it, the rice was decent too. Enough food for two meals, I was stuffed (and I can eat!)

Literally waited over 2 1/2 hours! Food was so cold and bland. Have you ever had a curry in a plastic tub stone cold? Never ordering again! I understand the coronavirus has had a delay on businesses, but after calling at 1 1/2 hours and saying it is en route means they are liars too! Either say there is a delay of 2 hours or don't take orders. I never leave reviews, but I honestly feel that this place have have took the absolute p%33.

Overpowering sickening sweet taste in the massala, couldn't finish it,

I own a large warehouse in Haslingden, I’ve used Stubbins Tandoori over many years but I thought I’d use their in house catering team for my staff do last week. 75 staff members were fed by Stubbins and not one had a bad word to say about them. Everything was safe and the staff including Ash were brilliant helping me with everything, cannot thank them enough. Highly recommend for takeaways in the evening or events or gatherings, these guys can cater!

Been using this takeaway for 12 years now, the food is delicious, everything on the menu is good. My fellow food lovers.. stubbins tandoori is an absolute must.

After reading loads of good reviews we thought we'd give it a try, we ended up waiting nearly 90 minutes for the most disappointing, 1 dimensional, uninteresting food we've ever had. I ordered the mixed kebab and my wife ordered the lamb n chicken tikka stirfry and there was no difference in flavours. Everything just tasted tired and reheated. Lesson learnt - never again. Many better places in the area.

We got two mixed kebabs ,my wife and I they were really nice with lots of meat etc.the only thing was lacking was the nan bread ,I prefer it to be cooked more ie ,charcoal colour .food still lovely and tasty tho..staff are ace..

Traditionally my favourite curry shop. Unfortunately let down this evening with a late meal, the 25 minute delay not notified. The "mixed" curry contained not only meats but also a rubber band!

Stubbins Tandori is an excellent take away. Food is always brilliant, service in the shop is excellent and the delivery is always quick and efficient.

Weve been using Stubbins Tandoori for many years, always been fairly decent food. However the past few times weve ordered it's taken nearly 2 hours to be delivered!! They always say 'about 45 minutes' and it not once ever has been.Going to start using somewhere else as it's really starting to annoy.No discount offered, no free items ad apology just late.

Expensive , 40 min wait & average food. 2 kebab sandwiches and 2 kids chicken nugget meals cost £27 😲. Positive Staff were friendly.

Ordered at 6.30 had a text to say it qould be ready at quarter to 8 it never came so i called and was told its on its way. No sign by 8.15 called again and cancelled the order. Then 10 mins later it arrived reluctantly i paid up as by that time i was starving. Well wish i hadn't bothered it was rubbish the rogan was chicken not tandori as orderd in a tomato sauce not a curry at all no spices or anything. The mushroom baji went in the bin it was a watery mess the nann was thin and none of the food was warm enough. The starter of tandori bits was ok but the crap main over shadowed that. Would not go back wod not recommend rubbish food and a 2 hour wait no ta.

We have been using Stubbins Tandoori for the last two years now, hits the spot every time. Regular dishes are South Indian garlic chilli and paneer biriyani.

I'm sorry to say that I was very disappointed with our meal last night. The chicken was chewy and dry. There were so many onions in both our dishes and it tasted like the onions had gone off!

Best Indian takeaway for miles!

We have used this business through Just-eat this evening and after calling to enquire where our food was 30 mins after the given delivery time, I was met with hostility and excuses about them being busy. Whilst I understand this, communication to say the delivery time had altered would be appreciated especially when you are keeping young children up. When I asked if this may have been a possibility they hung up the phone. Irrespective of the quality of food that arrives, customer service remains equally important. Could not recommend. I don’t expect the delivery any time soon.

We have been ordering home delivery from Stubbins for a few years now and have never been disappointed with the food. Our favourite curry is Samber which they always customise according to our tastes. Last night's curry - chicken tikka samber and vegetable samber - were the best we have ever had. Not only the best curries from Stubbins but the best curry from probably anywhere! The curry was delivered super quickly too which on Fathers Day was no mean feat as they must have been inundated with orders. Cannot recommend them highly enough to curry connoisseurs in Bury and Lancs.

This is the third time I have given them a chance. If you like dry hard pre crooked meat order here. Tough lamb and chicken pieces that would bounce if you threw them. I'm done.

WOW. Amazing flavour in such depth, best curry I've ever tasted. As for the naan the bread was soft and indulgent mixed with coconut it was amazing. Great service lovely staff amazing place excellent food. Stunning is a must try!

I need to start this review by saying this might be the most delicious Curry I have had maybe ever!!!Everything was cooked to perfection, all cracking food! Tried some new things too like a lemon and chilli naan and the south Indian curry which were to die for! If you are in the area it is an absolute must!!
