north street indian in Rossendale

Wow! Visited here based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. The food here is top notch. Very very tasty indeed. We travel from Colne to visit different Indian restaurants and we will be back here for sure. Raj mahal in Darwen is very nice too 😜 our favourites still remain the Whitecroft in oswaldtwistle and abdullahs in rising bridge. Keep calm and curry on. Colne Roy😋

A little cold but it was nearly closing time, so I imagine that played a part. The curry was still very tasty though. I’ve ordered from here a few times and ate at the restaurant, they’re great. They didn’t have the drink I chose but they immediately rang me and told me what else was in stock.

Food was excellent as always but the delivery was late and left on next doors door step then the driver rang and accused us of not answering the door!! Blamed the sat nav though our doors have numbers on!

Best takeaway/delivery for a long time. Tried a couple of curries I've not had before and both were very nice. One with chips and one with rice, the chips were proper chips, not fries or oven chip, proper chips. Both curries and rice came in nice plastic containers, so my meals will last a few days. Will be using this place again soon. Very happy!!!

Food quality is perfect but We ordered paneer packora and received chicken The tiger prawn puri had 3 tiny prawns, we've had this before and it was perfect so not sure why this wasn't the same especially as its expensive. Consistency is important.

Booked a table for me and my wife for her birthday...they smashed it out of the park..the food was impeccable..freshly cooked and was one of the best Indian foods I've tasted..and I've tasted many..great staff and good value for money..my go to Indian restaurant in Rawtenstall now..brilliant.

Everything spot on, good food, had quite a lot, and all enjoyable, will be having another next week.

Fantastic food at a great price with speedy service

Called in on a Saturday evening very early. The waiters were chatting to us about our preferences and recommended some dishes, and they were delicious. The meats, lamb and chicken, were tender and juicy and the spices just right. Great food and friendly attentive service. This was our third curry house we've visited in Rawtenstall and definitely the best. Thoroughly enjoyable and will definitely call again.

Really tasty food and delivered nice and hot. Would be great to be able to tip on the app, as people never have cash nowadays. Dominos use tip jar and it’s great to be able to tip the driver.

Both curries bang on - tasty stuff fo sho. I’d reckon spring rolls and samosas could be better tho. My chill garlic prawn curry was to die for though so I’ll forgive you. Overall a bangin scran

Food was inedible, couldn't stick a fork in the chunks of meat, struggled to cut them with steak knife, impossible to chew. Extremely disappointed, will not use again.

Our order got delayed and they sent us a few bottles of beer ( Iam guessing to apologise) food arrived still hot and lovely. Thanks so much!!

Great food except one item missing but over all it is delicious

Food we had tasted nice but they missed an item from the order. Rang them straight away and they said they'll drop it off in 15 minutes. Annoying as wanted it with all the other food bit agreed for this. 5 minutes later they rang back and said they don't have a lot of drivers so it's going to be 30 minutes. I said I wasn't happy with this and hoping to now get a refund. Just annoying a refund is ok but is the minimum you should expect when this happens.

We booked this restaurant for a large group and from arriving there staff were welcoming and brilliant with the children in our group. The food was really tasty and everyone enjoyed their chosen meals. Reasonably accessible however you will need to find nearby parking but it’s worth the very short walk! Highly recommended checking out this restaurant which also does takeaway.

Food was amazing. Curry slightly more spicy than we've had it elsewhere, but really nice.

Both main meals unfortunately where not good, balti masala the chicken was inconsistent in taste? My Naga special was watery and harsh with what tasted like an oxo cube for flavour with very dry chicken. Sorry but even the papadums are soft ☹️ I have nothing positive with this meal!!

The food was hot and tasty, and delivered by a lovely guy and really appreciated the couple of beers. But I ordered a cheesy naan not a normal one and didn't get any balti rice.

Just recently the food delivery and quality has been poor. The chips are always cold and are not home made…why not? A restaurant should serve freshly prepared quality food….not frozen chips! We ordered early this evening and it was delivered much later. When I called the restaurant they apologised as they were busy!!! You are a restaurant and should expect to be busy!!

1st time ordering from North Street and pleasantly surprised to find 2 bottles of becks lager with the order - it went down very nicely with the excellent food!! Thanks North Street it made our Friday night in 😁

For some reason the past 3 orders have been very bland. No depth of flavour or heat - such a shame.

Curries are always really lovely. Just need to change their chip supplier or make their own as not always the best. Everything else we order is always really nice and is our preferred restaurant choice to eat in or take away.

What a hidden gem, glad to have found this amazing place. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the food is also incredible and great value for money. I was Suprised that the menu was a bit limited but I they have concentrated on what they do best, not trying to do everything and not doing it well. I have been in many Indian restaurants around the world, this ones food quality is up with the best. Highly recommended.

We ordered take away from here for the first time tonight and will definitely be ordering again! We had the set meal for two which was delivered in under an hour, very generous portions, piping hot, delicious food and it came with 2 free beers! Cheers!

What can I say, arrogant rude staff, over priced poor quality food, dirty tables and floor, toilets stunk. The place needs closing! If it was free I wouldn't there again.

AVOID! Favouritism, prejudice, cheeky sneering staff; high-priced, sub-standard food: what's there to like? Do yourself a favour. Go somewhere else or go home and make yourself a jam butty.

Delivery driver was lovely and the food was excellent. Only down side was that my prawn starter dish only had 3 prawns and one dish was only just warm and I had to heat up a bit. But would definitely order again as it was very tasty and they thew in a free beer which was lovely!

Tucked away at the end of a little Rawtenstall side-street is the unassuming looking North Street Indian Restaurant. The staff are friendly and welcoming but it's the food that keeps us coming back. Some of the best curries and accompanying dishes I've ever had, it's all delicious! Love this place.

Pretty good, my curry only had about 3 prawns in it though which was very disappointing. Amazing Onion Bhajis made up for it slightly though. Also, best chicken tikka in Lancashire.

Not great. There is a lot of competition in the area and this was the worst I have had yet. Fun was delayed by 45 mins, starter was cold. The rice and naan was good, but the tikka massala had very little flavour.

Our son and his girlfriend live in Rawtenstall and they had never been. We live in Rammy and didn't know this was here. Couldn't get a table at the Nila so thought we'd try North St. The waiter was very attentive and polite but that's the best I can say. The food was bland and tasteless. Four starters , four mains and not one of us was enthusiastic about anything. I had mushroom rice with chewy mushrooms and the prevailing flavour was onion. It took an hour and a half for our mains to arrive despite only two other tables being occupied. They seem to put all their resources into takeaway food rather than customers actually dining there. Not cheap and not good quality. As I said didn't know it existed and we'll now try and forget that it does.

Lovely food, great price, great portions, friendly service. What could be better? Will be back soon! Thank you
