I've never been a fan of Indian food ... don't like hot food, and not keen on rice. However, I'd heard so many good reports of this place, I thought I'd give it a try. I had my first takeaway from here about six weeks ago ... amazing! Had another one this evening ... absolutely superb! I never knew that Indian food could be this good! We'd gone straight from doing my ponies, and although we were a bit grubby and hay covered we went into the adjoining pub. We were greeted most warmly by the owner (Ian), and the young lady behind the bar was equally lovely. What a smashing place ... charming people and fantastic food. We'll be back!

Mediocre food and service a lot to be desired . disappointed

We had a really lovely meal here last night. There is a great choice on the menu and the food was delicious. We were warmly welcomed and excellent service was provided by both bar and restaurant staff. Whilst take away and delivery are options, it's such a lovely place it is a real pleasure to eat and drink there. Highly recommended.

I'm not a huge fan of Indian food, I have maybe one a year - whereas Chinese food I have almost one a week! I'm not keen on rice, either, or hot (as in flavour) food - so this was maybe not going to be great for me! However, the lovely aroma that wafts down the road when I'm with my ponies had got me interested, and we'd heard lots of good reports about the place ... so tonight was the night! I like a 'chef's special' if I'm going to have an Indian meal, because that's usually got cream and fruit in - mangoes or something similar. There wasn't one, though, so I chose a Tikka Massala, Bombay Aloo, a Peshwari rice, and Peshwari nan. My friend had a Nawabi Murgh, a mushroom rice and Bhindi Bhajee. Oh my days .... it was wonderful! My tikka massala was quite sweet and lovely, the rice was amazing, and the Bombay Aloo was to die for! I tried my friend's dishes too - and liked them. I'm so pleased that I tried this restaurant - I actually preferred my meal to a Chinese one - unbelievable! I won't be able to resist for long - I'll be back! Highly recommend - it's a 10/10 from me!

Had our first visit here last Sunday and can honestly say that from the minute we arrived we had a great experience. The food and the service was excellent. We look forward to visiting again soon

Last minute decision for a take away, 15 mins from order to collection food was lovely, and hot. They forgot the garlic naan and sent it by car 10 mins later- great service would use again.

It really is a shame to be giving the curry garden a bad review after just speaking to the owner to be told not to order hot food because he can’t follow instructions on how to place an order it’s not rocket science He is rude and disrespectful It starts off good with this place, but only gets worse as you become a Regular is lovely food but customer service is not on a previous order. We had to wait nearly 2 hours for our food after being told it would only be 45 minutes to an hour missing Items on our previous order and again on this one when trying to call no answer but stuff I didn’t order as well take note you need to be nice to your customers that spend a lot with you

Best curry I've had in a long time.

If I have said it once I have said it to many many people, this is by far the best curry house in Leighton Buzzard. Another amazing and I do mean amazing meal tonight delivered to us. Comes hot, get what you order, food tastes like the description, all the curry’s taste different (I can name a few in Leighton where that doesn’t happen) another outstanding curry, I keep shouting how you are the best. I can only say to you thank you Jon

The balti and the aloo Gobi were extremely bland and unpleasant to eat.

Visited on Sunday for the banquet. The value for your money is definitely worth it. This is a must visit if you live around Leighton and you still haven't been here for a curry! Also, the food was impeccable! I would definitely come here again!

placed order at 18.52 was then slotted between 19.45 and 20.05 no show called restaurant at 20.12 told they were busy order was on its way at 20.45 I called again to be told they were very busy he would chase the order up bear in mind the restaurant is 15 minutes away food arrived at 21.16 and cold woeful service

did not receive my order why do these companies take orders when they can't deliver because they are busy and don't tell you.

yet AGAIN part of my order wasn't delivered. I phoned the restaurant to let them know and was basically screamed at by the owner who hung up twice. I even left a note on the receipt to say not to forget anything off the order. I called a 3rd time only to be screamed at by the owner not to buy from them again. I order every single week from this restaurant the food is lovely and now can't even spend my £20 voucher I've gained from buying from them.

Delivery time stated 45 mins to 1 hour, then it was updated to 7.55, when the time was 7.55 the app was saying the food had been delivered, it had NOT! Call the restaurant to find out the driver had gone on a 8 mile round journey before delivering the food to us 2 hours and 20 minutes after we had placed our order!

Food was delicious as normal but I ordered it for 8.25 and it arrived at 7.40! So had to hurry to try and keep it warm as my son and husband weren’t him from work, hence why I asked for 8.25.

1st time I have ordered from this Indian restaurant and it won't be the last time, every dish was lovely and the keema nan was awesome.

For the second Christmas day running my girlfriend and I ate here and can not fault it. The little waiter who dropped something on a previous visit and made my girlfriend laugh when he said 'oh s**t with a dead pan face adds to the atmosphere.

Ordered well in advance of restaurant opening still managed to be 15 minutes late. Rice was cold and both Naan breads were missing from delivery.

Incompetent staff spilt 2 pints of beer all over our table ruined 2 handbags and my coat manager said oh well accidents happen his attitude was appalling no compensation such a blaze attitude will not be returning

We have recently moved to the area and this is our favourite Indian restaurant by far. We have tried lots of different dishes and find the quality superb. Very friendly staff too Definitely our go to for takeaway and eat in.

Hi, tonight I ordered vegetable samosas. Unfortunately one of them was meat! It was very lucky I noticed in time as not only am I strict vegetarian, but very allergic!

I have been to many Indian restaurants and the food quality here rivals high end chains like Dishoom in London. Absolutely excellent dishes. I particularly recommend their Madras and Butter Chicken.

We visited the curry house for my brothers birthday, having been before. We were very dissatisfied with the service ( 3 hours to have a starter and main meal for 4 persons ). There was obviously a lack of staff and had to repeatedly keep asking for drinks, napkins as well as when the food will arrive. We even had someone else’s starters, which had to be returned to start off the proceedings! I would very hesitant to book again as the last reviews were made some time ago !

Doesn't matter what the food tastes like when its late (over an hour). Either estimate you'll deliver it later or chuck in some extra poppadoms. Really poor. Called twice, said they will call back but didn't. One more curry house struck off the list.

Diabolical, told 1 hour delivery and took 2 hours. Called and the phone was hung up on me.

Absolutely diabolical. Waited 2 hours for food after firstly being told 1hr and was then fobbed off being told it was on the way. Dreadful customer service on the phone and was hung up on. Finally received 2 hours later. Never will I order again, this was my first and last time.

I have visited The Curry Garden many times over the last year (and had takeaway) and have never been disappointed despite reading a few questionable reviews. Contrary to these I have never found complaint with the food. The portion sizes are generous, so much so we often end up with leftovers for the next day. The food is hot, fresh and delicious every time. Service is on point and the staff are helpful and friendly including accommodating an off menu request.

Food was excellent and arrived hot. The driver was very apologetic about the delivery being slightly late. Will definitely order again.

Food was much later than expected and after chasing twice it was delivered cold. We heated in microwave and it was nice but ordered at just gone six and heating up food hours later ourselves wasn’t the point of ordering a take away.

Don’t ever pay with cash as just eat don’t want to help . The restaurant wanted to order next time directly with them and they would “do” something no idea what that would be . Avoid them and just eat and never actually pay with kings currency cash

I always order from here as the food is great, usually expect a long wait on delivery though, but an hour and 45 minutes from acceptance to delivery is awful!

Order from here all the time, although usually over the weekend. Ordered on a Wednesday and disappointed. The curry sauces were very watery, popadums soft and chewy. Shame midweek food quality isn’t as good as at the weekend.

We were reluctant to try this restaurant based on some of the other reviews. They have been proven wrong. We have been coming here very regularly for over 8 months now and the food and service have been consistently brilliant. The portion sizes are very generous, the quality of the food is fantastic and the prices are excellent. Highly recommended restaurant.

Great food and a very good service

Although the food tasted ok. 3 out of the 4 main dishes were severely lacking in chicken. There were only 4 or 5 pieces (small) in each portion. The rest of the dishes were bulked up with tomatoes and peppers. Severely disappointed as the restaurant charges a premium price of £9.50 per portion. Not happy at all

Incredible food as always, was 10 minutes late once I had arrived to pick it up, but they had only just opened which is fair enough. The food was more than worth the wait though!

Food was lukewarm but not the worst ever. Delivery driver hurled insults at me as he drove away. Will not be using again.

I called the restaurant to say that the food had been delivered 30 mins early and that my partner would not be home to eat it for 30 mins. They delivered another order straight away. Would appreciate a discount next time.

Best Indian food ever eaten . Top marks in everything

Very average. Pilau rice was plain boiled rice, balti didn’t taste anything like a balti, not did the jalfrezi. It all tasted the same as if it was pre-prepared and the soggy vegetables would lead me to think that at least some of it has been frozen and re-cooked. Passable for a hungry man but won’t rush to return.

Really enjoyed this. First time order from here - everything was great except the naan could have done with a bit more flavor but this is a very minor gripe in comparison to the quality of the rest of the food on our order. Would deffo order from here again!
