Went there the first Saturday after the relaunch as Sahil’s Spice, was pleased to see the changes in the decor, my wife and I had the mixed platter starter and our son went for the Lamb samosa, both were delicious and well presented. I went for a standard main a Chicken Dansak which was spot on, the wife had South Indian Garlic Chilli which was delicious, my son normally likes it a hot Naga decided to try the Royal Masala which is a Masala but made with a Naga chilli sauce it was delightful combination and he thought must have again in the future, the various vegetables and rices dishes we had was very good, the Garlic + Chilli Nans also good. Service was a little erratic, but to be honest it didn’t bother us the whole experience was superb.

Excellent food and service - highly recommended. Note that the restaurant is now called Sahil’s Spice and is under new management.

After closing in January, after a full refurbishment, another restaurant opened its doors on 19 March 2024.

Ordered online, money taken, waited an hour to be then told they are closed! Awful service

Ordered through just eat, the order was cancelled, I have called the restaurant and they have said they are currently being refurbished, despite showing as open on google and just eat! My money has been taken as well. Fuming

Placed an online order for delivery. Never arrived. Then had the gall to tell me I had to go in to the restaurant to get a refund rather then doing it over the phone. NEVER USING THEM AGAIN.

This was our first visit to Methi for many years. The restaurant has very recently changed management and I would definitely recommend it. The food was extremely tasty and well cooked. The prices are reasonable and portions generous. We tried some dishes we hadn’t had before and weren’t disappointed. The service was friendly and efficient, Aleisha was very welcoming and friendly.

Asked several times for my data to be removed and I keep getting spammed. They kept mu mobile number after I enquired about 1 booking. From there they keep spamming you. Several emails, calls and messages later, they still keep spamming me. AVOID!!!!

Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Great service and foods was amazing. Place is very clean. Would really love to go back with my friends and of course my family.

Listen where do I start this place is honestly amazing I highly recommend you try this place you won't be disappointed I had the harayali chicken masala wow it's a game changer I don't do reviews but I know people go by reviews so I thought I'd tell you guys about this place atleast give this place a try and you will be writing a review after for your self.

Great waiter, Ricky, and great service. Comfy atmosphere, modern design. We just walked in, didn't need to book. Friendly and helpful advice over the dishes. Veggie Dhansak was tasty and spicy but not too hot. Chicken madras was excellent. The poppadums were amazing. Coffee and cream was a nice touch. Very reasonable price for food.

Great meal. Ricki was our waiter and was absolutely superb. A fantastic person. The food was delicious. We will be coming back!! Thank you Ricki!!

Excellent meal and service. A nice place if you like Indian / Bangladesh food, however I must say the spice content was lower than expected, obviously playing to the European taste.

Visited midweek in a group, walk in trade. Place looked very clean and welcoming. Staff friendly. A few other tables but not busy. Orders taken swiftly. All had starters and mains. All dishes came out in very good time and were well presented and superb. Good value for £24 each for mains ,starter and beers. Will definitely return.

Found chicken in the Vegtarien dishes. Definitely not pleasant, as staff did not seen bothered about allergies or dietary requirements. Food was bland and extremely spicy (curry stated as mild but was very hot). Poor service.

Awful experience with takeaway delivery. Phoned to order for a takeaway and was told the food would take 40 minutes. After 60 minutes and several phone calls later saying food was on its way still nothing! So hungry we had toast for dinner! Then suddenly after 90 minutes the food arrived cold, i told the driver this was unacceptable and we didn't want it! He was very rude and no apology. I phoned the restaurant to complain and they said the manager would call me but heard nothing. Bad service! Will never order or eat in Methi ever again! :( 😞

My partner and i were so looking forward to a nice Indian takeaway tonight after a long week. We usually eat in the restaurant in town regularly, but on this occasion ordered a takeaway. We have had a few takeaways occasionally and the service has been quite poor but we have let them off. We ordered directly with methi over the phone as they advised us to do rather than Uber ests. We were told tonight the food would be 40 minutes. After 45 minutes there was still no sign of food. Several phone calls to the restaurant later they kept saying the food was on it's way. After 90 minutes we were so hungry and fed up we had some toast for dinner. Eventually after 95 minutes there is a knock at the door and the food has arrived. By now its too late i told the driver i know its not his fault but we were not happy and did not want to pay. He took the food back and was very rude, and unpleasant. Its a Shame that Methi would rather throw food in the bin than keep regular customers happy. So we will never be eating in the restaurant or ordering takeaway from them again!! 😒 Awful servive! Will never reccomend you! Goodbye Methi, we will spend our money elsewhere !

I recently went back to the Methi after a bit of a break due to all sort of things. There are a lot of old favourites on the menu. But also new and excellent things added. I had the great Handi Goat and added on the side chickpeas and ginger. Apparently some of these items are relatively limited to a few portions a day and so go early to avoid disappointment. Only thing just because you can set led ribbon lights to do a colour change sequence doesn't necessarily mean that you should.

Appalling visit on 16th September 2022. Just a shambles. Got served the wrong starter, my son's starter was tasteless, my main course (Chicken Biriani) was dry, overcooked and inedible, and they ran out of draft lager. When I mentioned this, they looked at me like I was mad and I had no apology - I got the impression they didn't care.

Busy Friday night service, so some slack, but overall poor. Drinks: ran out of draft beer, started pouring pints of Carlsberg from cans. House wine changed from first glass to second. Starters: Got one order wrong, replaced it with the correct order which was potentially microwaved (one samosa was hot, the other stone cold inside). Other starter - a bit bland. Main courses: Chicken biryani meat was inedibly dry, lamb chewy - though the sauce on the lamb was great. Service was slow and staff seemed annoyed when issues were raised.

Shared a meal with my youngest daughter for a late birthday....5 stars

Very delicious full flavoured dishes. We enjoyed it immensely and will definitely return. The best Indian in Leighton high Street!

Lovely food and loads for banquet night . Although charged about £5 for bottle of Evian Water . But overall good night out .

Curry is the best around. They've also refurbished and it's lovely. Well worth dining in. Lovely staff, too! Edit: fantastic take out! Well worth it for a night in.

We had a very good meal here and the decor was very smart plus the service was excellent. Nice pickles with popadoms The onion Bhakis were crisp but maybe lacked a bit of flavour but our main dishes were excellent

Fancied a curry whilst in the area and this was the first restaurant I passed. Ordered from the banquet menu @ £14.95 and wasn’t dissatisfied. I ordered pappadoms and they were crisp; fresh and served with the perfect accompaniments - mint yog, tomato chutney, lime chutney and onions. Faultless. My starter was the lamb chops and whilst under marinated; they were still delicious: The 2nd, 3rd and 4th dish of the banquet (I opted for rice and naan rather than a side and just a choice of bread or rice) was superb. Lamb vindaloo; full of flavour and whilst not as spicy I would normally have; was made up In flavour. Good rice and exceptional light and crispy naan. Pints of cobra served on draft perfectly. I paid £25 with two drinks and was very satisfied. Staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming

Ordered a takeaway from here for the first time tonight. Was reasonably priced and good size portions but unfortunately although the sauce was very nice the chicken was extremely dry. After calling the restaurant and explained I didn’t want a refund but wanted to let them know they insisted on delivering me a New dish and was very apologetic. Will definitely be ordering from here again due to the good customer service and quick response

Best Indian Restaurant in Leighton Buzzard.

Chicken tikka masala was far too spicy so I couldn’t eat it. I order a curry I normally can manage that isn’t supposed to be spicy, I’m very disappointed. First time visit as well… probably the last!

Have been a customer for 18 year's plus, ever since it's changed hands the food plus customer experience has been awful. Ace if you're reading this they're not a patch on your crew. Won't be using Methi again.

Visitors to L-B, very happy. Shared an Onion Bahji ~ just lovely, crispy on the outside, all the right flavours, good yoghurt sauce, right size. Shared peshwari naan ~ fluffy, right size,not too sticky ~ and saag aloo ~ lovely not too buttery, had a complementary mushroom rice ~ delish ! I had a Pathia, perfect, good quality chunky pieces of meat, right flavours and heat. He had a Lamk Shaslik Massala, not somethine we've come across before (our local is Bangladeshi too) he very very happy., thought the flavours were just right. Good pint of cobra too. Happy travellers !

Went for a meal with some friends first they said we don't have a reservation it was like they didn't want to serve us our starter was cold but they didn't care and when the bill came it was over £20 to much and he tried to say it was right eventually he agreed and when we were leaving he said all foreigners are the same we didn't say anything we just wanted a meal not stress but we won't ever go back

Don't even want to give one star. Partner had the korma and the chicken looked undercooked as it was still pinky. Called restaurant to which I was greeted with laughter and told it wasn't pink even though he hadn't seen it. Will not be ordering from here again. Make sure you check your chicken everyone👍

Easily the best curry in Leighton Buzzard. The flavours are amazing and the spices are just right. I cannot wait to visit again in person.

Had an excellent takeaway last night. We collected it 30 minutes after ordering as we were too hungry to wait for an hour+ for delivery, which is understandable as it was Friday and we’re in lockdown. Anyway, the food was lovely, no complaints at all.

This place charges a very cheeky 50p service charge on all takeaways, regardless if you pay by card or cash. You're already paying for the food and there isn't much service on a takeaway. I got my curry somewhere else.

The Methi used to be the best Indian in LB, it was always slightly more expensive than the rest but worth the extra buck. Certainly not the case now. I had heard that the food had gone downhill recently from other people in the town...

Rubbish waited over 2.5 hours was fobbed off twice when I called to see where my food was. Still waiting for refund. Diabolical service!!

Bear in mind I'm vegetarian, so can't comment on the meat. Food, service and presentation are all very good. Much, much better than the average restaurant of its type. I mean, it's not La Porte des Indes or Veeraswamy, but for a provincial town it's great.

A regular here as i live close by. The staff are always very friendly to myself and my family. They are tge main reason i go back atleast one a week or order, along with the scrummy food. Even when they have difficult customers they always manage to deliver.

The Methi is our favourite Indian restaurant In Leighton Buzzard. We had the banquet for two which turned out to be absolutely enormous and could have easily fed three. Food was good quality although unfortunately the meat wasn’t as tender as it had been on previous visits. The banquet was good value although the drinks prices were a little high. Prompt efficient service. On a Saturday evening, the Methi was doing a brisk trade.

Went there with my husband about 8pm on Thursday. We were the only customers!!!!! Food was just ok. Really nothing special. I won't be returning to this restaurant.

Had a curry here on friday night.... by saturday morning i had the worst food poisoning i have ever had in my life! By saturday night i was in A&E on a drip and anti sickness. Still havent recieved a response from the manager or any sort of apology. Awfull overall experience, would not reccomend.
