Im unhappy with my order. Unfortunately due to ordering as a guest I've had trouble accessing this order. Unfortunately the entire order was disposed of as completely inedible. Completely burnt and swimming in greese.

This just didn't hit the spot tonight, the Jeera was absolutely overwhelmed with cumin seeds, you couldn't taste anything else. The onions weren't soft they felt like they hadn't been cooked very long. Usually these guys are good but we were disappointed tonight.

Speedy delivery arrived before estimated arrival time. Driver friendly and happy. Food was delicious, perfectly flavoured dhansak with lamb falling apart in my mouth. Coconut rice evenly blended. Paneer cooked to perfection. Onion bhaji spot on. Salad fresh. potato side was amazing, potatoes melt in the mouth with nice spicy sauce such lovely free surprise. Would definitely highly recommend

Have ordered several takeaways f rom here over the last few years and have really enjoyed them. Friends have also commented how much they like the food. But the latest one was just dreadful. Really salty and just spicy rather than flavourful. The naan was tough and dry, I threw it away. I appreciate food prices have increased but the price has also shot up massively. Won't be ordering from there again .

I have been hanging in there with this restaurant as I perceived it to be a good all rounder but it has dropped off from previous visits time and time again. Previously i have had incorrect orders, watery curry, bland and over spiced. It just can’t seem to send out a decent order anymore. My last meal was terrible, tasteless and opaque in appearance, bland would be an improvement. The meat is hit and miss sometimes appearing to be more coated and cooked in a conventional oven, often being of a strange texture. Probably had 6 meals from here and at least one person has complained to the point of not eating it each time. If you don’t order poppadoms you get a couple free, if you pay for a couple thats all you get.

Amazing bunch of people, I was working away and was in my work clothes, and the other Indian establishments turned me away in the area, and I was given a warm welcome and amazing authentic food, will 100% be back again when in the area, amazing place

The food arrived late and it wasn't what we had ordered. The Biryani's were replaced with prawn fried rice and vegetable curry, which contained sweet corn. The onion bhaji's were rock hard, cold and tasted of rancid cooking oil. Have ordered many times from The Pearl of Bengal, but won't be doing so again.

Arrived hot and delicious, with fresh fried fries as requested. Both naan breads were very plain again, otherwise would've been a 5/5.

Quality was edible. Had better from here before. Unsure I'd order again. Lamb was tough and gritty. Naan wasn't cooked properly. Portions are large which was nice. Free potatoes but doesn't make up for poor quality food. Mushroom sparingly

Curry was decent, poppadoms fresh and crisp, nice free sweet potato dish. I ordered garlic naan... got a plain naan. The bhajis were like old rubber balls. Definitely not fresh. Fries were just sad and soggy. So it was just average overall.

Excellent food, well cooked and good sized portions. They always put in a little extra pot with the popadoms, and spicy potato’s free of charge.

After a drop in quality last year, they are Back to their very best. Excellent. One of the best in the area

Really delicious and best Indian take away we’ve had round here. Only thing we didn’t like was all the onions in the chicken balti dish was way toooo much. But will defo order from here again :)

I feel as though the pearl of bengal has changed chef or Ingredients, rice was dry, Balti sauce was slightly watered and had less flavour. This used to be my favourite curry house, for now I will not order and wait to hope they get back to their best in the future!

Appalling customer service, manager was rude and shouting down the phone. Onion Bhaji starter x 2 ordered but only salad and mint sauce for one delivered. Driver said he would organise delivery of missing items, great I thought. After 30 minutes I rang the takeaway and was told the manager would phone me which he did 7 minutes later. I explained the situation and was informed that what I had received was correct. I queried this as when I order just one onion bhaji starter I have always received a bag of salad and 2 pots of mint sauce exactly what we received tonight for two onion bhaji starters. He started shouting and then inferred that I was lying as they only send one pot of mint sauce out per starter and he would not send anymore out tonight they were too busy. He did offer to add a pot to my next order but what use would that be. Stated salad and mint sauce are not part of the starter but a good will gesture, obviously goodwill only applies to the first customer not all parties. I would rather have the extra salad and sauce than the disgusting pot of potatoes in oil they send out as a freebie with every order (always goes straight in the bin) He asked what I wanted to do to which I said it didn't really matter as the food was cold anyway. It had been forty minutes since delivery. He then went off on one about how he had been standing in the kitchen when our food left so it wasn't cold and I was trying it on (for 2 pots of mint sauce and a bag of salad, haha I do set my sights high). I never at any point said it arrived cold just that it was now. This is not the first time this gentleman has been rude and patronising. I let it go last time because he corrected an incorrect order (took nearly an hour to do so though). Will not be using this takeaway again but I am looking forward to the inevitable 'blame the customer' response from the takeaway.

The best curry house in Flitwick, and I've tried them all. Curry style is not modern, and is classic 1980/90s. Staff very polite and friendly.

Regularly order takeaway from here as I'm very local, generous portions and great flavour. I can honestly say I have never had a dish I wasn't totally happy with. The delivery is always quick in my experience. Recommended.

Have ordered regularly from this place for several years and have always had a decent meal delivered promptly. Always get free poppadums and Bombay Potato. Reasonably good value for money in my opinion

Were do I start it’s the first time ordering from here I love Indian food the special biryani was bland. It seem to have no flavour at all and then there is the naan which was burnt the filling was okay, but you can’t just eat the filling the mint sauce well that was just runny. I’ve had a lot of mint sauces from a lot of different Indians and that is by far the worst I have ever had. Definitely will not ever order from here again so disappointed. the only good thing was they arrived early

Food was incredibly disappointing and by far the worst indian i have had in many years; the chicken curry was almost inedible. Also we ordered saag aloo, which must have been mixed with another order, as we received a complete different dish which was not very pleasant and went straight into the food recycling bin. Pricing was good, and the prawn curry was just about edible I'd rather spend an extra 10% and actually receive something i enjoy eating, as opposed to forcefully eating it in order to satisfy our hunger. Avoid if you can.

Tandoori duck was 6 pieces of small meat and a bit of onion for £9.95, no taste and very disappointing

Absolutely terrible food. Took it back the next day as we couldnt eat our takeaway and was told to fuc* off by a very nasty man behind the counter. He also Tried to force us to sit down whilst he was doing an order on the phone. Very disappointed. First time trying. I will never return, as he asked of me not to! . We did not get our money back and in still hungry. Thank god spice is down the road.
