The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

We had chicken korma it was full of water and tasteless. The same with the kuppa chicken. Very expensive and not worth the price. We stopped going there for a couple of years but thought we’d try again. Sorry to say we won’t be going back again.

Not as good as the last time we were in Brixham sadly. We were staying up at Hillhead (campsite) so ordered a takeaway for delivery. Friendly staff taking orders and said it would be within the hour, and that the delivery girl would call when leaving the restaurant - which she did. It was only 25-30 minutes so we were pleased with the service. However, on checking the bag when returning to our camper there was no veg curry with the biryani??? Absolutely no point in calling to complain as the rest of the food would've been cold by the time they'd delivered the missing dish. We had ordered a veg balti, as an extra dish, so it wasn't the end of the world, just disappointing that we were 'short changed'. The food was hot and tasty but not sure we would use again?

Really lovely meal and fair prices, apart from water which was expensive, we just wanted a glass of tap water, but maybe we should have explained that. Apart from that I couldn't fault it, they accomodated a change to the curry I ordered, as I am a veggie and it was delicious. Staff were very friendly, so overall a good experience and would definately go there again.😁

Always have a home delivery. This is my favourite Indian curry around. Highly recommend

Ordered Tandorri Sizzler got 2 chicken legs only. To be fair they were nicely cooked but I’d expect a lamb chop, chicken breast and seekh kebab - that’s what you’d normally get. I’d have happily paid £5-8 more. Just felt hard done by. I emailed the restaurant asking what you get and they told me to look at the menu which just says tandoori sizzler!!

TERRIBLE!!!! Popadoms arrived promptly with poor chutney selection and no side plates! Then we waited and waited and waited! Food took one and a half hours to arrive. Poor quality food and not enjoyable in any way. People around us were threatening to leave. Asked for service charge to be removed. Won’t go back there!

Ordered two different types of curry and rice when they arrived at the table It looked the same only the flavour was different. Not the best Indian.

Stopping in Newent for weekend. Ordered take out curry. What'a menu. Fabulous selection. Walked in - lovely spicy aromas. People eating in looked happy. Only disappointment was food should have been ready for collection at 8.50 and didn't come out of kitchen until 9.15 and I was ravenous. Anyhow the food was well prepared, very tasty and worth the wait.... Recommend if you're in the town......

Great Indian - well presented - good service and really good food . Loved the Tandoori King Prawn and super crispy Bhajis . Nice bright space with plenty of room to pile up the dishes 😃. Thanks for a great night - my now go to local Indian.

I'd give this place 0 stars for service if I could, but since that's not an option, I'll settle for one. Our experience today was awful from start to finish. When we walked in, an older staff member looked at us like we were stupid just because we wanted to order a few starters. He took our order, but barely looked at us and seemed completely uninterested. The food did take a reasonable amount of time to arrive, but what really stood out was the complete lack of engagement from our server. When he finally brought out our food, he didn't even acknowledge us - he just held out the bag and handed it over without a word or even making eye contact. The contrast between his initial unfriendly demeanor and the otherwise acceptable wait time for our food made the experience feel particularly disappointing. As a result, we'll be taking our business elsewhere and exploring other options that prioritize customer service.

Great food and atmosphere. Service was great. I ordered the prawn puree for starters which was perfect. For mains I had Garlic Chili Lamb which is the best garlic chili i have had in a long time. Thank you Karma for a great evening.

Took my Mum for a curry for Mothers Day and decided on a new venue for us. Excellent food and service and will definitely return.

Ordered delivery for quarter to 7 and hasn’t arrived 40 minutes later tried phoning up to ask where it is 10 minutes ago and I live less than 5 minutes away and it’s been coming any minute now for the past 10 minutes. Didn’t get anything but attitude when I phoned them aswell
