Terrible customer service awful a really rude man on phone if u want a curry go elsewhere never again

Another fab meal with prompt delivery, food is soooo good and really great value compare to others that are nowhere near as good! Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed

We all really enjoyed our meals tonight, but the one complaint would be how dry the tandoori chicken is. When it mentioned about being infused with yoghurt, I imagined the chicken coming in a lovely, rich, thick and creamy sauce, which sadly it didn’t. On its own, it was very dry, and wouldn’t have been edible, but they did send a pot of a yoghurty sauce which was perfect to dunk the chicken in- trouble was the pot was tiny! A bigger pot or more pots were definitely needed! All round 8/10

pushed back from original time of 5.45 arrived at 6pm after pushing back to 5.50...worth the wait tho was lovely. lamb could have been a bit more tender.

I ordered at about 7:15 it took nearly 2 hours to get to me. I got told it would arrive at 8:15 it didn’t arrive until 8:55 I’m very disappointed and would like a full refund

I only went for some Onions Bhaje, but they were the best I have ever tasted.

Good food as usual but the original Just Eat order page gave us a total delivery time of 35-50 minutes. After paying for the order, this increased to over an hour. The order didn’t actually turn up until 2 hours after we paid, after us phoning up the restaurant to find out where it was.

Food was lovely and arrived earlier than the estimated time, unfortunately missing a rice when I rang them directly they weren’t very helpful and just said they would give me more next time. Bit disappointed to be honest

The food was so late. From order to delivery was over two and a half hours. On speaking to the restaurant they said they were too busy. My argument would be to not take so many orders, or employ more staff to cope with demand. We’ve had similar experiences from the Indian, but never this bad. They then amended the arrival time online and the food arrived freezing cold. A waste of money, north of £40, for two meals, two sides and one starter. Expensive too.. we won’t be using Argee Bhajee again.

Agree Bahjee’s is always great. But even though it was busy, it was even better tonight!

Excellent food! Have lived in Exeter for a year now and tried and been disappointed by most Indian restaurants. This is the first Indian food I have enjoyed. Well done!

Order was cold when arrived. The delivery driver didnt read the correct address given even though delivery instructions were given. Very disappointed.

Unfortunately the food wasn't good. Very salty and the chicken was tough and chewy. Cardamom pods were in the curry so crunched on one or 2 which changed the flavour. First and last time ordering here for me.

✨️Had a take away from here the other night. Had the set menu for 2 which came to about £40. Spenny I know, however it lasted us over 3 days for dinners and lunches as there was so much of it ! 2 main dishes, 2 side dishes, 1 little side dish plus 1 naan bread and 4 poppadoms with the extra sauce and salad. Great for a weekend treat ! Would recommend the set menus if you can't decide!

The popadoms were a bit soft not as crispy as they should be, the jalfrezi was quite watery no sauce to use for popadom/ nann and the nann not toasted enough you could taste the butter/ see the butter. We have had better from this restaurant.

We ordered a chicken biryani, Butter chicken and lamb bhuna. The butter chicken was nice, lamb bhuna not as good as usual, the biryani veg curry tasted like the powdered spices hadn't been cooked out and was well below your usual high standard, hopefully just a blip because we usually love your food

Delivery time changed from 20:05 to 20:35, food arrived at 20:50. Notification saying food was on way at 20:15. It arrived cold and wasn't pleasant at all. Won't be ordering from here again.

It was alright. Hit the mark, all was tasty and almost hot. Tikka masala tasted a bit watery, rice was a bit claggy. Prawn puri was the highlight, bread and prawns both delicious.

I collected a takeaway this evening and all of the dishes were excellent, there was a generous amount of each including meat and everything tasted great.

Phoned up for a delivery but could not get back in time so picked it up from the shop but got charged delivery phoned up the next day but he put the phone down twice as he stated he didn't speak English

Pre ordered food before the football which I thought would not make it delayed. Received a notification which stated food will be delivered at 6. Food arrived at 6.45, rang the restaurant twice and they advised it’s been delivered and they updated the app from their end at 1835 to say it’s been delivered and enjoy the your meal. Male on the on the phone was rude and very unhelpful and hung up the 2nd time I rang. Very disappointed

The lamb bhuna was exceptional, great pilau rice, ordered poppadoms and it came with onion salad and raita. Highly recommend this restaurant, we had a take away that arrived promptly and only cost a £1!

Food was not great, very disappointing

Got food poisoning. Have always eaten here and never had a problem but this time it gave me and my Son a stomach bug as we were the only ones that had the food.

Received the wrong order on my curry. I ordered a pathia and it says I have a dupiaza but I don’t think it’s that either? A shame as I’m never let down by arghee barji

Just had our order arrive. Mums was fine but mine said dupiaza when I ordered a pathia. I didn’t mind as I like a dupiaza but it wasn’t that either. Tasted like a Chinese curry which I’m really not a fan of. Disappointing

Have had a few takeaways from here over the years which have all been good. Had sit in meal with a friend. The tikka Marsala is really nice. Strangely, they did not have two of the soft drinks on their limited selection. As other posts say, they don’t serve alcohol but you can take your own. What we ate was very nice and the service was very attentive. Restaurant looks nice and clean and fresh. Just one thing- I did not like the TV on with lots of frantic Indian dancing on it, it had lots of strobing lights which we both found uncomfortable. If I was epileptic it could have caused a real problem. If I was the owner I would leave it off or just have some rolling Indian nature shots on there! Prices average. Had warm hand towels and after eight mints and oranges at end which was a nice touch. Would go back.

We had our first meal from Argee Bhajee delivered. Prawn bhuna was really good and met our expectations King prawn Dhansak again a meal that was absolutely lovely and I devoured it. The side dishes were perfect too We've found an Indian restaurant/take away as good as the one we have used for the past 25 years but left behind when we recently moved here, we're very happy about that and will eat in and out. Delivery was on time as booked. Can't fault anything related to our take away

The delivery was over 1 hour late from a 40minute quote time. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again due to the lack of communication, concern for the customers and the unnecessary waiting time. When we called to query where the food was and asked for an estimated time for delivery the male on the phone was extremely confrontational and rude. I would not recommend this restaurant.

The curries are lovely, the starters are steps above any other restaurant I've ordered from over the last 15 years. The prices are slightly higher but they're worth it.

Went with friends and had the banquet meal which is very good value. The food is very good and served on hot plates which is always a plus for me. The staff are friendly and helpful. They don't serve alcohol but you can take your own and pay corkage.

Really tasty however opened the mint sauce and it had expanded like it had gone off, I tried it and it was super sour. I also had so many of those funny tasting things in the rice.

It’s quite a while since we had a takeaway from here, but OMG it was so good. We had chicken tikka buna balti, peshwari chicken, chana bhaji, pilau rice, garlic nan and popadoms. All delivered on time and piping hot, by a very polite young man. Great quality food, all nicely spiced, first class customer service.

Use to be one of the best Indian takeaways in Exeter by a long way but it’s certainly not what it use to be. Portion sizes reduced (chicken chunks in dishes) & it appears you no longer get complementary popadoms after spending nearly £70. I think the gesture of free popadoms goes a long way but it seems this has now stopped. Sadly we wont be going back after being long standing loyal customers of 10+ years. Time to find another takeaway who are more focused on looking after customers.

It saddens me to say it but this place isn't what it used to be. It's my favourite Indian ever for flavour but for a pound extra to have lamb in a curry I would expect to be more than 4 5p size pieces in there. Was pretty much just sauce

Arrived 30mins earlier than predicted by Just Eat. We had two curries, naan, rice and sag aloo; all were hot, delicious and good value for money. Would definitely order again.

no bar anymore, expensive and I only got three pieces of meat in my curry. if I go vegetarian I want it to be my decision, not some penny pinching chef.

The best Indian take away in Exeter!! We moved from one side of the city to the other a few years ago and STILL go back here when we want an Indian meal. Never had a bad meal or experience, collection or delivery. Very highly recommended.

Very disappointed with the service! We were over charged for food and when confronted we were told that there had been a price increase of 10%. We picked up a menu when in the restaurant and no increases of prices were shown, no information on display in the restaurant and we were not told in person or over the phone when we ordered. We will NOT be returning!
