The service is always fantastic. I love their strawberry mojito mocktail. Nice ambience and lovely decor. But the food isn't great especially the vegetarian dishes it's also overpriced and the portions are small. The vegetarian dishes were bland.

Large portions, well presented and they even tailored the dishes to how we wanted them i.e. extra spicy!! Very surprised Luton has a restaurant of this standard. A bit overpriced but hey you get what you paid for here.

The food was ok, but what let it down was the customer service. Staff just not interested, we felt like a burden. We’re locals but probably won’t return.

Just enjoyed a takeaway from Tapas, Bushmead. The best tasting Indian food. Have tried the Bhuna and Dopiaza and both are so authentic. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Have also eaten at the restaurant which does not sell or allow alcohol but when the food tastes so good a ginger beer will do.

Food is just okay but service is good

Won't be going back. We have visited twice the first time was ok but food not that impressive and expensive. The second and last visit they were very rude. Some of them are not very welcoming on arrival and one of the waiters is very abrupt when you ask questions about the food and gets irritated if you hesitate to decide. The food is nice but nothing special and over priced, when we had finished we sat talking for a while and the rudest waiter who had already shouted at us during our meal to clear our table ( dude that's your job). Was making head gestures for us to move. My friend said would you like us to leave he said yes move. The food is definitely not worth that kind of service but Doubt they will be bothered with that attitude.

I recommend this place to family’s and friends who want a nice little outing. Wasn’t too busy and the service extremely good. I would like to thank the chef and waiters as they were very friendly and went the extra mile to provide the utmost service.

Portions were too small in respect the prices charged.. We booked ahead for a group of 20... service was slow we had to keep asking for drinks and for the tables to be cleared I wouldn't go there again

it was our 2nd time coming here, after we enjoyed the food and ambience on our first visit a few months ago. We reserved a table for 5 people at 8:30pm. When we arrived the staff seated us at a round table. We waited for the staff to come and take our order, and they took the drinks order and a few minutes later the meal order. This was all at 9pm. We ordered 2 special tawa platters as we knew 1 would not be enough for all of us. At this point, none of the staff thought to move us to a large table to accommodate the platters. We were given our food…45 mins later and the staff attempted to SQUEEZE/PUSH the two platters on top of this SMALL round table. At this point we said it is not possible for TWO tawa platters to be shoved on top of each other with no space to put our plates on the table and actually move/eat the food. The waiter began to argue with us and told us that even though we could see there was a large rectangle table available right now (9:45pm) it had been reserved for someone at 9:15 and they had “requested a rectangle table” which was absurd. One of the waiters apologised and said he did raise concerns when the order was taken and did ask if he should move us to another table but was told by higher ups that it’ll be fine and they’ll just push it all on the table tightly and it’ll be fine. The waiter that refused to move us, then made a call and agreed to move us to the larger rectangle table. At this point, it left a sour mood as we ate. At 10pm I never saw this supposed booking arrive and the food was getting cold after all that fussing and moving. Despite the food being nice, the poor service and lack of consideration ruined our evening. If I ever come back, I will have to request “large rectangle table” just in case I order more food. We spent over £100 for a special dinner but will need to think twice before coming again.

Just moved in to Bushmead and thought after reading the reviews "great we've got a really good Indian on our doorstep". Couldn't be more wrong...popped in to order a takeaway for my wife and kids and should have walked out then, Really arrogant waiter, who gave the impression that he didn't want our custom took order and we then waited way way longer than we should have done. Prices really steep - £18 for a king prawn dish but thought reviews good and don't mind paying for quality. Got takeaway home and what a disappointment - the dishes were literally swimming in a watery sauce more like soup than sauce. We were ravinously hungry so tucked in regardless, My order only had 4 prawns in it - £4.50 a hit - I've been had, If you're hungry in the area go to the chippy or the pub and if you fancy a curry try the co-op: better quality and far better value.

I had an incredible dining experience at Tapas, We Eat Sharing Platter! The variety and flavors of the sharing platter were exceptional, offering a delightful journey through different tastes and textures. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff made the meal even more enjoyable. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delectable offerings. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a memorable and communal dining experience!

First of all, I would like to mention that this restaurant is based in a very nice area in Luton (no offence to the rest). We went for the Chatpata Wings which flavour wise were delicous. However, they were a touch too spicy for both my wife and I. For mains we went for the Green Jalfrezi and Rajasthani Laal Maas. Both were yum, can't complain. My craving for a good curry was satisfied so, full marks here. My only complaint however, was the he fact that all the food came out together. By the time we were finished with the wings, the naan was dead cold. If it wasn't for this I'd give my visit five stars. Otherwise, a great experience. The restaurant was clean, the ambience was great and the service was fantastic. Portion wise, in terms of curry - I would say one dish per person at a minimum. Would visit again :)

We went as a family for the first time and definitely the last time too, the food arrived late and was COLD on telling the staff about this they weren't bothered neither apologised about it!! POOR customer service!!

Love this place it never fails to impress me, their food is absolutely delicious and their service is always great. Azad is brilliant he knows exactly how we all like our food and ensures that the chef makes it accordingly. My mother is a big fan of the chicken biryani here. Thank you Tapas :-)

Nice restaurant. Food sauce was good. But there was not really a good amount of lamb? And the rice portion was very small. Normally rice is a good portion for 2x person for £3.50. It’s only boiled rice. We go Turkish and Indian restaurant and the meat content is really more generous. If you want to succeed don’t be stingy on the meat??? Will I come again? Need to put more meat in the curry. I could go on Facebook but want you to be successful. Fruit cocktail to experience?

Great authentic food cooked by an Indian chef. It was absolutely fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant for both it’s vegetarian and non vegetarian food. Went again and great food. The whole family loved it.

Visited Tapas for Iftari today with a few friends. Food was lovely and everyone enjoyed it. Decor is outstanding and I can't fault the customer service. Great place to Dine. Will be definitely visiting again.

I attended a women's event held here. The place is quite small with a cosy and warm atmosphere; a pleasant place to have a small gathering. There was a set menu for the event, so we didn't see the usual Tapas menu. The food was tasty and served hot.

Very nice food, small place but very well decorated interior and ran really well. Service was also 10/10. Prices were very reasonable considering other restaurants with similar types and sorts of food are much more expensive.

Been in the UK for 8 years....everytime I eat out I'm miserable, coming from California we have tons and tons of amazing restaurants, I feel shortchanged here by ambience,food selection, and quality....but Tapas is an amazing restaurant....everything was fabulous...drinks delicious, food fantastic, service top notch, and ambience and cleanliness 5 stars...for me to give that rating is really saying something! Only one complaint....the popadam basket is a bit of a rip off at 3 pounds per person....I would say I was underwhelmed and shocked by the price....but everything else was worth it!!!! Will definitely go back again and again... When my hubby asks me what I feel like eating and I say something yummy....with no clue what I want....yesterday's experience defined my entire statement....on to a winner!

the service wasn’t the best, my friends was late and they kept pestering us giving us looks and told us if they didn’t show up soon our table would be taken from us even though the restaurant wasn’t that full.we was also ignored several times , i had to speak up in a quite angry tone to get anyone to serve us. however the food made up for it. There was a lady working there however and she was absolutely lovely then men were rude.

We order Hyderabadi Biryani and bbq with naan and sauces. All was good but biryani was not spicy at all.

Food was good one woman working at the bar making the drinks couldn’t stop staring for some reason though? Incredibly rude especially when you are constantly being stared at throughout the meal by one of the people that work there.

The food was absolutely amazing, the staff was nice, it was late and they had to go home but we were waiting for our taxi and it was snowing so they said we could wait inside even if they would be delayed. They were so kindhearted and I can never ever forget this place. Thank you for such an amazing service. I definitely recommend, you will not regret it.

The food was so mediocre for the price they are charging, I ordered chicken Hyderabadi dum biryani, 3 times they came to ask/confirm what I ordered, then the biryani came in clay pot looks so fancy but the biryani was absolutely not nice at all, looks like someone made it at home, the rice were not long as should be used for biryani, the rice were broken, stuffed in the pot, no special taste, cost £15 for some mediocre biryani, we ordered starters too, they took so long and asked us two time to confirm our orders that we said just give everything together, food took a long time to came, bhindi was ok, chaat was not nice, malai chicken tikka was absolutely tasteless, looks like lightly grilled chicken, Which obviously that's not malai chicken is, chicken 65 was the only decent dish, didn't got the courage to ordered dessert after such a disappointing and overpriced food. Would definitely not go there again.

I recently had a lovely experience at Tapaz Easy location situated at a quiet area parking is available close to the restaurant. Beautiful modern clean contemporary furnishings. Most importantly the food experience was Amazing we had mixed grill which contained a full plater of variety of meats.rice dips,nana’s…. The mock tails was delicious the waiting staff were friendly polite and very assisting. Definitely is a recommendation from my self look forward to revisiting soon. Farzana Azam

Not happy at all. Food is overpriced and was not good. I ended up with food poisioning after having chicken here . Which upon taste i knew it was raw and it tasted horrible. Plus the waitress asked me if i would like popadoms at the begining. And they did not tell me i had to pay for it until it came!! Usually restaurants give this out for free. Unfortunatly they couldnt take it back once i realised it wasnt. And they were expensive too. Then as well i ordered a mint tea it was like £3.50 and it was just a tiny teacup i got like 3 gulps out of it. Total rip off. The only good thing was the male waitors were nice and friendly. But other than that i thought it was just terrible.

First time going this evening for my dad’s birthday. Excellent food, great service from the friendly staff. This will be my go to Indian restaurant from now on. Highly recommend.

A buzzing little place in the evening . We enjoyed a lovely work meal with 8 of us . Food was lovely I opted for a curry and rice. Poppadoms although looked fancy and pleasing on the eye arnt really 4 sharing . In terms of tapas maybe I was mistaken by thinking option of smaller platters to have a few of , I didn't think this was the case. One of the more pricier places for food imo . Didn't take away from us enjoying our food though 😋 They struggled with everyone wanting to pay for their own orders rather than splitting the bill equally btwn us , unfortunately this can happen as people are feeling the pinch and simply haven't got the money but it added an extra 40 mins to pay in the evening ... Also a no alcohol premises 💚🙂

Updated review after 1 year: Upon returning to Tapas it is nice to see that there have been improvements made to the menu, where the menu has been reduced to a more manageable read. As usual, the quality is great, as is the drinks and ambience. Would strongly recommend. Initial review 1 year ago: Great food, menu is far too big. Should really be a main menu and a tapas menu, service isn’t great, drinks are some of the best I’ve had. Good food, family friendly and a nice atmosphere.

I came from the USA to visit family here in Luton and I'm so glad they suggested Tapas! Not only is the food delicious, but the service is phenomenal. Tapas offers a select variety of vegetarian and meat options bursting with flavor. Not sure what to order? Ask the staff! My server's suggestion was my favorite dish. I ate until I couldn't eat anymore! 10/10 will be coming back next year! 🤤

A nice looking restaurant based in Bushmead. it's Halal and very Muslim friendly. When i read Tapas, I always think Spanish, but unfortunately there is nothing Spanish about it. Nonetheless very stylishly decorated. Staff where friendly on arrival. It was a very busy night for a Thursday. Try and avoid the seats near the counter as there is a very noisy milkshake making machine. The Ambiance was generally good. very family friendly place. Maybe it was a very busy night or there where covid related abscences but we had to wait over 30 minutes for our starter. After a few initial teething problems and speaking to the owner the rest of the evening went really well. The owner was very responsive and really took charge. As for the food.... The Nan bread where superb and so very soft. The papri chat is reccomended. The mixed grill was nice but not the best. The Tarka Dal was awesome and definitely worth ordering. The most pleasant surprise was the owner refused to take my money at the end which showed integrity and excellent customer service. even though we had the initial problems I would still reccomended Tapas as they clearly care for their customers and with the current owner I can see a bright future.

I came here twice to dine with family and friends. Food was delicious however they were very stingy with their portion sizes. I had a chicken tikka dish, I only had probably 4 small pieces of chicken and lots of curry sauce. The rice portion is terrible it’s not enough for one person. What you pay is not what you get. The prices are expensive, surely they should be a little more generous with their portion sizes.

First visit to the restaurant and we was not disappointed. The staff were amazing and helpful right the way throughout the experience.....I say experience as this is not your average Indian restaurant its far better, the flavours of each dish and the quality of the produce was 1st class and this is really noticeable. The venue itself was immaculate and a very nice place to be with a great atmosphere. Parking is plentiful which is always a winner. Thank you for a lovely evening

I took my family here for the first time on Saturday 11th June. The decor is up to date and the seating is very comfortable. Mebs was friendly and knowledgeable and guided us through our order. When the food arrived, it was as good as we had hoped. Thank you for a lovely evening, we look forward to visiting again.

I was really excited to visit the establishment, I had heard so many good things. Sadly I was disappointed. My starter did not live up to much nor did the seafood platter we shared. We did not finish the food simply because it wasn’t all that. I not visit again. What a pity; it’s in my area!

Okay! So the good things 1st. Hand towels were amazing, the dum on the biryani was a unique presentation. The ambiance was really good and staff was polite. And now the main thing: The food! Zero. Chilli chicken was sweet, biryani was bland, just plain Zeera rice with some steamed chicken. seekh kebabs not good at all, I could only taste the strong meaty flavour but no spices at all. Overall the food was super bland! Not for an Asian family at all.
