Hard rice on biryani, only 2 pieces of chicken. Very poor quality. Never going again.

I often go there. The food was delicious 😋 as always also good service reasonable price.

Had the fish curry, dall, and rice followed by masala tea. Not bad . Been here a few times.

Some places do not need a review and A1 Dosa in Luton is one of those places. A very nice selection of very close to authentic dosas outside of India 🇮🇳 available right here. Chefs and staff are very knowledgeable, friendly , helpful and attentive. Prices are most reasonable. Have been going here for years now and A1 always puts that smile of satisfaction from good food on my face without fail.

The food they served was delicious especially the chicken kothu poratta, masala dosa. The gobi Manchurian they served was exactly same as that we get in our home place. One of the must try item here is their filter coffee, we really love that. The price for their food item much less than comparing to other South Indian restaurants in the area.

I went with my family and ordered egg fried rice with chicken chilli dry and dosa. The dosa was good. However, the egg fried rice were DISGUSTING. When I told him they are “undercooked” he said how can you say they’re undercooked , show me where is the egg undercooked? Is this how you talk to the customer? This person gestured me to get out and that I don’t know English and that I don’t even know how egg fried rice are! I mean is that how you deal with your customer? PATHETIC SERVICE! Would never suggest anyone to go there!

Dosa was good but Egg fried rice were disgusting. Upon complaining about the dish the person started misbehaving. Cx service is very poor. Worst cx service ever seen.

I don't recommend this place as its very congested and food was very disappointing. I didn't felt it as freshly cooked.

Food there is not fresh. Especially when u order starters they are just rotten vegetables cooked and fried in oil to look fresh. Had a bitter experience today for Gobi 65. I complained and still they charge for the bad food. I will never visit this place again.

I’d to pop in here to satisfy my craving for “Ulundu Wada” and they didn’t fail to do it. It was one of the best I’ve had. They have got a variety of options to choose from their menu. The service good. The place was looking very dull, and there isn’t much to talk about interior too. It would be better if they can make it more lively.

Arrived early for Luton vs Bournemouth and found this gem of a restaurant. Friendly helpful staff and very good, fresh food. All excellent value.

They took 1 hour to get my order , it was really cold in there because their shop door was open , they didn't give me my right order I asked for a vanilla icecream without fruits in it and they got me 3 scoops of strawberry icecream that didn't even taste good and they said that they ran out of vanilla flavour however, the person who took my order himself suggested to me the vanilla flavour and he took £6 for 3 scoops additionally, it just said the total on my receipt so I didn't even know how much each thing cost's.

Friendly, good value for money, tasty and its nice to be able to get southern indian food. Can take a while to prepare but its worth it to have it fresh. Excellent vegetarian options.

I have ordered Manchurian and that was really bad and served cold . When I complained it he touched with his naked hand and he said it’s okay , how can he touch the food with naked hand, really that’s was disgusting, I checked one piece after that he charged me full amount,really bad experience ,never go there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second time visiting for lunch. Food is delicious. Truly authentic flavours. Tired the butter paneer masala with paratha, mutton dosa, puri, sea food noodles.... enjoyed it all! And to finish it off with some masala tea at the end! Last time had the butter chicken, which also was excellent.

The Kothtu and fried rice was pretty good. But don’t take the cheese Kothtu option because that’s basically the normal Kothtu with small cheese pieces in it. Not like the usual Sri Lankan cheese Kothtu were used to. But the normal lamb Koththu and Lamb fried rice, I’d highly recommend

A cosy little a haven for dosa fans like me, I recently had dinner at A ONE. I've been searching for the ideal dosa as a fan of South Indian cuisine, and I believe I've found it. A pleasant place was immediately set in motion by the sizzling dosas filling the air as soon as I entered. From traditional masala dosas to innovative and fusion versions, the menu offered a wide selection of dosa alternatives. Friendly and timely service was provided. The staff guided us through the menu and gave us recommendations for must-try items

Five Stars for The Best Sri Lankan Tamil Cuisine In Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire: ‘A One Dosa.’ As I travel around the world, sampling different type of food, I wanted to eat some traditional, Sri Lankan Tamil cuisine. I had already visited A ONE DOSA in person. It is a small, intimate, friendly restaurant in Luton’s Bury Park. And recently, I placed an order via Uber Eats. And this is a review of ‘A One Dosa,’ as delivered by Uber Eats. I was staying at a hotel in Luton. And I yearned for Sri Lankan food that could be hot and spicy and of course freshly cooked. So, I tapped Uber Eats and placed an order for my favourite: the mutton kotthu rotti. I have eaten this dish in person at ‘A One Dosa.’ And this time, my order was delivered within the expected thirty minutes. So, the first plus comes here. Then, the food itself was delicious. As someone who has tasted mutton kotthu rotti all over the world, I can tell you that the chefs at ‘A One Dosa’ make one of the best kottu rottis in the world. There were plenty of yummy pieces of mutton and it was delightfully spicy. The texture of the rotti was perfect. I also had two mutton rolls which were amazing. On top of these great things, the price was the real charm behind A One Dosa. The mutton kotthu rotti was enough for two people and cost just £8.50. This is a bargain when you realise the complexity of making kotthu rotti and getting it right. And it is made by chefs who came from Jaffna, in northern Sri Lanka. These professionals know exactly how to bring up those Jaffna flavours in England! The mutton rolls, at £1.25 each is over-priced for a small piece. But, this is not a complaint as this is how most other restaurants charge for mutton rolls. This is another Sri Lankan Tamil snack that is sophisticated to make and challenging to get it right. So, next time, I would not order it. Instead, I would pick a second carton of kotthu rotti. That would have been a better value for the money. If you are not a fan of super-hot, super-spicy foods, then, I recommend you instruct the chefs at A One Dosa (via Uber Eats) to ask them not to make it too spicy! If you are not on good terms with Jaffna-standard heat within the Sri Lankan foods, you will sweat everywhere! I love it, so I cherished every bite! So, sincere thank you to the owner, the manager and the chefs of ‘A One Dosa’ for another delightful experience with Sri Lankan Tamil cuisine in England. As a small business, A ONE DOSA is one of the big, bright lights of Luton. And, ‘A One Dosa’ really is the best provider of Sri Lankan Tamil cuisine in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. Cannot get enough of this place. We love the idli dosa and batura. It’s cooked fresh and the team always have a smile. It’s a small restaurant but rarely busy at 1230 on weekends when we go. If I could change one thing it would be to bring the restaurant closer to my home😜

I haven't seen a restaurant which is closed for summer holidays . Nowhere mentioned on website or Google it's closed . Very disappointed

The white people of Luton seem to be a touch racist. Everyone told me to avoid thos area as I would get trouble, what I actually got was some delicious Gobi Manchurian and a cracking Massala Dosa.

Travelled over from Stevenage after the local Sri Lanka kitchen sadly closed. This place didn’t disappointment and tasted great! Ordered mutton biriyani, curry and mutton rolls. All taste amazing and would definitely travel over to this area !

This is the worst restaurant.ordered food by what seemed to be the manager. He got the order wrong and brought out the wrong dishes. My son was hungry and was just one started incorrect so made do. Ordered water which had 2 dead flys in it. The starters were not fresh. Ordered idle and Manchurians. The idle was like stale bread and the manchurians were hard and chewy. Obviously not fresh. There was hardly anything on the starters besides peppers and onions so that was a completely waste of money. The dosa came out but they were cold and chewy. I asked for a dosa for the mains with cheese. The guy said it won’t be a problem. When it arrived it was a dairylea cheese. He said he doesn’t have the normal cheese… when I asked where my drinks are he said if I give it to you now your son won’t eat his food. Like it has anything to do with him.he then shouted shouting and said he will finish me off if my son wasn’t here. My son is 4. I paid and left. Best way to describe him is that he has come sort of mental condition. You will know who he just by looking at him from wheb you walk in.

Ordered via uber eats. No cutlery sent even after asking. Raw food resulted in abdomen pain. Not recommended. Money wasted.

I would say third class service and they don’t have manners how to behave with customers, we have ordered food and we have been served readymade elephant wrap instead of fresh chapati. When we raised this then we have been told just carry on with that wrap and meanwhile they will serve fresh chapati, I have clearly mentioned take off that wrap and we will wait for chapatis but the guy who is in till said just have it while he will bring chapatis but at the time of billing he charged extra for it and he lied to us and argued, at the end I have paid extra but I and neither one of us will never ever go to this restaurant. Food was cold , no service, they took 40 min to serve standard thali etc. I would not recommend this restaurant at all because we go out in restaurant to chill out and customer satisfaction is very important but they are zero in it.

This was the worst eat-out experience, I have ever had, they charged for the thing which was not on the plates and when I asked about it. They blamed me for lying. I don't recommend this place.

It was an incredible experience. I would say a very under rated restaurant. One of the best Asian cuisine I've had. It was authentic, rich and really exquisite. Me and my partner were there and it was very busy but everyone was so lovely and the ambience was nothing less than amazing. Thank you so much and we look forward to come again and try the Kottu!

I have been visiting this restaurant sporadically for the last few years. It is a humble and unassuming place that provides good quality food. I always have the Mysore masala dosa, it is consistently very good. The sambal and chutneys are very tasty. The dosa are very authentic and are what you would find in South India, especially the udupi restaurants. The price is very reasonable and the staff are polite and friendly. This is one of the only places I know of in Beds/Herts area that provides authentic South Indian cuisine.

This place used to be my go to place for lunch. after the owner left and the chef has changed it has gone downhill. did not enjoy my meal here. only redeeming item on the menu was teh chilli paneer.

Staff are friendly and helpful. He recommended the special dosa which I'd never had before - I really enjoyed it! The atmosphere was very calm. The decor could be upgraded as it looks a bit tired.

Personally, I feel this is the best place for a Hyderabadi who likes chicken fried rice. This is the best chicken fried rice I have ever tasted in Luton. Which is very similar to Hyderabad street food😍. Price is £5.99

Awful Awful delivery. Don't trust when they said food will arrive in 45 minutes, it took one and a half hours. Worse thing is after few calls they don't answer your number. Very bad.

The dosa is very tasty! Me and my partner go here frequently and we’re never disappointed! The only feedback I have is that the chutney and sambar isn’t always very tasty however the service and dosa is great.

Very poor customer service . The food was so salty and couldn’t even take a bite.we ordered for 5 and it all came with 20 mints gap which spoiled our get together . We even told them about the salty noodles and rice but they ignored and argued against. Not gonna go there anymore .if someone wanna still try please tell them to make it with less salt ..good luck .

So normally I don’t get to give 2 to anyone because I go to 4.0+ places. This place gets a 2 from me. I ordered Mutton Ceylon Curry and Rice. I should have taken a magnifying glass with me to search the mutton pieces in the curry. i had like 4 small pieces in a £6 curry. rice was also such a small quantity. I thought well maybe its a south Indian place not too much Ceylon or lamb ran out. So I ordered a basic dish. Plane Dosa. The name is AOne Dosa right? The dosa was salty, overcooked and absolutely no taste. They could do better. Price is not too less. They should focus on quality and quantity. This is the picture of the Ceylon curry and rice.

Sorry but the total experience was horrendous, will never go there again, very poor in every way. Sorry!

The Idly was hard and dry. Masala Tea was like regular tea. There was only 1 man working the till, serving food and clearing tables on a busy Sunday. Poor service, bad food.

We have ordered from Aone dosa a few times, the food was extremely spicy today and the chapati was rock hard I thought it was a popodam not worth £1.50. After this unfortunately we won't be ordering from them again

The worst unhygienic restaurant I ever seen. I will not call this a restaurant. A room with 4 tables with a sitting capacity around 12-14 people. There was no covid measures taken by this restaurant. No hand sanitisation available, waiters not wearing masks, I saw chefs using phone while cooking which I feel disgusting. The condition of toilet is beyond imagination. There are two small toilets inside washing room. The hand washing basin is not working, so need to go inside toilet cabin to wash hands. No handwashing liquids or soap available. The tables are so close to each other if seating capacity is full, there will be body contact with the person sitting on next table. Taste of food is average. Wish they will improve in future..

If I could give it zero I would, everything was stale and not edible, potatoes where hard, veg Munchurian were hard as a rock literally couldn’t cut into them, and the dosa was soggy…if you had dosa before you know there’s nothing right about a soggy dosa and the filling was a bland mush, avoid at all cost.
